Sushi

First time here. Went for lunch on Sunday - quick service, tasty food! The nacho mama was really good!

Rainbow Roll and Salmon Nigire
Aaron S.

Most of the time 4.5 stars occasionally 3 stars. Not totally consistent here but when they are on they are really on which is most of the time. Staff is awesome during the day. Never been during dinner time. Not the most innovative rolls but well made and wasabi and ginger are on point. My favorites here are the Rainbow Roll (pic) Salmon Nigiri (also in pic) and the Las Vegas Roll.

Didn't really care for that.

Osaka Japanese Steakhouse is one of my favorite teppanyaki spots and always delivers a fun,…read moreenergetic, and memorable dining experience. The atmosphere is welcoming for both regular guests and those celebrating special occasions, and it really stands out as a place where dinner turns into an event. What makes it especially enjoyable is how interactive and festive everything feels. Celebrations--especially birthdays--are taken to another level with music, singing, and even traditional Japanese masks, creating a lively and entertaining environment that everyone gets to be part of. On top of the experience, the food is consistently excellent. Everything is cooked fresh right in front of you, with great flavor and quality across the board. If you're looking for a place that combines great teppanyaki-style dining with a fun, high-energy atmosphere, Osaka Japanese Steakhouse is a top-tier choice.

There must have been several birthdays being celebrated that night because we heard the birthday song quite a few times . I think my brother really enjoyed himself too, which made the night even better. Just a heads up -- it's definitely a lively, noisy place, so probably not the best choice if you're looking for a quiet dinner. But if you want good food and a fun, energetic atmosphere, this is a great spot.

The restaurant is fairly large, and seems like a lot of people like coming here for family/friend dinners. Like the name insists, the teppanyaki is the way to go. Their menu isn't that large, so it was pretty easy to make a decision. I opted for the filet mignon (rare) along with shrimp. Teppanyaki is really more of a show/experience, so the food comes out to you in sections (versus all at once like at a traditional restaurant). The filet was so soft, and was perfectly rare, and the shrimp was so good. I think in the future I'd eat a whole plate of shrimp. I also got to try the yakiniku, and that was also pretty good but very sweet. Their Boo Yah Ka roll was also pretty yummy. It's essentially a spring roll, but with some spice and citrus to it. I felt that the portion was good for a large meal, but my friend who got the chef's combo definitely had enough for leftovers.

We arrived a little early, so they told us we could sit at the bar & have a drink. We sat there for 15+ minutes & the girl getting things ready for the bar totally ignored us. Right before we were seated someone else took our drink order & said she'd bring them to the table. Hubby got a beer & I got a Tito's & cranberry juice. We ordered an appetizer. While we were waiting they sat another 4 with us. We all expected dinner & a "show", but none of us expected the show we got. One of the staff started screaming at another staff member. We had no idea what the female staff member was saying since her words were not in English. She was so loud & screaming in the bar area so the entire restaurant could hear her. A couple of staff members tried to claim her dow. This went on for several minutes. It was crazy. All us customers were silent & just looking at the girl screaming & yelling. The next thing we know, round two. It was unbelievable. What was even crazier was they didn't send the staff member home! No one came over & said a word. No one apologized or said anything. After all of this, they sat couple with us. Finally the chef came to the table. By this time it was 20 til 6:00. Hubby got the filet with fried rice. I got the shrimp with fried rice. The food was good. However, hubby's steak was over cooked. Thankfully, hubby told the chef he wanted to change the steak from medium to medium rare, or it would have been even more over cooked. I also watch all of the employees but one prepping the food without gloves. This used to be our go to place for, but now with all this issues this time, we will probably have to find a new place.

I suggest going somewhere else that is actually worth the time and money. We arrived there on time but they weren't ready for us yet. It took over 30 minutes for us to get a chef to our table and cook. We sat at the table hungry. The quality of food was not worth the prices. We ordered the steak ($50, definitely not worth it) and they did not cook it right. It was overdone. We also ordered salmon. I couldn't believe my eyes... the salmon ($38, not worth it) they had brought to our table was still half frozen! I had mentioned this at the table. I was ignored. I had to ask many times for different things from the chef due to the food not being good. I should have not ate it and just said something at the time but the waiter was in a bad mood and the chef wasn't the friendliest. The workers seemed tired and wanting to be there to do the job. I'd rather stay silent because I know how it can be working at a restaurant that has been busy. Our service... the waiter wasn't patient and had an attitude from the very beginning. I looked over at my friends and we kind of went silent. The performance at the hibachi lacked. I know the chef was probably worn out but our reservation was at 5 pm. Not late at all. We were super let down because the restaurant itself was beautiful but so many bad things happened. The only thing I liked from the restaurant was the happy hour they had a few nice drinks. That's it. The place is not accessible. there are places you have to step up, watch wear you step, it has a lot of declines and inclines. Not a lot of accessible parking. The entrance is so far away from most of the parking. Not enough room at tables for wheelchairs or scooters. It was super loud, very smoky and irritated not only my eyes my almost everyone at our table and other tables.

He goes by Shrimp Shady :) The main reason for the 1 star review is everything else from our meal on Father's Day. First off, the lady who was taking our order was just flat out rude. We have dietary restrictions and it was like we were making her job extra hard. My wife is vegetarian and my daughter eats seafood and I eat white meat and seafood. She brought out the mushroom soup that comes with the meal and I overheard it comes with beef broth, so I told her I can't have that and I don't need the miso. She rolled her eyes and did a huff/groan sound. Menu doesn't state it's a beef soup so I didn't ask. My wife double checked her stuff was vegetarian and she was acting like asking her the question was a big ask. We were given a lunch menu with the other 6 pieces of menus. I told her I want this item and she looks at me and says uh that's only for weekdays. Then why am I given this menu when it doesn't even say on it that' it's for weekdays only? So then I had to rush to order bc she was impatient. Prices have gone up everywhere but I've never seen 200% increase like this place has since the last time I went several years ago. Definitely the last time I go to Benihana.
