They damaged my standard size Farmhouse garage door in their shop, never delivered or installed it, stole my $3000 deposit + lied to AmEx to allege my door was non refundable due to "custom and couldn't resell it." I returned to their business incognito and met w/ a salesperson. Told him I was a designer and needed a discounted STANDARD size Farmhouse garage door. He immediately showed me MY damaged garage door and said it was abandoned!! I contacted their Office Mgr to demand my refund due to ZIEGLER DOORS illegal business practices. Yet they refused. We had a $10,000 custom door made by Zeigler. Bryan was our salesman. Door was installed 7/2023. The door is beautiful but extremely noisy to use. After many attempts to get service or someone to come back and look at the door to no avail, I wrote a review over a year ago. With a poor rating. I heard back from Bryan with an apology asking me to take down my review and a promise to give us a free lubricant-ion service with a service tech. Never happened. I did take down my review. I'm writing another one because I am frustrated that I cannot get service. I don't recommend using Ziegler. I'm assuming Bryan is still employed with Zeigler. Do NOT buy garage doors from Ziegler Doors. We purchased 3 garage doors from this company. We have had so many issues with the garage doors due to their weight. We have continually tried to call the company to resolve our issues. We are not able to get anyone to answer the phone or our emails. We have had to spend thousands of dollars with another garage door company to try to provide more supports for the doors and have had to purchase commercial garage door openers, since the ones we bought through Ziegler were not large enough to handle the weight. We continue to have issues with the weight of the doors and Ziegler continues not to respond to our calls or emails. They do not support their products or provide any type of warranty. The doors are so bad, that after less than a year, we have to replace them. Steer clear of this company. read more

I reached out to a few garage vendors earlier this year because I wanted a custom look reclaimed wood garage door. From the get go, Bryon is extremely responsive and professional. He came out, gave a quote, I agreed and told me the lead time will be around 8 weeks. The garage was ready in 4 weeks - totally exceeded my expectation and he also made the eyebrow for the window that matches the reclaimed garage door. At the beginning, the motor was making a lot of noise but Byron assured me that this is normal and told me to reach out to him again once I have moved in. With regard to the latter, he practically cleaned my garage to ensure nothing was at risk of blocking them. My garage door opener started misbehaving during the long July 4th weekend and in spite of the holidays, Adriana was able to get Oscar and Rudy to come and get the problem resolved. Both my garage doors got a tuneup which was badly needed, and new set of rollers. And the techs installed a brand new Liftmaster opener with the latest Wifi technology. This company is run by thieves. Run from them. Don't even give them a shot. They quoted us $9500 to install driveway gate motors and got a $4800 deposit just because they spent one hour at the job site. It's against state license board rules to take a deposit for more than $1000 but they did. Shame on me. This was two years ago and they have not done the work or delivered any products. We have called them no less then 15 times. No response from their owner Byron. No response from the person on the company voicemail. Their sales person Brian answers his phone and says he lets the owner know we need to get our project scheduled but there is never a return call. I even went to then to shop to see what was going on. One of the workers let me in, door was locked. No one else was there. Sales person Brian showed up and texted his boss Brian who then never contacted us as usual. So there you have it. Ask for Tim Shaffer. I was lucky to get Tim who tuned up my garage door. In fact, I was going to call Zeigler but happened to catch him working on my neighbor's garage. He didn't even hesitate to come over and give me a check up and tune up. Fortunately, I was still in the warranty time frame. He is patient, professional, and extremely knowledgeable. Garage doors are like cars. They require maintenance and have an odometer. Don't take it for granted like this clueless homeowner. If you pay attention to it and monitor the garage door, it will last much longer. Next time I sense my door is becoming unbalanced or needs a tune up, I will be personally requesting Tim and if he's not available I'll probably wait for him. I trust him. read more

A good company. Tripointe homes builder went with this company and I"m glad they did. Had a heavy wooden sliding garage door installed and was having issues with large popping noises when the garage wasn't used for a few hours. Was told that it should go away due to the paint sticking from the builder and the garage company sent out Tim who is amazing at his job. He fixed the alignment of the door and track. Made sure the hinges were greased and did what he had to do to fix the issue the best he could. 6 months later the issue still persisted. I called the company they sent Tim again and this time he had a solution. He put some sort of wax on the outside hinges of the garage and that solved the issue completely. However, he didn't stop there. He stayed for a good hour or so relubing the hinges and making sure everything worked PERFECTLY THANK YOU read more

The project included a double garage door, a single garage door, two gates, and special stained wood to do a custom fence. As a general contractor I am always looking for good reliable subcontractors. Not only did Ziegler come through for us, they went over and above. Their design and execution was perfect. Sales staff and management worked hand-in-hand with us to make sure that the project was delivered in a timely manner and at a fair price. I will use them again on other projects. I have been dealing with Ziegler Doors for almost three years. They initially built seven landscaping gates, a driveway gate, three garage doors and two arched landscape doors. All items arrived on time and were absolutely beautiful. The quality and craftsmanship was top notch. Since then I have had Ziegler out for a couple of issues with the driveway gate and Sal has always arrived and fixed the issue. He is professional, courteous and really knows his stuff! I used Ziegler for minor maintenance on my garage doors and again I was pleased with their technicians. The technicians were always friendly, professional and most importantly resolved my issues. One technician even went the extra mile and working with my teenage son, spent the time to get the MyQ app working to my satisfaction on my phone to open and close the garage doors. Just this past summer, Ziegler did strip and stain the gates, as well as resolve some minor gate hardware issues. When I was unhappy with the stain color, Paul R. was out right away to resolve the issue. He explained that stain colors look differently depending on a number of factors such as the wood species, the sun exposure of the wood, etc. Paul worked with me to come up with a custom color and at their expense he had his crew strip the gate, bleach the wood and stain it again. Paul R. is very professional, friendly and truly cares about the customer. He is willing to go the extra mile to make the customer happy. read more

I have just had the best experience! Over the past year I had been researching types of garage doors and suppliers of garage doors. One of my first calls was To Ziegler Doors and their salesperson Bryan gave me a quote for 3 Mediterranean style wood garage doors. I thought the price was to high and went about comparing their price with everyone within a 500 mile radius. After doing a comparative analysis I put my faith in Bryan and his company that they would deliver to me what they promised. My doors arrived two weeks ago. Three all-pro installers worked for almost 11 hours on a Saturday. I am in the construction business and these men were focused on every detail throughout the installation. End result... my garage doors resemble pieces of indoor furniture! The attention to detail on the type of wood, the mottled glass, the wrought iron inserts(powder finished), the high quality commercial openers to the incredible stain job leave me sitting in my driveway everytime I come home from work admiring the workmanship. Buyer beware. We ultimately had to file a complaint with the CA State Contractors Licensing board. We paid 50% down (over $12,000) for a new custom garage door and double entry doors in December 2018. We also ordered a custom mailbox earlier this year, received a quote in an email but no official estimate. Communication was horrible after we paid our deposit. We had to leave many voicemails and send many emails before getting a single response. Once we were ready for installation, it took several months to schedule. Everything was supposed to be installed at the same time, however the day before install I was informed that only the garage door was ready to install- this was in August, 8 months after we paid our 50% deposit. After the garage door was installed, we were told that the entry doors & mailbox would be installed several weeks later. The manager that we worked with left the company in September. Since then, no one will respond to our calls, emails or texts. It's almost one year since we paid 50% down. Others in a similar situation should file a complaint - google "CA state contractors licensing board complaint" to get the link to the site- process is easy, complete form online, print, sign and mail with your documents/proof of deposit. The company will not be able to renew their license if there are outstanding complaints. read more

Customer service was poor. I called several times for assistance they said they would come out to change my door handle that locks, which was what i requested in the original order and they never came. a month later while opening the courtyard door the whole door handle fell out. I had to get a locksmith and found out they glued the door handle together. Instead of getting the right screws for the door they did patch work. I will should have read the reviews first to know Buyers beware. I don't think they should get a star but i cant post review unless i choose one. read more

I love this company. Albert seems like the owner and was very helpful explaining with me what kind of options I have and what his best recommendation is. He made an appointment with his technician the following week. Tim was a technician for us. He arrived on time. Very thorough and knowledgeable. He really made sure that I understood everything and what to watch for in the future. Only downside was that they gave me 'complementary' LifeMaster MyQ remote control device in order to control my garage door with my iphone. However, There was no way that I can make it work. The ID number on the opener has different digits than the device manual. I just think I should not complain about this, since I received it for free.
