This is a very popular diner. What are the biggest reasons I love coming here is they make all the ingredients by hand? Everything is made fresh. They don't use a lot of processed food at all so you're getting real food when you come here. I absolutely love the breakfast burrito I ordered mine with sausage and bacon and the country potatoes on the side. Salsa is incredible and I absolutely love it but be careful if you're in a hurry and you come in and it's busy give them a little extra time because the fresh food that's being made for you takes a little bit of skill and they have that skill here

It's hard to find an affordable restaurant in 2026 but look no further. Ordered 2 burgers for pick up @ $7.50 each on grub hub. Zig's is a very cozy, old school vibe with family friendly atmosphere. The food is always delicious, service is always amazing. Moving out of the area so I had to come here one last time ordered 2 bothers one with no onion, and I love how easy it is to differentiate the burgers as they write on the wrapper "no onions" which I definitely appreciate. They are only open from 8am - 3pm so keep that in mind! If you're in the area definitely come here for breakfast or lunch!

Zig's is one of those mom and pop places that only locals tend to know about! You drive past it and wouldn't really be tempted to stop by based on the exterior! Now my husband loves places like this so we stopped for breakfast here and if I recommend one thing it'll be their PANCAKES! They're fluffy, buttery and sweet at the same time!! We ordered a side of pancakes, a breakfast chorizo burrito, and chilli cheese fries. Again the pancakes were delicious, they fit every category of a good pancake! The breakfast burrito was good, it had a good proportion of egg, chorizo, beans and potatoes! The chorizo wasn't overly aromatic which is always a plus! Now the chilli cheese fries were ok, I did like that they offered grilled onions but the chilli was chilli beans that was heavy on the tomato flavor! Not something you typically see on chilli cheese fries! The service was good, the waitresses were nice, and checked up on us a few times! They do get busy which means sometimes things take a little longer than you'd like, but If I were in the area again I'd be back for the pancakes.

Amazing experience dining at Zig's. Corina the server is so kind and attentive. The owner George is so friendly too. Love the vintage style of this diner. Great prices and my patty melt was amazing! Well have to come back!

I have eaten at Zigs for many years, as I live relatively close to them. I've never reviewed them before, and I would have given it 5 stars except for something that I saw the last time I went there. Before I get to that, here's my overall review: it is a diner - no more, no less. But it is a good diner and I happen to like diners. VERY intimate little spot and you know (usually) exactly what you will get there; good diner food and great and caring service from always sociable servers. They basically kill you with kindness. Here is what I saw the last time I visited. I posted a picture of the little diner so that on this particular occasion, you could see my point of view. I could not help but witness what happened. One of the wait staff (who I found out later was named "Precious") just strolled on over to that mirror, put her face very close to it and, as she looked at herself, began to... wait for it... pop her pimples - I kid you not! She was there, without exaggeration, for a good minute and a half, which, think about it, is quite a long time when you are doing something like that in public. I was in mid-chew, and I could not stop looking at her. It was hard to believe what my eyes were actually seeing. I am NOT trying to be mean here, but it was such an off-putting sight that I just had to write about it. It's a good thing I wasn't eating, say, vanilla pudding or some such thing when I witnessed this. I would have just lost it!

I kept passing this place and I decided to go in and is definitely one of my favorites spots. It's a small location but it comes with a lot of personality from the food, food to the staff. The prices and portions are awesome. The staff is super friendly and attentive. I ordered a breakfast burrito that was so yummy. The Redneck Benedict was so good it was by far my favorite. Will definitely come back and try other dishes. Highly recommend this pla

I can't believe this place on has 3.9 stars. Ok I get it, the outside doesn't look like much and looks closed but the quality of the food is great and it's flavorful ! And the prices can't be beat this is my new favorite spot :)

Located in the Encino Town Center, I am so happy that my daughter recommended this restaurant. The interior of the restaurant is large, with numerous well-stocked tables and many more tables located outside for patio dining. There also appeared to be a mid-sized banquet room off to one side, behind closed doors, which several guests were exiting to use the restrooms. The entire staff was very friendly, hard-working, and attentive to each of their assigned tables. The specialty here is the waffles; however, their menu is HUGE!!! It offers guests a variety of other food options, including pancakes, salads, omelets, crepes, and more. My family and I ordered Nutella crepes, peach waffles, frittata, and seasoned potatoes. Each item was DELICIOUS, fresh, and well prepared. We plan to return here soon to try other great-sounding options on the menu. This was a very positive dining experience.

The decor is exactly what you'd expect (and exactly what you want) from a neighborhood coffee shop: formica tables, padded chairs and booths, aging photos on the walls, and lively music playing on the radio. It was bustling at lunchtime on a Thursday, but not crazy busy (as on many weekend mornings), so I was seated immediately. The menu boasts a fairly large selection of options, from the usual breakfast items to sandwiches and burgers, daily specials, and those aforementioned muffins (which you can get instead of toast with your breakfast if you like). Today, I opted for their Spicy Louisiana Hot Link with eggs, grits and toast. It was a very generous portion of food for $16.95, and I appreciate how they've manage to keep their prices reasonable. The eggs were a proper over-medium, and the grits were both hot and creamy. The side of butter melted easily into the porridge, which, when salted and peppered, made for a satisfying and savory bite. The sausage was split and grilled, showing off a nice char; they were spicy, as advertised, but not overly powerful, and they paired very well with the warm, creamy egg yolk. Rye toast was full of caraway flavor, and really shone when topped with butter and a generous slather of Nat's house-made Apricot Jam (packed with fruit flavor without being too sweet). Yes, Nat's remains a solid, satisfying spot for breakfast and lunch. And though parking can sometimes be a challenge, I find the food is well worth the effort.

They were light, sweet, and a nice way to start the meal without committing to a full sweet breakfast. For my main meal, I had the Steak Hash, which was really good. The combination of beef tenderloin, potatoes, eggs, spinach, mushrooms, Gorgonzola, and hollandaise made it hearty and flavorful. We also had the Crunchy French Toast, and that was amazing. Definitely one of the highlights of the meal and something I would order again. What made the experience even better was the owner. He was incredibly friendly, welcoming, and made you feel like he genuinely appreciated you being there. That kind of hospitality always stands out. What bothers me is being asked to choose a tip before I've received the service. I'm given options like 10%, 15%, 18%, or 20%--but how am I supposed to know what level of service deserves 10% versus 20% when the service hasn't happened yet? If I choose 10% and the service is excellent, I may feel like I should have tipped more. If I choose 20% and the service is poor, I feel like I've overpaid. Ironically, this system makes me more likely to choose a conservative tip every time. I'd much rather have the option to tip after the service is provided, when I can actually evaluate the experience. My recommendation: keep the QR ordering if you want, but move the tipping option to the end of the meal, after the service has been provided. That would make tipping feel more fair and meaningful.

The earl grey flavor was strong, so it was definitely on the sweeter side. The chicken was definitely different from the Taiwanese-style popcorn chicken I was expecting. The texture was more like mini chicken tenders or nuggets than the usual crispy, popcorn chicken. The chicken itself was juicy and had less breading. Not bad at all, just different from what I expected. Pricing is also not bad, especially for the portions. I parked in the back lot, but there's also free street parking.
