I order from Zhang Garden all the time and most of the time the food is absolutely delicious, but I ordered today and I was totally disappointed in the fried wonton. It was greasy. It was as though the oil wasn't hot enough, and they absorbed all the grease first before they fried and the first time I tried the pepper steak, the beef you could barely chew it not a happy camper, especially when you paid that much money when they add a delivery fee and you leave a tip not the driver's fault though. This is by far the best all around Chinese take out in Ocala. First off the pricing is one of the most reasonable I have seen. Food is great also. The faux crab Rangoon is a must have as it's shaped into a triangle which makes more room for the cheese! It's a little bit oniony for me but dipped in sauce I didn't notice. Speaking of won ton skins, their soup is fantastic as the won tons are large and cooked slightly al dente. No mushiness here. And I love the chicken fried rice! I ordered Crab Rangoon and Bourbon chicken. The crab Rangoon was ok, which is the only reason I gave two stars. The Bourbon Chicken was absolutely awful. The chicken was so incredibly overcooked and dry that I could not even eat it. Hardly any Bourbon sauce on it and what was there seemed watered down. I fed it to my dogs. I made the big mistake of ordering curry chicken. It seems that someone has told the chef that "curry" means "fricking hot". Now, I'm from the Caribbean and I used to live in Louisiana, so I'm not stranger to spicy food. This curry was not spicy or curry, it was chicken and chinese vegetables swiming in water with pieces of dry ají, or hot pepper. They staff is kind & delivery guy was nice (which is why I give 2 stars) but the rice wasn't good at all (no flavor, very bland & tasted like it was cooked on a dirty flat top). Also, the fried rice that comes with the combo plates has chicken instead of pork...the chicken was mushy and gray. The sweet n sour chicken wasn't too bad but I've had way better. Ordered for the first time. I got the General Tso platter and my hubby got the bourbon chicken platter. The rice was flavorless with no pork and a couple little pieces of onion. It was basically white rice with a little soy sauce. The bourbon chicken was so dry and flavorless that it was thrown away. My chicken was basically breading, no sauce, no flavor. I am a manager at Applebee's and would never treat my guests that way! They wouldn't even give us a discount on the meal at all! So I go to order my food there and I'm standing there waiting after I gave my order. I see the guy who is going to make my food wash his hands without soap in front of me after being on his phone before I got there. On top of that I did not see one of them ware gloves or put on gloves this entire process. In other words if you are sitting around doing nothing and I have no idea what you have been doing before at least wash your hands with soap.
