He talked me into doing the hydro jet cleaning, and I am glad he did. He unclogged the drain and then spent over 2 hours cleaning the drain pipe. He used a camera to show me the buildup of grease all along the drain. It is no wonder we kept having issues. Kyle was extremely thorough, friendly, and cleaned up everything when he was done. I got a few quotes to fix my leaky toilet, and I thought that Zoom Drain's free diagnosis and flat rate list of services sounded like the best bet. I called them up and to my surprise, they were able to come within the next couple of hours (at no additional charge). This was great for me because I was planning to go out of town a couple of days later. As promised, the technician came and took a look at the leak. He had a very relaxed, professional attitude and kindly answered all of the questions I had about toilets and plumbing. I even asked him to take a look at my other toilet, which had a very slow occasional leak, and discovered a hole in the toilet itself that I had never noticed! He presented me with the quote for a wax ring replacement, and I was impressed because it was actually the lowest I had seen. It is also notable that I didn't feel any weird pressure to accept the quote following the free inspection. After fooling around with an underpowered ill equipped rental rooter on my sewer line for 4 hours and unable to cut through the matted roots in my sewer line. I put out a request for quote and the very fist to respond was Zoom Drain. They called prior to and arrived in the time promised in a shiny new truck loaded with all the equipment necessary to go to war with a clogged sewer line. After a brief orientation of the situation, Billy Ray set to work. After about an hour and a half the thick root matting finally gave way and after view with a cable camera it was determined that a high powered water jet would finish the job. After a solid two hours...the job was done and I was greatly relieved. Now, while it appears I will only be the second customer to review, that by no means Zoom Drain isn't the outfit to call if you've got a clogged sewer line. They may be new to Yelp but they have been doing what they do collectively for many years. The owner was eager to help us out even though they had not ever been to a Sierra Foothill community for a service related call. There was no service charge to come out just to give consultation and a quote and as I said before, they arrived in a timely manner and got the job done. I highly recommend Zoom Drain. Called Zoom Drain to address a clogged kitchen sink and they were able to send a technician out same day. Tyler showed up diagnosed the problem and gave me a detailed explanation of the situation and the approach to solving the issue. During the snaking process he would use the camera hose to show me the progress inside the pipes and all the grease buildup that was causing the clog. Zoom Drain was absolutely amazing! I highly recommend them!!!! On Sunday late morning, our toilets backed up into the shower. Trouble shooting led us to believe there was a back up to the main. None of our local area plumbers were able to help on such short notice but one referred me to Zoom Drain knowing they were open on a Sunday, and he had good experiences with them. I called Tanner at 1 pm all his technicians were scheduled for the day and he offered me an appointment first thing Monday morning. Tanner was super pleasant and very helpful! He reviewed their pricing with me, which was fair and reasonable. Upon hearing that I couldn't be here during the week (due to work) and I was in a serious pickle, he said he would try to get me in later that evening if at all possible and would circle back with me at 4 pm in the hopes that his technicians might finish their last job early and he could send them over. Well that job took them to the end of the work day, but Kyle one of the amazing technicians still came out all the way to El Dorado County from Sacramento at 8 pm on a Sunday!!!! That right there deserves this recommendation but it gets better... Kyle was super helpful, pleasant and kind! He snaked the line for a very reasonable price and with camera inspection saw that the blockage had occurred because the coupling which joins the old cast iron pipes to the new abs pipes had failed causing the pipes to shift off center from each other thus causing the blockage. This was now a major concern for me as that meant any further flushing or water use would leak under my foundation. Thankfully I have a raised foundation, so in the dark, on a Sunday night Kyle crawled under my house to try and get to it. We tried several access points but it is an older house with remodels and additions which made it near impossible to get to the break. He helped me walk the house exterior, garage and interior as he located several other access points, but none that could get him direct access. It looked like all hope was lost for that evening as the access point he need had been closed off by the previous owner and I panicked that I would need to open up the floors. Kyle persisted, and with head lamp and determination found a way enter through a different access and squeeze through beams, mud and possible black widows and somehow was able to get into that tight fitting area to fix the coupling. Turns out the old owner connected the abs to the cast iron with the wrong fitting (they used copper to cast iron) and since the fit wasn't secure the coupling where the pipes meet shifted and failed. Kyle had the needed coupling in his work vehicle and was able to correctly join the pipes and secure them. He was incredibly kind, patient and helpful through the whole process and answered my many questions. He shared camera views so that as the homeowner I understood what was happening and let me know exactly where the pipe was in my house and took pictures for me of the repair. I profusely thanked him for all his help especially so late on a Sunday, and his response was simple, "I treat like my clients like I would want people to treat my family" I am super grateful to both Tanner and Kyle! I started to do my own toilet install, but the flange was not even with the floor in my 70 year old house. Kyle came out and worked some magic. He cut away at the old flange and installed a new secure flange even with the floor. He even threw in a new wax ring for my toilet and set the toilet in place where it was even and level. 70 year old pipes in old houses are not easy to deal with, but Kyle worked his butt off and got the job done. I have another bathroom with another 70-year-old toilet that I plan to change out, so I'll be calling Zoom Drain again to have Kyle come out and take care of it.
