We celebrated our 10th wedding anniversary last night at Eddie V's. It was my first time dining here and it certainly won't be the last! As we pulled in front of the restaurant, I was very impressed by the modern exterior - very nice! Parking is a breeze - you can valet or self-park in the back of the restaurant. We had reservations but arrived a little early and had to wait about 5-10 minutes to be seated - not a huge deal for a busy Saturday night. Once we got to our table, we had an amazing experience. The table was sprinkled with rose petals and a card wishing us a Happy Anniversary. Our server, Tony, came promptly to take our order and noted our food allergies and restrictions. Our first course was the seafood tower, which I was able to customize with more shrimp since I'm allergic to oysters. Second, we had the lobster bisque and the burrata & beet salad. Both were divine! For the main course, I had the scallops while my husband had the filet medallions Oscar style, which comes with asparagus. We also ordered two additional sides for sharing - the crab fried rice and truffle mac. You honestly can't go wrong with either dish! We loved our meal but my husband wasn't crazy about the steak. Yet the cuisine, the ambiance, and the service "lived up to the mark," five stars and above, for dining at Eddie V's. I went to Eddie V's for happy hour based on a friend's glowing recommendation. They absolutely love it here, but unfortunately, it just didn't hit the mark for me. As for the food, it was hit-or-miss. My husband ordered the steak sliders from happy hour menu, but they were disappointing--it was just a small, thick cut of steak placed on a bun, rather than being thinly sliced, and it completely lacked any sauce. I also tried the beet salad from the regular menu, which was truly delicious, but it felt incredibly expensive for what it was. The drink options were a bit of a letdown. The happy hour cocktails seemed to be made with pretty low-end vodka, which threw the flavor profile way off. Because of that, we ended up ordering additional drinks from the regular menu instead--which defeated the whole purpose of going for happy hour. On the positive side, our server was absolutely on point and did a fantastic job, even though she was serving the entire bar by herself. The atmosphere was also lovely--the live band provided great background noise without being overpowering, so the overall vibe definitely worked. The service here was top-notch! Second to that was the food and drinks. I came here to meet up with a close girlfriend of mine. The ambience was nice with live music being played at the bar and the dining room being a lively scene. The staff was so accommodating. I asked for the lobster roll special, which is usually only served in the bar, but they accommodated my request. It took a while for my friend's crabcake order to come out, so the staff made up for this by giving her a complimentary glass of wine. My drink came out with a single hair on it, which my friend noticed, and when it was brought to our server's attention, she promptly took it away to be remade. Eddie V's is an absolute gem when it comes to dining, service, and atmosphere. We're Scottsdale natives, so we usually visit the EV's at the Scottsdale Quarter. However, during a recent trip to Atlanta, we heard about an EV's location in Alpharetta, GA. Intrigued, we decided to give it a try. The decor and design at the Alpharetta EV's were simply breathtaking. A towering glass chandelier adorned the ceiling, and the artwork was captivating, drawing you in. To top it off, an incredible band played 80s and 90s pop music, creating a relaxing and enjoyable ambiance. I opted for the crab cake with a casserole salad, a classic combination that never disappoints. My husband chose the shrimp with crab meat, which was equally delicious. Despite being a relatively new establishment, the Alpharetta EV's operated efficiently and smoothly. It was evident that they had put in a lot of effort to create a welcoming and enjoyable dining experience. I highly recommend the Alpharetta EV's to anyone visiting Alpharetta, GA. Let's get into Eddie V's Prime Seafood... I came in with HIGH expectations, okay? Because I've experienced Eddie V's Prime Seafood in Detroit many times and it has always been top tier. So when Alpharetta opened, I was ready. Let's start with what they got right. The ambiance is absolutely beautiful. It's giving upscale, classy, a little loud but still grown and sexy. You can tell it's meant to feel expensive. And I do love a good valet moment right at the front... makes the night start off smooth. Now... this birthday dinner situation. We had a reservation for 9 and somehow ended up split into separate booths across what felt like multiple sections. For a birthday? That's just not it. Especially when I'm looking around seeing other parties our size seated together with no issue. There was even additional seating that was never offered to us. The service felt just as scattered as the seating. Our server was kind but clearly overwhelmed. Because we were split up, everything came out disorganized... and I mean full chaos. Entrées before salads, appetizers hitting at different times, and one person never received their appetizer at all. That's not the experience you expect here. Now let's talk food... because this is where I really had to pause. I ordered my steak medium. It came out rare. Okay, mistakes happen... but when it came back, it was extra well done. And I'm sorry, at a steakhouse? That's just unacceptable. That should be the one thing you get right every time. Now I will absolutely give credit where it's due. The wedge salad? Delicious. Fresh, crisp, and that blue cheese dressing with the crumbles... divine. The lobster tail was also really good, no complaints there. The Brussels sprouts, though, were undercooked and just didn't land. Overall, the flavors just didn't hit the way I know this brand can. It lacked that consistency I've experienced before, and that was disappointing. I did speak with a manager and they were gracious and invited me back, which I appreciate. And I'm going to be fair... they are newly opened, so I'll give them some time to tighten things up. But right now? It's a no for me on the overall experience. I'd still recommend checking it out for the ambiance and potential, but if you're going, just know they've got some things to get together first. I'll revisit... just not anytime soon. read more

We really enjoyed our experience here. We came for my friend's birthday and everything overall was on point. The service was top-notch. Our waiter was nice, funny, attentive, and seemed to want to make sure that we had a good time. I also enjoyed the food. We were even given some smoked salmon on the house, which was really good surprisingly. We also tried the lobster tacos and those were good. I ordered the Seabass and this may be a surprise, but it's the first time I've ever had it and it was good. I mean, I will say I don't know if seabass is fully for me, but it was good. I got the potatoes au gratin as a side and those were really good. I did add a little extra salt though, but that could just be kind of a personal preference for me because they were still good. The birthday girl also got a free dessert which was like their banana cake. I don't remember exactly what it was called, but it was really good. I was the main person eating it because she didn't really want any, but it was definitely good. There was also a manager that would continuously come around and check on us as well and he added to the experience and he was making me laugh too pretty much everybody in there was pretty funny to me. The restaurant itself definitely has a really nice ambience.. it's of course very classy and upscale and they deliver in that area. It is definitely pricey for sure. I spent $100 including tip on my meal, but I knew that going into it so that wasn't a surprise. I had passed by Eddie V's long enough... And since I declared yesterday as "Treat Thyself Thursday", I thought it was the perfect time to stop in to see what it was all about! I went early, to avoid the dinner crowd, and had forgotten about their Happy Hour!  This was PERFECT for me to test the waters and try a few plates! I ordered the Burrata and beet salad, South African lobster bites, oysters Rockefeller, and the mini filet sliders.  All were just enough to get a good taste without filling up (but I was STUFFED after eating all of that)!  Of course, I had to have a cocktail as well!  Although there were a couple of good options on the Happy Hour menu, I went off script and ordered a Hope Diamond from the main menu. Concocted of vodka, grapefruit liqueur, and butterfly pea flower tea, it was a tad bit sweeter than what I usually drink, but the presentation and taste were nice, so I counted it as my dessert! #Cheers I'll definitely return for another Happy Hour experience after work and for dinner in the main dining room as it looked like it would make for a special evening out. read more

From start to finish this place is excellent. I heard Eddie V's was coming and immediately made a reservation! Not sure what took them so long to bring one to Atlanta, but I'm glad that they did. This a classy establishment and the atmosphere gives off rich vibes. They have a live band that plays and they were good. They become hilarious when they decided to sing happy birthday to me. We started with the wagyu dumplings and the crab cake and they were a 10/10. For dinner we had the center cut filet mignon, the center cut filet mignon w/the African lobster tail and morel-crusted lamb chops. All were divine, but the truffle Mac and cheese stole the show. We ordered the crab cake and the calamari for appetizers, and both were perfectly seasoned and delicious. I had an espresso martini (silky and strong in the best way), and my sister-in-law enjoyed a refreshing Paloma. The bread and butter? Always a classic here--warm, soft, and impossible to stop eating. The kids' menu was honestly adorable--my daughter had a little salad, chicken fingers, and fries, and my son ordered the filet mignon medium rare. Eddie V's is TOP TEIR! So excited they are finally in ATL!! We came to visit on opening day during happy hour aka Eddies Hours (from 4-6:30). Our expectations were very high! My past experience and anticipated excitement was overwhelming. I can truly say we enjoyed our visit. We were greeted and seated swiftly (w/NO RESERVATIONS). This time we sat in the bar eating area, this paired nicely with the live music, creating a smooth ambience. My meal began with a jumbo lump crab cake, and the drink w/Love Eddie! This drink was smooth, bold and had a sweet taste that blended very nicely. Next we were offered a muse, the chef served lamb w/ blueberry, and pancake like item w/caviare. The lamb was delicious. I'm not a fan of caviar but this was a nice intro for my main entrée. I ordered lollipop lamb chops w/fried rice. We ended our meal with the banana fosters butter cake! Very decadent and delicious, the taste was so rich and savory a bit overwhelming but I ate my half! Honestly the food speaks for itself, the ambiance always seems to exceed expectations. Happy to see Eddie V's join the Atlanta food scene. My husband booked a pre-Valentine's reservation for us on Friday night. When we arrived, there was a small wait, but we were then seated in the Prohibition Room. It was a quaint and cozy space, perfect for our evening dinner. The tables were decorated with Valentine's themed decorations. Zoe was our server; she was kind, knowledgeable, and attentive. I will definitely request her every time we visit! To start, Zoe brought us a complimentary amuse-bouche -- light and refreshing. We then ordered cocktails and appetizers. My husband ordered a smoked Old Fashioned, and I chose the Maverick. The smoked Old Fashioned was prepared tableside by Zoe, which was a really interesting experience. Both cocktails were perfectly crafted. We ordered the Wagyu dumplings and the Maine lobster bisque, which was poured tableside. Both dishes were delicious. For entrees, we shared the 10 oz Center Cut Filet Mignon and the 5 oz Roasted South African Lobster with Beurre Blanc. To enhance our steak, we added cave-aged blue cheese crust and two crab-stuffed jumbo shrimps. Additionally, we ordered the truffle mac and cheese and Brussels sprouts with no cashews as accompaniments. Everything was so tasty and flavorful. For our sweet treat, we had the Bananas Foster Butter Cake without bananas and with vanilla ice cream. The flambé was a showstopper. An added thoughtful touch was the anniversary card and sprinkle of red hearts on our table from the server. Made us feel like they were happy for us to be there. The interior is stunning. Relaxing and calm. Beautifully lit. I am almost fully deaf, so the noise level of restaurants can be challenging to me most times. I'm not sure what Eddie V's has done, but they managed to eliminate most of the background noise. Even the live music from inside the bar didn't travel into the dining room. We recently celebrated my wife's birthday at Eddie V's Prime Seafood after hearing great feedback from her friends. The restaurant itself is beautifully decorated, and we were pleased to be seated in a booth, which we prefer over standard tables. We started with a couple of cocktails--the 24 Karat and the Golden Hour--and both were excellent. To kick things off, we ordered the shellfish tower. It was good and offered a nice variety, though it felt like a bit much for just two people. For our main courses, my wife chose the scallops but wasn't impressed and mentioned she would try something different next time. I had the 18 oz. New York strip, which was cooked correctly and a good steak. On the side, the mashed potatoes were solid, but the Brussels sprouts were a miss--the sriracha sauce completely overpowered the dish and even affected the flavor of the rest of the meal. Dessert was the Bananas Foster cake, which unfortunately was disappointing. Instead of a traditional preparation with bananas flambéed in butter, brown sugar, and rum, it felt like a shortcut version--rum lite and poured over uncooked banana slices on top of cake. One small but noticeable issue was the service timing. Our entrees were brought out while we were still working on the shellfish tower, and the table hadn't been cleared yet, which made things feel a bit rushed and cluttered. Feb 13th my 1st visit to this location here in GA. Food was delicious my date enjoyed the Parmesan sole and myself the South African Lobster along with crab fried rice and truffle mac no complaints on that night! We did a pickup order a few days later because the time we wanted for dinner was booked up and nothing was available . I was very disappointed with our food from the pickup order, it was very measly but we paid the same price but the serving size wasn't even close to the quantity like when we dined in! Y'all. I believe this is the first five star review I've given on Yelp and Eddie v's is totally deserving. The moment we arrived we were welcomed and treated graciously; from the valet who opened the door to the hostesses at the desk. We did not have a reservation, having planned to just sit at the bar. The hostess invited us to look around and if the bar was full, come back and they would find us a table. I couldn't believe the bar was full at 5:15 on a Thursday, but it was, so we went back and said that we had planned on sampling some things off the happy hour menu. They immediately found us a table in the lounge and couldn't have been nicer about it. The attention to detail is top notch. Our server, Stephanie, was extremely friendly and helpful in guiding our menu choices. Henry kept bread on the table and our water glasses full. There were many others who were paying attention to us and would drop by to see if we needed anything or quickly clean up empty plates and glasses. Drew, the general manager, needs to be commended on doing a fantastic job. Again, I cannot stress how engaging the staff is. We sampled the calamari, steak tataki, and lollipop lamb. We finished things off with the bananas foster cake. Everything...I mean everything...was the best we'd ever had. We were already studying the menu for items to try the next time we come. Finally, the ambiance is second to none. From the look and feel of the room to the dress of the employees. I came here for dinner with my family, and I was very disappointed in the experience we had. First of all, service was disappointing. We were not offered a towel to clean our hands upon arrival, but both tables around us were. Our waters were only refilled once during dinner. We did at least get offered a complimentary bite. The food was also very disappointing overall. We ordered: Crab cakes: these were actually really good and the saving grace of the night. The crab cakes are loaded with crab and minimal filler. Very tasty with a good sauce. Calamari: pretty disappointing. I think I've had better calamari at Red Lobster. Portion size was small, and the sauce was not a great pairing. Black truffle tartare: from the happy hour menu and pretty good given the price. Would just order more of this if I ever had to go again. South African lobster bites: portion is really small for the price. Taste was alright. Lobster bisque: on the salty side and a tad too much butter in the soup. Lollipop lamb chops: my brother ordered this for his entree. The waiter misheard and brought out an order of the full lamb chops instead. When my brother asked him about it, they took the lamb chops back and gave him the right portion. I normally wouldn't mention this, but one of our sides was mistakenly given to another table. They didn't take it away from them though. 22oz bone in ribeye: my parents ordered this for their entree. Gonna be honest, this was just fine. Pretty disappointing for what's supposed to be a high end steakhouse. I've made better ribeyes at home that weren't even dry aged. 10oz center cut filet mignon: not sure how they screwed this up, but this is the least tender cut of filet I've ever had. Truffle mac and cheese: good portion of truffle, pretty tasty. Lobster mashed potatoes: good portion size but way too much butter. Crab fried rice: they butchered fried rice and made it way too American style. Overall, Eddie V's was shockingly bad for a supposed high end steakhouse. Would recommend you ignore the hype and skip. They can't even compare to a longhorn's, let alone a nicer steakhouse. It's a shame considering the vibe of the place is actually nice. I took my wife to an early Valentine dinner. The restaurant was beautiful, however the experience was well below the value and expectations of a Top Class Restaurant in Atlanta. The issues were: We ordered 10oz Filet medium rare. What we received was a thick layer of burnt meat on both sides. Whoever was cooking that know does not know how to cook a steak. My wife had one bite and moved to the Au Gratin Potatoes which exceeded our expectations. Their Ahi Tartare was good but not a value The drinks were awesome. When we ordered deserts it took over 20 minutes only to find both deserts were just taken out of the refrigerator when one should have been at room temperature and the other hot. I would recommend you stay away from the steaks and park your car yourself. It too over 25 minutes to get our car from the Valet as there was only one employee read more

They took it back and gave overcooked happy hour portion - Was double charged for both happy hour and entree lamb chops only noticed after paying already. Had to flag down to get it removed. Finally, both the table in front of us and the table behind us were offered warm towels. For some reason, our table was the only one missed. I even turned around and looked at the server who was giving warm towels to the table behind us, but she pretended not to notice us. When i tell you that I'm so happy that we have Eddie V's in Alpharetta it's such an understatement! Walking in the atmosphere was so nice and the hostess were very welcoming! I first visited the flagship restaurant in Austin Texas with some entertainment clients and it was an absolute incredible experience. Here in Alpharetta our servers were Watts and John-Scott since John was in training and the manager Kyle. All of these gentlemen were very very professional and superior without a doubt with their knowledge and recommendations! It was my wife's first time and it was her birthday and they all made it such a memorable experience. We made sure to come during happy hour because from my prior experience it got pretty busy and i was completely accurate with changing our reservation because it got busy for the evening! To start we ordered happy hour drinks from the Eddie V's lounge and of course it had to be some spicy margaritas, i ended up also ordering a Spanish red that was really tasty as well. Next, we ordered a dozen of the oysters and all the accompanying sauces (Mignonette, horseradish and cocktail) were all excellent. Followed up with a warm goat cheese arugula salad and then came the Ahi tuna over a crispy rice, and ribeye sliders. Chefs kiss! Finally we chose to share the Parmesan crusted Dover Sole and enhanced it with the stuffed crab shrimp and added a side of crab fried rice. We finished everything off with another round of drinks and their fan favorite banana fosters dessert which is very reminiscent of our favorite sticky toffee cake dessert!! Again chefs kiss!! My wife and I dined at Eddie V's last evening for my birthday. The service and atmosphere were outstanding, the food left us empty. We ordered the 10 oz filet to share, i understand that when the weight is quoted is pre cooking, there is no way 3 or 4 oz's cooked out of that filet it was 6 to 7 oz's at best. it was ordered Medium Rare, came out Medium to Medum well. i understand i could have sent it back, but we did not have the time. We also orderded the Beet Salad, which came out 5 plus minutes after the steak. All and all a poor experience i am glad we dined there as it just confirmed that our steakhouse dining dollars will be only spend at Pampas Steakhouse in John's Creek. read more

I ordered a ceasar salad. It took a long time before it arrived and was drowned in ceasar dressing and croutons. There wasn't much lettuce, and it was quite possibly one of the worst ceasar salads I've ever had. I had the crab stuffed shrimp for my main dish, and although the crab stuffing was good, I found the shrimp to be overly salty. The plate had only 4 stuffed shrimp. New place to try, you say? Look no further than Eddie V's. DELISH! We went for happy hour as they have good food on that menu and stayed for the live music and dessert. Get the calamari (so tender and accompianed with vegees and sauce), lollipop lamb (yum) and the creme brulee. Oh- and they had a butter churned with paprika that made you forget your no carb diet.
