I came with a party of 3 adults on a Monday night for dinner. Ambience is stellar, would definitely come here for business meeting, date night or celebratory dinner. Food was also excellent and service was prompt and efficient. Our food literally came out piping hot 5-10 mins after we ordered and bread was offered to us and served warm! Wish that bread had been offered a bit earlier like while we were having drinks / apps but nonetheless glad that it was offered. Loved my pappardalle pasta and I don't eat beef so they subbed chicken breast which was delicious. My other friends ordered the Sea bass which is their go-to every time. Wish they had specific mocktail selections instead of just making cocktails virgin but can't be too picky I guess. Would return and would love to get some pastries from their bistro next time! read more

Great bakery to stop by for breakfast. When we saw the towering platters of Banana Fosters French Toast coming out of the kitchen, we knew immediately that's is what we had to order & It did not disappoint. The bread was light & fluffy & toasted to perfection. The bananas were grilled, candied walnuts added a nice crunch & the carmel sauce was delicious! My only gripe is that the dish needed more carmel sauce but our server was quick to bring out extra servings of the sauce. My daughter ordered the breakfast burrito & it was beautifully presented & a very generous potion. There are also many delicious pastries to admire as you enter. Zovs was our favorite restaurant when we lived in Tustin--delicious food, graceful service and superb desserts. My husband stopped by yesterday and brought me my favorite, key lime ‍ pie for Mother's Day. Unfortunately, there was no lime flavor in my pie, and it was overly sweet. Not the same. read more

I'm so disappointed.. I was looking forward to coming here. Very cute n quaint restaurant however the service was not. The waitress barely acknowledged us.. it took about 20 min to get our lukewarm latte. Guests that came after us were served before us ( which is ok) it happens based on what you order. But then we noticed it happened again and again. After 45 min of waiting with no sign of our food, we decided to leave. We were willing to pay for our lattes but staff said not to. As we were walking out our waitress saw us n just said "sorry... " that's it. I could understand if it was busy n staff couldn't keep up but it wasn't that busy. I would give Zovs another chance. Maybe in the future we'll consider coming back. read more

Kebob two ways not worth the price! Iinsane. First off I walked in the patio guided by hostess at 1:40pm. She never mentioned they close at 2pm. I was served by a server Liz who was very rude and rushed me to order. After my glass of wine she said I had 10mins only because kitchen was closing:(. When I got my meal, the rice was mushy, the meat tasted like vegetable oil. I asked for hot sauce to give it a bit of taste. Bottom line $29 for a plate of two kebobs and not even pita bread j closed is absolutely ridiculous. I ended up having a second glass of wine and felt rushed as all umbrellas in patio were being shut. Overpriced, food was terrible and service is to be questioned. I don't recommend. read more

Went here this passed Sunday for my uncles 80th bday and we had a large (50+) party. The food was good. Chicken kabobs. Tasty! But the highlight for me was the mini pecan pie I took home to enjoy later. I popped it in my mini oven and DEVOURED it. It was AMAZING!! We had other pastries and they were ALL amazing. Pumpkin pie, chocolate dome, apple pie crisp, chocolate strawberry cake and cookies. 100% recommend this place. read more

Our server, JC, went above and beyond! It was my first time there and asked for a coffee recommendation and he said "I know just the thing" and he brought me the most delicious latte ever! This is always a delight to have lunch here. The food is always so good and different. The waiters and waitresses are always so attentive and nice. The space is fairly nice and opened. There is a bakery in the back with its separate eating area. The pastries all look so good and are very cute looking. I've had the sweets here a couple of times and I feel for the price (very expensive) they should taste a little better. I think next time I will just stick having lunch and looking at the pastries but not buying. read more

We were served by Claudia. We asked for waters, got no waters, asked again and only got 1. We usually get butter and jam for each side of toast but only got 1. We felt bad asking for anything and just scraped the butter and jam to share between us. Super weird experience. Everyone has off days so we tried to not ask for much. Always enjoyable to stop at Zov's for either breakfast baked goods or afternoon sweets. I tried the Chai and it was made perfectly...enough spice and not overly sweet. The blueberry muffin is incredible...crumbly top and giant juicy blueberries. For my afternoon run, I like picking up a chocolate covered strawberry tart and a banana cream tart. I think their tarts are better than their cakes. I prefer cakes from Japanese or Taiwanese bakeries because the cake layers are fluffier...their cake is quite dense. Plenty of parking in the lot. Easy stop, never overly crowded (except on holidays). read more

Everyone loved what they ordered except for me. I asked for a sample from their plates cause I couldn't decide what I wanted and it was my first time there. Seating was great, service was great. My meatloaf had brown gravy. Whether or not it was brown gravy I wasn't expecting that. I thought it was going to be a light flavorful mushroom sauce, my bad. A major let down cause it costs? The garlic potato fingers? Or wedges? Had a hair inside that I just pulled out (I took leftovers home). It could be mine but it seemed like I pulled it out from the potato, I have no idea. Glad I ordered the green beans, crispy and flavorful. I was bummed I didn't order the sea bass. Delish! The reason I didn't was because I've already had quinoa all week. The kabob sampler was not bad. Rice was bomb when I added the yogurt. I asked for pepper as well as sauce to go with the kabobs. They were able to bring me the same sauce from one of the appetizers. Sorry forgot the names of these things. I ordered the ridiculous cake and let me tell you, it lived up to its name. You know when someone else pays and it regret ordering something that you practically threw away? I force fed myself a little. Shame on me for not noticing marshmallow "puff". It's not the same as real marshmallows. Which would have been nice if lightly toasted. Peanuts were unnecessary. The ice-cream? Not ice-cream. It was the typical restaurant vanilla similar to what you get at the store in those large tubs. You know the fake food coloring or caramel color to make it look yellowee? The whole thing was severe sugar overload. I stomached the ice-cream and downed my water. I hate wasting food. Anyways, we had a good time hundreds of dollars later and all the employees were nice and took good care of us. Thanks. read more

This place was highly recommended by a friend. The restaurant has good ambiance (a little noisy during lunch). Our server was very friendly, attentive and overall service was great. The food, however, was very disappointing. We had a chop-chop salad with chicken, which was mostly lettuce with very small pieces of chicken that were difficult to find, a grilled salmon salad where baby greens were drowning in heavy dressing and salmon was no more than 5-6 ozs. $100 plus tips for lunch for 2 with a small starter and no drinks is over priced for the quality and quantity of food. They have a bakery on the other side of the restaurant. Bought a few different pastries and while not cheap, they were excellent. read more

This place has a beautiful ambiance and is very classy. The waiters and staff are dressed very nice so when I stopped by after a hike I felt very underdressed haha. But I was welcomed and talked to kindly. The bakery is located behind the restaurant as a separate cafe. The pastries are so cute and there is such a wide variety of beautiful confectionery's from cakes to cookies. They have something here for everyone. Now the actual taste of the sweets are somewhat lackluster. For example, I purchased a sweet fruit tart with custard but very disappointed when I found the thinnest layer of cream beneath a mountain of fruit. All the flavors were mild and nothing really stood out to me. For the price point I would not recommend. They are very good to look at but not to buy. read more

The entire patio was full of flies. You couldn't enjoy your food without swatting flies away from your $30 dollar meal. I have never been more disgusted than seeing flies land on our meal the entire time. I and other patrons brought this up and the staff was "yeah this happens " disgusted. Do better. I also saw patrons inside swatting flies because it's an indoor outdoor type of restaurant. Never in my life have I had to swat flies away from our food at an establishment that cost a pretty penny to eat at. There are ways to combat this problem I would think. Never again. read more
