I have eaten here twice and both times it was amazing! The food is fresh and flavorful. Love the Gobi Manchurian (delicious cauliflower bites). We also had the curry chicken and chicken chow main - both were excellent. Our server, Darci, was friendly and helpful with suggestions. Food was great but service was poor. The girl at the front desk did a great job. She was very friendly and helpful, making sure we were seated fast and even gave us recommendations on dishes. Our server however, brought down our experience quite a bit. He did not revisit our table many times and when he did he would incessantly ask and pressure us to write a review. This gave my table the impression that he was more focused on pushing us into writing a good review rather than providing us with good service. He briefly mentioned that us writing a review would get him a promotion however I couldn't tell if that was sarcasm or not. He also interrupted my table's conversation on more than one occasion to again, pressure us to write a positive review. Overall the food was great and the ambiance of the restaurant was very nice. The food did come out late but that could be due to it being busy when we went. I would come back for the food but the service we received would definitely weigh on that decision. read more

We are Vegan, and have been looking for a nice Indian restaurant with tasty vegan options. We finally found one, in Zen Curry and Grill. Every item, from the Samosas, Vegie Momos, Tofu Saag Curry, Bhindi Masala, Naan, and even donut dessert were well flavored, and presented beautifully! Our server was Issam, and he was fantastic! He made sure everything was vegan, offered suggestions, including the best local beer to go with our food, and made sure we had everything we needed throughout our whole meal! This is a terrific find, for vegans and non-vegans, and we can't wait to bring the rest of our family, and friends back to try more tasty food! Zen is definitely a delicious addition to Temecula. Food was great, liked the twist of veggies in kadai chicken (different), paneer tikka was outstanding as an appetizer. They weren't stingy with their meat in chicken biryani, it was loaded (they missed packing my raita though ). My only suggestion would be to make naan a bit more thinner and not so doughy. Tried this place for the lunch buffet $24 a bit pricey and I have to say it was not good at all, very nice decor but the food was mediocre. There were not many choices in the buffet , the Chicken masala was not good, the gravy was too thin and the chicken cut too small , the naan bread was not at all light and fluffy as it should be just a bit tough like pitta bread . Believe me I know good curry houses in London and this does not even compare If you want halfway decent Indian food just go to the Mantra instead as this place is not recommended by me. read more

This restaurant looks like a hole in the wall from outside but when you walk in it's a very big hole with a bar and great ambiance! went there for dinner and Radeep (hope spelled it right) was our server. He was courteous and fun. We had a fantastic experience. Service was excellent, food was great, and prices are very reasonable. we had the mixed grilled platter and loved every bite. Surprised that naan did not come with the curry like so many other places around town. The curry was ok, edible. i would eat it again however since I get naan and even a small dessert with my orders elswhere I probably would not be returning her. Dined here on Thursday night with my girlfriend and our friend. Restaurant is nicely decorated and was a little over half full. Hari the owner took care of us, very sweet and professional guy. We had coconut curry mild, butter chicken mild, and pumpkin lamb curry hot. All were good, but the butter chicken was definitely the standout. Hari even brought me a side of the extra spicy curry, it definitely has some heat! Basket of nann was plentiful and the perfect accompaniment. We will definitely return soon. I decided to try Zen curry based on the reviews on yelp. At the suggestion of many of the previous diners, I tried the garlic chicken wings. They were good, but I wasn't WOWED by them. My husband had the masala, french fries, and he was underwhelmed. For my main dish, I had the lamb curry. It was amazing! The meat was very tender, well-seasoned, and just the right spice level. My husband had the shrimp tiki masala, and it was also very tasty! The garlic naan was amazing, not too hard, and too soft, with just the right amount of garlic. The service was a little slow, but the waitress was extremely nice. I think she may have been new. Overall, we enjoyed our experience and will definitely be back to try more dishes. read more
