***please read all*** I had a great experience at this restaurant. I'm visiting from out of town and was really in the mood for some good food and a nice drink. To start off, the first time I visited this place, I had the truffle fries and they were AMAZING! I paired it with a Mexican mule and the bartender I believe her name was Olivia was very very kind. The drink was out in a very timely manner and before ordering, I asked what a recommended drink was. She recommended both the Mexican Mule and the Strawberry Basil cooler, but I chose the Mexican mule. Food came out just as quick and the quality of the food really sold my experience there. The overall feel and atmosphere of the restaurant was nice, cozy and pleasant. Highly recommend to anyone visiting or in the area. *** NEGATIVE PART OF THE RESTAURANT*** My only complaint about this place is that there were gnats just flying around and that honestly made my experience here kind of a bit worse. It was a rainy Sunday...a perfect day for some warm and comforting ramen. I enjoyed the Pork Ramen and a Spicy Tuna Roll. The service from start to finish was superb, the food was delicious, and the inside ambiance is very welcoming. All around a great experience to enjoy some good food with great friends. All of our food was tasty. Calamari fresh, light and crispy. They didn't have the sauce that usually goes with the crab wontons so that was a bummer. The tuna on the tower was delicious. The server was overall pleasant. Heater was out in the restaurant m and it was a pretty chilly day, so it was somewhat uncomfortable dining in. But that's not the norm. I also had the grapefruit rose cocktail. That's the one thing I wouldn't recommend. Was not mixed very well. Tasted like just a glass of vodka. read more

This place is amazing! The food is delicious. Went here for lunch with my team, we ordered a variety of sushi rolls, coconut curry chicken, miso soup, brown rice, chicken lettuce wraps, salmon ramen, the seafood salad, and it all was perfect. I cannot wait to go back this week and eat like crazy. So good. Highly recommend. I have added this to my list of places to take visitors from out of state for lunch. It's really good. No. It was so watery and flavorless. It is definitely frozen and tasted like it came out of a bag. Also didn't have any lobster flavor and the meat seemed more like "crab". - mussels. No again. Came in a very watery lemon sauce. Like a soup and half of the mussels were no longer in their shells. There was a strong citrus flavor. I love mussels and this was just ok but I'd never order them again. Mains: - fish tacos. My sister had these and sent them back. They looked sad and were tasteless. Just a little piece of fried fish, a few pieces of lettuce and some kind of creamy sauce - ribeye sandwich. The steak was tough and sliced incorrectly so it was hard to tear with my teeth. It was over cooked and the bread was a little hard. The onion strings on the sandwich was good and the horseradish sauce gave a good kick. I've never had a well executed ribeye sandwich though. Lots of potential but it fell short. Drinks/cocktails : - grapefruit rose. This was really good. All the flavors I love in one drink. I can't complain. - peach. My sister said this was mediocre. I didn't try it. Dessert : I skipped this because I wasn't impressed with the food. S E R V I C E Service was good. Our waitress was very nice and attentive. A M B I E N C E It seemed like a dive bar on the inside. Old and wooden and sad. Almost everyone chose to sit outside. The seating outside is extremely cramped and crowded. They definitely put as many tables as possible in the area. Restrooms were clean though. P R I C E About 65$ for 2 apps, main and a drink. Add a tip. Parking is 5$ across the street. Zest was a most a delightful venue for our Mother's Day date/ brunch Finding a nearby parking was the the only and biggest hassle of the afternoon (normally one can easily at the paid parking lot across the street that doesn't get filled up). Our server Adam was friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. We ordered and shared 6 small savory plates, two desserts and washed them down with a warm sake and a cucumber martini. I loved everything we had ordered today, but the chargrilled oysters, seafood ramen and my brûléed flan might have been the top picks of the menu. I would rate Zest as my third fave restaurant in Historic Roswell after Little Alley Steakhouse and Osteria Mattone. read more

I had high hopes for this place. It seems promising due to location and how busy it was when we walked in. I kept overhearing "We aren't usually this busy but the wait will be X amount of time".. we were told 30 minutes for 2 people but waited 45. The food is highly overpriced and overrated. I was disappointed. The great thing about them is the service. We were greeted immediately and were given a pager with a wait time. Once we finally sat down, our server was excellent ! Happy, attentive, drinks stayed refilled when low, and she made sure all her tables were good. When we left, we were thanked and told to come back. We got the zest roll, a ginger salad, one shot of alcohol, Chilean sea bass and crab stuffed shrimp. Our total came out to $88 before tax and tip. The sushi roll was too cold and underwhelming. Ginger salad was good and portion size was nice!! The Chilean sea bass was the most disappointing as it was a thin cut of fish plus it was way over cooked, hard, and tasteless. It was served on a bed of corn and rice mix. The crab stuffed shrimp comes with 3 pieces and some noodles covered with lemon garlic sauce. It tasted good but a little on the salty side, plus only 3 shrimp was unappealing as it was an "entree/plate" so I felt like they could have given a few more shrimp or more noodles. Since it's located downtown, parking is hard to find for free but valet is right across the street at $5. read more

The menu had a lot of options, i was initially set on sushi but seeing the tacos had me second guessing. In the end i decided, why not both? & ordered a shrimp tempura roll & braised short rib tacos. My tacos came out first, I was expecting street tacos so seeing this huge portion was a pleasant surprise (i actually took some meat out for the picture) underneath of the meat is a super tasty asian inspired coleslaw. im huge fan of a fresh crunch so the cabbage, carrot & cucumber in contrast to the beef was perfect. i have to be honest & say the presentation was a little off putting being that the slaw was underneath & the meat was so chunky- based off the look i was a little concerned with if i would like it. i think chopping the meat a little more & garnishing with the slaw would be more in line with what one expects from a place like this. (plating however doesn't make a difference in my score) The sushi was beautiful & tasted even better. I ordered the ginger salad and the firecracker roll and my mother ordered the green coconut curry. The ginger salad was lacking in flavor but not horrible. The firecracker roll was delicious but didn't have the heat I was expecting. The green curry was amazing overall. My main complaint was the noise. We went on a Friday night so it was busy as to be expected but it was so overwhelmingly loud it was giving me a headache and hindered the entire experience. Me and my mom sat right across from each other and basically had to yell to communicate. Would love if there were noise canceling textiles of some sort. read more

This is a great spot for sushi if you're in the downtown Roswell area. My co-worker Chelsea S. and I stopped by to splurge for lunch and had a fantastic time. Our server was a bit distracted and was slow on things but I won't harp on that because our meal was fantastic. Their bagel rolls are exactly how they should be made and I will continue to order that specific roll there because it was the perfect amount of cream cheese, salmon and avocado. YUM. We ordered the spinach and artichoke dip as an app. and it did not disappoint. The toasted pita bread pieces were a great addition to the dip and it was absolutely the perfect appetizer while we wait on our entrees. The steak bento box was better than I expected. I wasn't able to finish it during our visit because we were running out of time and was stuffed from the previous items mentioned above. We had an above and beyond experience! My friend and I came for lunch with her baby and not only was the food fantastic and the drinks were extremely well crafted; but we unfortunately made a mess and spilled food (because of the baby) and they were so very sweet, quick and helpful to clean up and were so kind to us about it. We had some food we didn't love and they quickly replaced it. Frankly, I was so blown away at our service that I will be sure to be back. Megumi was an incredible server. I really wanted to give Zest a try. My partner and I are on Canton St often and my partner and we craving some sushi and cocktails. It was a mid-day Saturday afternoon and we could visibly see the staff inside huddled up staring at us while we waited to be seated. Finally, someone brought us to a table, where we got to see two or three tables get taken care of before we did. We sat patiently for at least 15 minutes without even getting water until we had to walk out after making eye contact with sever employees. We couldn't help to feel like we were discriminated against. I certainly do not recommend this place after such an experience. All we wanted to was get some good food and have a good time. read more

The kiddos and I had a sushi craving. Very disappointed as this did not satisfy it. Plus it is very pricey for the amount that they give you. I am a sushi connoisseur, so I will give you my honest opinion. First off, the Sashimi Deluxe is more like Sashimi Basic. It's not worth $28. The tuna was frozen. Not fresh. The rolls- Roswell and Allison- were not that great either. I am not much of a roll person and more of a sashimi person, so to say the Alison roll was better than all of it, is very disappointing. We ordered sushi rice on the side for $4. And the container was not even full. It was so skimpy! There's was no 5 stars in quality or quantity. Both lacked. Ordered the veggie ramen and the Alyssa sushi role and the word for every bite was "exceptional!!" S is for subpar decor- the interior as well as patio furniture and cutlery were nothing to gawk over, but nothing to complain about either!!! Aesthetic is simple, nothing instagrammble!
