This place is very casual but comfy. Ordered their lamb kifta sandwich. It was quite gamey but delicious. The fries are fenomenal. Service was super fast and the server very friendly.

We were seated right away. Service was friendly and quick. My gyro sandwich was good and plenty. The fries could have been cooked a little longer. We had refills of pita bread and water. The restaurant was not too loud so we could have a nice conversation. There's plenty of parking.

Oh. My. God. How am I just now stumbling into Zayna Mediterranean like it hasn't been a whole neighborhood secret this entire time? I swear, the locals really gatekept this one -- and honestly, I get it. This cozy, tucked-away gem was absolutely buzzing when I walked in, and now I know why. The falafel? Crispy perfection. The hummus? Silky, bright, and wildly addicting. Their lentil soup was this comforting, aromatic bowl of "where-have-you-been-all-my-life." And the fact that they not only have a large vegetarian lineup but can easily make dishes vegan? Bless them. Oh -- and VEGAN BAKLAVA . A rarity, but they pulled it off beautifully. I'm officially obsessed. Consider me converted... and mildly annoyed no one told me sooner.

My family visited Zayna in December and I forgot to take photos and leave my thoughts. So while I was out doing errands I decided to order some take out for lunch. The person seating guests took my order at the entrance area. The area is large, clean and very nicely decorated. I placed my order and it took about 15 minutes to receive my order. She also said I was ordering the lunch special so a drink was included. I ordered their green iced tea. It was delicious. I love their chicken shawarma. The spices are amazing and the chicken cooked perfectly. I ordered a salad instead of fries. The salad was so fresh and crisp! Loved it! Their hummus is so creamy and delightful. It came with some pita cut up. I enjoyed it with my cut up cucumber in my salad. I look forward to visiting Zayna again!

I really love the fried cauliflower with tahini at Zayna and the baba ganouch. It feels that they use fresh quality ingredientes in general. The falafel here was not my favorite in terms of spicing (bland for me) but I only tried it once here and I am a little picky about middle eastern food since it's something I often cook at home with my exact preferences in mind. I do like that they do the Syrian falafel with the hole in the middle :) The grape leaves are also a little on the dry side for me here. But that fried cauliflower with tahini sauce and fresh salad definitely make me smile! I wish they had outdoor tables for patio seating since they have the space outside. Service and atmosphere seems nice here though I mostly got my food to go here and sat outside. My general rating system: 1 star: I would stay away 2 stars: Has some good things about it but I generally don't recommend. 3 stars: Pretty good. I wouldn't go out of my way to go back but a decent place 4 stars: Great place. I would go back. 5 stars: I highly recommend stopping whatever you are doing and making plans to try it out! An Evie favorite!

Limited menu (basically a food truck menu), however, the food tastes good. This is a long standing Tucson restaurant and I have visited this for several years now (almost over a decade, when they were in the old location). I tried the Arabic coffee for this first time though. It was very well prepared and served. This place is spacious and has ample parking too. Casual place, good with kids, is a good lunch option. Also, they have polite servers.

Love this place for gyro with fries and falafel gyro with salad... washed down with mint iced tea! Great service, nice seating in various rooms so conversation is easy. Friendly staff.

Amazing food! Baba ghanouj & hummus are amazing. House salad dressing is so tasty. Lentil soup is delicious. Husband loved the lamb kifta. Falafel and grape leaves soooooo good. Cannot believe this is our first time here, are so excited to come back

Ok, it's been a hot minute since I've been here, I can't even remember the last time. To be honest I forget about it because it's not on my regular route of life. A friend told me that their falafel was really good it reminded me to go back. It is really good!!! There are only a couple of places I've found for good falafel and this is one. The place is dark and moody but not in a bad way, it's big so the parking lot can be deceiving, it looked packed but it was easy to get seated. Now I'm going to be coming back soon!!!

After searching around midtown for a mediterranean food place my boyfriend and I settled on Zayna. Neither of us has been here before but the reviews looked promising. And they were definitely not wrong. The outside looks smaller than the inside. Inside there's a ton of seating room in different parts of the restaurant. The atmosphere is definitely laid back, and they have traditional music playing in the background. The service is prompt and very friendly and they constantly come by to check on you. We shared a plate of Zayna Fries, and I got the gyro platter and my boyfriend got the chicken schwarma. We both loved our food. The portions are large so I ended up taking about half home with me for a second meal. If we're ever in the mood for Greek food again we will be back!

5 meals with tiny bag of pita bread.

The food is wonderful every time I have eaten at Zayna. I recently got a to-go order for five people and was so disappointed when I got home to see the measly amount of pita bread we were given. I guess shocked would be a better description. Again, the food was terrific and everyone enjoyed their orders but we did have to bring out some tortilla chips for the hummus.

Always great food and service. I wish they could update their interiors since my mother in law notice that is very outdated and too dark in there. But she loved the food!

By far the best middle-eastern restaurant in Tucson. I'm especially fond of their meat & vegetarian combos & also the zaatar pita.

One of those pop up menus is an Indian street food menu that is fully vegetarian and also egg free (Indian pure vegetarian.) My husband and I went a couple times, once in May 2025 and once in Feb 2026 and it was delicious and beautifully plated. My review for the food itself is 5 stars. During those two visits we tried: (May 2025) -Pani Puri: Fresh and delicious and I recommend ordering it spicy if you eat spicy. -Samosa Chaat : This was a 5 star dish for me! It was the best samosa I have ever had with the most delicious toppings and condiments. We asked for yogurt on the side, I'd totally get that again. My second favorite dish here! -Dabeli: This was a 5 star dish for me! It was a perfectly balanced work of art with the delicious filling and bun and the pomegranate and peanuts on top. Super fresh and so so delicious. I would absolutely return just for that- my favorite dish here!! (Feb, 2026) -Sev Puri: This was good. the fried potato on the cracker was fresh and I really liked the sauce mix on it with tamarind. It reminded me a little bit of the filling in Trinidadian doubles. We asked for yogurt on the side. -Pav Bhaaji: This was good but my least favorite dish here. I think probably just because of how amazing the others are though. This one also contains clarified butter which I don't typically eat. I liked it with the lime and raw onions added to the curry. -Vada Pav : This was my favorite from today's dishes! I loved the perfectly fried spicy green chili pepper in it. I wish I didn't eat that whole chilli pepper in one bite because I wanted more when it was gone. My husband experienced it the same way. He also noted how fluffy the potato was inside like mashed potato. This was perfect for sharing since there were two. This dish is native to Maharashtra. - Aloo tiki chaat : This was good. the fried potato patty reminded me a tad of a potato latke. Toppings were good and included mint. We asked for yogurt on the side Both times we sat on the patio and enjoyed a relaxed dinner. When we came in May they were very nice to check if we were happy with spice level or wanted more spice and talked to us about the food. They seemed passionate about it and It made for a really fun and interesting experience. When we came in February, we had less engagement with staff. A couple things I would like to note: 1. They add a service fee of 10% on bills without notifying the costumer. The first time I went, since they didn't notify me of that before I paid or gave me a detailed bill, I left a tip over that total amount that already included 10%. I do think it should be communicated to customers in advance. When I realized this and pointed it out to them they did refund it. The second time I remembered there was a fee but I noticed it was still not communicated to me a head of ordering. I don't appreciate that business practice of hidden fees and that is the reason I lowered to 4 stars. The food itself is 5 stars for me. 2. I would not recommend their pop ups for people with severe allergies. I was hoping and still hope they eventually transition the restaurant to Indian or add a regular Indian menu. Especially since there is only one restaurant in the Tucson area that serve south indian food (Spice Garden Indian Cuisine in Marana) . I have yet to try the mediterranean food here aside from a complimentary baklava in May which was not my favorite. Sounds like the two current owners bought the business sometimes around January 2025 and I am curious (and really hope ) to see the Indian dishes become a more regular part of the menu on a daily basis. I was so excited because every restaurant I've tried through his recommendations has been fantastic. We were invited to enjoy a complimentary buffet they were hosting, which was such an unexpected treat. The first thing we noticed was the beautiful outdoor patio--perfect if you want to enjoy your meal in the fresh air. Inside, the restaurant felt welcoming, and the staff immediately made us feel at home. The owner, Ray, was there greeting guests and genuinely seemed excited to have everyone visiting. Once we got the go-ahead to check out the buffet, our eyes lit up. Everything looked incredible! Since this was our first visit, we weren't sure what to expect, but the presentation alone had us excited to dig in. (Just a note: this buffet was for a special event, so I'm not sure if it's offered during normal business hours.) We started with a fresh Mediterranean salad tossed in a bright lemon dressing that was absolutely delicious--although I may be a little biased because I can never resist a great salad! We also tried the hummus and baba ghanoush with crispy fried pita chips. Both dips were smooth, creamy, and packed with flavor. Next came the beef, lamb, and chicken shawarma. Each one had perfectly crisp edges while staying incredibly juicy and flavorful inside. We paired them with the tahini sauce, which added the perfect fresh finish. My absolute favorite parts of the meal were the pickled vegetables and the falafel. I already love pickled foods, but these were exceptional--not overly vinegary, just perfectly balanced with a fresh, tangy crunch. The real star of the meal, though, was the falafel. Honestly, I'm usually not the biggest falafel fan, but Med Cuisine completely changed my mind. We dipped it in their incredible garlic sauce (I believe it's called toum), and it was the perfect combination. The falafel was crispy on the outside, soft and moist on the inside, and bursting with flavor. I completely understand why it disappeared so quickly--I only wish I'd gone back for seconds before it was gone! We had such a wonderful experience and can't wait to come back. Next time, we're definitely saving room for dessert. Do yourself a favor and stop by Med Cuisine. Support this wonderful local business, enjoy some incredible Mediterranean food, and if you're lucky, you'll get the chance to meet Ray, whose hospitality makes the experience even more memorable. P.S. Please don't judge my plate in the photos--I served it myself! I'm sure the staff would have plated it much more beautifully than I did.

I got my usual vegetarian mezza so I can try it all. Ambiance: okay, a bit outdated. We were the only customers. I was thrown off getting water in plastic cups- instead of a glass. Service- okay. Minimal contact. Food: the bread threw me off as it was served in a plastic bag. It was odd. The dolmas has no flavor except for the grape leaf. The rice appeared to be only white rice and no spices? The lettuce/small salad was not edible. Not dressed and old lettuce. I got 2 cucumber slices to eat two dips- not enough. And used to getting a more tomato. The falafel was okay. The bread tasted old. I'm used to good Lebanese food and this missed the mark. I'm surprised by the reviews. The hummus and baba ganoush was 3/5. My husband had a spicy Lebanese sandwich, he said it was good. And the fries were soggy and greasy. With so many levant places, I won't be going here again. I guess I prefer the Iraqi, Syrian, and Turkish places in Tucson.
