This restaurant had by far the best service I've ever experienced and all the staff made me and my boyfriend's anniversary feel so special. The view was beautiful and we even got to explore it during the middle of the meal, which was such a fun experience. They have a little boutique shop connected that was fun to walk around in between courses. Gotta walk off the food baby!

Chocolate filled cake with ice cream and pistachios The ice cream was an Italian ice ice cream.

Wow great service! The ambiance was priceless and it took my wife's breath away. Food melted in our mouths leaving incredible flavors that blended together like they were naturally made together. Our server was from our home state just a short distance from where we live. There is no way they could have known we were coming making this place the most magical place on the planet. Thanks to everyone and when we return to the island we will plan another dinner at Zozo's

We had an incredible meal at Zozo's last week! In addition to the four courses, we enjoyed a meatball and lobster to share, and several bottles of crisp white wine. The food was flavorful and beautifully presented, and the service was second to none. The atmosphere, stunning. Getting there was a bit confusing. When we drove up to the old Caneel Bay security gate, it was unattended, so we drove through. It's not overtly clear which lot you're supposed to park in or where you should wait for the shuttle, so we drove too far in and had to call the restaurant for guidance. They'd benefit from better signage. Despite getting very few bug bites on the island through the week, I got absolutely DESTROYED by the no-see-ums during our dinner. It was such an itchy distraction to an otherwise perfect meal. It didn't occur to me that, with the restaurant's remote setting, the bugs might be worse than other areas of the island. Let me assure you, they are. Our server was kind enough to bring me gin-soaked wipes, but sadly, they weren't enough of a deterrent. If you're planning to enjoy a meal here, and you're prone to bug bites, be sure to bathe in DEET beforehand. All of that to say, this was a fantastic dining experience, and we'd absolutely do it again. We've traveled all over the world and dined at several Michelin star establishments. This is a special place, owned and operated by passionate individuals, in a world-class setting.

Not repenting on my review...my Oso Buco I wondered why the microwave made noise...as I said sub par experience

Profusely underwhelming other than the views everything was subpar and I'm sorry to say.... To get here it's more than a trek. It's an experience because you have to cover it or drive it into a parking spot and they take you and by car service over to the restaurant is adjacent to an abandoned resort that was never rebuilt after a hurricane kind of a spooky vibe. It's pretty cool if you're early, which we were, they ask you to sit you can sit at the beach with their lunch waiting area where there is a very nice gift shop, which employee was very unattended so I walked out. The host was very attentive and did ask us if we wanted a drink which we did their Grey Goose so martini was OK. Their olives were amazing. Martini was OK. I better have refreshing non-alcoholic drink was delicious as we waited to be seated and brought upstairs we did partake in the beautiful views totally amazing and maybe what the restaurant banks on the four course tasting menu we were grateful we didn't do the wine pairing, cause my wine was not impressive as wasn't my cocktail my Sauvignon Blanc from France lackluster and for a place that's about $400 to eat without wine pairing. I would expect the staff to be amazing. They were OK they were proficient. They weren't unkind but they were just OK. Everything I had was almost too salty and the papa pasta was not al dente was borderline hard. I'm sorry I come from New York and impressing is hard, but I'm willing to work with OK and delicious for the price point. I could've had four meals on the island which I would've found amazing and which I have and given an extra waiting to this was just not on par. I say save your money go local eat everywhere else. It's just not worth it to come here unless you want the experience of the view and to say you've been here I'm sorry that I had to leave this review..

Incredibly great incredibly expensive 4 people almost $1300 Everything positive is true about the restaurant. But you also have to be aware of some of the cost. My wife ordered a bottle of wine. The reason why I say expensive, is the wine at a retail store in America averages under $38. The same bottle at Zozo's its $195. Everybody is charming, nothing negative in anyway, but the price for what you're getting is beyond expensive.

Understand that ZoZo's is very pricey. But the staff is excellent. You are well taken care of. The cocktails while you wait to be seated from the bar are wonderful. The food was amazing. Wife had the steak - amazingly tender. I had the Mahi and son had Lamb. The final course, dessert, was delicious. So sad you can't access this to enjoy the beach during the day. The ambiance is fantastic. Even if once - worth the experience.

We had such a delightful experience at Zozo's. This was my second time and it was even better than my first! Started with the Paloma a refreshing grapefruit and tequila cocktail. Antipasto was a gorgeous selection of cheese, olives and meats just enough to warm up the tastebuds. Next, I got the Orichette appetizer which was delicous and filling followed by a sherbert palate cleanser. We moved on to dinner and I had the Osso Buco which was fantastic! I could barely eat much by then so I took it to go and it was just as tasty the next day. I wasn't wowed over by the dessert selection or maybe I was just too full to enjoy it but it was definitely different and I'm not complaining. This is a fine dining, gourmet experience something we do a few times a year. The views are amazing and the journey to the restaurant is in itself quite the experience. There is an AMAZING gift shop within the restaurant so go early and check it out!! Note**** this establishment is not handicap friendly just an FYI for those with challenges it may be helpful to call ahead and see what accomodations they can provide? It does not pertain to myself so apologies I cannot comment on that portion.

Five of us were on a "Sister Vacation" staying for 11 days. As we were in a home, we cooked most meals, saving our final night for a special evening, deciding on Zozo's. Boy, did we make the right decision. From location to atmosphere, food to service, all was outstanding. The Chef's offerings were nicely varied, and the portions were more plentiful than we expected. Only one entree disappointed - the prawns were unseasoned with a too-sweet sauce. Everything else was excellent. The Maitre d', Mike, was very welcoming. Our Server, Mindy, was professional and courteous. The support wait staff were very knowledgeable about the food, which shows good training. One support server was just nice and attentive, Rini...don't forget to roll the "R" should you ever meet him.

Bug bites from Zozo's. Two days later, I am more and more angry about this.

Wow. Zozo's is supposedly the nicest (and certainly most expensive) dinner on the island of St. John. But honestly, it's current location at Caneel Bay is in a bed of pestilence. We arrived expecting a wonderful dinner to cap off a great week of vacation. The food and service were both very good. However, they were immediately overshadowed by the sand fleas, which were merciless. We weren't sure who had a better meal: us or the fleas. They certainly started sooner than we did and took countless painful bites out of our skin. These bugs were nasty. The no-see-ums relentlessly bit us all evening (especially around sunset) as we tried to enjoy the view. The quality of the food was hard to appreciate when we felt like we were being eaten alive. Potential diner beware. If you are coming here for dinner, take a bath in DEET before arriving. I'm certainly spending the next 4-5 days in sleepless itchy discomfort as payment for a less than comfortable 2 hour dinner. Fair trade? No thank you. If you own this establishment, you really should warn your customers (or at least have some OFF wipes available). Either way, we won't be back. Admittedly I'm writing this itching in bed waking up every 2 hrs - so forgive me if I'm a little on the angry side. And if you go without heeding my warning, don't say I didn't warn you. Photo is from 2 days after the bug bite fiasco. Prior to this, I had just a few bites despite a week on St John. And this isn't even showing my arms or neck. So no, it's not just your legs they get to. Ugh.

Meatball. Not on menu. $20 extra. WORTH IT

As full time St John residents this where my husband and I dine when we really want a nice evening out. The food is always fantastic as is the service. The view is one of the best on St John. ZoZo's lets you have the table for the entire evening so that you never feel rushed. Highly recommend.

Seared tuna with cucumber tomato feta quinoa, asparagus, mint yogurt crema

Amazing place, views, and food. Rachel our server is amazing. If you are looking for a memorable evening this place is worth the trip and price.

I'm gluten free so I struggled a tad, but overall zero complaints. This place is great! I can't rave enough about the homemade ricotta. We ordered it with honeycomb. Worth it. Trust me. The bartenders make lots of delicious treats - some of them being assorted cellos - we tried the lemon cello and the chocolate cello. So good!! Extra virgin is obviously Italian, so if you're craving handmade pastas, go here. They also make their own cheeses and charcuterie meats in house. This place does not mess around. This is a great restaurant. 3 of us had reservations for the bar, which is a huge plus, since you can order ala carte. The bar tender, Jena is a mistro and so fun to watch, I love a good bartender. For the food my wife and I shared. This was like day 6 already on holiday and I must admit I was full from all we've eaten all week long. We shared the confit duck leg, oh so good, Prince Edward Island mussels in a delicious sauce, argula salad and the Cioppino, with Caribbean lobster, gulf shrimp and mussels in a tomato broth. I would have love this over pasta and called a day. The focaccia to dip in the sauce was pretty damn good. Unfortunately, I was to stuffed for desert, I did have an oreo back at the Westin. This place is not cheap, probably the most elegant restaurant s on island. We sat at the bar, so I can't speak about the service, but it looked on point. I had a hankering for a good gyro, so actively sought this place out after seeing it on Yelp. It was decent. Located in the Nisky shopping center, Broken Plate occupies the former location of a popular restaurant called Salt'n'Vinegar. It has been open for about two years, and has a mostly local clientele. The parking lot of the mall was packed with cars, even during morning. Daria was our hostess/waitress and was informative throughout. The lunch menu is not available until 11am, so had to order items off of the breakfast menu. Most things are a la carte. Pistachio Crusted French Toast ($14) - One large piece of stuffed french toast, cut diagonally. Described as 'stuffed with honey, vanilla, pistachio cream, topped with berries and powdered sugar'. The berries were fresh blueberries. I stole a bite, and it was delicious. It didn't need syrup. Gyro breakfast ($18) - the meat is described as lamb doner, but it had not been prepared from a rotating spit. Instead, the meat was a good representation of food service gyro meat, reheated on a grill...which considering where we were, was pretty good. The plate included any 2 eggs, so got it scrambled soft and it was prepared well. The breakfast doesn't come with Tzatziki, which was an extra $2. It came with pita bread, and thinly sliced peppers and onions. It ended up being a satisfying gyro sandwich. My brother continued to shoot the breeze with our waitress while I finished my gyro. She recommended some places to get whole fried fish, which is what the area is famous for. The bill came and that's when I realized there is no sales tax in the USVI. Payment was easy, and because it uses USD, was able to use a CC that doesn't waive foreign transaction fees.
