Zero Otto Nove is a good spot for Italian, especially if you have a big group! We were seated upstairs in a quiet little nook of the restaurant. The servers were a bit overbearing - I didn't particularly like how they served every dish to us, especially because I didn't get to take my Yelp photo of the dish before! haha ... the waitress also came over to ask how the food was before I had even taken a bite. She also stood by our table for the majority of the meal, and with only another table there in that little upstairs nook it was a bit awkward. She was a bit too much, but maybe that is their thing there (to serve each dish). The Radiatori in Cartoccio ($30 - Radiatori pasta cooked in tinfoil with porcini mushrooms, cherry tomatoes, breadcrumbs & shaved parmigiana Reggiano) was pretty delicious - the Veal ($48) you could either have it as parmigiana, breaded & pan fried with tomato sauce & mozzarella -or- Grilled with broccoli rabe & sweet cherry peppers. We chose the grilled as it was healthier and it was pretty good, but a bit too salty. Overall a good Italian restaurant - minus the pushy servers.

We came here one night after checking Yelp for reviews and we had a very nice dinner. The service was attentive and good by Giulio, the table we had by the window gave us a good view of folks walking (and less noise than was going on elsewhere in the restaurant ). We had the chicken parmigiano and chicken capreses - one irritating thing. I asked why no pasta with it so Guilio said he'd make sure I had some. Yes, to the tune of $14, which he did not tell me. The food was tasty and fairly big portions. Espresso was very good.

Lively Italian restaurant in Chelsea located near everything. Service was amazing. Our waitress was on top of it and so friendly. They had tons of specials. Cocktails were great! We started with the eggplant & zucchini parmesan which was delicious. I had the risotto special which was disappointing and bland.

I was in the area and hungry, so I stopped in here randomly without checking reviews or google. We all need to do that more often! This is an Italian place. They have several selections of pizza (Margherita, caprese, Napoletana, and more). They also have a large antipasti section (grilled octopus, sautéed short ribs, burrata, a fave bean dish, roasted peppers, eggplant and zucchini and more). Typical salads (lots of arugula and goat cheese). A secondi course as well (dug, short ribs, chicken, steak, salmon, veal, pork chops). I went straight to the pasta section because I was craving carbs. I was torn between three dishes, including the rigatoni salernitana (meatballs, sopressata, ricotta, mozzarella, sliced egg, tomato sauce), the cacio e Pepe dish, and the radiatori in cartoccio. The cartoccio is their signature dish, therefore my server recommended it on my first time dining with them. A radiatori pasta made in tinfoil with porcini mushrooms, cherry tomatoes, breadcrumbs, and parmigiana, it was decadent, cheesy, and flavorful. I don't regret my choice, as I may never have the chance to have this again in another restaurant, but next time I definitely want that savory, sumptuous sounding rigatoni! Service was over the top. Freddie was my main server, and checked on me multiple times. He made me great drinks (I just had him surprise me each time with whatever he wanted to concoct). Multiple other servers, all handsome, magnetic, and gregarious, all checked on me. All of them called me Bella and wanted to make sure everything was to my liking. The prices here are extremely reasonable, especially given it's in midtown Manhattan/flatiron district. The food comes in huge portions, the service is amazing. This Bella would not hesitate to stop by here again.

The wife and I definitely need to come back to Zero Otto Nove, only her and I. Brought the kids here and their friends for some pizza. I think we need a date night without them. Definitely not just pizza. The pizza was great. Can't complain about it. It was just not the pizza that we expected for New York City pizza with the kids. I guess it wasn't what I expected for a NYC pizza! Service was outstanding, everyone was very nice.

Unexpectedly fell upon this place on a Tuesday after work one day and walked in. We had a really good experience and the server was nice and attentive. The inside is pretty big and I'd imagine a good place if you have a larger party. The chicken parm with vodka was good (it's just the chicken so need to order a separate pasta which I thought was a bit odd). The Bucatini Cacio e Pepe con Carciofi was solid. Weirdly enough I think it would be better with a protein instead of artichokes. The Salumi e Formaggi is good for a larger group. Overall it was good - just missing "something" and in NYC there is no shortage of really good Italian so in good faith can't give more than an average 3.

Great italian resturant in the lower Manhattan with a very cool Tuscan cave vibe. Had a delicious chesse and truffle ravioli dish for dinner and split a brick oven pie was equally as good. Service was super friendly and they were very accommodating with kids. Highly recommend if your in the area.

I'm surprised that I never wrote a review for this restaurant until now, as this is not my first visit. First of all, if you like wine, this is the place for you. The wine list contains lots of great Italian wine selections, many of the bottles with a nice age on them and even then without breaking the bank. We had a beautiful 2001 brunello with our dinner and it was priced very reasonably considering the age and pedigree. And then the food, of course. Quintessential Italian. Fresh bread was served with the most delicious olive oil. We ordered Margarita Pizza to share, and it was just excellent. Grilled octopus was one of the very best I ever had. And Fava beans appetizer was delightful as well. I had ravioli special as my main course and almost licked the plate afterwards. Prompt, friendly, attentive service. Highly recommended.

My partner and I have been to the Bronx location before and we were delighted that the Manhattan location is just as good. The pasta was cooked perfectly and the menu has some unique regional dishes that you won't find in most Italian restaurants.

Amazing food, extremely kind staff, warm, inviting setting. Yummy margaritas, not too sweet. Sort of looks and feels like you're in a cave, inside the restaurant. Very cool. Emailed them to make a reservation as didn't see availability on opentable and they were able to fit us in without issue. Wish I got more photos of the food and drinks but it was a really good experience. A bit warm inside and the chairs weren't super comfortable but otherwise, a really nice evening!

    Radiatori con Brasato ($29+)

3.5 / 5.0 - We came to Zero Otto for dinner with a friend who was visiting from out of town. The food was delicious, but the service was a disappointment. For appetizer, we shared the Barbabietole e Burrata ($21+) which is burrata with sliced red and yellow beets & arugula in a light balsamic drizzle. It was a delightful light appetizer and the burrata was delicious. For main, each of us ordered a different pasta dish. I chose the Radiatori con Brasato ($29+), which is radiatori pasta with short ribs, sun dried pepper, cherry tomatoes & a touch of tomato sauce topped with arugula and shaved parmigiana. The radiatori was a heavier pasta than I'd expected and quite filling. I loved the short ribs and the combination of arugula and parmesan cheese. We had no problems with our server and I did leave a 20% tip. However, there was another server who was speeding around and kept on bumping into my chair every time she walked by. Once could have been an accident, but it happened repeatedly and she never apologized once. It made for a very unpleasant dining experience. They need to create more space in between tables or be more careful when passing through tables. Although the food was great, I would not recommend dining here unless you have a corner table or table by the wall without servers passing behind you.

No they were very rude to me about it too. I asked for the fish in the foil (it's always on the menu) and I knew it wouldn't be a problem. Apparently I was wrong. The wait staff was all young people and not the regular wait staff that had been there… Read more

The arancini was a standout: perfectly crisp on the outside, creamy inside, and served with a rich, delicious sauce that tied it all together. Everyone was genuinely kind and helpful--especially notable for New York--and it made the whole evening feel relaxed and welcoming. A small heads-up: it's a bit tricky to find, so give yourself extra time. That said, the hidden, underground subway setting is part of the charm and makes the whole experience feel unique. It is located right in the hallway of a subway entrance, next to a bar and across from a coffee shop, and it somehow manages to feel like a cozy, sit-down restaurant right in the middle of NYC. Don't let the odd location fool you, the food here is outstanding. The Neapolitan and Sicilian-style pizzas are both exceptional, with rich, well-balanced flavors and perfectly executed crusts. Every bite tastes high quality. Also, don't skip the house-made lemonade! The experience is even better because of the incredibly friendly and attentive staff. They were all so kind to so many people. From offering to keep leftovers in the fridge until a customer was done at their broadway show, to offering a scone to a young child while he and his father waited for their pizza to be done, it was more than just flipping a table and onto the next tip, it was humanity at its best. Be sure to give See No Evil Pizza a try. You certainly will want to come back again for more.

The first thing you notice is the main bar wall, with its exposed centuries-old brick that has survived every bit of chaos this city could throw at it. It's subtly backlit from with a warm, amber glow that highlights every single historic groove and imperfection, making the whole room look like it's breathing. I have to say the centerpiece of the entire narrow room is the bar itself, and let me tell you, it is an absolute stunner of a contrast. Instead of the usual dark, sticky tavern wood, they've dropped in a long, continuous slab of pristine, elegantly smooth white stone. It glows under the soft lighting like a block of polished marble. There are no strobe lights and no obnoxious, skull-rattling bass in this joint. Instead, the room is wrapped in a blanket of incredibly chill music that matches the pulse of the room perfectly. It's just loud enough to drown out the noise in your own head, but quiet enough that you don't have to scream over the smooth white counter to be heard. People aren't here to be seen on TikTok; they're here to disappear for an hour or three. You slide into a chair, order a proper Old Fashioned from a bartender who doesn't rush the pour, and watch the ice melt against the amber-lit brick. It's the ultimate underground exhale--a perfect, narrow slice of peace in a city that never shuts up. Cheers!
