What time do you ACTUALLY open? Because it clearly isn't the time you advertise. My party of five arrived at 11:50 a.m. on Saturday, July 11 and waited outside the double glass entrance doors before your posted opening time. Once it was after 12:00 p.m., we repeatedly tried to open the door. It stayed locked. Here's the part that deserves this one-star review: The employees were standing behind the front counter and could clearly see us. Not one person walked over. Not one person unlocked the door. Not one person acknowledged that five customers were standing outside. No wave. No "We'll be right with you." No explanation. Just eye contact... and complete indifference. We stood there until 12:07 p.m. before finally leaving. Before writing this review, I looked through other Yelp reviews. What stood out was how many people complained about the exact same things: inconsistent and poor timing, and customer service that comes across as if customers are an inconvenience. After experiencing it firsthand, I understand exactly WHY those reviews exist. This review isn't about waiting seven extra minutes. If someone had simply walked over and said, "We're running a little behind, we'll have the doors open in a few minutes," we probably would've stayed. Instead, the employees chose to ignore us entirely. That decision cost this restaurant a table of five before we ever got the chance to order. And before anyone says this didn't happen--I have the entire interaction on video, complete with timestamps from the moment we arrived until we drove away. The footage shows the locked door after noon, us repeatedly trying to get in, and employees inside while no one acknowledged us. If your posted opening time is noon, then open at noon. If you're going to open later, update your hours. But pretending customers standing outside your front door don't exist is one of the worst first impressions a restaurant can make. So I like this place because I think their food is actually pretty good, and the cooks (sushi chefs) are pretty good. But the worst part of this place is the customer service when it comes to the waiters. They are so slow and monotone that they don't even greet you when you come in. We have been here a few times and the sushi is not bad but every time the service sucks with the waiters. They are so slow that I feel like they don't even want to be at work. Just left this place and had the worst service I have ever experienced. We ordered 4 rolls, 2 orders of gyoza and a chicken teriyaki plate. We received the 4 rolls about 20 minutes after we ordered. By 35 minutes we asked a total of 3 employees if they can check on the rest of our food since everyone had ate already except for my step son. At 50 minutes we asked to cancel the rest of the order. We received no apology at all. To add to it, the owner walked up to us at the beginning and said "you guys doing ok" and didn't let us answer just walked away because he was too busy seating his friends. There was a nice ambiance, the food was relatively quick (considering party size), and the food was reasonably priced. The service was decent as well. I ordered the GP Roll and the yellowtail sushi which were both good. The GP roll offered a bit less of a fusion taste than you get from other options, but it was good. The yellowtail Sushi was actually very good, light, and flavorful. I also tried the crazy roll and the aguachile roll since we were in a big party. The Agua chile roll was fantastic! Tasted exactly like I was eating agua chiles. The crazy roll offered a bit more of a sweet flavor and from my perspective tasted like plantains. Not sure if I'd return to Zenor Sushi in Granada Hills. All the sushi we sampled was decent but nothing to write home about. Prices are pretty steep but thats to be expected for just about any sushi spot these days. I also was not fond of the very loud music they were playing when I went in, it was hard to converse with my friends. However, my friend did tell me that they don't always play such loud music so maybe that was a one time thing. There's a large menu with many latin/asian fusion food offerings, which can be fun if thats your sort of thing. The servers were very nice and friendly which is always appreciative. read more

This place is very similar to other Mexican fusion sushi but in my option is better. Their sushi's always fresh and tasty! My favorite roll is the Zangrona roll. It's very different as it is no rice, all fish and veggie based. Very yummy! There's also a variety of delicious cocktails, beer and sake to choose from. I love their micheladas as well. Very refreshing. There's lots of parking here as well as it is located in a shopping center. Very continent. I would definitely recommend if you're a sushi lover. read more

First time I went to this place after the pandemic was nice and clean, good food. 4 years later or so, place smells like they do not clean it with real cleaning supplies, just water and soap, it was not pleasant. The drink menu had some interesting names that made me chuckle. This place definitely has a sense of humor. The food was delicious. Fair warning, the hand rolls are big. I ordered two, along with crispy rice and sashimi and I couldn't finish them. I got a to-go box for the second roll and promptly left it at the restaurant. I was talking to a young man and I even EXPLAINED to him it's sliced Shrimp on top of rice....on the website it just says shrimp....he said it was shrimp tempura and I just let him think he knew what he was talking about. Zenor Sushi is a solid spot, and I genuinely enjoyed my experience there. The food was good, the drinks were great, and their weekly deals are definitely a plus. I stopped by today around 1 PM, and it was fairly quiet, which made for a pleasant dining experience. The service was excellent--attentive and friendly. That being said, I do think the 4% fee for non-cash payments is unfair. Most well-known establishments absorb this cost, and for a sushi spot trying to build its reputation, passing this fee onto customers isn't the best move. It makes guests reconsider tipping, which ultimately affects the hardworking servers who truly deserve it. After reading several reviews, it seems the management could benefit from a stronger focus on customer service. Many new businesses these days forget that a great experience is what keeps people coming back. I'm not saying this place is bad--far from it. In fact, I used to frequent this location back when it was Gaten Sushi, and I'm happy to see it remain a sushi spot. But if you truly want to grow, do right by your customers and strive to be better. One other thing that stood out in a negative way: There was a customer sitting near the bathrooms openly vaping. I'm not sure if this is allowed, but it definitely should be addressed. If management checks the footage from 1:20 PM to 2:00 PM, it should be easy to spot. Unless dry ice is being used in the drinks, I can't see this being anything other than smoke, which isn't great for the dining atmosphere.
