Unlike the street BBQ, this restaurant's BBQ tastes much better than those in the street, especially their texture. I can taste that their meat is much fresher than others. I love the raw beef bbq the most. I used to eat a lot in China. But ever since I come to the US, couldn't find any place to eat this. Make me miss my hometown. Sometimes service is a little bit slow because the store is not that big. But service quality is pretty good. Waiter and waitress are very friendly. I definitely will come here very often. Recommend to you as well.

The 火勺 is really good! Taste exactly like the one I used to eat in my hometown Tieling. Very authetic. I also like their BBQ and cold dish a lot. Especially the raw shrimp. Spicy but taste so good. A very good choice to choose when you are planning to drink a beer. Sometimes they are busy and wait a little bit long. But the food worths the wait.

Delicious mini meat pies and an empty bowel beef broth soup

Awesome pies and Beijing noodles, this is a restaurant who's owner comes from Tieling which is a small town north of Shenyang which is itself five hours by bullet train east of Beijing. The food there is quite different from the normal food you can find it 99% of American Chinese restaurants as most food has been Americanized or is southern in origins. The food from the North of China is definitely better than the south, not as sweet but nice and spicy. It's a small place but really worth checking out food is really delicious.

Love their meat pie(火勺)and lamb soup ( other foods are about average). Poor hygiene and bad services are their biggest spotlight. Yes, they don't care about their consumers. Don't ever expect to receive an average service here cuz they don't have any here. They ignore you since the moment you step in the restaurant. Sometimes, you'd have to service yourself cuz they won't serve you any drink unless you ask.

If you are looking for a Northeastern Chinese BBQ place in Flushing then this is it. Unlike the streets BBQ, the food tastes authentic. I wouldn't say the meat is fresh though, but it doesn't taste bad. The flavors are very strong, exactly how I want them. The lamb soup is a must, it goes well with the BBQ. It might be a bit cheaper than the street BBQ, but they definitely have the better quality and taste.

I placed an order for BBQ Togo, they told me the total is $35. However, based on their menu my total is supposed to be $33. When I got there, try to figure out why is 35, the boss told me the menu is expired and now the lamp bbq is 2$ per skewer, I felt be ripped off. Even if 2$ for lamp bbq, the total is not $35. I have no idea how they come out the total. And their attitude was extremely rude because I questioned their calculation. They charged me at 1.5$ at the end and corrected the total to 33$, but they were very unhappy. So if you go there try buy something please make sure the price with them before you placed order and don't forget you can bargain because they rise the price without any notice. Second thing is the quality of BBQ is not as good as before, the chicken heart is extremely dry and not eatable at all. Finally and most important is the person who prepared the food didn't wear gloves or mask!!!!! I questioned why not wearing mask, especially in this pandemic period, the old lady said he is healthy ... I was like .... okay! Please stay away from this store ...if the hygiene of food is your concern!!!

    Very delicious!!!

The plating and beef boards they bring out are just fun to see. The experience is what you make of it - fresh juice drink options, tons of meat proteins and sides to choose from. I've been here twice and can tell the meat is very fresh and well prepared. I can't even name a favorite, just loved everything! The meat staircase is definitely something to try - so many cuts and good portion size. You get two to three pieces of each protein. It's a great value. In the lobby area, on display is an old Guzheng (Chinese harp) along with various cuts of premium wagyu meat. The place was well ventilated and was surprised that I didn't leave smelling like it. Service (5/5): This is a self-cook, manning your own meat establishment. The food comes out prepared on trays at fairly quick speed. Burners worked well and were changed out when burned. The burner seemed small but we were able to cook fast enough to keep everyone happy. Food (4/5): For 6 of us (4F & 2M), we ordered just the right amount of food: Meat Lover's Stair Combo, Beef combo, veggie platter, 2 rice. I'd say that all of the meat was super tender but nothing stood out too much. None of the meat was marinated except for 1 meat in the stair combo that turned out to be everyone's favorite. For all that food it was about $40/pp. A free small cup of Hershey's vanilla ice cream at the end of the meal. Overall, had a great time and good food!

There was a lot of energy in the place. The wait staff were friendly. Food was great but was pricey per skewer. Food 5/5: Delicious and tasted close to skewer cart (this is a win!). Would have loved to try more things but some skewers were up to $3 each so it got pricey fast. They did have a large selection of skewers to choose from. You get a wrist band with a QR code that tracks what skewers you order. Non-skewer items could be ordered using your phone. Everything was fresh. They had house-made spice and sauce packets at each table. Every table had a cheat sheet showing how long to barbecue each type of skewer. We tried the bbq scallops which were full of garlicky goodness and cold noodles which was a refreshing balance to the heat of the grill. Service 5/5: Friendly waiter. Gave us the run down on how things worked in the restaurant. Periodically checked in on us. No complaints. Ambiance 4/5: Prefacing that the high energy environment was not really my cup of tea but I know others may prefer it. Bright flashing lights and loud music playing over speakers drowned out conversation. That said, the tables were spaced well so every party had their own personal space and restaurant was clean.

The raffle did get me to eat more since my curiosity got the most of me and I wanted the chance to win! Who doesn't want the chance to win something and get to eat at the same time! I found out I have no patience to wait that long for my food to cook. Just watching the overpriced skewers go round and round and round, you seriously need to have a LOT of patience. Cool place to hang out with friends if you have time to just hang out and wait for your food to cook. The options were impressive enough but meat quality was not all there. The place was busy and popping when I went and there was a decently long wait. The location is interesting in that it's inside the flushing food court mall. I think kids would love this place because of the raffle which my goddaughter did end up winning a stuffed panda, but I don't know if I would want to go back again. It's self-serve and you had to wait for a cashier to ring in your items before you could go back to your table to start placing them on the grill. With the amount of food we had to cook, the two grills at each table were not enough. Or maybe I came with too many people... Customer service was good, but I can tell they were overwhelmed with the amount of people they were trying to serve at dinner time. We had to remind our server a few times and they would just tell us to order off the iPad. At one point, we had to have them explain to us how the whole thing worked, but we figured it out! It's a cool experience and I would say, you should try it at least once.

Wagyu Place BBQ is one of the more upscale all-you-can-eat Japanese barbecue restaurants in…read moreFlushing, specializing in premium wagyu beef, sushi, seafood, and table-side grilling. We walked into a modern interior with a lively atmosphere, the kind of space that works well for groups or special occasions. The dining room had a polished, energetic feel with the grills built into each table and the staff moving efficiently between stations. Unlike most AYCE barbecue spots, the focus here is on higher quality cuts of beef, and the staff regularly came by to help grill the meat, making the experience feel more polished than a typical buffet. The wagyu is the main reason to visit. We ordered a selection and found the meat well marbled, tender, and noticeably better than what you would typically find at standard Korean or Japanese barbecue buffets. Depending on the menu we chose, there was a wide selection of Australian, American, and Japanese wagyu, along with sushi, sashimi, seafood, and other side dishes. Every meal also began with a cheese lobster, which came out rich and creamy, a nice addition before the barbecue started. We appreciated that the portions were generous, so it was better to order gradually instead of trying to sample everything at once, and the variety across the menu gave us room to explore different cuts and preparations. The dessert selection ended up being one of the biggest surprises. Fresh fruit like pineapple and cantaloupe was exceptionally sweet, and the soft serve and other desserts were a refreshing way to finish such a heavy meal. It helped balance out all of the rich meats, making the meal feel more complete instead of ending on another savory course. Service was another standout. The staff frequently checked on the table, replaced grills when needed, and helped cook and cut the meat to ensure everything was prepared properly. Since the restaurant is popular, reservations are a good idea during peak dinner hours, though the experience ran smoothly once we were seated. The team moved through the room with efficiency, and the pacing of the meal kept the flow steady without feeling rushed. Overall, Wagyu Place BBQ is one of the stronger premium AYCE barbecue experiences in Flushing. The quality of the wagyu, attentive service, and wide variety of barbecue, sushi, seafood, and desserts help justify the higher price. It is more expensive than a typical barbecue buffet, but if you are looking for a higher-end all-you-can-eat experience centered around quality wagyu, it is worth considering.

They cook everything right in front of you, unlike kbbq places where you cook meat yourself. I also appreciated the good ventilation, we didn't smell like meat at all after leaving the restaurant! Additional notes: - we thought it was funny that they put sprinkles in the potato salad, it may seem kind of odd but definitely very Chinese (compliment btw) - it ended up being almost $50 pp for 4 people - we got lucky and didn't have to wait, but I hear there's usually a line, so definitely call ahead to suss out the wait
