Saw this place on Yelp and it looked good. And it had good reviews. My grandma wanted to take me out for dinner. And I saw this place near the house. Upon going in, we got seated outside because there were no seats inside. There's probably about 5 tables with 2-4 seats each. So we got seated outside. While looking at the menu, a lady cleaned our table because it was dirty. I had asked her if we can seat inside if there are any availability. She said, "Yeah I'll go ahead and ask." I saw about 2 parties leave their tables and two mormon dudes came in and sat on one of the tables. As we were ready to order, I had asked the lady in the cashier that I had asked the lady who cleaned our table if we can take seats inside if there was any availability and she said she'd ask. The lady in the counter didn't even know that. So instead of waiting and really don't want to sit outside because it was hot, we decided to take out instead. I just came out of work and there might be a dust storm on the way. And eating outside is just not gonna cut it. I'm ready to go home and just enjoy the food. The food was delicious by the way! Very flavorful!

The poke maki roll is a must! Absolutely amazing and tasted so fresh w the seaweed, tuna & salmon. Tootsie roll, spicy crab & shrimp tempura were good. 7/10

Sushi is consistent most times. Better to get a few hours after open. Find that the sushi rice is better. Happy hour prices thru week keep me coming back. Sometimes not the best cut of tuna or salmon. But overall its good and tasty!

Don't judge this sushi spot by its cover! Sushi Neko in Queen Creek might be tucked into a strip mall next to a Burger King and let's be honest, the exterior and interior won't win any design awards but once you sit down and take that first bite, it's clear this place is a hidden gem. Everything here is incredibly simple. We're talking takeout containers, paper plates, and plastic cups with lids and straws. But none of that detracts from what really matters: the food and the service are absolutely top-notch. We ordered the garlic edamame, a rainbow roll, the cherry blossom, baked lobster, and a half dozen nigiri and every single bite was fresh, beautifully presented, and bursting with flavor. The quality was honestly surprising in the best possible way. The service? Fast, kind, and helpful no frills, no fuss, just really thoughtful attention. I wasn't sure about staying when we first walked in, but I'm so glad we did. Sushi Neko is proof that you don't need white tablecloths to deliver a five-star experience. Will definitely be back.

Have had take out from here many times over the years and it's always good and fresh. Quick service, always friendly. Wish the salad was greener but the miso dressing is so good.

Always on a mission for sushi, I came across this place after getting my 3rd tattoo. It's not a fancy place, more of a casual restaurant with a laid back vibe. I remember the service was slow, but the food was good. Everything we ordered was made fresh and there wasn't anything to complain about. Oh yeah, B.Y.O.T.!! Lol That is: Bring Your Own Tajin Hahahahaha!!! There's something about it that just adds a lil "feisty-ness" to the sushi. The Gyoza was cooked just right, and with a little soy sauce it was LIT! The Viking Roll was probably our fave of them all, with the Alaska coming in a close second. Let me tell you, if you haven't tried a sushi roll with lemon slices on top, you're missing out!! Just trust me on that one! I'm not sure if this location is part of a chain, because I ate at a Sushi Neko in Vegas back in January. That one was a bit fancier. In any case, this Sushi Neko is a decent place for some basic rolls and some unique ones, too. Try it out!

    Is there a AYCE? Option

Sushi Neko is not an all you can eat. But check out the pricing and portions! It sure would worth the price!

Is this place open for dine in yet?

Yes. Although when you dine in you order up front and pay and you're served in disposable take out boxes.

We walked in a weekday night and found the dining area quite small and full, except for their final open table next to the entrance. We took that spot and found out 'the hard way' they have those dastardly uncomfortable metal chairs. Not only is the seat firm and not cushioned, the bar that wraps around pinches in on your hip. We almost left but decided to tough it out. Our server was attentive and friendly and our order came out quite quickly. We ordered a few specialty rolls like their sweet potato roll, dragon roll and caterpillar roll. I also ordered a salmon sashimi. All of the rolls were well presented and best of all, tasty! It's not near the best sushi I've had, but it filled the craving we had. The wall murals and decor were simple but classy. We also noticed the noise level was good despite many people in a small space. Overall, this is a nice little neighborhood spot for sushi and worth a visit!

We arrived a little early, so they told us we could sit at the bar & have a drink. We sat there for 15+ minutes & the girl getting things ready for the bar totally ignored us. Right before we were seated someone else took our drink order & said she'd bring them to the table. Hubby got a beer & I got a Tito's & cranberry juice. We ordered an appetizer. While we were waiting they sat another 4 with us. We all expected dinner & a "show", but none of us expected the show we got. One of the staff started screaming at another staff member. We had no idea what the female staff member was saying since her words were not in English. She was so loud & screaming in the bar area so the entire restaurant could hear her. A couple of staff members tried to claim her dow. This went on for several minutes. It was crazy. All us customers were silent & just looking at the girl screaming & yelling. The next thing we know, round two. It was unbelievable. What was even crazier was they didn't send the staff member home! No one came over & said a word. No one apologized or said anything. After all of this, they sat couple with us. Finally the chef came to the table. By this time it was 20 til 6:00. Hubby got the filet with fried rice. I got the shrimp with fried rice. The food was good. However, hubby's steak was over cooked. Thankfully, hubby told the chef he wanted to change the steak from medium to medium rare, or it would have been even more over cooked. I also watch all of the employees but one prepping the food without gloves. This used to be our go to place for, but now with all this issues this time, we will probably have to find a new place.

The restaurant is fairly large, and seems like a lot of people like coming here for family/friend dinners. Like the name insists, the teppanyaki is the way to go. Their menu isn't that large, so it was pretty easy to make a decision. I opted for the filet mignon (rare) along with shrimp. Teppanyaki is really more of a show/experience, so the food comes out to you in sections (versus all at once like at a traditional restaurant). The filet was so soft, and was perfectly rare, and the shrimp was so good. I think in the future I'd eat a whole plate of shrimp. I also got to try the yakiniku, and that was also pretty good but very sweet. Their Boo Yah Ka roll was also pretty yummy. It's essentially a spring roll, but with some spice and citrus to it. I felt that the portion was good for a large meal, but my friend who got the chef's combo definitely had enough for leftovers.

I figured a Sunday afternoon would be calm, so I decided to pop in for a solo lunch. What I Ordered: - Yuzu Mule: The drink was delicious and refreshing, so I ordered a second one. Definitely order if I return as well. - Hamachi Lime Roll: This roll had an odd texture to me, and ultimately, I grabbed the rest to go as it was a little off putting to me. The flavor was decent though I found myself wishing there was more crunch with tempura flakes or panko bread crumbs on top. - Crazy Roll: The winner between the two rolls in terms of flavor and preference. Though, I wish this roll had the spicy mayo the other one had. I'd definitely order again and ask for a side of spicy mayo that I could add to the roll. Love the soy paper option! As for ambiance? I thought country music was an incredibly odd choice for this establishment hence the 4 stars versus 5 star review. I'd prefer more traditional Japanese music, or heck, even some J-Rock over American country music. I'm guessing Sunday afternoon is a slower time, so it was employee choice. Overall, I'd visit again when in the area and recommend to friends/family.
