I place this order on DoorDash so I cannot account for the service or the atmosphere just the food quality that I received. I travelled to Nashville from DC just because and one night we didn't wanna go out so we decided to order and I saw they had Zaxby's. I haven't had it in a while, but I remember it being really good when I had it in Virginia. I saw that they had lemon pepper, TRADITIONAL WINGS, so that's what I ordered because the last time I was here I didn't know they had wings. I did not receive traditional wings. I have no idea what to even call that of which I received, but you can look at the pictures for yourself. I also had three white pieces of something floating around in my drink. I was so disappointed. I threw everything away!

I enjoyed my first experience at Zaxby's on a previous evening that I wanted more food from this chain. I dropped by this Zaxby's location, which was on my way back to the hotel. This Zaxby's has a drive-thru. I took advantage of it. The man ahead of me needed help with his order. He hd ordered online, was expecting some item, but it was rejected. I heard the woman over the speaker, whom I would later know as Karla P., help him out. She was knowledgeable, especially when it came to the types of wings offered and all flavours. I had her when it was finally my turn to place my order. I got the following: - Teriyaki traditional wings (5) - House zalad with grilled chicken and light vinaigrette Karla was friendly and great. I paid with a credit card. All was great. She handed me my food in a bag. I thanked her and drove back to the hotel. I had dinner in my hotel room. I had cold beverages in my fridge, so I didn't need to buy one. The teriyaki wings were delicious. The wings were a good size. Five of them work well with a regular salad. The teriyaki sauce was yummy, but not terribly sweet. The wings were done perfectly. I loved my house zalad. The veggies were crispy and fresh. The grilled chicken was yummy. I loved the light vinaigrette. It came with two slices of buttered toast. Delicious! It's great reminiscing about what I ate last month. Ah, memories! I wish that there was a Zaxby's nearby. I love salad and a drive-thru way to pick up one would be great right now. I had a great experience. I hope to return someday and try the chicken fingers. (330)

I ordered a Cobb Salad in the drive-thru. My ranch dressing wasn't in the bag - which wasn't a big deal because I saw that they were busy. I walked into the building with my receipt to ask for some ranch dressing. After waiting for over ten minutes, the young man at the register asked what I needed. As he walked to the back of the store, a very rude girl asked if I was helped. I said "yes, he's grabbing me some ranch dressing." She said "uh, did you pay for it?" As he handed the dressing to me, the girl asked him if I paid for the dressing. I asked her to look at my receipt and she ignored me. I will not be back to this restaurant. That employee reflects the image of Zaxby's.

    It's nice in here.

I think I'm generally going to undertake a fellow Yelper's rating system of not giving chains more than 3 stars with few exceptions like Ruth Chris, Flemings, Roy's, and things like that, but I'm going to make an exception here because this Zaxby's was extremely clean (granted it's brand new), the employees were really nice (When I was tossing my leftovers away one noticed I was about to toss out most of my fried cheese bites, I told her I didn't care for them, and as I was walking out she handed me a coupon for a free appetizer for next time), and the fried chicken was quite, quite good. Sorry for that super long sentence The nibbler literally took me by surprise, and the chicken strips has batter on them that didn't all come off at once, but was tiny grain-like. The best chain fried chicken I've had. Their "medium" drink is absurdly large. I'm still curious how I spent $12 here, too. I had the cheese bites, 5 chicken strips, a nibbler and a medium drink. I'll be back.

I find it hard to believe this was the same Jackson experience that Guy Fieri had. It was tasty but the bread to topping/au jus ratio was an after thought and with limited toppings the sandwich seemed small. The server recommended the mac and cheese and it was good but felt like a ready made. The chicken sandwich again it was fine super thin chicken with limited toppings. I'm always looking for a place to eat in Donelson before my Wednesday bowling league, and this fit exactly what I was craving. Local, Mexican-inspired food, dedicated parking lot, easy to get in & out quickly. The parking lot was quite popping tonight, and I did have to loop through it a couple of times to find a spot even though it is pretty spacious. A place that's been open since 2017 and is still this busy on a Wednesday is a good sign. This is part coffee shop, part restaurant, so there are two different doors. I inadvertently went through the coffee shop one and they redirected me to the restaurant side, no problem at all. I was able to be seated at a table with no wait. My waitress came right over with water and a menu, and I was clear with her that I had about a half hour before I needed to leave. She quickly took my order, giving me recommendations when I asked for advice and was torn between a couple of different things. The menu is large and reasonably priced with a very wide selection of drinks. This isn't the most authentic Mexican food, but man is it tasty. Lots of fresh ingredients and so much flavor, a real crowd pleaser for dietary restrictions and picky eaters! I was torn between chips and queso and a burrito, so it was to my benefit that the chicken burrito comes with a side of chips and salsa, and paying a small upcharge to swap in queso meant I got all of the things I was craving in one order. Pinto beans, guacamole, chipotle aioli, and rice all packed in and put on the griddle so you get that nice sear. There's an option to add a cheese skirt to the burrito that I skipped this time but would absolutely come back for. The chips were thin and crispy, the queso hot and delicious, and I couldn't have asked for more at the price. The burrito is $11 on its own and with the chicken and my upcharge I came to about $19 with tax, plus tip. When the waitress brought my food she also brought my check and a box so I could take the other half to go and get everything out of the way. In and out in thirty minutes with food that was hot, fresh, and super delicious. The service here really goes the extra mile. Easy for a solo diner, easy for a group, and easy to just walk in for a quick meal. My only small gripe is that they may still be too popular for their parking lot, which should be slightly bigger. They've also got an interesting set of coffee and matcha drinks and a brunch menu I'd love to come back for. This is a hidden gem, and I hope locals keep showing up for the great places we already have instead of only chasing whatever just opened!

They have also really step it up with the games and playing area for kids to just run around and enjoy their time while parents and adults can also enjoy their time. The food has gotten better but I'm still not impressed so I still think they're overpriced. Service: they did "try" to work it out but very poorly. My sister made a reservation for 13 people but somehow they only had one our reservation, quote "10 or 11 people" so they were not prepared either way. We only had 1 extra person showed up. They gave us one (1) picnic table for our party. Even if it was "10 or 11" of us we would have not fit in one of the picnic tables even adding the two chairs at the end, and we didn't. It's better to say they made a mistake than to blame the patrons. There were 2 open tables that could have been used but our server wasn't assigned them... the must dumb excuse on the book. I've worked in restaurants and we always made it work for the customer and the serve, mind you, they were right next to each other. Communication between managers, servers and host/hostess could have been better. Also, I don't like they make you share tables with people you don't know. I love meeting people but this isn't Monell's y'all. Get different kind of seating if you are not going to be open seating in that area. It makes it less awkward to our wallets when we are all chilling and ask, "can we seat here" knowing that you have to say "yes, sure" unless you have your people coming to save you. Overall all, having overwhelmed staff for a planned holiday that happens every years is just unpreparedness of the establishment and a sour taste to the customer. Please do come and try it for yourself.

Their specialty is craft beer and pizza, and they I typically go for both of those when here. On a recent visit for a quick dinner, I wanted something a bit lighter because I had to go play bowling after and tried a menu item that's always intrigued me: the blueberry chicken sandwich on their house made panuozzo bread. I expected this would be like a chicken salad but the waitress said it came hot and melty, and I was in the mood for a risk. And man did the risk pay off, this sandwich was one of my favorite things I've eaten all month! It comes hot and melty with a house made pesto, blueberry compote, fontina, and thin pieces of chicken, perfectly cooked. The panuozzo bread is almost as if you made naan out of pizza dough, and it keeps everything nicely contained without making the sandwich too bready. The flavors are unexpected but work so, SO well together - truly a work of genius. I paired it with their shake shake fries, which have an awesome seasoning (not spicy, just adds flavor) and a Diet Coke. Service was so kind and helpful, even on a busy Wednesday night. I was able to get in and out within 40 minutes, which was a win for the time crunch I was in but I still felt relaxed to eat my sandwich at my leisure. I love it the level of consistency in quality and service here after so many years - I truly always know I'm guaranteed to have a great meal in a relaxed atmosphere with helpful servers every time I come. The restaurant is in a complex of several establishments. The dining room decor is modern with seating on two levels. We ordered the bruschetta appetizer to start and some drinks. The appetizer came out promptly and was nicely done, with plentiful helpings of burrata and cherry tomatoes layered with balsamic pearls. The pearls have the appearance of caviar so it was a pretty and flavorful twist. Unfortunately, that was the end of the positives. Our dinner entrees included the chicken parmesan and grilled salmon. Both were overcooked and the salmon in particular (I asked for it to be rare in the center) was so throughly cooked it had a very grainy texture. The sauce was bland and the pasta overly soft. Add a savory gravy, some melt in your mouth fries that are married to a delicious hot chicken or your preferred heat level and you're left with a unique delicious experience. We paired the medium with this and it was a perfect match. There was plenty of cheese and was a dish you could easily share based on the portion size. Loved it!!! -Chicken tenders (Nashville hot)/ 5/5 Leaving the review for the Nashville hot because that's why you come here, right? Forget Hattie's, forget Princes, forget Dave's hot chicken... I'm making my claim that this is a chicken that's been very well crafted and paired with a cayenne heat that packs a punch you can tolerate. It's a burning sensation that lasts, but invites you for another bite which is what you want with a tender like this. Plenty of meat with a breading that's still crispy even after it's dipped in the fire. You can dip it in ranch or blue cheese but it doesn't need it. THIS is Nashville hot chicken and you won't be disappointed. So glad our friend recommended this spot, having tried other chicken restaurants throughout our trips and many states. I'd come back to this location to get my kick of Nashville hot chicken. Ask for Julie!
