This is the first time I have been to Zaxbys in years and years. On my way in the door Shay greeted us and was super friendly and helpful the whole visit. I had a grilled Caesar and my son had a chicken finger meal. The chicken is really good, the fries were a little "meh" and the salad was good. Overall the trip was good enough for me to come back. They do need to fix the leaking Coke machine but other than that it was a good lunch. read more

I so wish I could leave less than 1 star. This is by far the worst restaurant I've eaten at since moving back to WS 20 years ago. The service was absolutely horrible and the rest room was fitly and smelled as if someone had just finished smoking marijuana in it. There were plenty of employees behind the counter, however all but one seemed to teenagers and all of them had and didn't try to hide their hostile and rude attitude. I stood and watched as other customers entered and left the restaurant all of which pledging never to return and complaining about the service or the lack there of. The manager finally appeared from the back of the food prep area to witness three customers waiting to be serviced yet didn't bother to instruct any of the servers to man the registers. While on a road trip we decided to give these guys a try. We had never heard of them,but they seem to be very popular in the southern states ( we are from MN) In being a fast food joint we didn't have high expectations, but the food here was VERY tasty!! The wings were great and you can pick your own spice level. We felt like it was reasonably priced for fast food and you certainly get a fair amount of food. The service was just ok, the person taking out order kept cutting me off to socialize with other coworkers. Over all, when we are back in the south we will visit a location again. read more

We travel across the country and we always stop at zaxby's whenever there's one around. We always have an excellent experience at every location we visit, but not here. The cashier started off by getting our order wrong, i can deal with that, food is food, but then we started noticing several unhappy patrons. Other customers were complaining about their orders, some people who ordered from the drive through kept coming inside to complain. We waited 30 minutes. I went up to the cashier and asked if they were even cooking my order, to my surprise they still hadn't even began on it. Worst Zaxby's I've been in, the staff was wack and unprofessional. I was very disappointed with my dinner from Zaxby's yesterday. It's about three minutes away from the house and by the time I got home, both the chicken and fries didn't have any warmth to them at all. The fries were overcooked and the chicken was dry. I've had it from there before and it was delicious and I'm not sure why it was so horrible yesterday. Yesterday would get a one star but prior visits would've been a 4 to 5 star so I'm giving it a three. I hope they do better in the future. I will check the temperature of the food before I leave the window in the future. If I have to cook it when I get home, there's no point in getting it. read more

This has to be the worst Zaxby's on earth. The line for the drive-through wrapped all the way around the building and out onto the street because it was taking them so long per customer. I was in line a total of 35 minutes. When there was only one vehicle between me and the window, it LITERALLY took 10 minutes for them to complete their transaction with the folks in that vehicle. I had lunch at the Peters Creek store today. I ordered the grilled chicken sandwich. It tasted terrible. It tasted and smelled like it it just come out of the old refrigerator storage and then heated up in a microwave to be in lukewarm and then served on a bun. The people behind the counter are not knowledgeable about what comes with what meal. You actually have to look at the menu and then tell them that something belongs with the meal that you ordered. The coleslaw tasted old and smelled like it just come out of an old refrigerator even though it was sealed in a plastic container and a small pouch type bag. I have visited this location exactly three times. All three times, my simple orders have been incorrect and/or had items missing. This time, they were running a promo. Fine. I expected them to be busy. They were. The drive-thru wait was between 25 to 30 minutes. Fine. I'm patient. Got up to the speaker, said I placed a mobile order. Got to the window, picked up the order. Saw my name on the receipt, so knew that it was mine. Ordered two five-piece boneless wing meals, original flavor, with celery. The bag was stapled shut. Didn't think I had to check a simple order. I was wrong. Got home. One order was honey mustard, the other was a half-sauced general tso. No celery to be found. I despise honey mustard. I have given this location three chances. I am officially done. The food itself is okay. The attention to detail and accuracy? Severely lacking. Straight up this place gets ZERO STARS!!!!! I took a Door Dash delivery order for this place the other night. It was not too late and according to posted dine in hours I still had 1-1/2 hrs left till closing. I parked and tried to go in only to find the door was locked. There were tons of workers just standing behind the counter. My Dash customer had a special request of "flats only" for the hot wing order. I had no choice but to wait in the very long drive thru lane. 20 mins later I finally reached the order speaker. I said I have a Door Dash pickup and they told me to come into store. I said I would like to and if they could please unlock the door. Then they paused and finally said pull to window. I got to window and told them I have Door Dash pickup, but when asking the worker if they put all flats in the order she just turned her back and walked away. She gave me the order and I said the customer had a special request of all flats. I said are there all flats in this bag ? and she shrugged and said IDUNNO. I also told her it was rude of her to walk away when I was talking to her. Then one of her coworkers just closed the window on me. TOTAL LACK OF RESPECT AND COURTESY for customers. Normally I love Zaxby's. And so does my family. We have stopped by this location before and was disappointed with a similar service to tonight's. So tonight after months of not going here we decided we would stopped by this location to grab dinner. And boy oh boy was that a huge MISTAKE!! The fry cooks in the back looked like they had better things to do besides cook food. Once getting out cups the drink machine didn't have any type of diet drink available for my diabetic husband. This location is absolutely disgraceful and undeserving of the one star rating I'm proving; however, this is as low as the bar goes. I visited this location on March 14th around 6:20 pm. I waited in the drive-thru line for almost 15 min without ANY car moving whatsoever. I had the brilliant idea to go inside and see if it would be faster (big mistake) I wasn't greeted, I wasn't acknowledged, nor was anyone in this facility trying to help anyone. There was one guy up front practically drooling over himself over one customer that had walked into the store. No one was wearing a mask correctly, that is if they were wearing one at all. Kitchen staff had earbuds in, not wearing gloves, nor was anyone else at this location. I stood in a "line", if you can call it that, for maybe an additional 10 min. Every single one of the 3 order I witnessed getting handed out were incorrect. From missing entrees, to sides, to the entire order being wrong. No one was helped behind or in-front of me. I walked out of the building (still without getting greeted) and watched the drive-thru line had not moved an inch since I had entered the building. This is unacceptable and I will not be returning to this location. My food has been incorrect and made wrong it missing something every time I've went, mind you my orders are fairly simple with a single entree, side, and drink. Not to mention the fact no one at this place seems to care when something is incorrect or anything. I'm always told to pull around the building to a parking spot and I always wait an additional 7-10 min for an order that is still wrong. If this isn't evil, then I don't know what is. If I may? I have been to this location on Peter Creek 4 times in the past 10 days..Each time I have went there, the entire front counter people were extremely unprofessional. Each time the manager, I can't remember his name asked them to find something to do, crew became threatening towards the gentleman. Another manager had come up front and without question took up for the crew. At one time, the young girl with the red braids, said he doesn't know who he's talking to. And all the man said was for them to find something to clean. Shortly after, I hear a bunch of screaming going on from the 2 other gentlemen from the back arguing and threatening the guy (Manager). As a former Medic I knew this man was about to have a heart attack, or anxiety attack, and all I remember was the kids laughing when the man was having trouble breathing. Next, that's not all, as I'm waiting for my food, half the store is outside...20 mins later I get my food. I go outside and the 2 ladies, began laughing, and saying finally got his a**. Nobody deserves that. As a human being to another human being, please don't eat there. What I see with my eyes was hate and evil. My prayers to the manager. So far the best zaxbys I've visited since I've been in winston salem. The chicken tenders were hot and fresh. Juicy and tender. Not too dry and crunchy like I've been served in the past. The fries were edible & did not have too much of the seasoning salt on them. The Texas toast was a tad bit over buttered, but edible nonetheless. I ordered teriyaki boneless wings combo. The chicken was cold, and I asked for ranch and they said it'll be .25 for sauce. Not sure why ranch wouldn't be included. Waited at the counter for ten minutes, during which time three female employees walked by and looked at me while joking with each other and checking their cell phones. After other customers started to line up behind me, I asked if anyone was working the front counter and taking orders, one of the females walked over and said none of the registers were working. I responded by saying you should tell your customers that, instead of having us wait and not knowing, it's called customer service. She acted like she didn't care. I asked if I could speak to the manager, she said he was in the back. She told someone in the kitchen area, through the window that I asked to speak to the manager and I waited. During this time she was taking to the other staff about me asking for the manager and being sarcastic about it. About five minutes later, she walked up to one of the front counter registers and asked "do you still want to place your order?", I said yes and ordered a salad. Ten minutes later she brought my salad to the counter, no thank you come again, no sorry for the delay, not professional, poor customer service. I asked if the manager was going to speak to me, her response was "he's the only one cooking ". So I took that as a no. Their thinking is customers will come and order food, they don't care if the orders are right or even prepared properly, the customers being satisfied with the service provided is not trained, managed, or a priority and is reflected by the actions of the employees. The employees are there only for a paycheck and nothing more, the place is dirty and is the reflection of it's staff. The interesting thing about my request to speak to the manager... the "only person cooking ", that the employee identified as the manager kept looking at me during my twenty five minute wait. The location on Peters Creek Parkway has thee absolute WORST service! The pregnant girl was rude as hell! She was attitudinal and didn't want to give me the sauce that I paid for that goes with what I ordered. She told me that my sauce was in the bag and it wasn't. Then she told me I had to pay .25 cents for it. Then my fries were cold and the chicken was super dry. It's as if the food had been sitting under a heat lamp for 2 hours drying out and the employees were too lazy to make fresh food. Isn't that what they get paid for? That was a total waste of my $20. There are too many other restaurants in this area where I can spend my money and get great service as well as good, hot, delicious food and all with a smile. 3 times is a charm and this was the third and final time for me to solicit this place. And when I drove up to the drive thru window, all of the employees were leaning on the walls and counters talking and it took at least 2 minutes to come to the window to greet me. 2 minutes is a very long time for acknowledgement.
