My learnings: Pretty expensive for a a couple sandwiches- double burger and a patty melt, 2 small drinks= $22 You need to ask for ketchup on your burger as the default seems to be mustard. It was very dry. Wife didn't love the patty melt: "too much bread" Nice people- and a good amount of staffing - however my moments inside before ordering they were a little distracted, and left me waiting- not a huge deal. We went by after church around 9 PM. The place was clean and fairly busy. We were greeted right away and the lady patiently waited while we decided what to order. I usually get the jalapeno and cheese burger with a double patty, and this is what I got again. When my food came it was exactly what I ordered, however there were not many jalapenos and there were about 5 pickles, all in the same spot, I had to spread them out myself. My son ordered a banana pudding milkshake. It was so thick that he had to let it thaw a bit before he could drink it through the straw. This is never a bad thing. He was disappointed that they have a limited time mushroom and swiss burger and were out of mushrooms. Limited tome items should always be available as long as the offer is running. Stopped in late last night with my son. Dining room wasn't the cleanest... a few ketchup packets and order numbers were left sitting on tables like they'd been there a while. I decided to try the promo Wrangler Burger, but it came out pretty dry. Just well-done meat and cheese without enough sauce or toppings to help it out. My son stuck with his usual tender meal and was happy, so I probably should've stayed in my lane with a sweet & spicy burger instead of rolling the dice. The dining room wasn't busy, but it looked like most of the attention was on the drive-thru. I tried to get some ketchup, and it took standing at the counter for a while while employees walked past, joking with each other by the grill. Eventually someone came over with a quick "you betcha," but the wait was frustrating. Not the worst Whataburger stop, but definitely not the best either. Stopped by after leaving Jacksonville. I've never been to a Whataburger before, and was pleasantly surprised. We chose to dine in, and the inside needs some help. Slippery floors, stinky bathroom, dirty tables- but this is a fast food joint, so I didn't expect anything spectacular. I will say that the burgers were REALLY GOOD! Reminded me of McDonald's burgers (because of the onions) but bigger and better. The fries were decent, and the sauce selection was great. (Heads up, it's .55 per sauce cup, but they're bigger than normal sauce packets). I couldn't even finish my burger and fries, and I ordered a medium size. I've eaten here numerous times without issue. This is a franchised location and definitely not as nuanced as one of the family owned locations in the Central Texas Hill country. Nonetheless, their burgers are always fresh, hot and well executed. The pickled jalepenos are always fun. The Chicken sandwich is also very good. The double cheeseburger hold the onions and pickles turned out as a triple cheeseburger with jalapeños, tomatoes, lettuce and pickles slathered with catsup. Y'all on here with one star....you know it's "fast food" right? This being my second experience here, I'd say it's really good fast food. We used the drive-thru and were greeted pleasantly. The order was repeated and correct. We waited behind two other vehicles and paid after the order was repeated again. Our food was brought to us quickly and the employee was so nice. Everything was exactly as ordered and hot. Plenty of napkins and I love the wrappers on the burgers. I had the mushroom Swiss burger. It was perfectly cooked and a lot to eat. I've been here many times and the service really isn't the best. The food is great and I never have any problems with the quality but the wait time after you order is absolutely ridiculous. Pleasantly surprised! I use to be a huge Whataburger fan and when they are on point, they have the best fast food burger. However, in the past I had several bad experiences back to back. I had to write them off from my regular places. That was 5 years ago. I was wanting a burger and didn't want to drive to Jax so I decided to try it again. It was good. This is the first Whataburger I've been to since the terrible one in Melbourne, FL closed. OMG! I got the #2 double burger with cheese combo. We stopped by after a weekend in Orlando. During our drive back to NC we decided to grab a bite to give Whataburger another chance two years. My first experience in Texas wasn't great. I drove my husband and son 17 miles out of our route and let's just say, never again. My burger, jalapeño cheeseburger, was cold and since it was not heated properly the cheese wasn't melted and cold. Took forever in the car line but the breakfast was pretty tasty and not much to complain about.

This has got to be the slowest and worst whataburger in all of America. Unfortunately this is my local joint but there's no way this place would survive if it wasn't for out of towners. I've tried to give this place a new chance every 6 months or so and in the last year and a half the 4 times I have been there I have waited over 30 mins from arriving to getting my food. Half of the food is cold. My order of medium onion rings had about 4 rings, the fries were half full and the kids meal extra "side" (fruit snacks) are missing every time. Why even bother asking what we want as the side. I really don't understand this place. It has never been "excessively" busy. There were 3 cars in drive through waiting to pay/food. One car in front of me who I pulled up behind. 10 mins before someone took her order even. This was around 5 pm on a Sunday. read more

Today I'll be reviewing the Double Meat Whataburger and fries from Whataburger So I walk into the store, nothing out of the ordinary, typical checkout. The Burger: Ok my burger was wrapped upside down and it was falling apart, condiments where throw on carelessly. At least it was warm, they threw an extra patty on the burger (no complaints there lol). Sad part about it the parties where a bit dry. Fries: for some reason the fries took extremely long to pass out, but anyways they where just some regular ol fast food fries, carbon copy of McDonald's. Grew up near a Whataburger as a kid, but since has closed down. While I was on a day-cation in north Florida near Amelia Island, I saw a Whataburger and had to stop. I'm so glad I did. Of course I recommend this place! No one told me there's Whataburgers outside of Texas. I thought - for whatever reason- that Whataburger was only in TX. It made it seem exclusive and gave me a reason to go to Texas. But haha! I can go to GA or FL now for a delicious fresh meat patty and some chicken tenders. It was better than i remembered. It was super filling. I didn't try their white sauce? But the kind of honey mustard they have on hand is on my list of "favorite Honey Msutards from a FF establishment". This location had a very friendly cashier and their Mediums look like a large! I enjoyed the every bit and so did my family. It was the first time in our travel that we felt seriously full! Whataburger double burger all the way without cheese without onions oh my how delishious can you be....oh so good that we did not even have time to take a picture of even a wonderful morsel. Burp. I ordered the meal with the tea so the the G man could share in the French Fries and he ordered the double burger with cheese and everything....including the onions. No smooches for him tonight. Our experience from order to delivery to the table was smooth and perfect. We had hardly any wait time and the burgers were hot, juicy and delishious. The fries were super crispy just like we like them and they gave us so many that we actually had to throw some away. The restaurant inside was sparkling clean and the drink area was also very cleaned and filled to capacity with straws, napkins and all of the other utensil needs. We did not need to check out the bathroom, but if it was anything like the rest of the place I would assume it was also pristine and clean. I have to say they rate a 5 star on this visit. read more

I enjoy the variety of burgers, the fries are tasty I give them a 4 out of 5 (in comparison I give Wendy's fries a 1 because they taste like dirt). The onion rings are really good, and the seasonal burger Pico Burger, is very tasty and just spicy enough to make it an awesome experience. I also recommend you come through for breakfast and try their chicken biscuit which to me tastes way better than a Chick-fil-A biscuit. I was working in Fernandina last Sunday and drove past this Whataburger several times during the day, I decided I would get a burger and fries after I was finished. So all afternoon I thought about it, and I showed up about 3:30 to order. I went inside and the restaurant was a mess, and the bathroom was a mess too with a wet floor and trash overflowing, There were employees everywhere, all looked very young. Several were sitting, eating, and laughing in the customer eating area. I waited in line to order and after observing all of this I decided to leave. I walked next door to Zaxby's and found the opposite, a clean restaurant with a clean restroom, and very helpful and friendly employees. I rarely write reviews, I looked for an email for the owner but did not find one. You need to do some surprise visits and watch what's happening. read more

OK so we're in a really small town and sometimes you've got to think outside of the proverbial box to stay entertained. So seeing as we'd never been to Whataburger or Tasty's we decided to give them a head to head challenge, a burger battle to the death so to speak. We had ground rules the exact same order from both places and since we'd never been to either place a blind taste test and judges were not needed we'd be our own judges. We ordered from both a double cheese burger with onions, tomato, and ketchup, french fries, my wife scooped the drinks as I stay away from soda just a water guy here mainly and if by chance some Scotch falls into the water more the better, alas I travel on a tangent. So we got our double cheese burger with lettuce, onions, and mustard; not a good start compared to the Tasty's burger it was extremely mealie, rather tasteless and of course completely wrong, the french fries reminded me of a lesser version of McDonalds. The food was a poor cousin to McDonalds and about the same value. Oh well we gave them a shot and unless something drastic happens probable won't be back. read more
