I'm giving this 2 stars instead of one because the angel hair/feta/pine nut pasta I ordered was really delicious and had no dog hair in it, so, had I only ordered that withOUT the creme brulee, then I would have given this place 5 stars for sure. The problem came when I ordered the creme brulee and saw something about an inch tall sticking straight up out of the sugar topping!! It was baked into it. I pulled on it to take it out and a little piece of sugar topping came with it because it was baked into it! Anytime spent at Zov's is time well spent. Breakfast and lunch are exceptional. A limited number of items are on the menu, which may be the reason that each item is served so perfectly and is consistently delicious. Service is efficient, friendly and helpful with a touch of European flair. All the food is truly wonderful, but their pastries are the reason we all keep coming back. Zov's reputation is helped by the respect that she has in the community of foodies. Doens't hurt that before she died, Julia Child gave Zov her blessing. The place is small, and always packed. Sometimes a wait, but the staff manages the flow perfectly. Parkng is easy. read more

Arrived seated immediately. The seating inside was limited so we opted to sit outdoors which was nice however some kids were being loud crying and it did become annoying. The food wasn't good, but pricey. Salad was recommended by waitress therefore ordered it based on her high reviews. Unfortunately the salad was wilted and warm and the breaded chicken tasted too chewey, absolutely no flavor...My companion order Chicken/beef kabob and he enjoyed it, but nothing special. The drinks were bad as well that we ordered. On a good note, the dessert was delicious. I don't believe I'd ever eat a meal here again, but possibly return for a pastry if I had a sweet tooth. read more

We had the Rocky Road brownie and the smores bar. I must say, they have a generous portion of their desserts for 3.50! We came here while waiting for the AYCE sushi across the street....I can see what the hype is all about, but what we ordered was meh. The smores bar, while huge, was mostly marshmallow that just fell off the bar as we were biting into it, and the brownie was rich, filling, but a bit stale (it came in the wrapped packages). desserts are ok...the red velvet mini cake is tasty...the toffee chocolate cake was ok...the fruit tarts aren't as good as they look...and the flourless chocolate cake is not as good as the chocolate shavings on top...we ordered those 4 mini cakes and it was almost as expensive as a full small cake ($38)...we came around 8:30 on a saturday night and they only had 4 full sized cakes left to choose from...1 small and 3 medium...all of which weren't that exciting... we had just finished dinner at Zov's bistro...I think their bakery isn't quite as good as the bistro read more

Went here for a last minute birthday cake. Since we went at the end of the day (around 6pm) there were no more large cakes so we got four mini cakes. Best idea ever. The fresh fruit tart and cheesecakes were good nothing extraordinary. The chocolate bomb was really good. Rich and decadent. Zov's Tustin has an employee that discourages business and her action is turning away happy customers. Two of us came in Wed night, 3/13 a bit after 8:30pm to buy desserts from your bakery. The dark haired gentleman was wrapping up desserts by himself, and politely said it will be just a moment. After he took our "to go" order he quickly wrapped it up when this grumpy woman employee also in the bakery turned off the lights while we and the man employee were still in the bakery. "Hey Lady.... You having a bad day? I get it, I've been there. Just leave. Go home. Why you gotta turn off the lights?" it's not only rude, but you create a safety hazard and potential litigation if an accident occurs due to your deliberate actions. After the lights were off another considerate employee rushed over to turn the lights back on. I later found out we came in past bakery hours. Our error. If we weee told the bakery was closed, we would have left. Unfortunately your employee's behavior leads one to ask, what else does she lack in basic customer service skills. She's mastered turning off lights when patrons are still in your restaurant. Zov's we love both your restaurants, just not the passive aggressive person who is the face of Zov's. read more

Wonderful breakfast experience at Zov's Bakery Tustin. We were a somewhat big group of 8 adults and 4 kids and our server Jeff was great. We always dine out as a big group so I can definitely say Jeff and the rest of the Zov's crew did an awesome job and definitely contributed to our positive dining experience. The advantage of a big group is that we are able to try different dishes. Kids enjoyed the kids meal which included bacon or sausage, eggs and fruit. There was a pancake option which we did not try. The kids meal does not include drink. Kiddos rated their breakfast two thumbs up. We tried the shrimp frittata, Zov's breakfast and sausage scramble. Yummy breakfast, good service, ambiance just right... not too loud or crazy. We were still able to carry on a a conversation. A Definitely recommend this place for family Sunday brunch. read more

Stacy and I ate here tonight. She had the Rosemary Chicken and I had the Rib Eye. Best Steak I've ever had!! No really you have to have it- it comes served with butter melting on top and the asperagus was crisp and flavorful! After dinner we went around back to the bakery and spent $50.00 on pastries! This has been one of my favorite places for a very long time! I honestly can't say that I have ever had a bad experience here. Its a tad pricey but its totally worth it. The breakfast is delicious and the perfect size, I love the omelettes and the hash browns. And the lunches are great too. Anything with lamb is extraordinary. The armenian/american mix is heavenly. Mac'n'Cheese is very good. And let's face it, the bakery is just beautiful...all those desserts. I know some of you have complained about the prices of the desserts but the time it takes to make each individual confection plus how divine they are is well worth the money. read more

WOW! After 20+ years of living in Tustin, we finally made it over to Zov's for a late night dessert. OMG!!! I had the cheesecake and my husband had the red velvet cheesecake. They were small to be only a few bites but OHHHH the richness. We made them last for 2 days. THEN after being in the fridge over night - they were still as rich and creamy as if they were fresh! I've never had that before...even from Cheesecake Factory. YUMMMM!!! read more

I love a leisurely breakfast on Zov's patio. I order the combo breakfast 99% of the time. Simple, clean food. Real, pure maple syrup for my pancakes. Service is always good. The bakery shop is beautiful; perfect for grabbing a sweet treat on the way out for whomever I'm meeting up with later in the day. read more

This is for the bakery side in Tustin. The wife and I are hear at least once a week. Service is always friendly but some times a little slow. If you are in a hurry, go to jack in the box. This is quality food and quality some times takes time. Sit back and relax, enjoy your self. You will enjoy your meal. If it is on the menu, it is good. Out of towners (Tacoma, WA), never heard of Zov's and stumbled upon it....much to our good fortune. We were met by friendly attentive staff, live music and a wonderful atmosphere. The food was superb and the service from Carlos was as good as it gets. We got there around 6:30 on a Friday night and the place was filling up fast. We are here for 4 more nights and will go back. Had a business lunch meeting here today and I'm very disappointed :-( I've been here a few times and never had such a negative experience. The shrimp/watermelon/arugula salad was small, the shrimps were under-done (aka. raw in place) and all the food was very over-priced for what you get. Sometimes I think restaurants serve you bread just so you'll feel like you got your money's worth. I don't eat bread so maybe I'm being a little harsh. The worst part of our meal was the ridiculously overly-attentive staff. Someone needs to train them on the difference between good service and INTERRUPTING diners conversations regularly to have them focus on you! We were interrupted 14 times, even by the water guy! It's a shame because they could be so much better with just a few adjustments. Oh well, for now I give them 1 star. I hope they get better and adjust their prices too! read more

My wife and I went to the bakery for a nice after dinner dessert. I got the Chocolate Bomb and my wife got the Lemon Tart. Both were delicious. The chocolate bomb is a hard chocolate shell wrapped around a chocolate mousse with what looks (and taste) like a creamy white chocolate center. The Lemon Tart was ordinary, but the sweet and tart flavors were undeniably on target. Not cheap, but for a nice dessert place, not bad. read more

I have had some good Mediterranean food in my life, and this was fine. If you want a place in Tustin it's pretty good but if you are willing to drive 30 minutes or so, there are better places. The meat had good flavor but wasn't the best cuts of meat for the price. The rice was REALLY good and so was the hummus. Service was good and it's a fun place to eat. Great atmosphere, it's almost a hidden gem in this shopping center in Tustin. It's a great vibe as you enter, with a bakery, lounge and outdoor resteraunt area, the food is very much Mediterranean in inspiration. While the beef kabobs were a bit dry and over cooked, the rice and vegetable pilaf was excellent. The combination of garlic and basil as well as other assorted herbs captivated my senses.
