Summer salad
Holmes B.

Talk about a superior and extraordinary dining experience. I can't believe how's just tucked away and you'd literally miss it. I guess it makes it a hidden gem and those never ever disappoint. Needless to say, the service is unmatched here from the moment you walk in. Started with a white wine, these are the dishes I opted for...summer salad, scallop crudo, koshihikari rice, black grouper and parfait. Need I say, everything single dish was a 10/10. Summer salad was perfectly balanced between the plums, nectarines and avocado and a little spice from the agua diablo. An explosion of flavors in every bite. The scallop crudo was like nothing I've ever tasted...perfectly cooked scallop with a little kick. The grouper was the star of the show...just perfection. The rice was a pleasant surprise of flavors that took shocked my palate a little but in the best way. Ended the meal with a very delicious rich parfait that wasn't overly sweet. I see why they're Michelin starred and it didn't disappoint, NOT ONE BIT. Space is underwhelming though. Not really romantic or cozy or aesthetically pleasing and very small but the food was without a doubt...PHENOMENAL, and that's all that really matters at the end.

I've been to Zitz Sum twice, and both times have been amazing. I like that they're always changing their menu because each time felt like a different experience. We started off with the bing bread which comes with a delicious butter with furikake. We also ordered the steak tartare. It was topped with carrots and I believe had some type of oats/granola inside. It all meshed together so well. For our main we ordered both the wontons and dumplings. We also ordered the cod fish which was one of my favorite dishes of the night. I'm not a fish lover, and this has convinced me to try more fish dishes. For dessert, we ordered the French toast. I wish this dish was bigger because it's so good and I don't want to share! I love the peanut butter and peanuts with the ice cream. Best dessert I've had in Miami!

Went there after a friend recommended the place. We ordered the 8 course tasting menu. The restaurant is asian inspired, it felt like a fusion of asian and french cuisine which is a combo i didnt expect. Some dishes were outstanding other dishes were good. There wasn't a single dish that was bad but For 90+ $ i was hoping to get to try the steak or more proteinaceous dishes.

I remember coming to Zitz Sum when it was a pop up in this Gables space, and having it be a permanent location is a joy. Would highly suggest going in as tapas style and sharing with the table. We started with a bread and fruitcake butter, and wow what a stunning combination to start the night. We also had a hibachi with some dragon, fruit, seeds, and citrus, and what a bright vibrant bite ( say that three times fast). The dumplings were tender and cooked well with a salty umami broth that just added an extra layer of complexity to the bite. Every dish that came out was presented in a stunning manner with a layered flavor profile, and made every bite more exciting than the last. The service was divine and their recommendations are spot on!

- Their menu is tapas style, order a couple of items to share - Got the steak tartare, hokkaido scallop crudo, potato dumplings, bing bread, and a cheesecake - The bing bread was to die for. Highly recommended!! - Absolutely loved the dressing paired with the scallops - Every dish was extremely flavourful and delicious - Service was wonderful - The ambience inside is dark and lounge-vibey for dinner - Can't wait to go back soon

Service was phenomenal. Location was a little hard to find if you've never been before. Go through the FIFA store. Food was excellent. Dark lit cozy spot. Expensive but it's good for a special occasion! Tasting menu is worth every bite!

After coming here a few times I have to say that this week was probably the most disappointing of all others. As soon as we walked in you could feel like the extraction system in the kitchen was not working properly. The restaurant had lots of smoke in the dining room area and at the end we left smelling like the kitchen. After seating, we were greeted nicely and our waiter was super friendly and attentive. They brought us our seasonal menu and July to me, has been the weakest of our visits here. We had wonton in brodo, scallops crudo, a rice dish and the snapper. The wonton was a bit tough, not very delicate, and the brodo... hardly any. The scallops crudo were very nice and super flavorful. (Probably the one good dish we had). The rice as it was called was more of a corn and bean dish than rice... also it had something that was rather sour to taste, that simply didn't work with that dish. The snapper was okay tasty dish but nothing memorable. My POV is, when I come to these restaurants that have may have a Michelin recommendation or have that hype ... my expectation is to leave with at least one or two dishes that I would say, "I would come back just to have that again". Something that I want to tell a friend and say you have to go there and try it. Aside from the extraordinary presentation and great service...I didn't feel that at all at Zitz Sum.

Zitz Sum is the sister restaurant to Dojo Izakaya. Having just tried Dojo, we wanted to try this spot immediately. The service makes you feel at home. Our server was great. The menu frequently changes, so the items we had will likely be gone soon, but definitely get the bing bread, which seems to be a permanent fixture on the menu. We also had potato dumplings, which were like gnudi, along with red snapper and farrotto. Shockingly, the cabbage was my favorite thing on the menu. If you're lucky enough to be able to order it, you must.

Everything we tasted was unique and super tasty! It's a tapas restaurant so expect small portions, lots of sharing, and a pretty big bill. The restaurant is hidden in an office building but was super cute inside. I loved the fish and loved the potato dumplings! The salad was tiny tiny but the dressing was delicious. I also loved the bing bread it was so warm and the miso dipping sauce was really great. They brought around for glasses of champagne for the table because we told them it was a birthday

Many things to like about this place, great service, amazing food, cozy atmosphere. We came here on our anniversary and were presented with 2 glasses of champagne on the house, which was sweet of them. This is sort of tapas sharing place so we ordered a bunch, I recommend 4-5 dishes for 2 people. Their bread is a must order for sure, from the rest of the dishes the rice was very interesting, so much lemon zest but not for everyone. The trout was delicious as well. One minor thing that was bothering us was the smoke coming from the kitchen, it was uncomfortable at times but not enough to spoil the experience.

Came to Zitz Sum for the first time with friends two weeks ago. Their menu is currently focused on spring, and it was so good that I had to come back with my husband for date night. At this point, I've pretty much tried the whole menu--and I can confidently say there's nothing I didn't like. Of course, there are a few standouts you must try: the Bing Bread, Wonton in Brodo, Steak Tartare, the Bass, and that Carolina Gold Rice (it's unreal). Every dish is beautifully balanced--flavorful, creative, and just really well-executed. They also offer a tasting menu with a wine pairing option, which is such a nice touch if you want the full experience. We opted for à la carte this time, but I'm already planning to come back just to do the tasting menu. It's a great way to explore their seasonal concept and try dishes you might not have ordered otherwise--especially when paired with curated wines or sake. Speaking of drinks, their beverage program is super creative. They don't have a full bar (just wine and sake), but the cocktails they craft from that are really impressive. Thoughtful, fresh, and perfectly paired with the food. Service was outstanding. We ordered a bottle of wine, and I don't think our glasses went more than two minutes without being topped off. The whole experience just felt thoughtful and polished, without being stuffy. We'll definitely be back next season--I'm already excited to see what the new menu will bring.

The food was delicious but removed 2 stars from the review section because the difference in portions from this year in comparison to 2 years ago is ridiculous for the tasting menu felt more like Miami spice except paying full price. The service and staff are awesome and the food is delicious but I did leave hungry. The restaurant is beautiful and romantic vibe. I recommend if you are planning to continue to go out afterwards for additional bites.

What can I say about this restaurant other than I completely understand why this is a Michelin restaurant. This was a party experience in your mouth of the most delicious food ever. The service was 10 out of 10, they explain the whole process and how the menu works. The ambience was so romantic and fenomenal I would definitely recommend this place as a date.

Instead, we were sat at the smallest bar seating, which was completely inappropriate and not romantic at all for an occasion like Valentine's Day. As soon as we sat down, I politely asked if we could be moved. The manager then told me that I had booked bar seating, which is simply not true. Why would anyone reserve bar seating a month in advance for Valentine's Day? I checked my reservation confirmation myself and it never stated that, and I even tried making another reservation to verify ..bar seating wasn't even an option. He told us he would "see what he could do," and we were left waiting at the bar with no water, no menus, no service, and no communication whatsoever. Meanwhile, we watched multiple couples get seated at proper tables back-to-back. At one point, we even overheard another couple say their reservation was at the same time as ours, and they were seated at a table immediately. When I tried to politely ask for an update, the manager or owner completely ignored me. No acknowledgment, no apology, nothing. I was honestly in shock at how disrespectful and dismissive they were. We ended up getting up and leaving because of how uncomfortable and disrespected we felt. Valentine's Day is supposed to be special, and this restaurant completely ruined that experience.

As others have stated, Magie is good in concept and we'll likely return here, but with just a bit…read moremore effort on their part this wine bar could be so much better IMO. Unlike some other reviewers that scoffed at the prices of the wine, that didn't bother me so much. We had a bottle here that cost $55 and it retails for about $28; I was OK with that, as all restaurants and wine bars have a markup above retail, and even when you go to spots like Happy Wine or El Carajo and pick out a bottle to drink while in their shop, they charge a corkage fee for that. What I did have a problem with is that, after the "service charge" and other fees were added on, our $55 bottle rang up to more than $73 in total, which was ludicrous. When we first arrived at Magie we were met by a young guy who pointed out the bottles and where the various charcuterie items are located in the coolers, and we were then pretty much left on our own. We really just wanted a glass of wine each, but unlike places like Vinoteca, here at Magie they had a very limited selection of wines by the glass, and the ones available all seemed to come in single-serve cans. We picked out a bottle to share, went to the register, paid and the guy opened it and handed us 2 glasses. When I returned to get napkins, the guy just motioned to where the napkins were so I could grab my own (after moving a delivery cart out of the way by myself so I could reach them). Again, though this place includes an automatic "service charge", we received zero actual "service" unless one considers the 45 seconds it takes to uncork our bottle and charge us for the purchase. We had a seat, had a glass of wine each and then re-corked our bottle of wine and took it with us. Overall I think Magie is a great concept with lots of potential. The inside seating area is interestingly decorated and outfitted with lots of eclectic furniture and items on the walls, and the relatively large patio seating out front with tables for 2 to 8 people is shielded from the adjacent street/traffic and shaded by lots of trees and greenery. The ambiance overall is really very nice. The service, however, was non-existent, especially considering the automatic charge for that, and while prices of at least some wines aren't terribly out of line, the fact that all the service charges, taxes and fees added $20 to the cost of our bottle was a bit of a shocker. Magie should consider adding more wines by the glass IMO. Not just subpar quality single-serve cans, but decent wines, poured from a proper bottle with a topper that preserves the wine between pours like most every quality wine bar commonly offers. Lastly, while I don't think anyone expects linen napkins and white glove service, the paper plates and plastic cutlery customers are given to eat with are a bit off vs. what this place appears to be trying to be and the prices charged. The "F*ck Brunch" positioning statement on the back of the staffs' shirts was an interesting touch.

Another thing that they have is that you can pick different cheeses and meats and they will build you a charcuterie board. They sell bottles of wine, imported olive oils, lots of (mostly European) wines by the glass, and light bites like charcuterie, small pizzas and popcorn. We've come here a few times, our dog was welcome, staff were friendly and outgoing, offering us various tabletop games like tic-tac-toe to pass the time, and once we'd both ordered a few glasses of wine, they offered us complimentary popcorn - something they normally charge for. Wines on their "by the glass" menu average about $16 each, and most staff pour them behind the bar where they have a gauge to measure out each one.
