I went in the early afternoon, and the place was empty. That's not a terrible thing, as it is a weekday, and most people are at work. I ordered the 3 meat sampler and a side of potato salad. My meats were pulled pork, smoked sausage, and ribs. The pulled pork and smoked sausage were outstanding! The ribs were tough, and I didn't finish them. I like a Mayo-based potato salad, and this one was. However, it was pretty bland, so I'd probably get the baked beans if I were to go back. They serve Pepsi products, sweet and unsweetened tea. The sweet tea is good. I swear I saw in a review that they sold beer, which was one reason I was going to try out the place. I do appreciate a nice beer with my bbq. That being said, would I come back again? Yes. I just wouldn't get the ribs.

The young lady that took our order was very nice and did a great job explaining the menu. We really enjoyed the potato salad, the ribs were pretty good. We would say the pulled pork was average. The mustard bbq sauce was good. We say give them a try and see what you think. The restaurant vibe was nice.

Great bbq place in north Columbus. It's a small restaurant in a short strip mall in a nicer part of Columbus. The employees were friendly and inside clean. Just a few seats. Not an extensive menu, but a few solid options. Their $8 lunch special is a good deal for bbq, two sides and a drink. Highly recommend you give Zombie Pig a try if you're a fan of good bbq. Some of the best bbq I've ever had - the pulled pork was very juicy and had excellent flavor, even without sauce. But their spicy sauce is also really good, though not very spicy. They also have a sweet sauce and mustard-based, but I didn't try those. A customer there recommended their "fire water" bbq sauce. The employee gave me that "are you sure" look. Fire water is an appropriate name; only try it if you like REALLY spicy hot food or just have a death wish. Their Brunswick stew is also really good. The baked beans were pretty good too, though not at the level of the pork or stew. A little spicy bbq sauce added a nice flavor to the beans; adding some pulled pork was good also.

An interesting name that will grab your attention. The owner or manager was extra nice and came around and chatted with folks. He mentioned that there would be a brisket special the next day and to come by since it's a rare occasion. The hubs and I came here around 10 ish to 11 so we had beaten the lunch crowd on this nice Thursday. As it got closer to noon, more and more folks came in to either dine or to go their food. My pick of the sausage mac dog was so so. This was what you'd imagine: a hot dog with mac and cheese. Oh. There were pickles atop that made it more unique. As interesting as it sounded, the sausage was a rather burnt looking thing. The mac and cheese sort of just toppled atop making this a rather messy item to eat. Overall, it was a unique experience, but I think I should have chosen the other dog (zombie sausage). The side of mac was okay. It looked pretty cheesy, but it lacked the flavor and wowness. Perhaps salt would have done it some justice. I do give them props since it had a nice thick, cheesy texture. It was creamy, but wasn't flavorful. The brunswick stew side was so so. It was a small sampling where I felt was pretty watery. It was more of a soup than stew imo. Though the appearance looked like it was packed with ingredients and all sorts of goodness, the flavor was meek. The hubs' 3 meats plate was a nice sampling of the variety: smoked sausage, pull pork, and ribs. The sausage was the same as in my dog so it's still burnt looking with a slightly smokey taste. The pull pork had a slight sweetness to it that made it really distinctive. The ribs were good, but you can't really dislike ribs. It had a slightly burnt profile with a balanced ratio of meat and fat. All were overall pretty average BBQ items. This place is really a solid 3 1/2 stars for me, but my experience was a positive one so 4 stars it is.

Drove almost an hour and a half to try something new, to get out of the house and blow the steam off safely. Read that customers needed to wear masks to go in and was happy about that, and was in the mood for some bbq. We had pulled pork and the sausage as they had run out of ribs at 415pm. After we ordered, we get it at counter and went and sat at table. As we are eating , we see one of the staff members has mask off behind counter and wondered why he took it off. We expressly wanted to give a local company our business. It wasn't a bad experience, but was missing something. Maybe it's just the time we're in, idk.

Stew taste like vegetable soup and baked beans straight taste like they came out of a can. The meat was amazing though.

I was in the mood for BBQ and this place had great ratings! We're passing through town so I placed an order through GrubHub (convenient!). We ordered two pulled pork sandwiches and a 2 meat platter (ribs and smoked sausage). As well as potato salad, baked beans and Brunswick stew. First off, the pulled pork was very flavorful and moist. Don't worry about wondering if a sandwich will be enough food for you.... they PACK the meat on. I was pleasantly surprised. The bbq sauce was really good (we had spicy and sweet). Though I was really disappointed that we were not given pickles or onions (even paid extra for extra pickles). They make the sandwich! Am I right?! The potato salad was sour cream based, which I didn't realize until I tasted. I have a dairy allergy so I couldn't eat it. Hubby and I both agreed that it needed salt. The baked beans were SO incredibly sweet. Like sugar sweet. They needed salt. Or something to counterbalance the sweetness. The Brunswick stew is being saved for later, so I'm not sure how it is.

Got a massage around the corner (not the best massage. Me and my partner like deep tissue massages and it was far from that)...anyways, I saw Zombie Pig BBQ on a list of places to eat in Columbus. It was empty when we went so we were a little worried because going off Yelp reviews has been a hit or miss for eateries in Columbus. We ordered the four choice, if it's your first time go for the four choice because then you can try all four of their offered meats, smoked sausage, pulled pork, ribs and chicken. The employee said it would be enough for the two of us and I'm glad we listened bc it was a lot of food. Everything was melt in your mouth soft and so flavorful. The mac and cheese was tasty, just a bit soft (overcooked) for my personal taste, but maybe that's just how mac and cheese is done here bc every other place I've had mac and cheese in Columbus has been soft. Definitely gonna eat here again before we return home. read more

I passed by this place so often and had never stopped in. that was the mistake. this spot is quaint and has friendly staff. the pork is to die for as it should be with a name like Zombie. its hot, its juicy, its got an amazing flavor not just some Kraft bbq sauce smothering it. if you havent tried it yet, come here and feast. read more

My husband loves Bbq, but I am allergic to vinegar, so usually avoid it. We found the Zombie Pig late on a Saturday afternoon when the wait at other restaurants was too long. What a wonderful, delicious surprise! While not a fancy restaurant, the helpful staff went an extra mile to figure out what they could serve me that was vinegar free. My husband loved his smoked sausage and pulled pork dog, with potato salad. I got a loaded baked potato with melted cheese and a smoked sausage--both meals were cooked perfectly, with tender flavorful sausage. Eat your meal in or take out-- but do try the Zombie Pig! read more

Came here for lunch for the first time and man was that tasty! We had the brisket sandwich and the pulled pork sandwich with baked beans and chips. The meat was delicious and the BBQ sauce they add gives it a nice touch. The guys there are really nice. I'll definitely come back for more. read more

I heard good things about this place. Upon entering the ambiance was really unique and I liked it. The portion size for the price is AMAZING!! The pulled pork and pulled chicken were so good as were the sausages! The sides were excellent and tasted homemade. I highly recommend this place, the staff was very friendly as well. I tried Zombie Pig as my family was driving through Columbus. Let me be clear, I am a BBQ nut. I love it and have had phenomenal and subpar. Zombie Pig was OK. The ribs were a little tough and very fatty. The briscuit was not bad, not great though. The larger chunks were too dry, though nothing that couldnt be helped with sauce. The pulled pork was the same, alright, nothing to write home about. The chicken, however, was fantastic. Well seasoned and moist. I wished I ordered a double plate of the chicken. The sides are also alright. Aside from the shining star of the chicken the other bright spot was the kind and helpful staff. Overall, not bad BBQ but definitely not the best out there. read more

Absolutely perfect barbecue! The brisket is so tender! The Brunswick stew is deliciously homemade! The people are so kind! I will be back many more times! I love local eats! Best BBQ I've had in quite a while! We had the 4 meat sampler (more than enough for 2!) and a side of slaw & brunswick stew. The slaw was awesome, not sweet which I loved. Couldn't get enough of the Zombie Killer hot BBQ sauce! The owner came by to check on us and even offered samples of anything else on the menu. Definitely a must stop if your traveling through Columbus like we were! read more

Stopped in for lunch and had the 2 meat sampler (pork ribs and brisket). Service was friendly and quick but just found the BBQ to be a bit underwhelming. Brisket texture was similar to pot roast which may be due to the fact it was not sliced to order but stored in a warming pan and simmering in it's own juices. Anyway, not something I would order again. The ribs were better but still nothing special. It appears that this is a popular local spot and probably satisfies the lunch crowd. Next time I am in Columbus I'll give it another shot as I may have caught them on a bad day. read more

Finally made it in to try out the BBQ. I got the pulled pork sandwich and my son got the brisket. They really piled the meat up on both sandwiches. We both got the baked beans and they were delicious. The meat was moist and tender, lots of flavor. Just really good BBQ. I tried the zombie fire sauce before I knew what it was. Really good and spicy. I also liked the "hot" sauce on the tables, it was not as spicy, but really good flavor. The restaurant was full of happy customers, and everyone was getting messy and eating the BBQ. I would say this is one of the best BBQ places around. You definitely get your moneys worth in my opinion. I hope they will be around for a long, long time. read more

Came in this evening and it was dead at 7pm on a Saturday. Staff was friendly, place looked clean. Not a very big menu, order a pulled chicken sandwich with a side of pasta salad and my partner ordered a pulled pork sandwich which I liked way better than my chicken sandwich. Not a big fan of the chicken. Had a few fatty pieces and wasn't "pulled" but medium sized chunks. Pasta salad was great, was my favorite thing on my plate. Not a bad little spot. read more

This is one of those spots that when you eat their BBQ you'll never want any other. It is really hard to put into words the awesomeness of this place. One of the owners is from Cuba and they bring that flare to the BBQ. As of right now they are only open on Friday, Saturday and Sunday and get busy fast. As I write this it is 11:15 and the place is half full with a line of 8 people waiting to order. They offer 4 meats: pulled pork, pulled chicken, pulled brisket and ribs and all are amazing. They offer several sides with their flagship being the black beans and rice (this is worth the visit alone). Be warned it can get a little pricey but you can go cheaper by getting a sandwich. Place makes delicious bbq. I think it's the best in Columbus. I ordered the three meat platter and every bite was melt in your mouth delicious . The pulled pork and chicken are juicy and tender. I travel 4 states and whenever I travel to, or through like today, it's always a treat. On my list of Top 5 places. So, it goes without saying the pork is great, but only this place and DAS in Atlanta can make great brisket! Hands down the best BBQ I've ever had. The smoked flavor, the sweet sauce, the fresh sides, everything is incredibly delicious. Too tough of a decision between the pork or chicken, just go with the 2 meat and have leftovers to indulge in later. I've sampled the brisket and it's superb. The pasta salad is a favorite and I danced when they began offering mac n cheese everyday. The coleslaw is an interesting mix with a dill flavor, unique and tasty. Price is a great value, especially for the quality and quantity of the meals offered. Adding to the experience is the professionalism and respect of the staff, especially toward veterans and servicemembers. Beer and dessert are exceptional extras that I love to enjoy on my visits. Anywhere else just makes me miss Zombie Pig more, it's a favorite. read more

Food is decent priced. $5 for a pulled pork sandwich and a side. The sandwich was huge! They have 3 sauces and all of them are hot. We had the coleslaw and it was terrible. Cant speak for the other sides. For a quick, cheap grab and eat meal I would come again, if I was passing through. But not worth going out of your way for. read more

Omg Becky. This place is off the chain!!! Little hole in the wall with big flavor! My hot husband even got a second sandwich! I highly recommend this place. Visiting from California and wanted to try a non-chain restaurant with some hometown flavor. Zombie Pig BBQ was the perfect choice. My sister and I got the 4 meat sampler with a side of potatoe salad and stew. Delicious! The meat was flavorful and the sauce was unbelievable. Loved that the sauce is on the side with bottles at the table and you get 3 great choices. Honestly the meat was great even without the sauce! The owner (one of 3 and didn't get his name) was gracious and attentive. If I lived here I would definitely be back! read more

Just not impressed, it was expensive and not that flavorful. $2 bucks for a side of mac and cheese that looked like about 4 spoons full. Spent 35 bucks got alot of food but just not impressed. There are to many better places for barbecue in this town read more

Updating for a second visit - ribs had no sauce this time but seems like they are using an odd seasoning. The ribs and brisket were both very fatty. Brisket seemed more like pot roast than a smoked brisket, like it was left floating in liquid. The baked beans were straight out of a can with little seasoning, mac and cheese was not really hot and again no real prep, just noodles and can cheese sauce. Also when you order a plate it is just meat with no sides $12 for brisket and 2 sides was probably a little high considering the portion size and quality. Still have no idea why this place gets high ratings. Even Country's is better. read more

Cool name. Cool logo. Everything else was a disappointment. The brisket sandwich did look like roast beef as others stated. It is kept warm in a liquid at the front counter. It was not drained and by the time I got to the table the bottom of the bun was so soggy and disgusting I couldn't eat the sandwich. I had to cut it up with pieces of the top bun. The barbecue sauce did bring out the flavor of the brisket without the bun.My wife had the chicken and it was just plain chicken breast that was cooked somewhere near a smoker. No flavor. It could be so much more with so little effort. Properly drain the meat. Maybe even prep it in the back out of sight. Toast the bun. Offer it on Texas toast. Get a better potato salad recipe. Small changes that would make a huge difference to the presentation and flavor. read more

Fantastic service! This is by far the best BBQ in Columbus. Highly recommend to anyone trying to get a fast home cooked meal! As I said before we were blown away by the service. Definitely returning! Tried the four meat plate and everything was extremely delicious. Our son is a picky eater but he couldn't get enough of the chicken and beef. They had 3 type of BBQ sauces, the spicy BBQ is a must try. Above all, easy on the wallet. read more

Overall, meh. They have great sauces, but they don't pair well with the seasoning on the meat. Husband and I both tried the ribs and brisket. After a few bites, I had to stop. The brisket is dry and roast like while the ribs are tender. The ribs would definitely be better without the weird flavor added. Not worth the $ or hype in my opinion, unfortunately. read more

Was really craving for BBQ but I didn't want to wait long. This place is kind of like a grab-n-go. Everything is already made, they just prepare it for you. We had the pulled pork sandwich that my kids loved. I had the beef brisket, didn't enjoy it as much as I was expecting it to be. They are thick cut outs of beef that looked they were slow cooked to tenderness, not really a bbq style. Still, if I just needed a quick lunch, I would probably order their pulled pork sandwich. read more

The pulled pork and coleslaw at Zombie Pig are out of this world. The beans are pretty good, too. The brisket is good, but only if you want pot roast--that's what it tastes like. The ribs, well, those were just not good. They were tough and fatty. That said, the pork alone is worth a trip, but get there early! They only make a set amount, and once they run out, they close for the day. read more
