This Zaxbys is located on Lebanon Pike near the busy intersection of Lebanon Pike and Old Hickory Boulevard. For the most part, this is your standard Zaxbys location. I popped in after an afternoon on the nearby Greenway, and scooped up a Buffalo Big Zax Snack with extra seasoned fries. They gave me the extra seasoning, but forgot to toss my tendies in buffalo...so I guess I just got a regular big zax snack. Not the end of the world, as I enjoy the plain tenders, but I was craving some buffalo. Service was solid. The cashier was polite, friendly and genuinely pleasant to interact with. The store was well kept and clean. The drink station was also clean and well stocked. Given its location at this wild intersection, you are best to enter/exit via the Hobby Lobby shopping plaza. Overall, solid Zaxbys location that I wouldn't mind coming back through...but maybe I'd check my food before leaving next time. read more

Have only had the drive-thru experience a few times, but it is good! A bit greasy, but the Zax snack is a good deal (about $7). Fries are mostly fresh (the usual fast-food hustle of using old grease vs. new grease standards) and seasoned well. Chicken fingers are a bit small, but again, it's fast food. Seasoned well, especially if you get the Nashville Hot Or lemon pepper dry rub (have to upgrade to a 4-piece, but mostly worth it). Sourdough bread is good. Peach sweet tea is sooo good. Only reason for four stars (and I know it's corporate Zaxbys, not this location), but a $4 upgrade going from 3 chicken fingers to 4 is steep- the one time I did get it, I had about 6 fingers, maybe by accident? I travelled to Nashville from DC just because and one night we didn't wanna go out so we decided to order and I saw they had Zaxby's. I haven't had it in a while, but I remember it being really good when I had it in Virginia. I saw that they had lemon pepper, TRADITIONAL WINGS, so that's what I ordered because the last time I was here I didn't know they had wings. I did not receive traditional wings. We went to this restaurant with our 3 grands. I told the woman I had a mobile order. With no smile and no words she simply shook her head back and forth. I asked her to explain. She said we don't have that order. I showed it to her on my phone. She didn't look at it and insisted they didn't have it, and proceeded to get the manager. He couldn't find it. I enjoyed my first experience at Zaxby's on a previous evening that I wanted more food from this chain. I dropped by this Zaxby's location, which was on my way back to the hotel. This Zaxby's has a drive-thru. I took advantage of it. The man ahead of me needed help with his order. He hd ordered online, was expecting some item, but it was rejected. I heard the woman over the speaker, whom I would later know as Karla P., help him out. She was knowledgeable, especially when it came to the types of wings offered and all flavours. I had her when it was finally my turn to place my order. I got the following: - Teriyaki traditional wings (5) - House zalad with grilled chicken and light vinaigrette Karla was friendly and great. I paid with a credit card. All was great. She handed me my food in a bag. I thanked her and drove back to the hotel. I had dinner in my hotel room. I had cold beverages in my fridge, so I didn't need to buy one. The teriyaki wings were delicious. The wings were a good size. Five of them work well with a regular salad. The teriyaki sauce was yummy, but not terribly sweet. The wings were done perfectly. I loved my house zalad. The veggies were crispy and fresh. The grilled chicken was yummy. I loved the light vinaigrette. It came with two slices of buttered toast. Delicious! It's great reminiscing about what I ate last month. Ah, memories! I wish that there was a Zaxby's nearby. I live in the area and used to get Cobb salad often. Which used to be great (a couple years ago and then hit or miss). The last 3 times I've paid $13 for a head of iceberg lettuce. Finally the 3rd time I called to complain. They won't refund my money unless I go back into the store despite having my order number, name and c/c info. And they'll either remake it OR give me my money back. So it's completely on me when they didn't provide a product that was as described on their menu. I ordered a Cobb Salad in the drive-thru. My ranch dressing wasn't in the bag - which wasn't a big deal because I saw that they were busy. I walked into the building with my receipt to ask for some ranch dressing. After waiting for over ten minutes, the young man at the register asked what I needed. As he walked to the back of the store, a very rude girl asked if I was helped. I said "yes, he's grabbing me some ranch dressing." She said "uh, did you pay for it?" As he handed the dressing to me, the girl asked him if I paid for the dressing. I asked her to look at my receipt and she ignored me. I will not be back to this restaurant. I think I'm generally going to undertake a fellow Yelper's rating system of not giving chains more than 3 stars with few exceptions like Ruth Chris, Flemings, Roy's, and things like that, but I'm going to make an exception here because this Zaxby's was extremely clean (granted it's brand new), the employees were really nice (When I was tossing my leftovers away one noticed I was about to toss out most of my fried cheese bites, I told her I didn't care for them, and as I was walking out she handed me a coupon for a free appetizer for next time), and the fried chicken was quite, quite good. Sorry for that super long sentence The nibbler literally took me by surprise, and the chicken strips has batter on them that didn't all come off at once, but was tiny grain-like. These used to be a good size, now they are about 1/2 what they used to be. Zaxbys has an amazing selection of chicken dishes for whatever mood you are in. They also have a freestyle machine and a crushed ice machine just so you can enjoy "that good ice." I always enjoy getting their kickin' chicken meal, a buffalo chicken tender sandwich on garlic Texas toast. The fries are the only thing I don't enjoy here. I absolutely despise crinkle cut cafeteria fries. They would be so much better with twice fried hand cut fries. Unfortunately none of the Zaxby's in South Nashville are worth a visit. Horrible service. Filthy dining room. Poorly cooked food and food handling. After several attempts, they've continued to fail. I swore off Zaxby's thinking they were all horribly managed. Decided to give one more try - in Hermitage on Lebanon. Incredible experience. Night and day. Super clean dining area even at peak of day. Food was cooked perfectly. Staff wasn't very engaging but also not rude. It was an enjoyable experience. And even though the Antioch, Nolensville Rd and Brentwood locations are more convenient, I will only way Zaxby's when in Hermitage. Wish the Hermitage store could train the others. read more

I've had a couple of items off the menu and they were both fine. Nothing amazing, but neither were bad. I would say the positives are that the inside of the restaurant was clean and new and they also have the cool touch screen Coke machine that lets you add your choice of flavors to your soda. A place with a decent chicken salad. My current favorite is the zen salad. My grandson is happy with his chicken and fries. And now my husband has joned the fan club. Calls to see if I have started to cook. If I haven't the sly guy asks if I would like a zaxby's salad. I have my sandwich moods. Have not found one I wouldn't try again. The only down side is it took so long to get one in Hermitage. The staff is always friendly. The order is always correct. The food is always what I excect. The dining area nice and clean.
