HURRIED MEAL. We were seated at 7:30. Our 4 dinners came surprisingly quickly. My shrimp scampi had only 5 medium shrimp for $25!!! The annoying aspect of the meal was that a server asked if she could take my empty plate away (she started to reach across my husbands plate to pick mine up) but I told her not while he is still eating. He had food in his fork ready to eat! Then the waiter came and asked if we wanted anything else and I had to tell him that one at the table was still eating. She was actually still working her salad and still chewing when he asked this! It wasn't even 8:30, we hadn't been there even an hour and they were hurrying us out. For our first-time experience, it wasn't the most memorable. We went for the snow crabs and oysters, and they were out of snow crabs. They were not offering substitution items for meals that included snow crabs. They were also out of salmon. read more

We had a 7:45 pm reservation which was confirmed and checked in to the outside hostess stand at 7:30 pm and were told we would receive a text when our table was ready. Around 8:00 we still had not been seated so I asked for an update where the hostess said "Oh we're having a problem in our kitchen". I asked what the issue was because if we needed to find another restaurant we needed to know and she said she didn't know. 8:15 rolls around and we still had not been seated for our 7:45 pm reservation. We asked again for an update and a different hostess didn't know about any "kitchen issues" and said there were still 2 parties ahead of us waiting to be seated? 8:40 rolls around and we STILL had not been seated for a 7:45 pm reservation. I went to the host AGAIN and she said "Oh I don't have my iPad but you can go ask inside"... so that leaves me with 2 questions. Why are you an outside hostess if you're not going to help with seating? And what's the point of reservations? On a good note our Waiter Avery was excellent. Unfortunately the reservation issue and hostess issues prevent me from providing a good rating. Hope you all can improve from this review. read more

Nice to be able to reserve a seat online but the service was super bad. Our party ordered 3 appetizers and once they came out there were no utensils or plates. Food sat there until we could find some to bring us some which was not our waitress. Once our food came out the crab legs had no tools to crack the shells. The crab was hot but the potatoes and corn that comes with it was cold. Had to wait until the waitress finally came to get the tools but then had to wait even longer for drinks. We had a sweet and attentive server and the outside seating by the marina was beautiful. However for the very high prices, the portions were tiny- 3 scallops for $38, 5 shrimp in the shrimp scampi pasta. We also ordered the Waygu burger and they will only let you order Medium or Well- done. We chose Medium but it was almost raw. I used to love zekes but the environment isn't what it used to be before it closed from the hurricane years ago. It used to be a very fun lively place with good food, entertainment, and a fun atmosphere. Now, it has been modernized to be a semiformal dining place with okay food. The service was good but I don't like the revamp. Won't be going back there and disappointed that the new owners didn't even try to reincorporate the exciting place that zekes once was. read more

It's our second time to Zekes. The first was during the soft opening, so suffice it to say had a lot of growing pains. Went there tonight and it hasn't changed much. The food was good, pricey and very limited menu. Our server was a sweetheart. She was new and very accommodating. When we walked in it took the hostess several minutes to acknowledge us as she leaned against the counter as if she was tired. It was 5:30pm. The bar is a real disappointment. They have basically two vodkas and two gins, neither of which are high end. The ambiance is okay. Loud and hard to converse. read more

WE LOVE LOVE LOVE ZEKES! Every night on vacation I take my household to a precious new restaurant. We decided to try Zeke's. It's a very nice and fancy place. We walked in and felt greeted and workers were wonderous. We sat down at our table and ordered the bread service. I tell you that is the BEST cornbread I've ever had. It was light, fluffy, and precious. We also got crawfish gravy and it was exquisite. It was my first time trying it but let me tell you it was dearly amazing. When it came time to order drinks we got it super soon. I thought that was something to admire! Prices are super high but it is certainly quality food. Fries= preciously seasoned to perfection! Just wonderous! I got a wagyu burger and it was AWESOME. I was blasted by the creaminess of the fresh mozzarella! The pesto was wonderous! The tomatoes are oh so dearly amazing. The rest of the table got some form of fish. Just amazing environment and few for not ridiculous prices. So rare that you get such a wonderous experience. read more

We just love this place! Amazing oysters. The murder point ones from Alabama are yummy but all the ones they bring in from PEI are amazing!!! And if you haven't tried the cobia (sp?) your missing out plus it comes with their gravy. Sounds so heavy but surprisingly it's not and it is delicious! Make sure when you call for a reservation don't sit at the tree top tables. They are awkwardly high and it's hard to talk to all the people in your party because you're so far apart. read more

Service wasn't bad and no fault to Ellie who took care of us but the food was awful. Me and my husband both bartend at well established restaurants in orange beach and wanted to try Zekes for the first time but we will not be back nor will we be recommending it to any of our guests. We got the corn bread appetizer along with the crispy veggies. The veggies were good but the corn bread was dry with no flavor. My husband got the ribeye medium rare with the broccolini and the ribeye came out medium and the broccolini was basically raw. I got the shrimp scampi with blistered tomatoes....it was butter noodles with unseasoned shrimp and one single blistered tomato that clearly sat under the heat lamp too long while the steak was being over cooked. The price point was too high for food that was almost inedible. At least we can say we tried it to know it wasn't worth it. read more

10/10!!! Came here after being recommended by several people and it was conveniently just across the street from where we were staying. When we arrived and went to hostess stand we were informed the wait would be over and hour but were told the bar out back was full service and we could go there. They had bar seating, high top tables, and picnic tables available. You order at the bar but the full Zeke's food and cocktail menu is available out there! We chose to do this and it was truly a HIDDEN GEM! Definitely recommend doing this if you are a small party on a busy night! We snagged a great table in the shade right by the bar with a view of the bay. The service was extremely quick and great! We did opt for beers over cocktails after we noticed the bartenders were a bit light handed on the cocktails for the price of them. Our food was AMAZING. We ordered the salmon dip, shrimp boil, shrimp scampi, and the scallops and enjoyed every bite of each! Highly recommend Zeke's!
