Never would've known this place has a sit down restaurant if my friends didn't tell me. Thrown off by all the advertisement like lash and weight loss papers on the table as mats. Note: there'd be even more at the bathroom. But advertisings aside, I think the food was good and pretty damn good for it's price. Need to buy a minimum amount of skewers to be cooked in front of you, which automatically rotates the skewers!! I think the quality was pretty good. Just note that they aren't seasoned. They do give you a spice mixture with salt on the table separately, which I don't mind since it's more DIY. If you don't prefer this you can have them cook it in the kitchen. Also note that once the charcoal runs out they won't replace it for you. Wish they informed us that so we would've eaten a bit faster. Other food we got was the potato pancake that was surprisingly super chewy. The beef pot that flavor was really good but be careful since it splatters a bit. Overall, the food is good and so is the price but don't expect too much from service. It wasn't terrible service but not great neither.

This is an authentic northern China barbecue. If you order 20 or more skewers, you get to grill yourself and the experience is phenomenal. You could grill to exactly how you like. They have an auto skewer rotation mechanism so it's really easy. Remember to marinate the meat before since the food has only mild marination. The service is pretty quick, but there are kind of busy. The ambience is casual, a good place to go with friends.

This is what is on their menu which isn't even available!

Put in an order for pickup through GrubHub it was a combo of 5 meats on a stick so about 10 sticks for $16 not a bad price from their menu online....Anyway I put in the order and after about 15 mins they ACCEPT my order....it takes a little longer than they estimated 15-25 mins...I wait another 45 mins and finally they mark my order as complete! I show up to pick up my order the restaurant is empty, I approach the counter nobody greets me, they are just sitting down eating their lunch and staring at me like I have 2 heads...I just want to pick up my food and leave, finally someone pops out who speaks some English, and basically saying my order was not made! They saying I can't order 2 sticks of each meat and must order 10 sticks of each item instead which would like $90. I am like WTF, this was on your menu! After about 15 mins of arguing and back and forth he gets the manager/owner on the phone who offers to call the GrubHub to give me a refund which she never did. We had to call later to get refund. So why did you accept my order and mark it as complete ? You could have just cancelled the order. Kind of weird and shady on their part. They need to update their menu to what you can actually get. Not so much upset about the money but the wasting of my time; more than an hour. with all those nonsense. Bottom line avoid this place, is a waste of time and money....Plenty of other places in the area to try serving the same type of food .

Beside they have the best bbq skewers in the town, Good food. Reasonable price. Good service. Open late. Lots of indoor seating. Curbside pickup available. What else do you need?? Hands down the best local soul-food restaurant of 东北老乡们。

Good value and good amount of food! We ordered cooked skewers which served ready to eat. They tasted really good at the beginning, but were getting cold as we ate. Another option is to cook them on table. Service was just okay, as no one greeted us upon arrival and we waited a little bit to sit down even though the restaurant was half empty. However, I don't expect extraordinary service in Flushing anyway. I'll definitely come back for the skewers and the authentic northeast cuisine.

Warning to all with a pineapple allergy like me: do not eat the duck sauce. If you like spicy ask for hot mustard instead. Orange chicken was crispy and flavorful. I did not find it spicy, but my spice tolerance is very high. My fiance had the chicken with broccoli and it looked amazing. Try the cold noodles. They are chewy and delicious. For me the fried dumplings were good, but not great. Worth a try but nothing to rave over.

I ordered the cured pork with garlic shoots and dry fried green beans. The cured pork was quite salty, and paired well with the buttery, tender leeks it was cooked with. The dish was not overly oily, and was pleasant over white rice. I enjoyed the chewiness of the pork which allowed you to experience the complex flavor. The green beans were well fried, with characteristic texture signature to this dish. The seasoning was very well balanced and not overpowering to the natural sweetness of the green beans. I would recommend either dish. They were both slightly toned down iterations when compared to the times I've eaten these dishes at other Sichuan restaurants in flushing, but still well seasoned and well cooked. The service was very warm and friendly, and many other customers seemed to be returning regulars.

However, the delivery experience has been very uncomfortable. On my last order, I only had $13 left in my bank account and paid $11 for the food. When the delivery driver arrived, he immediately demanded a tip. I explained that I didn't have cash, but he insisted that I send him a tip through Zelle. He stood there and refused to leave until I did it. He literally watched me open my banking app, saw that I only had $2 left in my account, and still waited while I sent those last $2 as a tip. He even checked to make sure the payment went through before leaving. I want to be clear that I do tip when I can, because I understand that delivery drivers work hard. But sometimes money is tight and people are just trying to afford food. Being pressured and essentially forced to tip is extremely uncomfortable and unprofessional.

I got an order of scallion pancake that is somehow both over and under cooked and just filled with oil. I got a lunch special of chicken with broccoli in a garlic sauce. But when you don't have the luxury of a car and you don't want to pay 40 dollars on UberEats for good Chinese food, you'll be convinced to try your luck in the area. Not gonna lie, I chose Dumpling House because it was the closest Chinese food near me, but I was pleasantly surprised by what I found. The women who greeted me at the counter was friendly and took my order: one large hot and sour soup and a small house special fried rice. I wouldn't recommend coming on a hot day because the shop can be hot if you're waiting for takeout, but the wait wasn't too long. After about 15 to 20 minutes, I was walking home with $11 dollar takeout. The hot and sour soup is pretty good and I've had a lot of hot and sour soup in my life. The consistency is not too thin or thick and the flavor is balanced (not too sweet or sour). For 5 dollars, I think it's a steal. The house special rice is good and not too greasy. For some reason, it still tasted Americanized even with the Asian ingredients I was used to. There was some chicken, barbecue pork, mixed veggies, egg, etc. and the ingredients mixed well despite it tasting American. Even though I got a small rice, I still had some leftover to eat the next day. Despite my obviously biased Asian tastebuds, I was very happy with what I got and I will definitely be back for some more hot and sour soup!

When life is lackadaisical and you need an uplifting force or encouragement for catharsis to be resilient as an awakening, dumplings are summoned. As I sat in silence I checked my email waiting for my order fulfillment and arrival. This business is a local cafe, not quite a restaurant but very Asian specifically a medley of Chinese dumplings and heavy Japanese decor atmosphere. I was very bewildered of this dumpling business is Japanese or Chinese cuisine, or possibly both incorporated? Asian fusion? Japanese beckoning cat, maneki-neko 招き猫, is heavy presence for decor atmosphere throughout the entire cafe. There is one large Japanese beckoning cat with one paw raised in a beckoning gesture by the cash wrap register. This beckoning cat is adorable! The menu is very simple offerings but does not describe the contents in detail. It is not a extensive list as it is a cafe. The server/cashier advise to order first, sit to eat and pay last like a full service restaurant. This business has been listed in my Yelp bookmark to try for a long time. The slightly warm temperature has teased me to induce Spring Fever as the first full day post Daylight Saving Time, 2026 and I was outdoors for walk as exercise. Sauces and condiments are available at a station counter. There is one large TV. Background music is somewhat loud audible and sourced by Spotify. Customer service is average. There is one unisex facility on the premise and is relatively clean. There is a small parking lot in the front shared with neighboring businesses. This business is located in a small shopping complex named Metro Plaza. Chicken dumpling noodle soup, $12.00 The dumplings were pan seared fried, unfortunately not traditionally boiled especially for noodle soup. The dumplings are average. The noodles were rice vermicelli with half boiled egg and scallions in Japanese Tonkotsu Ramen soup base broth. The Japanese Tonkotsu Ramen soup base broth and half boiled egg is a replica of Japanese Ramen noodle soup. It was served piping hot. Chinese soup spoon Tangzhi ladle where the end is at a angle is provided with one disposable wooden chopstick as utensils. Jasmine Tea, cold $1.50 This was awful! It was one tea bag filled with ice. I did not taste the Jasmine aromatic flavor. Stay away from ordering any drink as Song Dumpling Cafe is good for dumplings. It is certainly no bubble tea business to obtain quality Chinese tea. After my MTA NYC Transit SBS Q52 bus ride, I walked from Woodhaven Boulevard moving east on Metropolitan Avenue to gain access.
