I'm giving two stars instead of one just in case this was an anomaly... but judging by previous reviews, it wasn't. Plain and simple, at 9 PM on a Sunday night, there were four cars in front of me in the drive through line. I waited in line for approximately 10 minutes and the first car still hadn't moved. I decided to leave, drove by the first car and didn't get the impression that they were ordering a lot of food... it seemed like they sluggish pace was fully on Zaxby's. Unfortunate to have to rate a Zaxby's so low as I'm a big fan of the company, but this location is either understaffed or the staff is inept/slow/lazy. Moral of the story: don't drive through here at night. Hopefully the daytime's better! read more

Worst experience ever at a Zaxbys. First of the layout of the drive thru is terrible. I went on a Sunday afternoon and there were only 4 cars in line. Literally took 30 minutes to get through the drive thru. When I got to the window this girl says "sorry bout that" and then takes my money, gives me my food. I wish I would have read reviews before I ordered. This place is complete trash. Not only was my order completely incorrect, but what I did receive, wasn't even good. I never received my Cole slaw with my meal, and I was given chips instead of both of my sides of fries. So the only correct part of my meal was 4 pieces of chicken. Every time I come to this location, the service is terrible! Zaxbys is one of my favorite fast foods, so I keep trying to give it another chance, but this particular location is putting a bad name on it. If you don't wait 20-30 min, your food is cold & thrown together sloppy... it's one or the other or sometimes both. I came here for the last time tonight. I had 45 minutes before work to grab some food. I was waiting 15 minutes before realizing I would not get my food in time to eat before work. The 4 groups of people who had ordered before me hadn't even received their food yet. While I was getting my refund, the girl said her manager was one of the ones cooking. Smh. 1. The woman taking our order was difficult to understand because she spoke so fast and was pretty much mumbling. 2. Waited a little over 10 minutes in the drive-thru with a massive line behind us. 3. When we got our food it didn't look like enough so we asked the guy who handed it to us if it was the correct order and he said yes. As we moved out of the drive-thru my wife checked the food and it was completely wrong. Absolutely nothing we had ordered. So we went inside to get the correct food and the the lady who snatched our receipt from our hands did not say a word and seemed inconvenienced by us wanting the food we ordered. 4. The employees all had masks, but almost all of them either had their nose or nose AND mouth uncovered. 5. There were at least 14 employees there, but only about 4 (TOPS) was doing their job. One of them being the manager. 6. We had to wait another 5 minutes for our food. Definitely will not be going back. Strongly recommend getting your chicken somewhere else. read more

I absolutely love Zags! Their boneless chicken is incredible. However, they should change the "10 count" to the "8-10 count" because that's how many you should expect. Last time I was there I only got 8. Service is terrible they throw the ranch packet into the sauce instead of on the side causing a huge mess, and wait times are too long. But other than that, the chicken is very good. I will continue coming here. read more

My plan was to stop at the new Publix on Charlotte but since it would not be long before they closed, I opted to go to Zaxby's and head home. When I arrived, I was about the ninth car in the drive-thru line. I contemplated getting out of the line and going to the Sonic next door. Then I rationalized my stay with the fact that since they were so busy, the food would be hot. I believe I was in line a little more than 15 minutes. When I got to the speaker, I tried to order Fried White Cheddar Bites. I was told they were "not serving them at this time." I also tried to order a temporary "Peach" drink and was told at the window that they were out of that. I finally ordered the Zensation Fillet Sandwich meal. While driving home, I started eating the fries which were only warm, at best. This was also the case with the egg roll. So much for my rationalization for waiting that long in a drive-thru line. While the young lady at the window was nice, there was a lot of playing around in the background. read more

I'm writing this as I sit in the drive thru (because I've been here for over 10 minutes & still have 4 cars ahead of me in line) and listen to multiple cars behind me honk and yell at each other because the drive through line is currently blocking 5 parking spots, and therefore is blocking people from being able to back out of their parking spots. Whoever designed the exterior of this establishment should never be hired for another job. This is a train wreck. Worst Zaxby's I've ever had. Recently ordered a Cobb salad they gave it to me in one of the styrofoam containers used to serve the chicken meals and left out my sauces. I went in the store to ask for my sauce packets, one of the employees picked up two sauces from a tray that were covered in salad and sauce. She wiped it off and handed it to me as if that was a normal thing to do. The sauce was basically from someone's meal that they didn't use. Moral of the story is, the customer service is trash and it's clear that the managers district and store don't care. read more

As a restaurant business owner myself, I completely understand the struggles of running and operating a successful business. I am also very careful and cautious when leaving reviews as it can impact a business tremendously, something I've learned all too well with my own business. That being said, I've visited this Zaxby's location 3 times in the last month and each time has been a terrible customer service experience. I waited until after 3 experiences before leaving a review so I know 100% that it wasn't a fluke or someone's "bad day." No, this is something much much more. Each visit, the team members have attitudes with customers, are on their cell phones behind the counter, complaining about customers to other coworkers in front of us customers, work with absolutely no sense of urgency (causing long wait times), and are just overall rude. The tea is never restocked, the ketchup is always empty...and don't you dare ask them to be refilled. You'll get a hard "in a minute" and an eye roll. Once out of my 3 visits, the chicken wings were cold...not luke warm, but COLD. The toast every time I've gone is stale and taste kind of old. Look, I LOVE Zaxby's. I can't get enough of those crinkle fries but someone (the owner / manager...who I hope is reading this) needs to do something about the quality of the people working here. Up the hourly rate / pay and get yourself some quality employees! It will fix almost all of your problems, I promise. I've had to do the same with my business. Just please please fix this so I can frequent this Zaxby's again, as it's the closest to my apartment. I now have to drive further away to get my Zaxby's fix because I will not be going back to this one for a while...until they get their employees under control. It was around 7, so dinner time but still it was a long line and took forever. A lot of workers were chilling by the drive thru window on their phones. First thing, the soda machine was totally out, which happens occasionally but added to the experience. Second, they were out of honey mustard, which is rude. Third, one person in our party order half sweet half unsweetened tea, and they started to give us just sweet tea. Fourth, we waited a long time for ours meals, and they forgot one and when we asked to get what we ordered, one of the workers gave us attitude as if it was an inconvenience. She also mocked us when we were driving away through the drive thru window. Fifth, Zaxby sauce comes with each ZaxPack, and we only got one in all of our 4 orders THEN we had order electra sauces such as 2 ranch, buffalo, sweet and spicy and we were given 1 RANCH and 2 SWEET AND SPICY. so not a 10/10 experience. read more

do NOT come here. service is terrible. the lady next to us asked for a refund. her reasoning was service is terrible and employees are rude (which are true). i ordered the big zax snack and it was all correct but the toast was SUPER hard, like stale bread hard. my friend ordered a salad with buffalo style chicken with nuclear sauce. they give her blackened chicken instead of buffalo style TWICE! she had to go back up to the counter three times until they got it right. the third time she went up there, she had to explain to the employees the difference in buffalo style and blackened chicken. this is a chicken restaurant. the employees should know what kind of chicken they are serving. also, the chicken tastes really different from every other zaxby's i've been to, and i've been to a lot of zaxby's. very disappointing. they also forgot her zax sauce and had to go up to the counter to get it. they pretended like she didn't order it with her food. never coming here again. there's also a fly the size of TEXAS in here. the only thing good they have going for them is the decorations and atmosphere. i would highly recommend y'all to NEVER come here. update: we are done eating and she couldn't even finish the salad it was so gross. it was really dry and wet at the same time. nasty. read more
