Vibey place to hang out in the mission and their outdoor patio is huge. Tons of benches and standing tables. I went on a warmer day so it was super crowded and loud. It gets pretty smoky outside since there's an open smoking area. The pizza was thick crust and decent. I liked the margarita pitcher too! It was super sweet and not strong. My review is solely about the food (two pizzas and a burger). Both pizzas were burnt (photo below). They also did not tell me that the pizza trays were burning hot when I went to pick them up, so that was fun to carry back to my table. Our order took 45 minutes- the order confirmation said to check in with the cook after 20 minutes. Instead of letting me wait for our order, the cook made me leave and come back around 3 times for our order. So great service too. Don't order food from here. It's terrible. read more

5 stars for their epic drag brunch that happens every second Sunday of the month. Stoked to check out their drag bingo. The vibe is laid back and punk rock moto so expect graffiti and a rugged atmosphere with that hardcore feel but with a plethora of drink options and a dope backyard patio. I had a disappointing experience with the bartender. I usually tip and have no problem. In this case, however, I didn't leave a tip on my first order because the service consisted of pouring a premade margarita from a tap into a pitcher. It took less than a minute, and I was planning to order more drinks throughout the evening and tip later. After I completed my payment, I politely asked if my transaction had gone through. Instead of simply answering, the bartender responded, "Yeah, after you hit the no tip," in a rude and condescending tone. From that moment on, his attitude toward me completely changed. He went from being friendly to cold and unwelcoming. What bothered me wasn't that he hoped for a tip, it was how unprofessional and rude he was. Tips are voluntary, and customers shouldn't be called out or made to feel embarrassed for their tipping decision. In all my years of going to bars and restaurants, I've never had a bartender comment on my tip or noticeably change the way they treated me because of it. His attitude completely changed the experience. Instead of ordering another round, I decided to leave and won't be returning. If friendly customer service depends on whether you tip before you've even finished your visit, that's disappointing. read more

They put up a tent in the back for the rainy winter, so they still give a great vibe outside during the cold season. brought my friends here last min to grab a pitcher, pizza and catchup. perfect location. I'm a big burger fan here but today we split a pizza and it filled us up, great to share between 2-3 people. Two pitchers of local norcal beer, ash trays on tables, great music. came last wed and jammed out to a live surf rock band. i always overhear their wrestling nights and really want to come out. i can't recommend zeitgeist enough... so much beer... great creative food... have you seen their merch line... Hell yeah, Zeitgeist! It's been here forever and may it continue to live on to serve the thirsty inhabitants of San Francisco. Zeitgeist is basically a large dive bar. What makes it stand out from others is the really large outdoor area full of benches and sunshine. It's a good place to bring larger groups to hang out with no notice because there really isn't anywhere else in SF that's going to handle that. There's food here but I've never tried it; you're close to the Mission so why waste your appetite here? Service is dive bar so don't come in here expecting that! read more

I have been to Zeitgeist many years ago and when I finally returned for a birthday recently I realized I have been here. Parking can be kind of tough on the street. They have both indoor and outdoor seating, tons of outdoor seating but it's the city so always remember to bring a coat if you get cold. They have a full bar, glasses, pitchers, and many sizes for beer, cider, etc. they also have a full bar. I heard their food is pretty good too. They have a QR code to scan and order from and I heard their burgers are good. The restrooms are outside in the back. Good time and lots of space to hang out with friends. Rock & roll dive bar in the mission! They have a full kitchen with real food. I got the Hawaiian burger with chips and it was very juicy. I like how they have their logo stamped on the bun. You can sit indoors or outdoors. They also have a pool table. It can get busy on the weekends which makes it hard to play pool cause it gets crowded. Water is self service. You order the food through the QR code and they'll text you when it's ready. Ambience is fun if you're feeling edgy! read more

Cool palce to hangout, especially outside. The only thing about being outside is that they have a smoking section, great for those who like to smoke, not so much for non-smokers. It's pretty loud when its crowded. The reason for 3 stars is that when I paid with a credit card, I planned on leaving a cash tip. So when I put no tip, the bartender mumbled angrily about the fact I didn't tip. Really? I had my cash in hand and walked away. This place is super chill and the beers on tap are good. read more

I have had two wonderful visits to this amazing bar in San Francisco. It has a punk rock feel, and an incredible list of beers on tap. It really is a perfect spot for me. They have delicious food selections from their onsite kitchen. You can enjoy to food and drinks in their spacious outdoor beer garden. On my first visit, I was able to enjoy a wonderful Anchor Steam on tap. Sadly, Anchor is no more. On this most recent visit, I enjoyed an Allagash White witbier. It was perfectly refreshing on a warm day in the city. The bartenders have always been friendly and knowledgeable, able to give great advice on beer selections. I have always found this to be a welcoming and fun visit. I'll always make a point of coming here on my visits to San Francisco. read more

So I go in around 3:30 pm on a Monday.. so not busy. I order a margarita and the bartender gives me a draft "hard iced tea" that I saw him pour from the draught in a salted rim glass. I thought.. weird so I tasted. Wtf? It was not at all like the margarita I ordered, paid for, and have been served the last 30 years. I told him that it didn't taste like a margarita and he said it was the exact same ingredients and it doesn't matter bc it's the same. I said I would just get a beer. He begrudgingly said he would make me a margarita if i really wanted one.... What part of ordering a margarita would lead a bartender to believe that I don't really want one???? Then I tasted that one and said it was better and he shrugs. This guy tried to charge me for a margarita by giving me a draft iced tea in a salted rim. Fun and classic SF dive bar that never changes. However the staff could make more of an effort to keep the bathrooms cleaner. Last time I was there the floor in the outdoor men's bathroom was legit a pool of urine. One stall was broken and the lights were not working. read more

Went to Zeitgeist for the first time since COVID. The burger is even better than I remember! And now they have mobile ordering (so you can pay with credit card instead of cash). And they've added new items, like fried brussel sprouts, which were good. My boyfriend didn't like his chicken wrap, he should get an Impossible Burger next time. read more

I pay cash - like a normal dude. Out the back. Motorhead is on the playola. It's a mega tech sausage fest with trim barbershop haircuts and name tags. "Hello! My name is ...... DANNY" Sit in the corner and try to conjure up bike messengers with radical rancid glued up mohawks smoking dope. Doesn't work. Finish beer. Bring the glass back to the bar and say thank you.
