Not his size. I'm reviewing them because I DIDN'T buy anything from Zumiez. I'm reviewing them because of the GREAT service I received from La a'. Now I came in about 15 mins from closing. No, I'm not one of those restaurant patrons that comes in before closing and sits down for a meal. I just really didn't know they were closing but La a' took his time with us. My boy needed slippers and La a' took time getting the various slipper sizes and willing to look them up at other stores for us to visit. He took time to explain that Nike's are more for athletic purposes and Adidas are more for comfort. After listening to him it made sense. This dude didn't rush me out the door and was polite the whole time. I felt bad that I didn't get anything but he smiled and said "next time bruther". With an attitude like this, you know I'm coming back. Overall five stars for the service and they do have an eclectic style similar to Spencer's (I know you read that review). Absolutely amazing service!! Came in with my friends on 07/12 around 2pm to purchase some shirts and was informed that they had a 4/$125 deal that included the Empyre jeans I've been considering buying for a while. I declined since I wasn't sure if my bank account could handle it. when i came back about half an hour later after thinking it through and deciding to buy the jeans after all, they informed me that i could purchase the jeans and they'd honor the 4/$125 deal still because of my prior purchase. the sales associates working went out of their way to calculate my total and provide me with the discount. the employees that helped me (a guy and girl) were also very helpful and friendly in general. overall, my experience at this location was great and i can't wait to return in the future! read more

Zumiez is now located in the new mall Ka Makana Ali'i in Kapolei. It right next to Torrid and across Cinnamons. This mall been open for about a month now & there are many stores to shop from. Hours of Operation Monday - Friday 10:00am to 09:00pm Saturday 10:00am to 10:00pm Sunday 10:00am to 06:00pm This store is a bit smaller than the one in Waikele. It has the same quality of clothing and many selections to choose from. Fitting rooms are available in the back room with 2 big stalls. Next to it has an area with skater accessories. They have lots of different types of style clothing. The cloths that are easily sold out in sizes are the joggers and chino shorts & pants. On the front entrance, they have a good selection of watches, stickers, belts, etc for clothing & style. read more

Had a friend making a board for my wife; he screwed it up and told me 5 days before Christmas. I know exactly 0 about boards and their usage, but Dillon made sure that I managed to get her a great board that suited her need. I left feeling confident in my purchase. PLUS if I take her in with her receipt, she's still good on the discount for protective gear!! Highly recommend this location! Should I need more or additional stuff for her? I'm not hip or young enough to really get this store but I guess I don't have to be. Just as long as I understand that all my teenage nieces and nephews and daughter included LOVE this store. They either tell me what they want- size, color, brand... or it's a gift card. No matter I'm pleased as punch that they opened up at Ka Makana Ali's. Because it makes Birthday, Xmas shopping that much easier for me and my "Things to Do" list. The staff here is always Hip and helpful. Since making my life easier = more time for me, they get all the stars I can give them. The hardest people to shop for are teenagers because they are so picky and grandparents because they have everything. Man, if Zumiez could start selling something for the grandfolks, I'd do the funky chicken! Anyways, on our most recent trip to this location picked up those neat gift card for a gift and this OMG shirt for my offspring. read more

I was shopping the during Christmas week and honestly it looked like a busy storm inside this store( first time ever in a sum like boxes everywhere and you can't even tell who were employees to customers because everyone was just wearing casual clothes but it was loud and chaotic. I was with my daughter and was trying to get just one shirt that my son wanted. They had such good energy and they were so nice. This girl with reddish hair was helping me find the shirt and when she couldn't find it, gave me some more cheaper options that were very close to the one I was looking for. She ended up finding it and was super nice and very peppy even though the store was so busy. This tall local dude with curly hair was helping my daughter find something anime related that she might like and wasn't pushy and was showing her there newest ones and was so nice. At the end of the haul we only bought the one shirt my son wanted, and I came up to thank the red hair girl and the tall hair dude and offered to get her like coffee or pretzels and they said the good energy I was giving back was enough and even gave me a bunch of gift boxes to use! Came here for a skateboard for my son. I don't know anything about skateboards and the employees were so nice and helpful. The guys told me which ones they personally prefer and why, and what to look for in a skateboard and what to avoid. They told me to think about it and let them know if i had any other questions. We buy $100 gift cards for my teen every Christmas and birthday and it's her favorite store - not just this location. She spends all her allowance there. We purchased her skateboard and all her supplies through Zumiez in person, but mostly online. She was even hoping to get a job there when she got a little older. Suddenly she's kicked out of the store today and they told her it's because she has been suspected of stealing the last time she was in there and supposedly I was with her! Ummmm.... The last time we were in there together, she was by my side the entire time and we bought several things! So that is pure BS. Kids are capable of anything for sure, but my 4.0 NHS, community volunteer kid who prides herself on honesty and giving back has been broken hearted and publicly humiliated and there is zero proof of any wrong doing. And her friends, who hadn't even been there before were kicked out too. Disgusting! You can't just profile people and humiliate them, especially children, when they haven't done anything wrong. read more

I love zumies, I've been shopping at this store for years, the employees are always kind and helpful. But today I went looking around in the store for a hoodie to buy. Me and my friend went in and this female employee was by the door and she greeted us which me and my friend were thankful and very appreciative of. I was checking out this hoodie and she comes back asking again if we need any help, and we said" No we're good but Thankyou" and me and my friend said it in a very nice tone at least as what we believe. But then she immediately walks away loudly complaining that "wow you guys are so rude", making a scene and everyone was looking at me and my friend like we made such a offensive remark. I really do love the store and how genuine the employees are, this is the only problem I've had with zumies ever. I wanted to apologize to the employee because maybe she was frustrated or stressed out, and I don't want to come off anyway as rude or disrespectful. I've worked with customers before at jobs so I know how stressful and frustrating it can be at time. But me and my friend were so annoyed and angered by how unprofessional the employee handled the situation, set aside from her attire. But I didn't get to purchase what I wanted because me and my friend felt it was best to leave the store before anything else happens. Of course I do plan on returning to the store, I shop their regularly, I'm just writing this comment for the upper management to hopefully see this and kind of get talk to their employees so hopefully this can be avoided again and it's not towards a customer who is understanding and kind as me. read more

Initially everyone was very welcoming when I walked in. I was at the mall looking for comfy shoes for my trip and I've been shopping at Zumiez for almost 6 years now. I've spent thousands of dollars at this store and it's one of the only places I get my longboard decks from. I walked out after looking at the shoes with my sister and went next door to forever 21 where the store manager(GROWN MAN) followed my 13 year old sister who is in middle school and accused her of stealing a hat that she was looking at. She took it off the shelf, thought about getting it and put it back because she decided she didn't want to pay $40 for a regular baseball hat. We were not raised that way and my sister has never stolen anything in her life! We kind of shook it off, understanding that they're probably just taking precautions. They must have young kids steal from them a lot. They're located right next to two different schools. I went to a couple other locations to look at shoes but none had my size in any styles I wanted so I went back to Zumiez. Now this is the reason why I'm only giving two stars. My second time walking into this store today I immediately felt like all of the workers eyes were on me because they remembered that I was with the girl who they THOUGHT was stealing. I had a worker asking me if I needed help EVERYWHERE I walked. They were pretty much following me everywhere I went in the store and everything that I grabbed off the shelf to purchase, they immediately had an associate come to me and say "I can hold those at the front for you." A lot of you would think this is awesome customer service but I work in retail and this is what they do when they think you're going to steal things. This is not the usual reaction I get when shopping here because I am usually dressed a little nicer. It was my day off and I was running errands with my two year old so I was wearing lululemon leggings(which are more expensive than almost everything they sell there lol) and a tank top. I wanted to be comfy. It was a very uncomfortable experience shopping there and I felt very belittled because they profiled me as a thief just because I wasn't dressed as "nice" as other shoppers were. First of all it's Zumiez, not Gucci. They need to get over themselves. I ended up buying the shoes, a pair of adidas leggings, and some socks. Came out to just over $100 so no, I wasn't spending a ton of money in their store but it's one of the only places I shop at so it adds up! I won't be coming to this location anymore. The waikele location has much nicer associates that won't profile you for what you're wearing!! Waikele also has a way better selection of shoes and clothing as well. Go there instead or any other Zumiez location besides here. read more
