Came for lunch today & I absolutely loved that it was not packed. Kinda had the restaurant to our selves. We had the platter where we could order 4 rolls and comes with ceviche and chips for 65.99$. We ordered the ram roll, agua chile roll, and 2 other rolls that I can't remember the names of but they were soooo delicious. I love the crispy onion with the yuzu sauce. I had a very disappointing experience from the moment we were seated, the service was poor. After we were seated, we placed our order and immediately asked for water, a piña colada without the cherry, and a michelada. We waited, but our drinks never arrived. Instead, our edamame and sushi were brought to the table first. I asked for water again when our appetizer arrived, then again when our food was served, and even asked three different servers throughout our meal. Despite repeatedly asking, we still had to wait for something as basic as water. When the drinks finally arrived, my piña colada still had the cherry on it, even though I had specifically requested that it not be included. To make matters worse, our food was served without any sharing plates. Our server asked if we wanted wasabi and ginger, and we said yes, but neither was brought with our food. We had to ask multiple times for sharing plates, and when they finally brought just one plate for the entire table, they simply placed the wasabi and ginger on that same plate. We were never given proper sharing plates, making it inconvenient to enjoy our meal. Throughout the entire dinner, we constantly had to flag someone down just to get basic items that should have been provided from the beginning. It felt like we were an inconvenience rather than valued customers. When we finished eating, we asked for our check, but it never came. After waiting for quite some time with no one returning to our table, we finally got up and walked to the register ourselves to pay. We could have easily walked out without paying because no one was paying attention, but we're honest people, so we got up and made sure to pay our bill. When we got to the register, they simply told us the total amount due. I had to ask for a printed receipt so I could verify that everything we were being charged for matched what we had actually ordered. That's when I noticed the Non-Cash Adjustment fee. To top it all off, we were charged a Non-Cash Adjustment fee that was never disclosed on the menu, by our server, or anywhere else before we paid. We only discovered the charge after I requested a printed receipt to review the bill. When I asked the manager, Jasmine, to remove the fee, she told me she didn't have access to do so. She also told me that several other customers have requested to have this fee removed. I then asked if there was someone above her I could speak with, and she told me that only the owner was above her. I asked if she could contact the owner so the issue could be addressed, but she told me the owner would not come down to speak with us. At no point did I see her attempt to call or contact the owner before telling us that. That left me feeling as though my concerns were dismissed without even being presented. If several customers have already raised the same concern, then this is clearly something the owner should address. Every customer should be informed of any non-cash adjustment before placing an order or deciding how they want to pay not discover it only after reviewing their receipt. The most disappointing part is that none of these issues were major on their own. They were all basic aspects of good customer service that, if handled properly, would have made for a pleasant dining experience. Instead, we spent the entire meal asking for drinks, water, sharing plates, wasabi, ginger, and even our check. Between the poor service, having to repeatedly ask for basic necessities, waiting for our bill, having to request a printed receipt just to review the charges, the undisclosed Non-Cash Adjustment fee, and how our concerns were handled by management, this was one of the worst dining experiences I've had. I hope management takes this feedback seriously because these are all issues that could have been easily prevented. Unfortunately, I will not be returning, and I cannot recommend this restaurant based on my experience. read more

Second time being here. Sushi is okay, we got the deal with four rolls and ceviche. Ceviche was not good to me, my husband ate it lol Rolls were okay, not sure if maybe I didn't know what to order. Staff seems like they don't communicate much. We had an item missing and told one staff, they never came back, but someone else asked if everything was okay so we let them know and went of to like 3 staff member. This place was so good! We did go with a large party so we did have to wait a minute but I believe otherwise it would've been fast service. Ordered the Tiger Roll and it was so yummy, also ordered the Udon Noodles, they were good but it was sooo oily. Would come again to get some more sushi!!! read more

Bad service :( I'm so sad . My son was excited for his Friday night sushi . I didn't realize his order had cream cheese in it so I re ordered for him but his order was never sent . While waiting no one came to check on us . I had to stop a busser to please call a server for us . We finally got his food after 30 minutes:( I wanted another mojito but never saw our server again. I honestly always come here. It's one of my top 3 sushi places in the San Fernando valley. The food is always good. Never had a complaint. The fish is fresh. The menu offers so many different options for whatever ur in the mood for. Drinks are also pretty good. Some of there shots are kinda questionable when it comes to taste. Most of there cocktails are pretty decently made. I usually order the michelada or just get a bottle of soju. I love the setup in there. The vibes are pretty chill. Especially when they have a DJ. Definitely the place to be before a night out. They have indoor n outdoor seating. Super big and spacious but every time I go it's rather empty and I think it's the service. I've been coming here so often but the only one complaint I have is the service. The waiters are super kind n are trying their best. But I'm constantly having to remind them of what I ordered or they have forget to put it in. And honestly, I don't think it's their fault. Every time I'm there I only see 1/2 ppl working when there's multiple full tables. U can see the waiters struggling to keep up with all the orders n guest. And most of these waiters look like young kids running the restaurant. Hiring maybe 2 more waiters/host wouldn't hurt at all. Although the service needs help I'll probably end up going back... So in all the food is good the place has so much potential. Just need a couple more helping hands and it would be a 5 star review. :) read more

I recommend this restaurant if you haven't had a bowel movement in a few days. It will clean you out. The sushi reminds me of the sushi Costco sells. The service is okay but they do lag severely. I would recommend you go elsewhere. The fish has that warm fishy taste, you know the one where you're chewing and you wonder damn am I gonna get sick from this. We wanted to give this place another try, the last time we were here the rolls were small. They have other locations. The San Fernando is our preferred location, Its a little further but all around there service as well as there portions are better. We waited over 40min for our rolls. The service is still bad, no one comes by to check to see if you need a refill. They were too busy talking to each other. It is what it is. The location was not very busy. Made us feel very uncomfortable started cleaning like at 845. We were barely getting our food. Really bad service I felt really uncomfortable made us feel like we had to leave when you guys were barely not even gonna close. SERVICE This place is severely understaffed. So everything is going to be slow. Because of the understaffing issue, I do not fall the stuff for the speed of things. They are clearly doing their best. For example, Mateo held several roles... Host, waiter, busser, and bartender. Mateo was a true professional and did not ever seem exasperated about having so many roles, and handled everything with a smile. service is also SLOOOOOOW from a kitchen. We visited on a Saturday during lunch hour. There was only a table of four in the dining area, and three people at the cantina/bar. And both sets of people were already eating. We ordered four things. They serve the dishes as they are ready, so I ended up finishing my bento box before my husband got his final roll. FOOD My husband decided to take one for the team, and tried a variety of rolls (again, roll with it) a hand roll, Temp ura roll (ding dong) , and a baked roll (beef) I got the bento box. The ding dong roll was swimming in sauce, so even if the fish was a really good quality, you would never know it because you were working through all of the mayonnaise and other things they slathered on top of it. The beef was so overcooked that the meat was dry and tough to chew. Also, the beef flavor with the seaweed wrapper was just not hitting. The hand roll was huge! The bento box was a good amount of food. And was the closest representation of a traditional Japanese sushi offering (tuna roll, crunch roll) OTHER POSITIVES I appreciated the offering of a kids meal. There's also free parking behind the building. EYEBROW RAISE No prices listed on the menus. Not a fan of that. We left paying $75 for 3 rolls and a bento box ~~~ Overall, this venue is meant to accommodate large crowds and is mindful of families. A friend suggested this spot as it was close to his house and we wanted to watch the Laker game as it was on last Wednesday. There is a lot of parking in the rear of the building. Razo is a pretty open and big place. Plenty of TVs on every wall and a bar in the center. So perfect place to check out a game, grab a drink and get sushi. The food. Well this has a lot of mexican influence when it comes to the flavor profiles. The sushi itself is not top quality but it is fresh. Not a single piece of nigiri smelled fishy. Rolls are averaging $17 per while some are in the $22 range. Agua Chile roll - Lots of sauce onions and jalapeno. Delicious. White Tuna / Ono / Escolar Nigiri - Very good. The sauce that comes with it is a chili oil one and compliments the fish well. Albacore nigiri - Sauced heavy with a mayo onion topping. Kind of overwhelming here. Good. Different. Lakers Roll - Lots of sauce here on this one. Flavors got lost in this one. It was good but honestly I couldnt really taste the sushi itself due to the sauce overload. Crispy Rice - I felt like this roll could have had more bites to it. This was pretty good tasting though. Albacore delight roll - Fresh and delicious. Exceptional. Our server was friendly and attentive as was everyone else we came in contact with. I felt like the portion size could be a little more and the saucing could be a little less. We had dinner at Razo today 3 adults and 3 kids. Each of us left with happy bellies and smiles on our faces. Our server was had just the right balance of checking in on us and giving us space to chit chat. The manager Alex came around and ensured we had a pleasant experience. We sat in the patio and he offered to turn on the heaters for us, we felt comfortable with the warm air and scene outside. We took advantage of the sushi platter offer and tried a variety... the Diabla roll was my absolute favorite! The kids menu items had generous portions and my girls devoured their plates. Well, we decided to go to Razo to watch the World Cup. We did make a reservation and had requested a table while reserving it. They tried placing us in a booth under the televisions, we asked them to move us to the correct type of table which they did after having to have a discussion about it. Then our added party who also called to make a reservation was told that the reservation was cancelled because they overbooked and would have to wait until the game started to see. So unprofessional. That's not all. We put in an initial order for a few things and never came. We had at least 3 servers take our orders and one did not know what the other put in . The menus had NO prices and when asked they would give me answers " about this much " . Food took so long or wrong . In getting the bill there was a 60 dollar SERVICE charge plus a 17 dollar charge for not paying cash. We erronously paid a tip 167 dollars additional on horrible service. I do not blame the servers. They were very young and not trained to take on a crowd. Cancelled reservations Bad Service- No set waiter confused on what was put in no communication No prices and could not give me one for any . Hidden fees Long waits for food - ONE BEING ICE CREAM- OVER AN HOUR BECAUSE THE TWO TIMES IT WAS PUT IN , IT WASN'T. I used to go often an never these fees. I feel it was done on purpose since it was so busy and large groups. I am okay with paying more tip when it is a larger group but not in this way. 10 customers lost. We paid 167 over the bill .
