This location DOES NOT do what is supposed to be done at Zpizza for it's GLUTEN FREE customers! Do not eat here if you are sensitive/allergic to gluten! I went in last night and the owner was behind the counter. I told him I am very sensitive to gluten and asked for the pie to be cooked on a dedicated gluten free screen, sauce spread with a clean ladle, gloves changed and a clean cutter. He informed me that they don't do any of that except for the cutter. The only reason they are getting 2 stars is that he was honest with me and told me that they couldn't do it, otherwise I would have gotten very sick! I usually go to the Goldenwest location and they do a very good job in making sure that there is little to no chance of cross contamination by doing all the things aforementioned. This location and the owner need to catch up. It does not take much effort or cost to get a couple extra screens, ladle and cutter and keep them in a sealed Tupperware container to ensure there is no cross contamination. There are certain things you eat after a couple (four) glasses of wine you think -- at the moment -- are much better than they actually are. I woke up the morning after eating Z Pizza with bleary eyes shaking my head. Nope. That wasn't very good at all. I can't put my finger on any one thing that made it "meh" but I was unimpressed with the dough, the sauce and the cheese in total. So each component that's supposed to stand on it's own didn't and collaborated in an ultimate let-down. There are other much tastier options in the area, I doubt I'll be back. read more

Yummy! All I can say is get in my belly!! I am still licking my chops after my bf and I ordered from this place. We had a Hawaiian pizza, the yummiest flat bread and a pear and Gorgonzola salad. I had some time to kill before my screening at the Lido Theater last night, so I figured why not grab a bite and Yelp it out. Since I had already parked in a prime space right in front of the theater, I decided to use my Chevrolegs to get me to the nearest eatery post haste. Within walking distance, as far as I could tell, I had 3 options: a cafe that was almost entirely empty except for 4 octogenarians sipping soup, a sketchy looking Mexican joint, or Z Pizza. I assumed the cafe would be slow and overpriced (this was in NB, after all), and I didn't want to ruin my annual screening of "It's a Wonderful Life" on account of diarrhea, so I marched over to grab a slice of pie. Z Pizza is one of the few decent pizza places that is widespread and offers slices. I got a slice of Napolitano and slice of cheese. $5.05. Reasonable for good quality, but still a little pricey without the inclusion of a drink. But it's some damn good pizza. I've been spoiled with New York pizza for most of my life, so for me to even give a passing grade to a place out here means it must be exceptional. I'm also something of a nutrition nut; I like organic ingredients whenever possible, and Z Pizza uses them in their pies. Very cool, and it makes for a much lighter slice than the heavy, bowel-churning slices from Pizza Hut or Papa John's. If you've got a Z Pizza nearby, I'd recommend making it a go-to spot if you want a couple quick slices. read more

Yum, good stuff here.. damn good. Quick delivery and very uniquely topped pizzas! I usually get a "Moroccan" which includes Pesto, Mozzarella, Roasted Eggplant, Feta, and Pine Nuts. Also the "Italian" and the "Thai" (peanut sauce!) are winners. Admittedly those are the only three I have tried, since I like them so much, I haven't needed to experiment. Customer service sucked so bad!! We ordered a gluten free pizza ahead of arriving, just after leaving from visiting the beach, very very hungry.. with 3 small kids (anyone with young kids knows what I mean). Anyways when we arrived they had just started the pizza and said it would be another ten mins. So far so good.. our kids are getting irate so we order a couple of pre-made cheese slices.. cool.. still waiting.. still waiting.. finally our pizza shows up and looks amazing!! A min later the waitress/cashier grabs the pizza/box from our table and says she goofed and didn't tell the cooks it was supposed to be a gluten free dough. OMG!! Sorry but were starving (why did we called ahead? 2 & 4 year olds have a very short attention span before going ballistic), she said it would be another 20 mins. BULL$^*7!! Sorry but I'm not cool, I ask for the pizza to be returned to us while we wait.. did we get it NOPE. After all this is her mistake. I appreciate she didn't let us eat a regular gluten infested pizza, but the only one with the gluten allergy is my wife, the rest of us could have eaten, and she could have gotten a salad, was that offered.. NO! At this point the employee is pretty much avoiding us (not cool). We finally get our food at 7:15 (shy of 1 hour since ordering, yes I timed it on my phone) I was livid!! I asked for the meal to be comped, did that happen? NO. The waitress/cashier simply said there's a 3 dollar coupon on the box.. Seriously!? It wasn't a paper coupon either, it was a stamp on the box, which means I have to take the whole box with me or cut out that portion.. guess what the box went in the trash. Our food it was very good (hence the two stars) but the next time I'm in the area and want pizza.. I'll go elsewhere. read more

I ate lunch there today. The redhead guy that helped me looked like he wanted to be somewhere else. He wasn't paying much attention when I asked him questions about their slice special. It wasn't like he was staring at the football game on the tv, just that he probably didn't want to spend his Saturday working. The pizza slice was a little too thin and soggy for me. It was alright, but not much more. The small Greek salad was pretty good with other vegetables besides lettuce and feta cheese on top. The dressing was good, but a balsamic dressing for a Greek salad. I guess?? Overall the experience was decent. The cook behind the glass thanked me for coming in for lunch. i wasn't a fan. the dough was soggy... it was dry and the pizza is small for the cost - it was about $50 with tip for delivery of 2 large pie's which were the size of small bar pie's. in all fairness I'll admit I'm a pizza snob and my 1 friend really enjoys it... just not for me. read more

I work a wonderful 2 minute walk away from this Zpizza location. It's pretty much my go-to fix for anything quick and delicious. Service is usually pretty quick and you can get in and out fast if you're in a rush. I like how you can get a slice or two to go within seconds of ordering (of course it will take longer if you order anything custom or anything that takes longer off the menu). My recommendation would definitely stay simple and stick with the pizza. Simple and fresh. I've also tried the bbq chicken salad, which wasn't bad, but was a little disappointing. Overall, stick with the pizza. Good stuff and probably a lot healthier than any of your other pizza chains. read more

Today, after kayaking for a while with the family, we came over to feed hungry kids some simple, but tasty cheese pizza, ready by the slice. The adults enjoyed shock top on tap. Good salads, and good pizza are always a sure thing at Z Pizza. This one has some outdoor seating in back. When I eventually found out that I lived almost across the street from it I decided to try it. Great place! Not a lot of seating and no beer or wine. The service was excellent and quick. The pizza was a thinner crust but very soft. It felt light and didn't stay heavy in your stomach. Decor is usual pizza joint. We got sodas, large pear and Gorgonzola salad and large pizza for $30 so the price is right! read more
