We had the most delicious dinner last night at zucchini's restaurant. The pork chop special, the seafood risotto and the chicken Frances. They were all prepared deliciously, wonderful vegetables, and flavors to entice your pallet. The bread was served warm and the zucchini appetizers was out of this world. The salad was fresh greens and vegetables and the balsamic vinaigrette dressing which must be homemade was a great accompaniment. We will be back probably sometime within the next week. read more

stopped into zucchinis , and we were lucky enough to get in. We didn't have a reservation and they were fully booked but made a space for us. Food was amazing. Service was excellent. We are here visiting the area and decided to try this restaurant. First, the atmosphere is wonderful, warm and cozy. The service is probably the best I have had in a long time. Our waitress was sweet and extremely attentive. And the appetizers and food all came out in a timely fashion and staggered perfectly. The food was fabulous! My daughter got a cauliflower crust pizza and said it was "freaking delicious, crispy, tasty, and the zucchini, mushroom and ricotta was a perfect combination". My son got the lasagna and said "it was thick and hearty with great flavors". My youngest got the free range chicken entree and said "the chicken was perfect and the veggies were subtly sweet and the mashed potatoes were creamy and all together it was bliss". My husband got the short ribs special and said "the meat was melt in your mouth good". I got the veal parmigiana and it was delicious. We also got the Crème brûlée for dessert and again so good! If you are visiting this area for skiing in the winter or Tanglewood in the summer, we highly recommend this restaurant! read more

The food was horrible. We stopped in for some dinner and we were so disappointed. First, my soup was cold and the waitress was nowhere to be found for a long time. By the time she came back the other people in my party were done with their appetizers so I just sent the soup back. We never received any bread until the very end of our meal. I got a special for my dinner which was a Fettuccine with sauce and seafood. It was barely edible. It tasted like mushy plain pasta. It was absolutely terrible. I got this special because the manager said it was wonderful. He was sadly mistaken. We spent a lot of money for an AWFUL meal. read more

Went there about 7 years ago and was excited to Go back tonight. Cant decide if it was the waitress or the food. No bread, no refills on water. Entrees come. No option for cheese on pasta. Don't want to work that hard to have a nice meal. Maybe, just an off night. read more

Yes...it could've been better. Our reservations were made with a specification this was a "special dinner" for my sister's birthday! I did mouth to our server birthday dinner...why did I even bother! I was very disappointed due to no silverware present....(had to ask)....good thing we had in our purses swiss Army knives that we had to use. This restaurant was nothing special! My meal arrived not even properly heated. The bread was removed prior to the arrival of the entree! Unfortunately Zucchini did not live up to it's local reputation! read more

This was a real nice restaurant that you do not. We'd to dress up for. The food is a little on the pricy side but it is well worth it! You can tell the ingredients used are fresh. The bread served was excellent and you could tell it was fresh. The atmosphere was very nice and the background music playing really helped! I highly recommend trying this at least once. read more

Don't go here unless you feel like waiting 2 hrs for food and waiting 30 minutes after your reservation to be seated. The owner is rude, when brought to the attention of managment that we haven't gotten our food yet the owner came out and instead of resolving the issue insulted my wife. read more

Great customer service and food was ready at the time they said it would be ready. Calamari, chicken Marsala, and Butcher's pie were all very flavorful. Everything tasted super fresh. Disclaimer: I was here for my bridal shower, so my review is totally biased based on that. That said, I loved Zucchini's. The service was great, food was good, and the private room was just perfect for the setting. I'd been here once before for dinner with the fiance, and we had a nice dinner. Typical Italian fare, a popular place in town, it's a dependable restaurant in the area. We had cocktails and appetizers this time. They made a pomegranate champange punch, which was terrific. It was such a hit that I only got 1 glass before it was devoured by the other guests! I'm not sure if this is on their standard menu, or if it was made especially for the shower, but if it's there, I'd be all over it. Appetizers we had antipasto (really great presentation and delicious), cheese & crackers, veggies and dip, and popcorn buffalo chicken. It was all great. My only complaint (which is easily fixed) would be to put out bigger plates. We were using bread plates, not appetizer plates, so people had 2-3 plates apiece and were going up repeatedly. I would definitely come back to Zucchini's. For dinner, another private event, they do come through. Our bartender/server was terrific, I wish I'd gotten her name. read more

Pizza is pretty good for Massachusetts. Ask them to cook it a little longer for my liking. I like a good crunch ... I had a vegetarian pasta their and I liked it a while back .. They have another restaurant called GARLIC which wasn't bad either. I was actually surprised how it was pretty nice on the inside.. I also was here in an event in the private room. I was very happy with the event-hosting aspect of this place. I would rate this place four stars on the basis of the event hosting. Service was good, the people were very nice and attentive. I was less happy with the food. However, the salad was considerably better than the rest of the food. The ingredients in the salad were fresh and the dressing was good. The onions were sliced razor-thin, which I liked. It sounds silly, but most restaurants in the US I find screw up salad, mainly by using less-than-fresh ingredients, so this place gets an A+ on their salad. The rest of the meal was disappointing. My plate contained a mashed potato side which was crispy and hard (sticking together in one piece, unappetizing!) and which was very bland. I feel like mashed potatos either need to contain skins, or need some spices or sauce or something on them, or they are so bland as to be inedible. I had fish, stuffed sole. it was okay. Not amazing. It was a little heavy and creamy...I prefer fish to be balanced with edgy, fresh flavors, like lemon juice, fresh parsley or ground black pepper. There was a side of vegetables, which incidentally, included zucchini, and they were not anything special...they struck me as a little soggy (I like zucchini cooked so as to make it more toasty / crispy, it easily gets that wet noodle texture which I find unappealing). I also tried other people's dishes. I did not like the pasta in red sauce...the pasta seemed overcooked and the red sauce was very boring. Overall, the food here seemed pretty typical of Italian-American food, too much like New England cooking, and not light, spicy, and flavorful like the sort of Italian food that I like most. There was chocolate mousse for dessert. It was actually not bad. Not enough to salvage the fourth star though. My main recommendation here would be for this restaurant to use more spices in the food, and try to make the main dishes lighter tasting. I know the cooks here can produce light, fresh food because the salad here was top-notch, and there were a few other elements of flair shining through here or there in the food. Perhaps they are catering too much to local tastes. But I was less a fan of the food as-is. read more

Wow is the only word I can think of. Went there on Monday but they were closed. The owner recommended their sister restaurant Roasted Garlic which was also excellent. At zucchini's we had eggplant rolatini for app which was excellent. For entrees we had seafood risotto and pistachio trout which were both five star dishes. They could be served at any fine restaurant in NYC. I usually don't rave this way but I was impressed with the quality of the food . I know this is starting to sound like an ad rather than a review then so be it ! read more

This place is sort of confusing at first glance. Is it a bar? Is it a restaurant? Is it a function hall? The decor is even more confusing. The food is actually very good but my initial reaction was not that I was going to have a good meal. It is a family orientated restaurant and has immediate seating, I think because it has large dining rooms but not sure. We ordered two pasta dishes and two chicken dishes with potato and veggies. The food was very good, tasty, the portion sizes were decent as well. Finished my dinner pleasantly surprised and shall return. read more

My family stopped here for dinner on our way back to town from Boston. We had driven by several times and had always wanted to stop. Since there were not many cars in the parking lot and the restaurant looked quite big, we thought this was the time to stop. We were quite surprised to hear that there was a wait for a table. We were told the wait would be 10 minutes but we waited at least 20 minutes. And then after we were seated, we waited another 10 minutes or longer for someone to come to take our drink order and then even longer for someone to take our food order. There were two really large parties seated in the same room so we thought that might have been the reason for very slow service but those parties didn't seem to be getting any better service than we were. The food was ok but nothing so good that it made the wait worthwhile. read more

Fantastic find while visiting the Berkshires. To put it into perspective, we showed up with 3 kids at 8:30 on a Friday night (our poor planning) and they couldn't have been more awesome. The wine list was small but delicious. Everything was perfectly seasoned and expert prepared. We had the seafood risotto, one of the best I've had even after spending 3 months in Italy. Veal Marsala was loaded with mushrooms. Wood fire pizzas rock. The decor is warm and inviting and the staff was very nice. The chef also owns Roasted Garlic near by which we just happened to stumble on 2 days earlier. Loved that too. read more

We used Zucchini's to cater a party at our house, for 70 people. Mickey (the owner/chef) came with his mobile kitchen and made EVERYTHING right there! They only needed an electrical hookup, so it freed up the kitchen in my house! The food was amazing! We had two apps, three entrees, along with sides and salads. Everything was beautiful and delicious. The wait staff was fun, super nice, and on top of things all day. I would definitely recommend and use them again! read more

Excellent dining experience... from salads (Greek special !) to dinner and delicious desserts too. Got a variety at our table... farmer burger had teenager's seal of approval, chicken parm special was hit with my husband... the seafood fra diavlo was fantastic (my fav to order at Italian restaurants); and seafood with garlic & oil was excellent too. We eat at Zucchini's a few times a year and always enjoy it. Their pizza is excellent by any standards. Salads are fresh and tasty and their main courses, whether fish or Italian veal/chicken/pasta fare are all good choices. Meals come with fresh baked bread, and excellent sides. Unlike many pizza/Italian restaurants, when you request al dente, you actually get it, even on the side pastas. Prices are fair considering the large portions, and service is good but can be slow when crowded. Portions are so large that we never try the deserts, so I can't comment on them. The one downside is that their lunch menu is very small if you are looking to spend "lunch prices". All dinners are available without the side vegetables at lunch, but served at full dinner prices. It is a big place, and pretty good for kids. Overall, worth a stop. read more

I've been going here for about 5 years now and think the food is great. They have a wide variety of choices on the menu and a kids menu as well. The restaurant is very family friendly and has a great atmosphere. Last night we went to have dinner with another family and had a phenomenal experience well beyond the food. I was parked on the street and someone hit my car. The owner of the restaurant came out to help me not only with some tools, but drove his truck over to provide some light and also helped me change a flat tire! Now that's what I call going above and beyond the call of duty. I loved the place before this event, now my appreciation is at a whole new level!! Thank you! read more
