Me, the last time we had brunch.
    Vanessa G.

Zin is always a guaranteed spot for a wonderful meal when we are in Palm Springs. The vibe is elevated, and I love sitting at the bar top. My husband and I usually have brunch, but this time we had dinner. I absolutely love the mussels in white wine. I get them every time. The zin bites are such a delicacy. We tell everyone we know how amazing these little beef wellington bites are. My husband had the burnt ends and he loved them. The potato salad was fantastic. There is a great selection of wine and crafted cocktails. If this place was closer to my house, I'd go twice a week! Thats how good it is. The sorbet is the ive had.

Another place that I've walked by loads of time and never tried. Always stopped by looked at the menu but never went in. Well, finally it was the day. Modernism week and pretty much places were getting full even in the morning. We walked by and looked at the menu, there was maybe 2 tables occupied. After a few back and fourths we decided to give it a go. They offer a 2 course menu for 29.00, starters and an entree. There's a few extra entrees that's an additional free if you wanted to add that as a 2 course meal. Some of the extra add on range from 5.00 to 10.00 additional. We got seated on the patio as we had our little pup with us. Odd as the hostess mentioned to us that the dog had to be on a certain side when seated. Ok, never heard of such but ok. Menu, they did have a lot of breakfast and brunch à la carte if you didn't want the 2 course. Plus, they were pretty much the same on both menu. I know they have dinner which I've heard was quite nice too. We ended going with the two course. First was the half wedge salad. Honestly, it was quite nice and tasty. Even though it was half, it was still a nice decent portion with apple smoked bacon, tomatoes, red onions and citrus Roquefort dressing. Dressing alone was very tasty and paired very well. For the entree, the chicken club sandwich. Herbs grilled chicken with apple smoked bacon, lettuce, tomatoes and chipotle aioli on brioche bun and served with fries or potato salad. It was more of a burger style than a sandwich and pretty big. Second entrees, stated with the wild mushroom truffle soup. That too was quite tasty. Entree for that was the albacore tuna melt, sun dried tomatoes, shallots, avocado and white cheddar cheese on whole wheat bread with a side of fires as well. Both of the sandwiches were quite tasty and pretty plentiful. Apparently they're known for their breakfast or Benedict as we heard. They had a nice mimosas deal but we couldn't take advantage of it as we were on a time crunch. First time and it was quite nice. The food was great for brunch which dinner maybe for the next visit. Plus, loads of heat lamps in the patio which was perfect as it was chilly.

We went to lunch in Palm Springs and found this quant bistro. We were seated immediately and our server came by taking our drink orders. She was pleasant and pretty busy so there wasn't much conversation. The drinks were great. I ordered a Bloody Mary with bacon that was delicious. We had a great time and the music in the background was modern contemporary and we were able to carry on a conversation with no problem. I ordered the Huevos Rancheros that was excellent and filling! Nice little bistro on the "Strip" in Palm Springs.

Restraunt did a great job for a group of 20. Wait staff was very attentive and kept drinks flowing. All of the food came out for each course at almost exactly the same time. Great flavor. Some didn't care for the soup but it was a texture thing. This is a place I would come back to. Good food, good service.

They have Happy Hour. We visited for late night bites. The service was excellent. The bartender was friendly and helpful. Enjoyed the puff pastry filet mignon and the homemade cheesecake. Very impressed. Be back soon.

The service was hospitable and friendly. The Margarita was fantastic! The Shrimp Cocktail was perfect and the Zin Bites!!! Omg! We sat out on the patio so we could people watch...lol Overall....I would recommend this spot , especially for happy hour.

This bistro is located right on the main Palm Street drag. Despite the busy area the restaurant was romantic and intimate. Our server was friendly and attentive, even with a large group. The meals were delicious and good proportions. The steak frites was not a favorite but all of the desserts were amazing.

What's lefts of blue cheese stuff olives Belvedere martini and great fries

Ok! We have walked by here for years . Our mistake as the food , service and Love is perfection . Travis the bartender took great care of us as we are bar flys ! Even though we had left overs from last night , we needed a fresh martini before heading home to leftovers so here we are again lol. The lobster pastas and short ribs pastas are our leftovers tonight Big love hugs to the staff , chef and Travis for taking great care of locals

Truffle fries, burrata, mushroom truffle soup, poke.
    Leah A.

The mushroom truffle soup, incredible!! Truffle fries extra crispy was so tasty! You can really taste the truffle flavor. The poke good portions and fresh. The burrata a'ight. Knocking down a notch for the drinks. They sounded so bougie and unique but tasted a lil off. They said the drinks were so good, I think they fibbed but service was efficient. Ambiance was a'ight. We sat on the patio to people watch.

Great location on the corner in Palm Springs. Outdoor seating. Happy hour burger although is on the HH menu, they are no longer including it in HH. So if you want it, you are going to pay $30. HH is only at THE BAR also. There is plenty of meat in the burger but the bun is one of those hard ciabatta buns. Lots of bun too. I felt like this totally ruined the burger. It made the whole thing dry. The sliders were small with very little meat but those buns would have been perfect for the burger. A soft buttery bun! The fires tasted weird too. I told my BF they could have been cooked in duck fat but not sure. They tasted "off". Didn't have cocktails but they did have more specials on drinks...

Came for brunch! Had the espresso martini, the 2 course lunch. I had the beef Wellington and a shrimp Caesar salad, my partner had the wedge and chicken sandwich. Food was delicious and Alexa our waitress was great and attentive. The vibes were very nice and chill. I will definite back when in town.

Great food and service. Amanda was great and helped us with the menu choices. I've been here a few time and would definitely be back.

I've been to Zin American Bistro a few times. Each time I recall the wait staff being friendly and helpful. Both times I had a comfortable seat, whether outside or in. And both times I've had mixed feelings about some of their food. Now, before I go too much further, I should say that most of what I've eaten here has been quite good. But there have also been some distinct misses. At my most recent visit, I ordered the rib meat carpaccio. This dish was excellent. Marbled beef topped with arugula, pesto and grated Parmesan. This was a great dish. A definite "A." On the other hand, my macadamia encrusted schnitzel lacked even the remotest crunch and, without smearing it with the lingonberry jam was almost flavor-less. This one earned a "D." However, despite that, the broccolini that accompanied the schnitzel was excellent...as were the wedged potatoes. Happily the meal concluded with the Belgian Chocolate Mouse. Very rich dark chocolate flavor combine with tart raspberry sauce. Delightful. So, basically, this restaurant absolutely has the capacity to provide a phenomenal dining experience. But you are rolling the dice when you place your order.

One of the reasons I keep coming back is the availability of private dining rooms that are conveniently located near the main dining area. If you're planning a group dinner meeting, just be aware that the sliding doors don't completely block out the noise from the dining room, so conversations may not be as secluded as you'd expect. That said, the food is consistently outstanding. The heirloom tomato salad is an absolute must-order. The crème fraîche dressing is incredible. Pro tip: save some bread to soak up every last bit of it. For the main course, the mesquite-smoked carne asada is exceptional. The meat is cooked perfectly, and the combination of pinto beans, ranchera sauce, and slightly sweet corn pudding creates a balanced and memorable dish. The portions are thoughtfully sized! Satisfying without leaving you feeling overly full. And whatever you do, don't skip dessert. They're all worth trying, but the macchiato cake is the standout and the perfect way to end the meal. Whether you're meeting clients, celebrating a special occasion, or simply enjoying a night out, Eight4Nine delivers excellent food, a welcoming atmosphere, and a dining experience that keeps me coming back.

A couple girls ordered the carne asada, and really enjoyed that as well. I'd say the biggest miss for our group was with the drinks. One gal ordered a vodka soda with lots of lemons. She recieved a literal glass of vodka, full, with a whole bottle of sparkling water on the side. This was so odd, but we're not the type to send things back so she went with it. Another lady ordered the manhattan and the server noticed immediately that it didn't look quite right, and had that fixed. It had come with an orange slice and no vermouth originally. Reservations are notoriously hard to get, but we got lucky with a last-minute walk-in and were seated after 15-20 min wait. There's plenty of parking, and if you do have to wait, they have a cute little covered outdoor seating area with chairs and tables where you can relax. We sat on the patio, which was surprisingly cool and comfortable, so don't let the Palm Springs heat scare you away. The whole restaurant has such a sexy, colorful, candlelit vibe that somehow feels both lively and intimate. We kept the drinks simple and ordered Hugo Spritzes, which were refreshing and perfectly made for a hot afternoon. What we ordered: * Caramelized Onion Tart (Puff pastry, chive, Comté) - This was recommended by our server and I can see why. It reminded me of French onion soup wrapped in a flaky puff pastry. Rich, savory, and definitely shareable since it is a bit on the heavier side. * Red Thai Curry Mussels (PEI mussels, ginger, garlic, lemongrass, red chile, coconut milk) - WOW. This was hands down my favorite dish. The broth was incredible, rich and packed with flavor without feeling too heavy. I was worried the lemongrass might overpower everything, but it was perfectly balanced. It comes with toasted bread and trust me, you'll want every last drop of that broth. I'd honestly come back just for this dish. * Steak Frites - The steak was cooked perfectly medium and was delicious. The fries were crispy and seasoned well, making it a classic done right. * Broccolini - Simple but really good with a nice char that added great flavor. Overall, we had a great experience. The atmosphere is one of the best parts..beautiful, moody, and full of personality..but the food absolutely held its own. Service was friendly, the patio was comfortable, and now I completely understand why it's one of Palm Springs' hardest reservations to get. Definitely a spot I'd come back to.
