Zinc is one of the many restaurants available in Old Town Orange. What sets it apart is the ambiance, daily-made bakery items, and menu offering largely vegetarian options. While I have not eaten their breakfast items, I've tried a few lunch/dinner items including sandwiches, burgers, salads, and pizza. My favorite item is the Chipotle Chicken Sandwich paired with truffle fries. I also enjoy their iced rosemary latte. Pro tip: Be sure to make a reservation if you plan on visiting during brunch time on the weekend. Outdoor seating is exclusively for reservations during that time.

Nice to see this old, had been vacant for a while building put to use. Service was nice, seated in outside area, not the courtyard but around the side. Fairly basic menu(not in a bad way) with the occasional twist. Food presentation and flavor were great, no complaint's. Solid brunch.

This cool restaurant is located in a historical building; it once housed the Sunkist Orange County Fruit Exchange. There is patio seating and a limited amount of interior seating. The interior is an interesting combo of retro and modern feel. We chose to sit inside and I immediately felt relaxed and comfortable here. We came for brunch on a Monday and were seated immediately. Our charming waitress was very friendly and offered excellent recommendations when trying to make decisions between various options. I decided on the Bacon Gruyere Omelet and an Arnold Palmer to drink. The omelet was made with 3 eggs, so was good-sized, wrapped around gruyere cheese, avocado, and applewood bacon. A slice of avocado, a piece of bacon, and a large dollop of sour cream sat on top. It was delicious! If you love gruyere cheese you will be happy with this. It came with a side and I chose potatoes. These big, mouth-watering chunks of fried potatoes had a fantastic seasoning. I normally never finish breakfast potatoes but every piece of these vanished. The Arnold Palmer was a bit weak in both lemon and tea flavor but was still enjoyable. This is definitely in my top places to eat in the Orange Circle area.

Just visited zinc cafe recently with my girlfriend and it was a very nice brunch spot. Very nice inside and the outside seating was also a very nice spot to enjoy the weather and the atmosphere outside. The salmon Benedict was very good and well worth the price and our server was very kind and help with the menu as it was our first time. I Forgot to take a photo of the New York cheesecake but that's was a 10/10 as well. They had a lot of options when it came to desserts or bake goods that I would wish to try later on.

I'm always going on long walks around downtown Orange and I've passed this cafe numerous times. I finally decided to stop by and I'm glad I did! They have great patio seating and everything on the menu sounded so good it was hard to make a decision. We ended up going with the Zinc Club sandwich with a cup of the soup of the day. It was delicious and very fresh the bacon and fresh tomatoes were the star but the soup of the day was actually really good. If I remember correctly it was called California harvest or something like that, it was hearty and flavorful. My wife got the Thai chicken salad and that was also a great choice. Super fresh and refreshing and the chicken was cooked perfectly. Service was good and the ambience was great. Especially the patio on a beautiful sunny California day! I'm looking forward to my next visit already :)

Came for brunch today and had a lovely time! Zinc is located in Old Town Orange about a block away from the main circle in the old fruit exchange building. There's a bunch of street parking around the area (mainly paid via Park Mobile), but it can get filled up depending on when you come. The restaurant is really cute with plenty of indoor and outdoor seating, and you can make reservations online so definitely take advantage of that. Service was good, the staff was super friendly and quick to seat us, however the wait time for our food was definitely on the longer side. That being said, all the food was totally worth the wait. Their Baja fish tacos were delicious, with the fish being fresh, crispy, and flavorful. The French toast was great as well, and the Middle Eastern breakfast being another standout. The food is on the pricier side, but for the vibes, quality, and flavor I'd say it was worth the treat. Definitely one of the better Zinc locations I've visited, and I will absolutely be back for brunch and dinner again. There's a lot to choose from in the Old Town Orange area, and Zinc is definitely up there on the list!

Highly recommend Never dining here. Upon checking in we shared we had a reservation and were asked to wait a bit. We were then offered a spot directly in the sun, and they refused to offer an umbrella, so we declined. We were then offered a micro table in the Bar...so we opted to wait longer for a suitable spot. Thirty minutes later, we met our server, Leo who accidentally placed our drink orders to a different table, and got our food order wrong. We never saw him again. Had to flag down other employees for ranch, water, and the bill. We all agreed the coffee and matcha were the worst we've ever had. The $22 lox bagel was laughable -- my friend could barely eat any of it -- and to top it off, we were charged for a drink that should've been comped. The curbside appeal of this place is pretty, but the experience is pretty ugly.

A local recommended this restaurant to us and we were very happy with the suggestion. It is a beautiful building with a very welcoming atmosphere and staff. Menu is simple but everything we tried was good. Loved their drinks and their bread pudding is good enough to return for more. Loved discovering this little gem in Old Town Orange

First of all it's a great location! It's in Old Town Orange so you can walk around after enjoying a brunch. The restaurant also has a great aesthetic! Defines recommend sitting outside when it's sunny; inside seating is nice- it's warm and cozy! For parking, you usually just street park. I went on a Saturday morning and there were still lots of street parking. Inside the restaurant is like a bakery, they have pastries and sweets that you can also order or take togo. The food was enjoyable! I really liked the Zinc benedict and recommend you try it if you try this cafe. It tastes fresh and the benedict was made nicely! The Zinc sandwich was fine (nothing great but not bad). The bread was a bit harder but the meat inside tasted good! My favorite was actually the fries! They are thinly sliced and seasoned perfectly. It's crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside. We also ordered a Zinc sunrise and I really liked it! The peach taste in it was sweet and I recommend this drink (it is nonalcoholic). We were seated quickly but the service was a bit slow, so if you are solo dining or looking for a quick brunch, it might not be for you. However, if you are going with friends and aren't in a rush, you could definitely stop by!

I love this place and 100% recommend. The rosemary latte is always so good and the Middle Eastern Breakfast is my favorite. I've only ever been for brunch, but it hits every time. Sitting outside here is peaceful, too.

I've dined here twice for brunch with my husband and three year-old daughter and both times we had a blast. We always elect to sit inside, but they do have a pretty nice outdoor patio when the weather is pleasant. My absolute favorite things here are the super crispy double fried truffle fries and their bacon onion white pizza. Highly recommend! Other honorable mentions are the zinc Benedict and French toast. They also make really great salads. High chairs are available for the little ones. If you're looking for a cute little place to have brunch, look no further. zinc café is the perfect place for that!

Had such a great experience at Zinc! Loved everything from the building to decor to the food and the mimosa flight. It was great! Open daily from 7am-9pm this is situated of the Orange Circle. We ordered the eggs Benedict, chilaquiles and the asparagus and mushroom omelet and split them amongst 3. We were all excited at how flavorful everything was. Our server was so nice. Derick came over and pooped our cork and pour us our champagne. They use Bianchi brand which is so smooth, bubbly and tasty. Will definitely be back. Pricing is a little higher then other places. Definitely a must if you are in the area. Can't wait to go back and try their Dinner menu.

    Zinc Tiramisu
    Innas I.

I've ordered twice for pick up now. It's slowly becoming one of my favorite carry-outs. Their menu has a large range of items to choose from. Today, I fell in love with the tiramisu. The fact I was also able to order it with a burger and pizza. The burger is good, personally the truffle mushroom burger had a little too much mushroom for me, so I recommend the regular cheeseburger. The only downside here, you're gonna have to hunt for parking. But otherwise, it's been a tasty, convenient dinner option so far.

Both exterior and interior look like a 1930s train station. We sat in a booth and enjoyed great food and quintessential service. I ordered the Irish French Toast. This was in the top tier of French Toasts I've ever had. The thick, battered Texas Toast had a delicate interior with a bit of powdered sugar on top. The two large pieces were surrounded by banana slices. The syrup was a house-made Jameson Irish Whiskey Sauce. Incredible. I was in breakfast nirvana from the first bite. This dish came with a side of eggs and choice of meat (I went with scrambled eggs and bacon), both of which were excellent tho nothing fancy. I also swiped a beignet from my dining companion's plate. The bread was soft, the cranberry sauce delicious and the skinny fries came out hot & crisp. The sandwich was big I only ate half and took the rest home but I finished every last fry! They always do a great job with decorating when they have a new theme in effect, and the Great Gatsby décor is no exception. The room is filled with lots of gold streamers, hanging gold light fixtures, art deco artwork, Roman columns, etc. Reservations are highly recommended. We checked in at the host stand with Emma who was very friendly. She seated us immediately at the bar as requested. We enjoy talking with the bartenders and watching them make drinks. Ruben was our bartender and he was excellent in all aspects. I started out with Between the Sheets from the Gatsby menu (rum, cognac, orange, lemon, $18). Rum and cognac is a great combo. This cocktail is spirit forward and well balanced. She started out with a Bartender's Reserve (you call the spirit and flavor profile, and the bartender crafts something special for you, $20). She gave parameters of no hard liquors like whiskey or cognac, not sweet, and not refreshing (i.e. no cucumber). Ruben made the most amazing gin based cocktail. Some of the ingredients he mentioned were plum, passion fruit, pineapple, lime, and a bit of chartreuse and soda. It was complex and perfectly balanced, with great flavors. We have been here many times, and he even served it in a unique tiki mug that we've never seen here before. Now it was my turn to put Ruben to the test. I also wanted a Bartender's Reserve, and I told him to use any spirit as long as the drink focuses on banana or apricot flavor. He went to work, and after a short time a beautiful frosted glass was served to me. I forget all of the ingredients he mentioned, but it was rye based with banana liqueur, a small foam top, and fresh shaved cinnamon on top. The banana was perfectly present with the rye at a nice level. This was a home run all the way. Of course, she wanted another magical creation, and Ruben went to work yet once again. She was served a beautiful yellow cocktail, and he even hand cut a little lemon fish garnish. It was mezcal based with yuzu, elderflower, mango, and lime. It was perfectly balanced, the smoke was at the perfect level, and again it had a great mix of flavors. There was some left over, and he even gave that to her in a chilled side bottle with its own baby's breath flower garnish. It's so fun to watch their bartenders create something from scratch, grabbing various bottles, mixing, tasting, adjusting, and then garnishing and serving. In addition to Ruben's delicious creations tonight, Adrian and Sergio have also made us delicious custom crafted cocktails on several occasions. We will definitely be returning soon for some of their new upcoming themes.

After our party of six chatted over cocktails and preyed on pupus, we moved to a "secret" room tucked in the back of Stowaway and walked into a Belly Of The Beast. The founders and co-owners of Stowaway, Leonard Chan and Dominic Iapello, created this extension to the tiki bar with a wildly interesting Pinocchio theme and the famed encounter with Monstro the whale all the while serving the same offerings in Stowaway but with also an exclusive limited menu just for this adventure. With its proximity to Disneyland and its Enchanted Tiki Room, with the very niche underground-like society of tiki culture they found a consistent customer base and the thrill of island escapism through colorful cocktails, pleasurable pupus, tropical trimmings, and nostalgic know-how. How would my belly handle the beastly drinks concocted here!? PURCHASE(S) Gepetto's Last Words ($16.00): Intrigued by the cocktail's name, this elixir was crafted with Fid Street Gin, tangerine, creme de violette, lemon, and cucumber, it was a citrusy refreshing sweet drink that was decorated with bright yellow petals. It was nice, but for whatever reason it just didn't quite hit the spot. [ONION RINGS/STRAWS/STRINGS ALERT - 4.0 of 5.0 STARS] Onion Rings ($9.00): A decent portion with rings of medium to large sizes, these were hot, dark golden browned, crunchy, and had a slight tendency to crumble when bitten into while the onion ring (sweet Maui!) rarely pulled out at times. Once inside and situated, we had the place and bartender to ourselves. After we all perused the menu, we placed our orders, and everything arrived within ten minutes. There were several marionettes (appropriate and non-appropriate) that hung from the ceiling and belly walls, along with other Disneyesque memorabilia, a few sitting booths, and a tiny bar at the end of the roo. No natural lighting whatsoever while an assortment of extremely low-lit electric lights and table candles glowed. There were no TVs while I couldn't recall any background music. ATTIRE Although I was actually dressed appropriately for the occasion in an aloha shirt, linen pants, and flip-flops, this place was totally casual, so a t-shirt, boardshorts, and flip-flops would suffice. OVERALL Belly Of The Beast was an adventurous fun evening with friends, it left me feeling childlike with the need to watch "Pinocchio", and I couldn't wait to return to try more of their awesome-soundling elixirs. I generally loved all-things Disneyana, and this new wrinkle, albeit probably not approved by the mouse ears brass, caught my fancy. My one drink was tasty but just didn't hit the right spot, the onion rings were very good, the prices were a tad elevated, the atmosphere was awesome, and the service was friendly and professional. They had an extremely limited menu, and there was some doubt whether or not ordering from the Stowaway menu was an option. Plus, I always preferred to support small local mom & pop businesses. I found very good value based on the prices, service, and experience noted above (TOTAL paid experience was around $27.00 BEFORE any discounts and/or tip). And, they accepted my credit card of choice... AMEX! 4.0 STARS
