Ancient grains bowl with chicken, chickpeas, and more.
    Nicole H.

I've only had the ancient grains bowl (with chicken, beans, corn, mushrooms, etc) and not the soup (which obviously is their speciality. I really liked it! It had a good flavor - I couldn't quite figure out what it was, but it was great. You can order off their website for pick-up and I did a build your own. I will say - it was $10 for chicken and several toppings...is it worth $10? Maybe. It did taste good. It did fill me up (but that doesn't take much). But while it had great options to add, it wasn't as much ingredients as I'd have thought with that price (comparing it to Bibimbap bowls). The bowl reminded me a bit of Core Life Eatery's bowls, and I mean that in a good way!

A maple bacon aioli ham sandwich, with "extra bacon and aioli" which I paid $2 for. There is less than a single strip's worth of bacon.

I've been eating Zoup for years, and my favorite sandwich was always the Maple Bacon Aioli Ham sandwich. I noticed over the years the sandwich not only got smaller, but had less on it. So I started ordering it with extra bacon, and extra aioli sauce (costs $2 for the bacon). Now I understand reducing portion sizes to cut down on cogs and what not, but I paid $2 for extra bacon, and this is what I got. Less than a strip's worth of what amounts to bacon bits, and almost no aioli. Literally 4 slices of ham total. Last time I give money to these scumbags.

Clam chowder in a bread bowl. $6.96 and worth it!

My first time here, wonderful food and super nice people running the place. You can definitely feel the family vibe here - it's very warm and welcoming. Cozy place in a shopping center with easy parking. I had the chicken lemon rice soup and a supreme bowl with gyro meat and a bunch of wonderful toppings! You decide whether you want a pita or a bowl, then you pick your protein, toppings and sauces, and any sides that you might like. If you still have room after your main course you can select from a number of delicious desserts. Everything is really super flavorful which I really appreciated. I can assure you the next time I'm in the area I will definitely stop here again. I recommend you give this place a try - I think you'll be very happy.

Hands down, the best coffee in Sylvania, no question. Expertly made, well banaced flavors, never…read moreoverly sweet, never bitter, burnt or weak. The Mediterranean Latte is my usual go-to, sweetened with honey (they offer other sugar substitutes as well!). It's like a warm hug. They always have several excellent seasonal flavors as well, so we try those every time. This winter, the Peppermint Mocha and the Cinnamon Latte are delightful. Everyone who works here is so friendly and helpful. They remember us even tho we are only here twice a year, and I find that very sweet. We have had their bowls as well, all of which were good quality. There are lots of protein, topping, and sauce choices. They have grab n go desserts and some side dish items in the cooler with the sodas (they have Coke *and* Pepsi products). This location is clean, bright and warm with a clean restroom (for customers only) and some outdoor tables to enjoy in the warmer months. We have been and will be back many many more times to come!

I think they understaffed for rush hours and often don't open their extra seating when it's needed. The wait staff has seemed frazzled enough times that I have been in there. Charlie's Restaurant - Maumee, OH Rating: 5/5…read more Charlie's in Maumee is one of those rare gems that captures the heart of a family-run spot and the soul of Mediterranean comfort food. Whether you're stopping in for breakfast, lunch, or dinner, this place hits the mark every time. Let's start with the menu--it's impressively broad, covering all the bases from classic American breakfasts to mouthwatering Mediterranean specialties like gyro platters. You'll find something for every palate and every time of day. Their breakfast is especially worth a shoutout: hearty, delicious, and at half off, it's one of the best deals in town! Service is warm and welcoming, just like you'd expect from a family-owned place. You can feel the love and pride that goes into every dish and every interaction. Prices are incredibly reasonable for the quality and quantity you get. Charlie's proves that great food doesn't have to come with a high price tag. Next time you're in Maumee, make Charlie's your go-to. It's the kind of place where memories are made, bellies are full, and hearts leave happier than they came in. Was it worth $11.29 for a small smoked turkey breast sandwich and mac & cheese meal? Honestly…read more.. no. I originally stopped in thinking this might be more of a coffee shop so I could grab a snack and coffee while pumping gas--kill two birds with one stone. From the outside--and even inside--it's aesthetically appealing and looks like a great spot. But the experience didn't quite match that first impression. The food itself didn't hit the mark in the taste factor--nothing terrible, just not memorable or worth the price in my opinion. That said, I'm open to trying other menu items because maybe I just didn't order the right thing. Customer service was pretty average--nothing to complain about, but nothing that stood out either. Overall, it didn't hit the mark this time, but I'd consider giving it another shot.

Been going here for years on and off, maybe ten visits total. All the Reynolds Road near Kroger…read morelocation. Been here recently/last year three times, which has a refreshed look compared to the past. They have a variety of options with hot deli style sandwiches as a base, but have soups/salads as well as calzones, pizza, and flatbreads. If you have a sweet tooth, Cinnabon products are available as well as cookies and brownies. Breakfast is also available with breakfast sandwiches, burritos and tacos. The food quality is pretty good and a nice option to standards like McDonald's and Arbys etc. Cost seems higher for what it is, but to be fair in the past year (2025-2026) prices seem to be soaring due to tariffs and other economic issues. Food quality is not bad, but not a stand out either. Soups seem to be one of the better options. Service seems so so for friendliness as well as speed. The environment is OK, again not a standout. New look but has an "Empty Sterile" nervous vibe. Overall, OK especially if you need a break from the standard fast food chains noting the prices for McDonald's and others has skyrocketed and service and over all experience has been on the decline, putting Schlotzskys well positioned for fast food. Managing my bias here as I almost never eat fast food unless there is a need such as short on time or thats all thats available. Go ahead, worth a try if you are in the market for fast food and tired of the typical places.
