The place was clean, and employees were friendly & quick. But the food was really disappointing. The soup I ordered was the Crab & Corn Chowder. Several kernels of corn, no crab, and the broth wasn't rich like you would expect chowder to be. It was watery and rather salty. WTH? BOO....My fiancé were wanting to try something new so we came here. Friendly service at the counter at checkout and register. We were. Asked if we were dining in or needed it to go which we said will eat here. Halfway through our meal we looked at the clock and realized we were late to get back to work. I walked up to the counter and asked for a to go container of some sort and the cash register gal asked what I perceive to be a manager what to give me? Her hand was on the very to go pouch or bag that my sandwich would've fit on. Except he told her that we cannot be giving those away all the time. So instead we got one piece of butcher paper and a sticker to wrap up to very wet/moist sandwiches! I had to tear the paper in half and that sticker wouldn't even work because it was wax paper. Let me give you guys a hint you just lost two customers over a $.20 bag!!! We won't be back because there are DOZENS of soup and sandwich shops like you in town. FYI - if it's that big of a cost to your business, why not just offer a "to-go" type option instead of being petty over a bag.. Someone recommended this place in town and I must have ordered the wrong things! The half sandwich was on a pretty dry bread with no apparent choice for wheat. Got the tortilla soup which I was not impressed by. Maybe some of their other soups are good, but my mistake for not sampling the options before (which they offer and May bring me back if I'm in the mood for soup). There were three of us, I ordered a roasted vegetable wrap, which was ice cold. The dressing was tasteless and runny, and spilled out of the tortilla wrap in a steady stream. Seems like they would have at least warmed the wrap up. One of my party bought a container of seafood etoufee. She also asked for cup because the was going to eat part of it at the restaurant and take the rest home. The price was $16. She poured out her cupful and there was not one piece of seafood in it. When she asked the manager why, she was told, abruptly, they can't possibly guarantee how many pieces of seafood there would be in a serving. Seems like there should be some in each bite to call it "seafood". Otherwise, call it rice with a seafood flavored gravy. My other companion ordered the tomato basil soup, which he was allowed to taste before deciding, and was pleased. When we checked out, the cashier had a problem with making simple change. She said "I guess I need to brush up on my math". It was a Saturday around two with just a few tables with customers. We had to clean our own table for a place to sit, while staff stood around in the back. Service was ok, soup was ok, salad was ok, but my bread was moldy and my daughter's was stale. When I took the moldy bread back, he said it's "part of the multigrain." I said THAT is mold. It's green and fuzzy. He took the bread and threw it in the trash can as hard as he could. Absolutly amazing Lobster Bisque! Big pieces of Lobster through the entire cup. Really excited that they are opening one in Colorado Springs. I have two complaints about this grand junction branch. You need to bring along a pair of knee pads and safety. Clothing. 1. I lived in New England for 12 years. This place makes a lobster bisque that will have you scrounging for money in your car so you can get another pint. Holy crap on a cracker. The bisque is knee dropping. Don't eat it unless u are ready to go soft knees. 2. The sandwiches seem to designed to be dunked into all their soups. So be prepared for a short nap after you eat. They need to place some cots outside so u can sleep it off. Their soups are better than my own grandmother could make!!!!( sorry grandma!!!!) but the sandwiches and soups are excellent. This " ain't" no Jimmie Johns). It's more like the old Seinfeld episode where they found the soup nazis severely soup recipes. I've even bought and shipped their soup to my children and now that's all they ask for.
