I don't know what possessed me to pick up lunch here. I was two miles from home and didn't feel like turning around and driving 5 miles off the island to go to Chick-fil-A. I had not been to a Zaxby's in years. I was on a conference call and decided to use the drive thru. I don't know if there were staffing issues, but it seemed to take forever for the food to be prepared. I was probably 5th in line on the drive-thru line and everything seemed to be in slow motion! When my food was ready, I went and drove home to eat. Going home to eat was the smartest thing I did, because there were no napkins in the bag! The breading on the chicken was dark brown. My initial reaction was they burned the chicken in the deep fryer. I opened the sandwich and bit the chicken and it was actually tender. So I put the sandwich back together and ate it. Obviously from looking at the dark color of the chicken coating they never change the grease in the fryers! This location was rebuilt about a year and a half ago; they need to get their act together. read more

Worst service ever!! We ordered through DD 2 - 5 piece tender meal tossed in TT but we got 2 - 4 piece meals no TT. We called them and they said take it with DD. DD didn't cook and pack the food. Amazing fries but the service is bad. There was this one woman and as she gave us our food, we where checking if they forgot my sauce because they ALWAYS forget our sauce, she is looking at the ceiling and she is just making this annoyed face and piercing her lips. My aunt says "I'm so sorry we are just checking for our sauce" the lady doesn't even look at us. Sorry you had a bad day but that doesn't give you an excuse to treat us like that. read more

This is the least Customer Service friendly restaurant I have ever been to even considering McDonald's. They can't put ketchup on. They can't put mustard on. They can't take something out. Really great fast food here and a lot of it. This place has the best boneless wings I've ever had. The establishment is clean and the staff was really nice. My food came out pretty fast and tasted very good. I ordered the wings and things meal, which came with 3 chicken tenders, 5 boneless wings, a texas toast, fries, celery, and a drink. It was way too much food for me but it was all so yummy and I would love to come back. read more

Hot garbage. I even had to pull forward and wait for this masterpiece. One tiny strip of lettuce and it looks like chopped tomatoes for a salad instead of a slice of tomato for a sandwich. At least they didn't forget the cheese this time. read more

I sneaked I've over to Zaxby's from across the road during a performance at AMP. I have always found their menu rather confusing. I think they could do a better job at that Simple enough I asked if they just sold the chicken strips without the sides. They did! Cool! So I ordered those and the fantabulous cheddar bites. They are deep fried chunks of cheese. What could go wrong? Nothing really. I thoroughly enjoy those little bites of bliss. I honestly don't know why they Serve them with marinara sauce but I just pop them as is. Don't let them get cold they become something else like a doctor Jekyll Mr Hyde of cheese bites. The chicken was honestly over fried so I did not enjoy them aS much as I would normally. I've been visiting this Zaxby"s since it opened. I'd definitely say it's at rock bottom. The entire restaurant stinks, the bathrooms smell like they haven't been cleaned in months. The service is the only thing that gets the 1 star rating in my review. The owner needs to step up and bring this location up to standards before the health department steps in. Fast food truly FAST!! Long line at drive-thru only. Line moved so quickly. We pulled up to the window, paid, and immediately was handed our order. Two of us, Zacpack for 2. Decent food for our first night on the island. We were looking for something quick, fast-food like and we found it in Zaxby's. It's fairly similar to Raising Cane's for those familiar with that chain. We ordered the Zak Pak (Large), which came with 18 chicken tenders, chips, sauce, toast, Cole slaw and a gallon of sweet tea. Quality was ok, the chicken strips were pretty soggy for being "fresh". The sauce they gave was super salty and it seems that the only remedy would be to drink the sweet tea that we were given. Would I go back? Probably not. It was good enough for a fast food stop though. read more

Worst Zaxby's I have ever been to!!!! First of all when you get the chicken and asked for a sauce with it they barely put any sauce on it. Also all the employees are stuck up I had a pick up order and the girl was sitting on her phone for 10 minutes before she got to me. White cheddar bites were amazing, but other than that the food was kinda boring. They stay true to the message and have juicy chicken tenders, but nothing else caught my eye. Very busy location here on the island ... We usually order from the drive thru. The young folks working this fast food venue are polite and seem to be doing a pretty good job. They often forget celery sticks, ranch & sauce sides so be sure to ask at the window. One great benefit is that they will provide plates & silverware upon request so, if you are taking your meal to the local dive bar, park, or beach area that's a great plus! Extra wet ... The restaurant has a well developed quick service menu with health conscious options and comfort food favorites. Fried or grilled, the chicken here is good and always of reasonable quality. Don't get it twisted, this isn't your Mom's chicken. My friend/co-worker ordered a garden blue salad (as she does 2x a wk) from Zaxby's on the Island and stumbled upon a critter. Not just any ole critter...a half of cockroach! We are in Florida and do not have a loss of bugs but roaches mean dirty and last time I checked they don't travel alone! So, the young man that worked there did not handle the situation well at all. Pretty sure he is going to blame the entire incident on his prep cook when he is the BOH manager. He was nice but not trained properly. He didn't even offer her a refund at first. He did however offer her 2 free meals...what?! She of course refused! He told her the GM would call back but 2 hours later and not a ring. So, being a supportive friend I accompanied her to the location where we proudly displayed the specimen on the counter. When guests started leaving and asking for money back the GM called us back....interesting how that works! Unreal! He did offer her $20 and again free meals..eeewww...thanks but no thanks Zaxby's. Oh but there is more.....the GM told us they have had issues with lady bugs in the past but never cockroaches. The manger had a look of shock on his face when my friend said this has never happened to her before. He said, "Really? Never"...what type of environment is he accustomed to. I wonder? This place lacks in customer service. Food has always been good here. But, the main reason I gave it such a low rating is because of the service. I have used their drive thru in the past, and was disappointed. Recently went thru the drive thru again here... and they basically threw everything at me. The drink didn't even have the lid on there and I handed it back to the girl asking her to please fix it for me. It used to be a great place to go to for lunch, dimner etc. the drive through used to be better and faster than even mcdonalds at times; but now? It has all gone downhill from there. The girls working the drivethrough make fun of you when youre waiting for your food because, it seems to me, as if they feel like your business does not matter. This is by far the WORST Zaxby's I've EVER been to. If your not happy with a job that is all about customer service, then QUIT. The first thing that seemed very rude to me was that a couple of kids walked in after eating there and the male employee which I'm thinking was the manager told them they couldn't get a refill on their drinks he said that because they walked out of the store they couldn't get a refill, however they just stepped out to their car. If paid two dollars for my drink I expect to be able to refill it. When my order finally came up I did not receive the extra zax sauce that I purchased I let the employee know and she very kind but then that same male employee rudely said "what?" And rudely double checked if I paid and gave me the sauce. Then I was very disappointed by the fact that my chicken was cold. The cheese bites were also cold. It's also very uncomfortable to feel that my every move is being watched. Like can I please get some more ketchup and refills in peace. Pretty decent place and haven't gotten my order wrong at all, so things are looking good for them.

I placed my order for 3 combo meals. I was handed 1 of my 3 drinks and 2 straws, which I thought a little odd, and asked to pull up to wait. I pulled up and a guy brought my food out without my drinks. I explained that I still needed the other two drinks. He went inside for an exceptionally long amount of time and comes back with one drink. He tells me that the girl at the window already gave me 2. I told him that she had given me 1and which one it was. He repeated that she had given me the drink. I again said that I paid for 3, I now had 2 and I wanted the other one. He then told me there was nothing he could do. Um, yes, you can. You will get me the other drink I paid for. They literally acted like I was lying for a free drink while they attempted to steal the money I paid for the drink. I asked if he wanted to search the car or what, I literally had 2 drinks. I don't know if the girl gave my drink to the next car or what, but they sat there and acted like I was lying for a good 10 minutes and I finally got ready to go inside when he said he'd get a manager. She stood there with my 10 year old son's drink, not offering it, and said, "I hear there's a problem." Um, yes. I paid for 3 drinks. I got 2 drinks. That's my problem. She hands it to me and tells me to have a nice night. No apology, no, "we made a mistake". Maybe hire some people who can actually figure out what they are doing. And sometimes, remember that YOU AS EMPLOYEES MIGHT BE THE ONES IN THE WRONG. I don't write many bad reviews. My experience has to be pretty bad to actually write one. Order the House Salad, and two orders of the Lg Chicken Tenders Plate. The lettuce on the salad was wilted and old, the tomatoes were not fresh. The salad was not up to standards of other Zaxbys that I have been to and ordered from. Also when I ordered the Tenders Plate I asked for extra seasoning salt on both orders and got none one them. I also asked for extra Zaxs sauce for one of them which I paid $.23 for and got but for the other order I told them no Zaxs sauce and I want extra BBQ sauce I paid $.23 for it and only got 1 BBQ sauce. Even confirmed at the window. The tenders are dried out and the breading is falling off. I also ordered an extra side of French Fries with extra seasoning salt and they also had nothing on them. In all I paid $37.69 for this meal which is really over priced compared to home and I live in a tourist area. I would not recommend this place to anyone.
