This is an authentic Chinese-Korean restaurant, and I was so surprised by how amazing it was. I'd walked past this stall multiple times, but I never knew how big of a seating area they had inside. The skewers are the best part - you get to grill them yourself in the middle of the table! It's so fun, and so delicious to eat them fresh. The lamb and beef skewers we had were both amazing. I walked by here many many times and never thought of trying this place. Until one night taking a walk after dinner and remember this place open 24/7. We were thinking of getting some skewers from the cart anyway so decided to give this place a try. We ordered several plates of skewers. Our flavor is the lamb, beef tendon, and beef intestines. The lamb isn't overly powered with the spices as you would find from the street cart. Their cumin seasoning blend isn't too spicy but you have the option to add more chili flakes. We had a great time to BBQ the skewers ourselves. Also the free side dishes complimented well with the skewers. The staff is very attentive. The Tangsuyuk was good, loved the rice flour batter they used to make it super crispy. The Cucumber yangjangpi was excellent - the flavor profile was on the spot, sour, sweet and bit spicy. Definitely recommend the two dishes for sure. The lamb skewers was decent, while it has the flavors, I wasn't blown away by it. This place is definitely for drinkers, lot of drink options and they are open 24x7. The dining area is lined up with booths, from the front to the back. Never would've known this place has a sit down restaurant if my friends didn't tell me. Thrown off by all the advertisement like lash and weight loss papers on the table as mats. Note: there'd be even more at the bathroom. But advertisings aside, I think the food was good and pretty damn good for it's price. Need to buy a minimum amount of skewers to be cooked in front of you, which automatically rotates the skewers!! I think the quality was pretty good. Just note that they aren't seasoned. They do give you a spice mixture with salt on the table separately, which I don't mind since it's more DIY. If you don't prefer this you can have them cook it in the kitchen. Also note that once the charcoal runs out they won't replace it for you. Wish they informed us that so we would've eaten a bit faster. Other food we got was the potato pancake that was surprisingly super chewy. The beef pot that flavor was really good but be careful since it splatters a bit. This is an authentic northern China barbecue. If you order 20 or more skewers, you get to grill yourself and the experience is phenomenal. You could grill to exactly how you like. They have an auto skewer rotation mechanism so it's really easy. Remember to marinate the meat before since the food has only mild marination. The service is pretty quick, but there are kind of busy. Put in an order for pickup through GrubHub it was a combo of 5 meats on a stick so about 10 sticks for $16 not a bad price from their menu online....Anyway I put in the order and after about 15 mins they ACCEPT my order....it takes a little longer than they estimated 15-25 mins...I wait another 45 mins and finally they mark my order as complete! I show up to pick up my order the restaurant is empty, I approach the counter nobody greets me, they are just sitting down eating their lunch and staring at me like I have 2 heads...I just want to pick up my food and leave, finally someone pops out who speaks some English, and basically saying my order was not made! They saying I can't order 2 sticks of each meat and must order 10 sticks of each item instead which would like $90. I am like WTF, this was on your menu! After about 15 mins of arguing and back and forth he gets the manager/owner on the phone who offers to call the GrubHub to give me a refund which she never did. We had to call later to get refund. So why did you accept my order and mark it as complete ? You could have just cancelled the order. Kind of weird and shady on their part. They need to update their menu to what you can actually get. Not so much upset about the money but the wasting of my time; more than an hour. with all those nonsense. Final bill came at $116 and was cash only, A lady came to pack up the food that we cannot finish because we ordered more than we can eat which you will think would be good for their business, but she seemed unhappy that she need to pack up the leftovers. When another guy came to collected my $140 cash, I ask for the change so I can leave tips. Without ask me or to see how much tips I will leave, at this point she decided to keep the $140 and told the guy don't bring the change right in front of me. Good value and good amount of food! We ordered cooked skewers which served ready to eat. They tasted really good at the beginning, but were getting cold as we ate. Another option is to cook them on table. Service was just okay, as no one greeted us upon arrival and we waited a little bit to sit down even though the restaurant was half empty. However, I don't expect extraordinary service in Flushing anyway. I'll definitely come back for the skewers and the authentic northeast cuisine. read more

TLDR: Avoid the guy who has his hair tied back in a short ponytail at all costs. Manners are nonexistent, speaks to you only if you ask a question, and will come back and demand a minimum 15% tip if you leave less for his horrible service. I hate to do this because I do enjoy the food. I first came here in 2021 and everything was great. Food was fantastic, people were nice. I brought my boyfriend who was visiting NYC for the first time tonight, in anticipation of the great experience I had before. It did not happen. I felt so bad that he had to go through this at a restaurant that I wanted to show him. We walked in through the plastic curtain, which a guy was standing just behind. He had longer hair tied back in a short ponytail. He looked at us and did nothing. I thought perhaps he wasn't an employee, and a woman seated us instead. However, the guy turned out to be our server. At first we thought he was mute. He didn't greet us, didn't say anything, just like when we saw him upon coming in. When he came to take our order, he simply nodded at me to begin. Ignored my boyfriend. I was a little taken aback at this behavior. I had thought this may have been because my boyfriend was Mexican (I am Chinese), but I at least expected him to ask me verbally what I wanted to order. I pushed it aside and ordered in Mandarin, hoping to earn some points and have him be nicer if he saw that I spoke the language properly. It did not happen. When he asked me to repeat an item I ordered, my first thought was "Oh, so he can speak." When I finished ordering, he just left without further acknowledgment. During our meal, we asked for soju and he brought a bottle before we even had the chance to name a flavor. When he came back with the bottle we asked for the fruit soju flavors. He named grape, and trailed off. Luckily that was what I wanted, but I would've thought he would have known at least one other flavor they had. He never came back to check on us. When he collected our check (my boyfriend who usually tips well left a little over 10% for the extreme rudeness and dismissive attitude) he made no secret of staring at how much we left him as he walked away. He turned back after seeing it and told us that the minimum gratuity was 15% and that we had left less than 10% (not true). Nowhere in that establishment did they have a sign saying that was the case. I wish we had just left before he collected it because it was really hard to justify leaving 15%, and this is coming from someone who works in food and beverage, understands what tips mean to servers, born and raised in Flushing who knows not to expect much service but at least a basic "hello" and "what can I get for you today". My boyfriend left the requisite 15% but was so upset by the encounter, as I was. In the moment we just wanted to get out of there, but looking back I regretted not speaking to the other server to ask for a manager and ask if the policy exists and explain the situation. I was so excited to come here again but after tonight, I'm really ashamed and embarrassed to have brought my boyfriend on his first trip here and have him, or honestly anyone, go through that. read more
