The Pakistani woman with the scarf wrapped around her head, just did a full leg wax on me today, but it was NOT full leg! She said she was finished and I looked at my legs and there was still MANY patches of very noticeable dark hair through out different areas of my legs. She spent another 20 minutes (she's very slow, it's took 1.5 hours in total) and she kept telling me that she doesn't have time because she closes at 6pm. Well .... what would you like me to do then? ... pay you for a half job with hair patches all over my legs?? Finally she said she was done again. I paid $70 (no tip because tips must be earned) for the legs and she waxed my outer bikini area. VERY VERY POORLY. There are literally big patches of pubic hair!! I have a modeling shoot coming up and now I'm going to have to book another appointment somewhere else and spend a bunch more time taking care of this, because she did a poor job AND she told me when I booked the appointment she would do full leg, Brazilian wax (she never did Brazilian), and armpits (she said she didn't have time, after I was already getting waxed). She could have just been honest and said she didn't have time to do it all, so that I could have gone somewhere else. She left sticky sugar wax in little spots all over my legs too! Oh, AND (yes, there's more) I showed her where I had a scab injury on my left calf, and she ripped the scab off with the wax! I don't normally leave bad reviews but this review needs to happen because she is absolutely not qualified and I feel taken advantage of. read more

I guess it depends on who you get when you get your brows threaded. To me it's potluck. Sometimes it's perfect and other times I look in a mirror outside and wonder if the woman was as blind as a bat... I think the room needs to be better lit as it is quite dark and that would help the problem. Another thing is sometimes they don't listen like there IS a difference between shaping and cleaning up. I was looking to find a place that does henna. Came across Zia threading. Just from calling and speaking to whom ever answered the phone made me feel comfortable to give them a try. They r very welcoming, the atmosphere is relaxing. Anila did my eyebrows and did a wonderful job! She is amazing!!!! She listened and cared as to what I wanted. Came here as a walk-in for eyebrow threading without a problem. Since it wasn't busy, I was taken care of right away. Unfortunately I didn't get the name of the girl who did my eyebrows but it was in the first chair when you walk in. This was only my first time getting my brows threaded (usually wax) and it was not that painful. She threaded and then trimmed my brows, which I liked cause my hairs grow pretty long. So I had never done threading before, but I was walking out of the Westfield Sherman Oaks Fashion Square, and saw it and thought it's about time I leave my comfort zone and stop waxing! I made an appointment and went in on a Saturday at noon. There were about 2 people there before I got there, and for once, a place that honors appointments!!! I showed up and signed in, and was told, "oh youre next!" that was a the first plus. I worked with Anila, and told her it was my first time and that i wanted my eyebrows to look fuller. She did exactly what I wanted hr to do! It was great! The second up side is that, she made me feel 100% comfortable. As she was threading, she was walking me through as well. This place use to be great. I've been coming for two years. I come in and get my brows cleaned up. I would just come sit down and they knew. A few visits ago one of the new ladies charged my brow shape. Ive come back hoping to get my old shape back. I've gotten eyebrow threading, upper lip threading and henna done at this location. They did a good job and I have no complaints about the work that was done. The reason why I'm looking for a new place is because they give me bad vibes and are super rude. I'm usually one to just be like whatevers over customer service as long as the product/service they are selling is good, but these ladies are just so rude I don't even want to tip them! They barely say hello when you walk in and you feel like you don't even matter, like they don't even need your business. They don't explain prices (if there's upcharges) and they're just overall very unfriendly. First let me say that I have been coming here for over a year and have been pleased with the experience even since their location change. After today unfortunately I will not be returning. While getting my eyebrows touched up today I felt an unusually hard rip. When she gave me the mirror and revealed the job I went "oh no!" I saw that there was a huge chunk that was taken from my brow. Obviously this was an accident and I even asked oh an just an accident oh no. The tech did not take ownership. I was a little shocked but of course everyone makes mistakes and I thought maybe I would be offered a discount. When I went up to pay with my boyfriend who also gets his brows threaded there, she had the other tech assist us and we paid full price. I could also tell that the other tech was shocked at the job of my now extremely uneven chunked brow. I have a photo shoot next week and am very upset. Just shocked that I was not offered an apology or acknowledgment of the mistake that was made. Of course I still thanked them and tipped my usual nice 5$ buck amount but I will not be coming back :( read more

THE WORST THREADING PLACE I HAVER EVER BEEN TOO! I read the reviews and thought this would be the best place to goto. I got my full face waxed. It seemed fine at first other than the fact she missed spots on my cheek and upper lip that I had to go back and ask her to fix. The next day, I broke out horribly and you could see the lines from the string going into my cheek. I was expecting to get the best eyebrow service in my life. The place was nice. Good location. Boy was I wrong. I was helped by the owner. Who knew absolutely nothing. She did not listen to a word about what I wanted. I am very particular about my eyebrows. They're thick. And I get many compliments. And so I want to maintain the brook shields look. But this woman absolutely botched my eyebrows. I said leave them thick and walked out looking like a "chola" with penciled in eyebrows. I was so upset. I wanted to cry. I was really impressed with Zia Threading. From the minute you walk in there's a very mellow relaxing vibe from the music to the decor. My threader was Monica and she did an amazing job on my brows. It barely hurt and she was very friendly and made me feel relaxed. She didn't take too much off and was quick without sacrificing thoroughness. You can't beat $8.99 for brows. I definitely like them better than the place inside the mall. There was very little wait and no gawkers. I went here Saturday for the first time. There was a bit if a wait for walk-ins bought I fought my intuition telling me to go to the Brow Bar upstairs. I really wish I did. While the work on my eyebrows was satisfactory....I have been breaking out around my eyebrow area everyday since. I do not get acne my skin is smooth and blemish free but now I have four painful acne bumps lining my eyebrows. Its unsightly and painful, I will never go back to this place again. read more

I love this place! I started going here when they use to be located at the Westfield Fashion Square and followed them over when they relocated. It's just one of those places where I fell in love instantly. Last time I was in I had a lady named Iram work on me. She was so light handed and gave my eyebrows such a beautiful shape! I go here and I have the little card where I can get a free threading after 10. I usually see Alpa, the first time, she did my eyebrows, was wonderful. I came in again and needed my brows done in a rush I trusted she would be as good as Alpa, but was the worst ever. I could've did better with no arms and a tweezer. My eyebrows look whore-idable. I saw Alpa and started going to her regualary and she has fallen off. I went in today and she gave a girl the card to get a free threading after ten, and the girl said, That's ok I will not be coming back to you, you messed up my brows". I have been here a few times and normally see Idra. I know I messed up the spelling of her name. She is good and gets it every time. Tonight when I went they were busy and only had two girls working. The tech that I saw has done my eyebrows once before and she did a decent clean up. I was a bit reluctant to go to her again, but I did anyway. I won't mention her name; it's a hot mess! It's terrible. I won't be going back unless I am hard pressed AND my normal girl is there. Be very picky about your tech if you go here. If your instinct tells you NO, don't do it! They seem to get sloppy at this place when they are busy. It's a shame because they are super convenient and the nail salon next door is pretty good :( read more
