The food was great and so was the service. The espresso martinis were delicious so it's a great stop if you want to avoid the crowds at the pier.

Great place for a nice and light lunch or brunch! Victoria our server was amazing! Very attentive! Highly recommend

Okay, I had no idea they had a bottomless mimosas option here, I will definitely be coming back for that at some point, haha. Great ambiance, delicious food, and fast service, plus live music (only Thursday nights & Sundays for brunch), Zinc @ Shade in Manhattan Beach has it all! A five-star experience all around, I was pleasantly surprised from our friendly server (Jenna?) to Hugo, who playing live music while we were there. We didn't mention it, but it was actually a birthday brunch and it felt so perfect! I can't wait to come back here again and try the white pizza (apparently it's very popular), as well as many of the other delicious items they offer. Also, It's super convenient that there's a parking structure below that you can park at that's relatively cheap. Food: 4.5/5 Service: 4.5/5 Ambiance: 5/5 Value: 4.5/5 Overall: 4.75/5

The staff here is so amazing! They were so friendly and made sure we were enjoying our time (without being overbearing). We came for happy hour and had no regrets. It's just a good deal for a majority of the plates we got. We got the spicy tuna, the empanadas, the grilled pear and burrata, and the filet bites. We got the spicy tuna because everyone else around was. It was pretty average, I would say maybe skip it and get another app. The empanadas came out hot! The chicken was seasoned perfectly and the portion of bread to meat was . The pear and burrata was refreshing and the perfect medium in between the filet bites and the empanadas. The filet bites were our favorite. We couldn't believe this was on the happy hour and if we didn't have the tuna, we would have ordered another! The restaurant had a live band that day and the weather was sunny and not cold too. Everything was essentially perfect

My friends and I came here for breakfast/brunch before going to the beach. It's about a 5 minute walk from the beach and the perfect vibe. Our server, Victor, was great, he recommended we get a bottle or prosecco if we didn't want bottomless mimosas and it ended up being the perfect amount for us. The food was amazing and we tried the peach and guava mimosas, which were also really good. I would definitely come back!

As much as I liked the vibes here and sitting in front of a fire, the food we had was surprisingly mid and rather overpriced for the quality and taste. We came for DineLA and only one other table was occupied - at dinnertime on a summer Friday. :( Yes, it's a hotel restaurant, but I checked reviews beforehand and had high hopes. Unfortunately, we did not enjoy the meal. We tried the Steak Frites, Shrimp & Grits, and Spicy Tuna on Crispy Rice - all pretty, but just did not taste as good as it should have. This was for DineLA, but these items are also on their regular menu. The sorbet and the NY cheesecake, though, were highlights. I would come back just to enjoy the sorbet in front of a fire. Service was a bit slow and we were left to ourselves for most of the meal, which was fine. Parking is available in a nearby garage, be sure to pay the meter.

Cute restaurant at a local hotel tucked away in the corner. Nice patio seating with light breeze. Pup friendly. Had the blackened fish tacos and Mexican Cesar salad with salmon. Delicious and fresh. Would definitely order again but also may many other good menu options Portion was filling and reasonable for cost.

Great brunch/lunch spot! I had reservations on a Sunday morning, and we were seated pretty fast. We were seated outside since the weather was nice and it was a cute vibe. My friend and I ordered the Crispy Tuna Rice and Zinc Burger. Both were delicious and packed with bold flavors. Overall, great place for brunch with friends!

The patio is a nice place for happy hour. Seating is available indoors next to the bar and hotel check-in desk. Lighting is on the dark side during the day. Kids can play in the outdoor mall's courtyard Convenient location downtown MB.

My girls and I went here for brunch and it was really good! I was able to get a reservation for 8 and we were sat right away. The service was great and the waiters constantly would check on us and make sure we were okay :) The food overall was excellent- my steak was perfectly medium rare and the eggs were not overcooked. Only thing is that parking is either street or paid parking. Otherwise, this is a great place to get brunch!

Their bluefin tuna was really good too and they also offered to make it GF for people in our party. Their yellowtail crudo was a bit too fishy for us. Their octopus was really great as well! For entrees, I tried the salmon and the short rib. The salmon was cooked well, but a really small portion for the price. The veg with it was a bit too acidic for me. My wife and I recently visited Los Angeles to celebrate our 15th wedding anniversary and a major…read morebirthday milestone, and we were fortunate enough to discover Fishing With Dynamite. We had heard wonderful things about the restaurant, and after our experience, I can honestly say it exceeded every expectation. Because of our travel schedule, our only opportunity to visit was during lunch on the same day we had to catch a flight home across the country. From the moment we made our reservation to the moment we walked out the door, everything about our experience was exceptional. The restaurant itself is beautiful, with a wonderful corner location and a warm, inviting atmosphere. The service was terrific, and the food was outstanding. The four of us ordered a variety of dishes to share, and everything was incredibly fresh, beautifully presented, and absolutely delicious. Each dish felt thoughtfully prepared, and there was something special about being able to enjoy such a memorable meal together on an important day for our family. But what truly sets Fishing With Dynamite apart isn't just the food or the atmosphere -- it's the people. Every interaction we had with the staff was wonderful. From making the reservation, to our waitress who took such great care of us, to the servers who brought our food and drinks, everyone was friendly, attentive, welcoming, and genuinely seemed to care about making sure we had a great experience. And then something happened that took that feeling to an entirely different level. After we finished our meal, I accidentally left a small bag at the restaurant as we headed to the airport. I didn't realize it until we were already at LAX, sitting at the gate and preparing to board our flight home. My heart sank when I realized what had happened. The items inside -- AirPods, Beats headphones, an external battery pack, an expensive pair of sunglasses, and other things -- were replaceable, but a few of them were gifts and had sentimental value to me. Given that we were already at the airport, I had pretty much accepted that I would never see the bag again. My wife contacted Fishing With Dynamite, explained what had happened, and the staff immediately went to work trying to help. We were put back in touch with the waitress who had served us, and incredibly, she remembered us and was able to locate the bag. We offered to pay for shipping and for the inconvenience of someone having to take the package to the post office. Instead, later that day, the general manager reached out to us personally and assured us that they would be happy to ship everything back to us promptly -- and, even more incredibly, they wouldn't accept a penny from us for doing it. That gesture meant far more to me than simply getting my belongings back. In a world where customer service can sometimes feel transactional, the people at Fishing With Dynamite reminded me that there are still genuinely caring people who are willing to go out of their way to help someone simply because it's the right thing to do. We went to Fishing With Dynamite expecting a great lunch. We left with an incredible meal, wonderful memories from our anniversary trip, and an experience with a group of people that I will genuinely never forget. The food is fantastic. The restaurant is beautiful. The service is excellent. But most importantly, the people who work here truly care about their customers, and they proved it by going far beyond what anyone could reasonably expect.
