Came in during the week to order sushi for take out. Staff were friendly and provided me a paper menu. They have the menu on the screens as well. They informed me about the happy hour sushi selections are marked in red. The inside of the restaurant is small and has a couple of tables to eat inside for groups of two or four. You can also eat outside. I placed my order and receive my items in a timely manner, packaged securely and provided plenty of soy sauce and ginger. I ordered the Tootsie Roll and Shrimp Tempura Roll. I would order the Shrimp Tempura Roll again instead of the Tootsie roll. They look the same and almost tasted the same but I enjoyed the shrimp tempura the most. read more

When we walked in, the inside felt a little cluttered -- you could see some storage boxes in the main area and seating is somewhat limited both inside and on the patio -- but everything was clean and the staff was very friendly. They set us up with a high chair for our little guy, which I had to quickly wipe down myself since it was sticky, but our server brought the menus and gave us a helpful rundown of how things work. Everything is plated to go, and you order at a kiosk, but they bring everything out, so it's almost full service. I ordered the creamy Cali roll and the Tootsie roll, and my husband went with the baked mussels and the beef teriyaki bowl. I had a hot green tea and he got a beer. Our drinks came out first, and I was a little disappointed with the tea -- it was just a cup of hot water and a tea bag, which felt a bit underprepared for $3.50. Our waitress offered sugar or lemon while stating that they don't use honey, which is fine because I usually take mine plain anyway. The mussels were gorgeous -- they smelled amazing and my husband devoured them. The sushi rolls were fresh and clean-tasting, and surprisingly, I liked the creamy Cali even more than the Tootsie roll. My husband loved his teriyaki beef bowl. I tried it too and found the sauce a bit sweeter than I prefer for beef, but I think it would be delicious on the chicken. Unfortunately, this did not meet expectations. The salmon looked fresh but it lacked flavor. The tuna look less fresh and lacked flavor. I really liked the sauce that came with the cherry blossom. The mussels were pretty good. They ended up making the restaurant a little Smokey. I guess it's meant more for take out but they still will accommodate dine in. So very limited seating. It's very cluttered and feels tight. I'm not even sure you can use the restroom? The person taking our order was so so in being approachable, but we had a super sweet server who kept checking on us and clearing the table because again it's a tight space. I think we spent 75? Saw this place on Yelp and it looked good. And it had good reviews. My grandma wanted to take me out for dinner. And I saw this place near the house. Upon going in, we got seated outside because there were no seats inside. There's probably about 5 tables with 2-4 seats each. So we got seated outside. While looking at the menu, a lady cleaned our table because it was dirty. I had asked her if we can seat inside if there are any availability. She said, "Yeah I'll go ahead and ask." I saw about 2 parties leave their tables and two mormon dudes came in and sat on one of the tables. As we were ready to order, I had asked the lady in the cashier that I had asked the lady who cleaned our table if we can take seats inside if there was any availability and she said she'd ask. The lady in the counter didn't even know that. So instead of waiting and really don't want to sit outside because it was hot, we decided to take out instead. The quality was fine, but nothing I would go out of my way for. The teriyaki bowl was a heavy portion of rice with a thin strip of chicken. I've new to Arizona, from California, and in the two years I have been here, this is the first sushi place I have visited. One, there aren't too many in the east valley and two, just wasn't sure how "fresh" sushi would be in the AZ. Well, this place was great. Great service, great taste, great food. Horrid customer service. They do not care to walk in or dine in. They care to doordash and Uber eats. We ordered food and told 20-30 minutes. After an hour we checked on our status and they said "30 more minutes". We watched order after order filled before ours. They offered no solution or to get our food so we had to demand a refund. They took an additional 10 minutes trying to figure out how to do a refund. At no time did they attempt to prepare the food, apologize, or try to make it right. Will never go here again. It is located in a strip mall, has a small seating area inside along with some outdoor tables but don't let that shy you away because you can order food to go, take it home and it's amazing. They have a great happy hour that's all day during the week and honor that price even in to go orders. Here's some of our favorites that we like to order. In my opinion, you can never go wrong with the California roll. It's a crowd pleaser for just about anyone. If you're feeling more adventurous, check out the Hurricane Roll. First sushi place I've tried since moving from out of state. I ordered the Angry hamachi, Cali rolls, garlic edamame, salmon sashimi and fried gyoza. I thoroughly enjoyed it all! You place an order at the counter and the staff brings you your food in to-go containers to your table. We ordered the garlic edamame and three different rolls to share. I don't remember all the names, except for the cherry blossom roll. The presentation is hard to forget. The rolls were arranged in a circle with a cherry in the center. It was delicious, and so were the other two rolls we tried. Everything was fresh and flavorful. The rolls were also pretty big and the prices were reasonable. The staff was friendly and checked on us a few times. They cleared empty containers and trash off our table. We were very pleased with the food and service! read more

I ordered a to go order which included 4 orders of salmon sashimi and when I got home with it I opened the container and it smelled bad. I live 20 minutes from there so I spent about 45 minutes to go get the order. When I called to let them know the girl I spoke with told me she didn't believe me and that I would need to bring the fish back for her to inspect it in order to get a partial refund. I told her I already spent 45 minutes coming to get it and she basically said sorry I can't help you. Extremely rude and unhelpful. Hubby was craving sushi so we decided to come check this spot out. Arrived just before 8 on a Saturday night. There are only 4 tables inside so it's definitely more of a take out spot, but we were able to snag a table and order. They also have a few tables out front. I got edamame to start, a side of steamed veggies, the vegetable roll and the veggie tempura roll. The edamame was steamed perfectly with the right amount of salt. The steamed veggies were tender with a little crisp to it and a size side dish. The vegetable roll was packed with veggies and you could taste how fresh and crisp they were. The veggie tempura roll was a little hard to manage (soft and would fall apart when I tried to grab with the chopsticks), but oh so delicious! I loved the crispy onions on top adding that extra little crunch to each bite. Hubby ordered salmon roll, spicy albacore roll, and the popcorn lobster. The salmon roll was quite a pleasant surprise; the amount of salmon was substantial in this roll, and the fish was both fresh and delicious. The spicy albacore roll share the dame characteristics as the salmon roll. Both were substantial in both quality and quantity. The Popcorn Lobster was incredibly intriguing, as it was a new concept that hubby hadn't tried before. He said it was a very similar to a Vegas roll, in that it was sweet, and had the texture of the deep fry you'd expect from that type of roll. But, it had the upgrade of lobster, and the addition of the sweet chili glaze kicked it up a notch. It was very complex, but still sweet, a definite must-try for those who enjoy the Vegas. They brought all the food to us in the to go containers (more indicators of it being more of a takeout spot), but I didn't mind because their boxes and plates are compostable. Every staff member that interacted with us was extremely friendly and helpful, and the place was nice and clean. It was definitely busy with people coming to take out food, so we can see it's a popular spot and we will for sure be coming back! I also have to shout out one of the employees for taking time to go over the menu with the folks at the table next to us to find items they could have made gluten free to accommodate food sensitivities.
