I had an early morning appointment and I know traffic is crazy in the morning around Mayo Clinic. The hubby and I arrived early because we knew that Zest would offer us a delicious breakfast. I couldn't have any of their amazing coffee because of my test, but I did get to smell my husband's at least. I had crispy bacon, crunchy hash browns, and a generous portion of scrambled eggs. It was more than I'm used to eating this early in the morning, but I ate to my stomach's content. The staff is pleasant, professional, and efficient. I love the overhead music mix! I really want to take some of these amazing pastries home, but maybe I will save them for the next visit to enjoy with a yummy hot coffee!!

Can you see the crème brûlée filling?

Service with a smile and ran like a well oiled machine. I don't know whose mama makes these grits but wow! So thick, creamy and yummy! They do need salt and pepper but don't need butter. This is my second time eating here and everything is so wonderful to the taste buds. Today I bought grits a la cart with bacon as well. There are 4 pieces in an order and costs $1 a piece. They are thick and meaty. Tried a smoothie for the first time. I got the zesty green one with kale. It is available with an upcharge of 1.50 to add a scoop of Orgain protein powder. Chocolate or vanilla are your options. It's impressive what options they have available for a sophisticated palate. Tuna poke bowls, Tuscan chicken pasta and more. These are the stake home meals as well after to a long day so you don't have to cook when you get home. Excited to try their homemade sourdough bread. They have plenty of gluten free baked items and local chocolate from Windy Hill chocolates. They sell Fuji water, Tuscans, Dasani; Pelligrino and La croix water

Loved the concept, loved that I didn't have to eat expensively but it wasn't what I thought it would be. The place is nice and bright with plenty of grab-n-go items, as well as custom-made sandwiches and flatbreads. They even have a shelf where you can borrow books to read. I was going to grab a salad or and sammy but I decided that I should try their Special. The Special which was broccoli & rice casserole, braised cabbage, and chicken wings sounded good and I figured that it's something that's going to be phenomenal. It fell short for me. While the chicken was ok, it was the sides that were not. The cabbage had an aged oily, cast-iron taste to it and the rice was not full cooked in the casserole. The also do custom lattes, coffees, and tea. I got the Latte of the Month, the Sugar Petal Latte (hibiscus and vanilla). It was bomb! I really enjoyed that drink. I didn't see it until after I placed my order but you can customize your milk options. We'll do that next time. If I come back again I'd try a customized item and definitely get another latte.

Margarita flatbread. It's huge and it's delicious.

A great little place to grab a quick bite if you're at Mayo Clinic for any reason. This is a Medure Brothers Grab N Go cafe! Everything they make here is tasty and fresh. You will not be disappointed! One of my favorite things to get there is margarita pizza. You may eat inside in the small dining area, take it out into the beautiful lobby that's adjacent, or take you food outside and sit by the beautiful fountains on a beautiful day! Dining al fresco is one of my favorite things when I'm at the hospital. They have some beautiful areas to relax in. Next time you're at Mayo Clinic, go check it out ! If you want something quick, light, a drink, or a moment to refresh, this is your place!

Salad and soup came out ASAP, before I could ask for cheese he was gone.... Returned far too long later and I told him to cancel the rest of the meal....he said no I am sure it's coming out now..... only to disappear again and what felt like forever to bring the rest of the food. What should have been a quick and good meal ended up being far too long and not even mediocre. The ladies room was nasty and out of paper, when telling a staff member they seemed rather disinterested. Overall the staff was unsmiling, and disinterested. Maybe we will try again next year but not anytime soon.

Upon entering, we noticed it wasn't busy at all (mind you, this was late, Saturday afternoon) and looked to be freshly remodeled within the past several years. The heavy, 2000s Tuscan aesthetic will be missed. We were promptly sat to a place of our choosing by a friendly host. Once sat, we were greeted by our server who was also very friendly and attentive. We ordered a couple cocktails which were VERY fairly priced (you rarely see that anymore) and went ahead with our orders of endless soup, salad, and breadsticks. Name me a better deal in any restaurant chain, I'll wait. Once we were finished with our meals, to go boxes were offered with entirely new portions. After this visit, I wondered to myself: why did we ever stop eating at Olive Garden? This location was beyond satisfactory and most importantly, looked to be well kept and clean. If you're looking to get your Olive Garden fix, this location is a great option and located right off of the highway. - Lou Sassle

Let me tell you about the Tawook Sandwich, this thing is something special. The garlic spread they use combined with perfectly seasoned chicken, pickles, and just the right amount of crispy french fry tucked inside makes it one of the best things I have ever eaten. I'm not exaggerating. It's the kind of bite that stops you mid-conversation because you just need a moment to appreciate it. The shish kabob platter was equally incredible, the steak was impossibly tender and packed with deep, rich flavor. The hummus and pita rounded everything out beautifully, simple but executed with real care. What sets Cedar and Olive apart is that you can genuinely taste the passion behind every single dish. This isn't food that was just prepared, it was crafted with intention and creativity. If you're in Jacksonville, please do yourself a favor and go here. Don't think about it, just go. You will not regret it.

Cedar and Olive was a bit of a disappointment for me. The restaurant itself is very nice, with a clean, modern setup and an inviting atmosphere. I ordered the shish tawook and fattoush. Both tasted good, so the issue wasn't necessarily the quality of the food. It was the portions, pricing, and overall experience. For me, it felt like the gentrified version of Mediterranean food. Everything looked polished and was presented nicely, but some of the generosity and authenticity I associate with a great Mediterranean restaurant seemed to be missing. Mediterranean food is usually the type of meal where you leave full and satisfied. Here, I left wondering where the rest of my plate was. The shish tawook and fattoush were good, but for the price, the meal simply wasn't fulfilling enough. Customer Service was good, not stood out either good or bad. Nice restaurant, good food, and attractive presentation. But if I'm craving an authentic Mediterranean experience with generous portions and strong value, this probably wouldn't be my first choice.

We were seated promptly and the service was quick. Food wise, they have basic options for the kids (pizza, burger, grilled cheese, chicken tenders) which works for my family. We ordered the chicken tenders and burger for our kids and they ate 90% of their entrees. I ordered the pork belly slider appetizer as my entree and added a side salad. Both were very good- the sliders were just the right size. Only change for me would be a little less sauce on the sliders. The salad was big for a side salad and had fresh ingredients. My husband ordered the French dip sandwich and seemed to enjoy his as well. Overall, we like this tavern because it's close to home and easy with the kids. The food is good and the draft beers are ice cold. The vibe is nice for a local tavern- has the claw machines on the family side and pool, darts, golden tee, etc. on the bar side
