Loved this place! This was my first time taking a hot yoga class that wasn't Bikram and it was definitely different and very fast paced. I took the flow yoga class and found it to be pretty challenging. You don't hold poses for very long and you work through a series of poses that you repeat a few times. There's an instructor and an assistant and I liked that they came around helped you with posture or pushing you deeper into your stretches. The studio is spacious and clean and you will definitely break a sweat in this class. Expect to feel rejuvenated and get a great night's sleep after a class! Beautifully balanced set of classes and instructors! Challenging, thoughtful, and dynamic vinyasa sequences. Ashtanga class is not traditional but a remix (and my favorite!). Yin Nidra is the perfect Sunday wind down. Classes and instructors vary, with some choosing more upbeat music and others playing limited background music. I love it all and appreciate the variety. The space is clean and organized. Several reviews mentioned the parking lot view. I do not feel that this impacts the feeling of the space at all. The blinds are drawn, allowing natural light to filter through and muting any activity or true visuals of the parking space. The staff is inviting and care about details like remembering names. The community at large has an inclusive vibe. Everyone smiles, many hold open doors, and plenty of people chatting and enjoying the space after each class. I hadn't practiced any yoga or any exercise really in the past 3.5 years. I admit I wasn't looking to either but a friend of mine saw the $40 for forty days and convinced me to go. I started with the sound bowls yin yoga and it was super relaxing. A week later I tried the all levels class and although it was fast paced and difficult, there was no judgement and I was allowed to go as slow as I needed. It's been two weeks and I've gone to 9 classes. My favorites are the yin stretch class on Tuesday nights and the Monday night level 1 class. I get an even mix of strength, stretch and relaxation since I started going. The staff is so friendly and welcoming, the studio is clean and smells good. I'd recommend trying it! read more

It saddens me to write this, as I used to be a regular at Zuda in Sacramento when Annmarie was the owner and also a regular instructor. Over a decade later and now living in Southern California, I wanted to get back into yoga so I checked out their virtual offerings. They didn't offer a lot of time slots that worked for my schedule, but the website states that if you sign up for a virtual class and can't attend they will email you a replay link that you can watch for up to 1 week. I purchased a 30-day unlimited pass and was planning to be fully virtual and primarily do the replays, but I did try to attend the first class live. When I connected via zoom, I could barely hear the instructor despite having the zoom and laptop volume at max. It was not loud enough for me to understand what she was saying, so I ended up being totally disappointed and leaving. I never had this happen with zoom before. I never received the replay link for this class or any of the other ones I signed up for so I wasn't able to do a single class. I reached out to zuda via email and the contact form on the website to try to get this resolved because I really wanted to make this work by receiving the replay links. When I got no response to these messages, I sent a follow up (via both email and contact form again) explaining the situation again and requesting a refund. It's been at least 2 weeks since the follow up and again no reply. I tried to call once and no one answered. I'm not so upset that I lost the time and money investment, I'm more disappointed that this studio cares so little about people that simply want them to deliver on what they are advertising, and I want to warn anyone in my shoes not to make the same mistake. read more

My friend introduced me to Zuda Roseville. I signed up for 30 days pass and instantly fall in love. All the instructors are so wonderful. They will push you to your best. You will sweat and feel great. It is good for cardio too. Heart beat could rise as high as 160s-170s. The facility is clean, cozy and well equipped. Really love this place! Workouts are challenging which I love. I've been out of yoga for years but I'm picking it back up quickly. Instructors are great!! I don't care for the heat but it is less hot than other studios. I wish there were more no heat options but I do feel amazing afterwards. I'm sleeping better and my hip pain that I've had for years is all but gone after 3 weeks. I love the variety of class times. These classes are helping me manage my stress and my energy has increased dramatically. I love this place! They offer a 30 days for $30 deal which is well worth it! This really is a yoga studio combined with a spa experience. It is very serene inside. All of the members and staff are very friendly and welcoming. There are showers available, a nice sitting area if you want to have a cup of tea, and they even provide extra hair ties in case you forget your own. It's very clean and they clean the floors regularly. The best part is the cool washcloth infused with herbs that they give you at the end of class! I'm hooked on this place. read more

Nick and Stella are amazing in so many ways. Awesome studio, I wish there wasn't so much eastern philosophy though and just yoga. After spending a decade away from Yoga with occasional attempts to find a studio I love, I think I found one here. The instructors are impressive, kind, fun, and also challenging. I felt very welcome on every visit. One instructor at check-in remembered my name after my first visit -- I feel ashamed not to ask his. Jodi explained how I could take advantage of the 30-day unlimited option and then earn another free month and suggested I wait to enroll for it at the first class I wanted to attend. This was good advice. They seem to care to invite people in. I tried a few types of yoga I had never had the opportunity to try. Both locations are lovely, clean and elegant. Im am completely new to yoga and I found Zuda yoga's new student offer $30 for 30 days. Let's just say I LOVE IT. I work as a CNA and coming to class has helped me relieve so much stress and stretch every muscle I need to. I usually take the 12:00 pm or 9:00 am class with Jodi, Amber or Heidi so far. Just started practicing again and was coming from another yoga studio due to a move. I'm so happy I found Zuda. The studio is clean and they offer a lot of nice amenities such as cold towels once the class is winding down. My second class was by far made my favorite thanks to the instructor, Amber. She really helped in aiding and reminding about posture and also in assisting students during stretches. I have been practicing Yoga at home for a few years now, but had never taken a class at a studio before Zuda Yoga. I participated in the $30 for 30 days intro deal and could not be more pleased. From my first class, I was completely hooked. I get a great workout with every Power Vinyasa and Slow Flow class. The rooms are heated and I always leave dripping in sweat! They do offer patrons a cold face towel that's scented with essential oils, which I think is lovely. My favorite part about Zuda is leaving feeling so centered, connected, and with newfound clarity. This has drastically helped my stress levels and not to mention... flexibility levels! I definitely think I have found a home here at Zuda. I've practiced yoga for over 11 years and tried many styles. There are many twists on the traditional yoga practice. And this isn't necessarily a good thing. This studio is clean, spacious and the staff is friendly. For a studio that offers classes that are heated to some degree it's a definite negative that they don't provide showers for after class. As for the yoga....Yin classes, like most yin classes, are pretty good - get in a posture, hold it, relax. The flow classes, in my opinion, are far from what traditional yoga is. They are very fast paced and are really more like calisthenics using yoga postures. There's no time at all to hold the postures in the flow sequence. I understand that this is what flow has become and to most people this is yoga. But so much more strength, flexibility, breath control, inner peace comes from being in a posture and holding it. I remember thinking after taking a flow class here that I felt like I had been at the gym. All my major muscle groups had been pumped up and felt tight. That's not how you should feel after a yoga class. Your body should feel calm, loose, and relaxed. That's why I think this is closer to calisthenics than yoga. Even though it uses yoga postures and is called yoga doesn't mean that it is yoga. read more

Zuda Yoga is conveniently located near my work and home. Registering was quick and easy. They use the Mind and Body app, so signing up for classes and checking in is quick and easy. The instructors are very good at what they do and very friendly. They offer a good variety of classes and times to chose from. I love the the heated yoga. I hope they expand someday so they can consider adding more than one shower and add lockers. read more

I've been getting more into yoga over the last year, and I wanted to find a yoga studio rather than the place I normally work out at that only offers 2 classes per week. I decided to check out the 30 days for $30 deal at Zuda and I really enjoyed it. I think Zuda is perfect for beginners since they have a newbie program, and they offer classes for different levels. All Levels is a bit harder than the Level 1 class. I really enjoy both classes. Erin's Level 1 class is my favorite so far. I also took Aaron's Hip Hop Yoga recently and it was SO FUN! I've never taken such a fun and energetic yoga class. A dance break and congo line half way through the class was just what everyone needed to gain that extra motivation to finish the class strong. Only con I can think of is that the memberships are much pricer than the other studios I was looking into. They also don't have showers, so that might be something to consider if you were looking to go to the AM classes before work and wanting to shower the sweat off. Overall, I really enjoyed Zuda. I don't think I'd get much use out of the monthly or yearly membership, but I'll definitely get the 10 class pass. read more

I have been practicing for about 9 months and Zuda Midtown was the first studio I attended based on a recommendation. I love that studio and was very happy when they opened the Roseville studio closer to home. The teachers are inspiring and add so much more than just their physical guidance. The room is typically heated to 93-97 degrees and is often humidified to help with breathing. The studio has a great feel and was designed very well, from the color scheme to the wood floors. Like Midtown, they have a killer sound system. I hope as the studio becomes more established, they will be able to offer more classes and to have more assisting, similar to Midtown. Assisting is a huge enhancement to my practice especially as I am learning. I was spoiled by the amount of classes with assistants when I started at Midtown. If you haven't tried Yin Yoga yet, go to the Sunday 4:30 class. It is a great way to finish off the weekend! read more

This review is a year over due. When I was a member I enjoyed going to their classes, the instructors were great and personable. My gripe I have (not sure if they still do it) is they would stop playing music when the next series of yoga poses were to be added on. Pretty much they would play music then stop the music. It could be a little irritating when music is on then off so many times within the 60-70min classes. I like yoga places where they leave the music on and talk through adding on a new series of poses. Other than that it's a nice facility and they have nice yoga clothing, they provide cleaning supplies for your yoga mat after your workout which I love!! I mean, really, when else would you clean your yoga mat? Speaking of cleaning, it would be nice for some yogis to clean their sweat off the floor around them as a courtesy to other yogis! read more
