Old Town Pizza had great pizzas and some of the best drink deals around. I was very sad to come across it today, only to find out that it's closed and cleared out. There a keep-out sign and no additional information posted about the location's future prospect. It's not surprising that it closed, because I didn't see much business there whenever I went there. The restaurant is located in old town Monrovia across from the library. There is parking on the street or in nearby lots. They have both indoor and outdoor seating. We tried the works pizza. Lots and lots of toppings. Very generous. I only wish the crust was thinner; otherwise it was delicious. The staff is super nice. Had trouble deciding what to order and they explained the size of their pizzas. Even offered water for us as we waited for our takeout order. Customer service is topnotch. read more

I failed to take pictures of my pizza but I definitely enjoyed it. The sauce is my favorite on pizza and this one delivered, it had a sweet and tangy flavor. We came in tonight and had a delicious medium pizza! We also were able to enjoy a beer called mango cart for $5 on the happy hour menu! The beer was cold and refreshing! Tried Old Town Pizza's zza for the first time not too long ago. I ordered a size XL combo pizza (pepperoni, sausage, mushrooms, onions and black olives) for $36. I believe it was 16" and definitely could get 4 people satiated. Ingredients were fresh, but I wasn't a fan of the crust. It was pretty plain and getting close to too dry. I ordered pickup and the guy who helped me was really friendly. Offered eatware, parm and peppers without me asking. The restaraunt itself is pretty nice too. They offer outdoor seating and are located in the heart of old town Monrovia. Inside is welly decorated with a large mural and a great view of their pizza oven. read more

This business has an old school pizza place vibe and it's more expensive than average pizza locations so I was expecting the pizza to be amazing. Unfortunately, it was nothing but disappointing. Paid $10 for 2 slices of pizza that weren't even large but average size. The slices barely had any tomato sauce, the pizza lacked flavor, and the crust was burnt. Pretty mediocre pizza that resembles 7-Eleven quality. I regret not using those $10 on an entire box of pepperoni pizza from the Costco food court instead. read more

I ordered a medium pizza with pepperoni and sausage on the entire pizza, and added additional pepperoni to each half of the pizza. What I got was a pizza with pepperoni on the entire pizza, sausage on half of the pizza and I'm guessing I received zero of the additional pepperoni that I ordered and paid for because there wasn't much on it. "Look how they massacred my pizza." Last night was our Godfather movie night. The fellas and I were ready to dig into our order of half Veggie, and half Pineapple & Sausage pizza. What we found is as horrifying as finding a horse's head on your bed- They gave us a VEGETARIAN pizza with Half Pineapple AND Half Sausage (and with the dough a tad undercooked for my taste) "What have I ever done to make you treat me so disrespectfully?" Pizza was almost $40 and I really wasn't wowed by it whatsoever. The crust was not great, however the toppings and cheese were really good. The inside of the place could use a good glow up also, and it's nice that they have outdoor patio seating. The gal at the register was kind and accommodating as well. They make a pizza with a diameter of 24 inches...that's two feet!!! It's called the Party Pizza and comes with 40 slices. We ordered it with half pepperoni and half bacon bits. Sometimes if a food dish is too big, it might not be good (as if the flavors get lost.). But for the Party Pizza, it was very delicious. The amount of cheese and sauce was perfect. And both the bacon bits and pepperoni toppings tasted great even though I enjoyed the bacon bits topping more than the pepperoni. Even the crust was pretty good. So this rate has nothing to do with the quality of the pizza, and everything to do with the service. This is the second time I have been there. Both times on a Saturday night. And I could see why the place is not that busy. The girl that took my order acts like she does not even wanna work there. I get it. It's tough times. Everybody is very opinionated or rude, customers are abrupt and pushy. However this is your job, just be polite and respectful. The first time I went in, I placed my order and it took over 25 mins to get 2 slices of pizza and they were not busy. The second time I called it in, and the girl that took the order was the same girl who worked there last time, she was not happy, very rude and I had to repeat the order to her several times. I love to support small businesses, but I will have to pass on this one. If you want to go there for the pizza, great, just don't go for the customer service. read more

Gosh, I remember over 20 years ago when Old Town Pizza opened up in Monrovia. We used to eat here a lot back in the days,, Just over a month ago, I took my girl here and I and we ordered the Pepperoni Pizza with everything on it. I like the garden salad and potatoes wedges we had with our pizza. Everything is good here. We sat outside, and enjoyed the view of downtown, eating and people watching. First off, this place used to be amazing. Recently food has gone downhill. The pasta is still pretty good but it's slightly different and the serving size is smaller. Tonight's real problem was the salad. The Spinach salad is described as coming with carmelized pecans, tomatoes, bacon bits and onions-- sounds kinda gourmet right? The actual salad has chopped pecans from a store (not carmelized or glazed at all), uncooked bacon bits from a store, definitely not cooked and chopped in house, literally 2 cherry tomatoes and a sprinkle of red onions. The spinach was fresh but this was still Very disappointing. I threw the salad away because I don't even feel comfortable eating bacon that uncooked-- it's pink, raw and soggy. I will be calling tomorrow to speak with the new management about the false advertisement and sketchy salad. Hopefully this place can get back to being better. read more
