I called for an appointment and was told to come at 5:30. When I arrived, both workers were busy with clients, but I didn't mind because I had a book and would be relaxing in the pedicure chair, soaking my feet. Although they were both busy, it was very calm in the salon, and I liked the atmosphere immediately. I had very high hopes for this salon. However, I had dinner plans later that night, which I had no idea would be affected by the extraordinarily slow service, unexpected waits, and lack of communication to me, the customer. My pedicure finally began at 6. In the meantime, my nails were wrapped in foil, in order to remove my old gel manicure. The pedicure was performed in a very half-hearted manner (to put it mildly), considering I had upgraded to a more expensive pedicure package. Overall, it was okay, but nothing to write home about. I had no major complaints at that point. Then, it came time to remove my old gel manicure and for the woman to replace the paint with a new gel coat. (I understand this is a husband and wife team, from the reviews here.) The wife began the process, but was having trouble removing the gel. From my perspective, it was due to her technique, as I have never had issues with this before. The process took nearly half an hour, despite having already soaked my nails in acetone for an hour during my wait time and pedicure. Finally, after removing the old gels, she began on the new set. However, she literally could not file my nails straight. I am not a picky person when it comes to my nails, and I understand that each nail will not be perfect, but my thumb nail was literally filed on a slant. When I pointed it out, the woman became offended, called me "a picky customer," and handed me the nail file, then left. I HAD TO FILED MY OWN NAILS STRAIGHT. NEVER IN MY HUNDREDS OF VISITS TO SALONS HAVE I HAVE HAD TO FILE MY OWN NAILS. The woman got up and left the table. I was so stunned. Suddenly, my all right experience was turning very negative. I am not a confrontational person, and I just wanted to get out of there at this point, but my nails were half done. So, I filed my nails myself. By the time the woman returned, she had changed her tune and then told me, "Thank you for fixing your nails. Sometimes it is hard to tell how they look from this angle." She then began applying the new gel. Literally, without a word, halfway through the procedure, she stood up, and her husband took her place. He then asked me to move to his chair, which I did. He then began TAKING OFF THE GELS SHE HAD JUST APPLIED, WITH NO EXPLANATION. Again, I was dumbfounded. Then, he began making fun of the shape of one of my nails. Apparently I had offended him earlier by pointing out the odd shape his wife had filed my nails into. I felt humiliated and offended. I felt extremely uncomfortable. The man hurried along with my service. Once I was finished, I was aching to get out of this place. I immediately handed him my credit card and texted my boyfriend, confirming our dinner plans. Little did I know, the fun was just beginning! By the way, they charge $1 extra for not using cash, something I had not expected prior to my visit. The husband took my credit card over to the machine. Then he turned around and said, "It's not working." I knew the issue was on their end, and not because anything was wrong with my card. He then said, "Where's your card?" I told him, "You have it." He didn't believe me, but after searching the area for a few minutes, he found that he did in fact still have my card. Again, there was no communication. If I had had some idea of what was going on, maybe this wouldn't have been so annoying. From there, the man called someone (tech support? I don't know!) and spent about 20 minutes trying to get the card to run, only to conclude that "the internet was down." I had no cash on me. Another customer then stated that she only had a credit card and asked if there was an ATM nearby. The wife got up and left the salon, without a word. All this time, I was literally just standing there in the middle of the salon, not knowing what was going on. The wife then returned and announced that there was an ATM next door in the bar. She then walked me and the other customer (who was still wearing her pedicure sandals) into a disgusting, smoke-filled bar (which gave me an instant headache) to use the ATM. She and I withdrew our cash, and we all returned to the salon together. The ATM had charged each of us $2.75 for our withdrawal, so the wife deducted $3 from the total of our services. I immediately paid and got the hell out, several hours after arriving. What a nightmare. The icing on the cake was when I checked my bank account and found that my bank also charged me an additional $2.50 for the withdrawal. The owners are rude and unprofessional, and I have been told by many people that I would have been well within my rights to leave when the credit card fiasco began. I WILL NOT RETURN!!! read more

This is a new husband and wife owned shop. I dropped in and took a chance after shopping at the discount store next to this salon. There was a huge banner with an $18 Pedicure and $18 Full Set special. I usually decide not to take a chance at places like this due to previous bad experiences. I have been really tired of paying for my fills and pedicure every two weeks and then a whopping $20 on top of the fee for Gel polish, and add on fees galore for every lil thing you ask for. Heck places even charge you extra for a SHAPE these days. It's just ridiculous. It's hard to find a salon that considers the Gel Polish an "Add-On" if you are already getting your nails done with Acrylics. As soon as I walked in, I was a little nervous because there was no one inside except the owners but the place was immaculate as far as cleanliness goes on the surface. I was quickly and eagerly greeted by a nice lady who informed me that her and her husband would work together on my nails. She eagerly explained to me that she does not charge a lot like the "other" nail salons and that anywhere else, a Full Set with Gel would total a whopping $40-$45 easy. She's right about that. She also told me that she would do a Full Set WITH Gel next time I come for $28! I have been to places in Summerlin and couldn't even get a Gel Manicure for that price. She also said the $18 Pedicure included a scrub. After we got settled, she told me that they had only been open a week. The business interior is basic but very clean and the chairs are brand new. I also noticed that they do follow state board protocals and the implements are clean and out of sanitization packets. These are things I pay attention to very well. The husband did a Gel Polish while she worked on my pedicure. There is a decent and hip selection of Regular Colors, and the gel selection was ample and most had the matching color in regular polish displayed next to it. They also offer $20 Facials, $15 Gel Polish, $25 Gel with Manicure and there was also a full list of Wax services. I live clear across town in Summerlin so returning will be a long drive, but I will more than likely return next time I am on a budget due to the prices, and customer service. It's easy to find the cheaper places but not easy to find one with good service and quality. Both owners are very sweet and did a good job. I usually don't have my nails done but needed to get a full set quickly. I looked on Yelp and found a salon very close to me that had good reviews. So, I took a chance. I walked in and it was very clean and inviting. I asked if I could get in for a full set and the wait time would only be about 5-10 minutes since they were helping other clients. No problem with that, especially since I was a walk in. The gentleman took wonderful care of my nails, and he actually listened to my requests and did them the way I wanted. My nails feel very secure, and once I get used to them I will be giving them a work out! So satisfied with my visit here! First off, I was a walk-in and they took me right away, and without attitude like some other places give you if you don't schedule an appointment. Second, the lady who helped me actually listened to what I wanted and didn't push or force any extra services on me. Third, she was delicate and very thorough, covering every inch of nail with polish! Not like other places that rush and don't paint all the way to the edge of your nail. I'm new to the area. I though I'd pop in here and get my nails done. The initial meeting started off rough soon as I walked in the door they asked me if I wanted my nails long or short I said very short then the lady asked me if i wanted gel or regular polish I told them I don't know it all depends on how the nails turn out and they asked me over and over again like if I did not choose to get gel polish that I could not get my nails done there...lol however the guy that did my nails was cool he loosened up once I started a conversation. I do not like the way he shaped my nails at all !!!! they are very missed shaped I mean evey single nail has a different shape but this shop do have potential imma see how my nails look when they grow out... I will go back again but if he shape them jacked up again then I will not be going back. I came here after work on a Friday. I left work a little early to try to beat all the crowd. I hadn't find a favorite nail shop here in Vegas so I turn to Yelp a lot and this place had some pretty good ratings/reviews. So I wanted to try them out. Quality and service are both very important to me, price too but I don't mind paying for good quality and service. When I walked in there were only 2 customer there both getting pedicures. They did only have 2 techs there as well. I walked in and asked for a full set and pedicure. They told me it was going to be like a hour and a half wait, which I was a little confused by since they had already had the other girls going and no other customers but I get it everyone works at their own pace and maybe they are very detailed. The issue wasn't the long estimated wait time. The issue was the way they handled it. So basically they kept trying to tell me to just leave and that they couldn't help me. They didn't ask if I wanted to wait or if I wanted to come back in a hour or book an appt or anything. Then the one lady proceeds to tell the customer that she is working on "yea at least we're honest because some places say like 30mins and it takes longer". Honesty is fine and I can appreciate that but not the rudeness that followed it. So I just ignores them, and began to look up another nail shop in the area so I didn't have to look it up out in the heat. And they were steadily just trying to keep me out. Maybe they do good work but I will never know because I will never be back and I will not be recommending this place to my friends or family, I'll be actually doing the opposite. I ended up at nail house down the street which was also terrible lol, so maybe it's just all the shops in this little area lol. read more
