First of all shout out to Zen curry. I've been going to the original China town location since forever. To have an express location on the south west of town is major. It's easy to say it's a nostalgic memorable restaurant for me and many others. The ambiance of this Zen curry was very underrated. It's giving Japan vibes and I'm not even in Japan. I can appreciate the cool Japanese decor so culturally sound with the food being served. The food here was very delicious, simple, and flavorful. We ordered the OG chicken katsu curry medium with a side of corn and veggies, curry udon noodles with pork, and Karage with a side of rice. The og katsu was delicious rice pairing with the medium curry speaks numbers especially with the sides goes hand in hand a must try. Not to mention they give out side of raisins, sliced thin almonds, katsu sauce, and some type of crushed peppers this was definitely a game changer. The udon noodles were also great if you like spicy curry with udon noodles this is for you. The experience was on point because you can basically build your own dish and add toppings which was also major. The karage was for the kids and they loved it paired it with a side of rice so good! The service was amazing very helpful and staff made us feel comfortable eating here will definitely come back and indulge in some curry again for sure!

My first time here. Didn't know what to expect just wanted to eat something with shrimp. Lady at the counter was super nice. I order shrimp katsu curry, it comes with white rice, thre big shrimp similar to shrimp tempura and curry. Curry was super spicy, eventho I order spiciness level 3, can't imagine how spicy it is number 10. There was a lot of curry sauce it could literally be used for other dish. I couldn't finish my meal. It comes with a side of something red that reminds me on picke ginger (sushi style ginger). It is clean and nice inside no one was inside people just come to pick up food.

This is a fast casual restaurant where you order at the counter and then sit down. They bring the food to you, but you do clean up after yourself. The staff was friendly and we ordered two different chicken curries to try. My favorite was the karaage chicken as it was more juicy and flavorful. The traditional Katsu curry with a little dry. Portion size is good and we did have leftovers for the next day.

I love this place. Reminds me of Curry House in Hawaii. Curry, rice and oysters, my fave. 7 on spice level... yum. Good customer service and clean restaurant. 5 Stars.

My solid go to spot for fast Japanese curry. Staff here is always friendly and the food always comes out hot and fast. The inside has a moderate amount of seating and they keep it clean. It is a bit weird, however, having to go to refill my own water from the water machine so often since the provided water cups are pretty small.

Awesome spot for a quick and delicious bite. Price/portions/service all great

If you're a fan of curry, you definitely have to check this place out. I love that they had so many different protein options for the curry. I got the calamari and it was fantastic! My husband got the Japanese meatloaf and that one was also delicious. The meatloaf was super tender and tasty. Be aware of their spice levels! They're a little spicier than average. I got a 3 and it was perfect for me but anything more would have been too much (for what I can handle!) The service was good and the girl who helped us was very friendly.

I found Zen Curry on Yelp when I was missing my favorite Japanese Curry shop back home. I decided to go solo to treat myself to a chicken katsu plate and takoyaki. The restaurant itself feels mom and pop, nothing too fancy about it. Understandably, as it's an express restaurant and people are constantly ordering takeout. I decided to dine in for a full experience and ended up not being the only one in the restaurant. This a place where you serve yourself water from the water dispenser and put your plates away in a tray at the end of your meal. The only thing I didn't enjoy about my experience is the music get blasted here and the employees get loud. Again, understandable since most orders are takeout. I ended up putting my AirPods in and listening to a podcast. More importantly, the food here is pretty good. The curry plate was presented plain and simple. Curry to the side, with the katsu on top of rice. It was a big portion, but I came hungry and finished the whole thing. The takoyaki was made perfectly. The flavors, textures, and presentation were satisfying. I scarfed everything down. Next time I order from here, I'd prefer to takeout. I hope that doesn't compromise freshness or quality of food!

I ate a pork Katsu curry with brown rice. I felt the owners devotion and love to all humanity. Food is love ! I recommend you this great Japanese curry.

DELICIOUS and very authentic tasting. I added cheese and corn to my curry plate. I also ordered a side of fried gyoza and naan bread. I love how on the menu they tell you all the spices that go into their curry I thought that was really cool. The staff is always very nice when we go, and one of the waiters recommended some of the new tasty drinks they have and I'm so glad he did because they were awesome! The prices are extremely reasonable, I was surprised at how low the bill was for 2 people with sides and drinks.

Always consistently great and affordable food. This is their take-out location so the interior decor isn't as fancy as the Spring Mountain location, but the service is still friendly and fast. Will keep coming back!

I try to avoid dairy at times, so I'm curious if the curry contains any dairy?

Yes, there is some dairy in the curry. Thanks, Akira

Is the curry vegetarian or does it contain animal stock or flavoring?

The Curry sauce itself does not contain animal stock or flavoring. Vegetarian can eat it. You can order vegetable curry or spinach curry.

Katsu Ya Ton Ton is excellent. I made plans to meet a friend for lunch and wanted to try this place. Easy access from Durango just North of Warm Springs on the West side of the street. Ample parking, but the place itself (you can see from the photos) isn't large and they don't take reservations. We aimed to be there for 12:30P lunch figuring we'd just be the lunch crowd. I arrived a little early and they were already full up! The place is popular and with good reason. I added our part of 2 to the list and we waited maybe 10 minutes. So cute and authentic inside. Tables turned over fairly quickly. The staff is super friendly and efficient. They were there to guide and help us with menu choices and offer recommendations. I went with the pork katsu set that included soup, rice, piles of shredded cabbage, my main pork cutlet, and some pickles. The cabbage and soup is AYCE which was a nice offering though I didn't need it. I also got salmon poke with yuzu which was tart and so fresh. Recommended. My lunch date order Katsu Chicken Curry. The food is outstanding. Every bite elicited a "Mmm" from me as the soup broth was deep and savory. The pork was perfectly cooked, crispy outside, juicy and tender on the inside. I love the shredded cabbage. Their Katsu sauce is delicious and you get to grind your own sesame seeds which impart a crazy delicious, nutty texture. The Katsu Chicken Curry was also excellent. I would struggle next time to pick one over the other. There are plenty of places to find Katsu but none compare to Katsu Ya Ton Ton for perfecting this really tasty dish. Highly recommended!

We went during weekday lunch and there were around 4 other tables with diners. We got the premium AYCE since we wanted to try the special items. Service was attentive and proactive. Our orders came within minutes of placing the order. The salmon, tuna and other fish were fresh though the uni was a bit slimier (probably since it's still out of season). Having ordered most of the special dishes, I can say that their AYCE provides very good value for the ingredients and dishes included. Their selection and variety of dishes is also hard to beat. However, the sushi rice was really poor quality - undercooked which made it tougher to chew, was long grain (not Japanese short-grained rice used for sushi) and did not have the stickiness nor sourness of proper vinegared rice. The Japanese word "sushi" translates literally to sour rice referring to the vinegared rice which is the foundation of the nigiri sushi. Because of how critical the rice is to sushi and rolls, I can only give Daisho 3 stars at most until they learn how to cook sushi rice. We provided the feedback to the restaurant staff so we truly hope they take the feedback seriously and improve it. It's not that hard to cook Japanese sushi rice. Worst case, the restaurant should invest in a Zojirushi rice cooker that will cook it perfectly every time.

You can get sandwiches, rice plates with, tonkatsu and chicken katsu and sukiyaki. Miso soup and salads and much more. But if you want sweet they have soft serve, parfaits and frappes to satisfy your sweet tooth! My friend and I came here for breakfast and I wanted something not too heavy so I went with a Hojicha float with vanilla soft serve and their shrimp avocado sando. I usually just get the Hojicha parfait with mochi but it was kinda too early for that. My friend ordered a matcha latte with the sukiyaki don with soup. My Hojicha float was loaded with vanilla soft serve and the regular size was pretty big. The soft serve was smooth and creamy and paired well with the Hojicha latte. Couldn't go wrong with that, but I felt guilty for having something sweet like that in the morning lol. The shrimp sandwich wasn't that good for the price they were charging. It was almost $10. The avocado spread didn't taste fresh and was browning and the shrimp was mainly on top of sandwich. I should've ordered a more savory bowl instead bc damn! That sandwich was disappointing. My friend enjoyed her order of the matcha latte with the sukiyaki don. She had mentioned it's her go-to order, since she's a LV local. I wish I had more time in Vegas to order a parfait here but we had so many other places to hit on my short visit. This shop is pretty big and spacious, a good place to study and hang out with friends. Plenty of seating and they have a restroom in the back. We went on a Monday so it wasn't busy at all. Ordered took a bit to come out tho. Overall, love nana's! Extra brownie points here because they serve food, but think before getting their shrimp sandwich. They know how to whip up some good matcha and Hojicha lattes and soft serves! Service was decent here, and prices are reasonable. The prices have been pretty consistent with all the other nana shops I've been to. Check them out if you love Hojicha and matcha!
