It's in the newly remodeled side of the Del Amo Fashion Center. I'm giving the store 3 stars based on the esthetics. This is the only Zara I've ever set foot in because I always thought that it was a women's clothing store. Zara...it's a name that says "I sell over priced women's clothing." When I did find out that they sold men's clothes as well, I decided to go in. I was surprised to see that it was a complete men's store and that the women's store was on the floor below it. I was taken aback that a store called Zara would give the men's clothes it's own complete space. The store is nicely laid out and the clothes are nice and stylish. The prices were not too unreasonable. Then I started trying things on You definitely have to be in good physical condition and a petite man. I wear a medium in most shirts and jackets...sometimes a large in jackets. The first thing I tried on was a jean jacket with the wool lined collar...very cool looking. Disclaimer: I am a woman writing this from my partners Yelp account (with his permission) because I don't have a Yelp account! So my partner and I both went to buy clothes at Zara. We had no issues when shopping in the men's department for him, he was able to try on the clothes and show me in the fitting room. There were also other girlfriends there checking their boyfriends outfits. When I went to go try on clothes in the women's section they wouldn't let my partner even stand in the waiting area of the fitting room (far away from the actual changing area). A very aggressive sales associate (Chloe) kept telling him he couldn't even stand near the outside of the fitting area so I could show him the clothes I was buying. When I complained to the manager he claimed men can't be in the women's fitting room area because the curtains don't close properly. He also claimed that women are not allowed to wait outside the men's fitting rooms but this is a lie as the entire changing room of the men's department (and the entire men's sales department itself) is run by female sales associates. This is completely sexist, not only are women allowed in the men's changing area, the entire changing room is run by female sales associates. Why can't these women be looking in on my fiancé changing? It is not okay for the policies to be so different for the men's and women's departments. It is not fair for Zara to assume that women are not looking in on men changing. If the manager's point holds true then he cannot have female sales associates working the men's fitting rooms. My fiancé said he was even uncomfortable that the female sales associate was right outside his changing room in which the curtain doesn't close. Also my partner hates that the men's department is filled with women. How are they possibly going to help him pick men's clothes? Why would he be comfortable with them being in the fitting rooms where the curtains don't close? Why are women only allowed to be uncomfortable about showing their naked body to the opposite gender? Are the saleswomen just supposed to flirt with guys to help zara sell clothes? The only men working at Zara were at the register of the women's department not even working the sales floor of the men's department or the fitting room (where women supposedly aren't allowed). Also they should just get curtains that actually close or invest in doors so everyone can be safe and comfortable. Zara is so cheap it is ridiculous. The customer service was over the top good! Why did some people give this a bad rating? I was in the men's department doing a return and wanted to get a different jacket in another size and they went out of their way to find it for me! They looked it up on the computer to see if it was at other Zara stores, and then when it wasn't they looked to see if I could order it online. I walked in to pick up an order and the sensors alarmed. The security guard, Maria Stone, approached me to check if I had a security tag on any of my items. I dug in my bag and I had a ton of receipts, but no security tags, so I went outside to throw them all away to see if that would work. Tried to replace an item that I purchased damaged and didn't notice at first but because I had removed the tags they would not replace it even though I had the receipt and was within the 30 days warranty period. The sales person called a "higher authority" which was just another sales person who told me the exact same thing - completely unhelpful. Just had a terrible customer service experience at Zara in Del Amo Fashion Center. I tried to return a kids shirt (unworn with price label still attached) and was denied because I had lost the receipt. The manager is rude and unhelpful to customers and her pissed off face says it all. Went to Zara to pick up an online order at store. Provided the manager the order number but the manager would not use the full digits to look up the order (she only used the last 2 digits) and of course the order did not pop up. She insisted that a printed order confirmation must be present in order to get package. Worked with another store customer rep and she was more than helpful and when provided the same information as the manager, the other customer rep was able to retrieve the package. Anyways, the whole point is that the manager is purposely unhelpful and provides really poor "service" (if you can even call that). Based on other reviews, seems like many other customers are having issues with the store manager Jessica as well. I think Zara corporate and the district manager should be notified of such incidents and will be more than happy to push this to the top. read more

I came here to shop around for a new skirt, and was surprised that they were having a sale. Of course the store was chaotic due to the amount of shoppers trying to take advantage of the good deals. I wanted to try on some skirts I found and one of the employees told me that the fitting rooms were closed for an hour, while giggling with other co workers. I proceeded to buy one out of the four skirts I originally wanted to purchase. I would have taken them all but I was told that sale items were final sale items and I could not do any returns or exchanges. I waited 37 minutes to check out, even though there were two lines at the register, one for purchasing and the other for returns/exchanges. I was annoyed by one of the employees taking customers from the returns/exchanges line bc it made the wait even longer. Why bother making two lines if the employees are going to ignore their own rules? This is the most unpleasant experiences I have had while shopping. I would rather go all the way to the Hollywood store rather than come back to this location. Management needs to clean up house and recruit people with better customer service. The customer service in this store is downright infinitely horrible. Just because I wanted to return some clothes that I bought online they refused to help me. There isn't anything in the return policy that says you cannot return or exchange online items in the store. She came out with an attitude with her hands on her hips and shaking her head all upset that we were asking about the $0.40 difference for something we weren't even making a purchase on, since it was an even exchange. Went in to exchange 3 pairs of shorts I bought online for the EXACT style just a smaller size. The staff helped me get the smaller size for 2 out of the 3 because they didn't have one in stock (not a problem) I go to the checkout line to exchange the 2 shorts and the girl takes the shorts I purchased online, rings up the new ones and tells me what I owe. I told her I wanted an even exchange. She tells me, "we can't do that cause you purchased these online." I've never heard that before. So I tell her give me the shorts I purchased back, and I'll do the exchange online. She calls her manager to reverse what she did and he says, we can't. I'm starting to get annoyed. She explains to him what I was trying to do and he tells her, she can exchange as long as it's the same items, but then looks at me and tells me they can no longer do the exchange cause they already processed the return for the shorts I purchased!! I am totally disappointed with the rigidity of Zara's return policy. I attempted to return a white blazer around noontime today, still with tags on, that I bought last week from the Del Amo store as the item was just too loose. The cashier advised that since there's no receipt, the best she can do was exchange the item for another size. She checked the inventory but the store did not have a size small and referred me to the Oaks store, which is 30 miles away. I told her that it's too far and too inconvenient. I requested for a store credit instead but she refused and gave me the customer service number to battle it out. The cashier was totally unconcerned and indifferent, just doing her job I suppose. I called the customer service number and was flatly refused. At this day and age of technology, the cashier could have easily tracked down the transaction from the attached tags. Additionally, businesses tend to pride themselves with customer service and a simple store credit, at the very least, could have satisfied this customer.
