Last Friday was only my 3rd time ever trying Zaxby's and it was also my first trip up to Milton on my way to Cumming. I originally tried getting lunch from Moctezuma's in Alpharetta, but that fell through, so I ended up at the drive-thru here on my way to Fowler Park for something that would hopefully be quick and affordable. There were only two cars in the drive-thru at the time. The line moved quickly and the girl at the window was very sweet. I ended up getting the 4pc tender meal - as I've learned anything more is just too much with all the carbs they give you. It came with the usual crinkle cut fries, cole slaw, and Texas toast. I got cheese curds on the side, just because I don't get them that often anywhere else. I ended up sharing part of my sides with others as it was too much and I got bloated quickly. The food was great. I got ranch, honey mustard, and the Zax sauce plus marinara with everything. I'm finding that Zaxby's usually does a great job of making quality chicken. As someone else said they don't grind it up and give you the pink slime stuff. It's not my first go-to place for chicken though usually, just because I prefer biscuits and other sides over fries and the underwhelming Texas toast that is served at Zaxby's. By the time you get to where you need to be and eat, the toast is usually soggy and not especially flavorful to begin with. Other than that, Zaxby's does provide a affordable, filling option for drive-thru and this location is great as far as I can tell. I would come back to this one again if I needed to. read more

This Zaxby's location is pretty good overall. The food is consistently good, the restaurant is clean, and the staff are nice. I've had some minor issues here occasionally, but that's bound to happen when you go to the same place quite often. My complaint with Zaxby's in general is that they don't have grilled chicken strips. They do serve a grilled chicken sandwich and offer grilled chicken as an option for salads- I mean, zalads. The chicken finger meals come with Zax's sauce by default, and you can order additional sauces for $0.25 each. I really love that Zaxbys has (and as equally important, keeps stocked) the Coca-Cola Freestyle machine. My husband and I come here just for that oftentimes. Did online order at 4PM on a Sunday and arrived there in about 5 minutes after placing order online. Should have known it was not a busy time the food was not fresh but my wife saw their ad on TV and want Zaxbys. Sure enough the chicken was barely warm and old. Half the fries were hard and could not eat them. Should have waited to 6PM or so to go during evening rush when food is being made fresh. Also food was in a plastic bag and tied on top. So the inside of the bag was wet from the condensation. Maybe they could switch to paper bags and crimp the top so food can stay hot and no condensation build up in the bag. read more

DO NOT EAT HERE. I had a horrible experience at this Zaxby's. I ordered a 5 chicken finger platter a couple weeks ago and got burnt fingers, stale fries, and MISSING fingers (4/5)! I specifically asked for extra Zaxby's sauce --- they gave me NO SAUCE but instead a cup of sweet and sour that looks like it came out of a Chinese restaurant. Today Feb. 20th at 1:30pm I went back into the restaurant to explain my experience to management and put in an order. The manager (Store 33901) told me there is nothing she can do about it without a receipt. No.. sorry, I didn't keep my receipt from 2 weeks ago. I asked if she could look it up by my card - no dice. I could have accepted this if I was given a sincere apology. However.. she was not apologetic and instead looked annoyed. She explained it is Zaxby's policy not to refund or comp customers without a receipt. That is how this ended - I left without ordering and went to Chick-fil-A instead. I will never go to this Zaxby's again. Furthermore, I am going to write a letter to corporate. They do not value their customers or maintain minimum standards for their food. I agree with Bill S - Zaxby's is my comfort food lunch. Whenever I'm having a bad day at work, in need of some caloric therapy, I head to this Zaxby's. The staff is friendly and the service is pretty fast, considering most Zaxby's are somewhat slower than other fast food chains. In case you haven't been to a Zaxby's, I highly recommend anything with Buffalo sauce, particularly the Big Blue Zalad Buffaloed. I also love the fries - they're crinkle cut, but not too soggy, as is often the case with crinkle fries. The Zax sauce is dangerous - so dangerous that they charge you for extra of it. And of course the sweet tea is delicious! The only bad thing about this Zaxby's is that it's darn near impossible to get to, since there's only one entrance, and it's on Old Milton. I usually end up pulling through the CVS parking lot. Also, it gets quite crowded at lunch, so even if I'm getting it to go, I park my car and go in, since it's usually faster (judged by seeing if the last car in line when I park is through the drive through when I pull out). I also like that the Zalads are served in china bowls when you dine in the restaurant - a nice touch. read more
