Found this place on Yelp after getting rained out at ROTR...my family and I are from Dayton and frequent Columbus but had not heard about 101 Beer Kitchen. Walked in on a weekend night and were seated immediately. Service was fast and friendly and the food was absolutely amazing! Fantastic beer selection but also a robust wine and liquor selection, which was unexpected. A smidge pricier than some but well worth it. Casual atmosphere with some couple dresses a bit nicer than our band T-shirt's and jeans, but we never felt out of place. Families with small kids as well as couples date night works perfectly here. 101 Beer Kitchen will definitely be part of our Rock on the Range weekend tradition from now on! This has become our favorite restaurant in town! We look forward to a date night, sitting at the bar drinking great beer and/or cocktails and enjoying wonderful food. Great bar food and an excellent, ever changing, beer menu. The jalapeno popper grilled cheese was the comfort food I wish I'd grown up on and the posole was the perfect accompaniment. The first time I went to 101 Beer Kitchen in Dublin (over 2 years ago now), I didn't exactly fall in love with it so I avoided going back as long as I could. However, with this new location opening up close to home, I was convinced by my husband to return - this time for brunch - and boy am I so, so glad I did! We have been twice in a month and there isn't a single thing we haven't liked. So far, we've had the coffee stout churros, poutine, tater tots, prime rib burrito, lobster mac n cheese, burger, and fried chicken and biscuits and they have literally all been fantastic. So good, in fact, I don't think I could pick a favorite if I had to - and that rarely happens! The only place where they lost a star for me was that, for a place with "beer" in its name, they didn't have the beer I had on our first visit and wanted to get again during our second visit in stock, even though it was still on their menu. So, other than that minor hiccup, it certainly seems that giving this place a second chance was one of the best decisions I could've made! read more

Are here last night with my boyfriend. We did call ahead which was great and were told to be there within 30 minutes. We were notified on our cell when we did the call ahead and also when our table was ready. As soon as we walked in we noticed the noise level. It was very loud and everyone was yelling to talk over one another. Granted we were in the bar area for seating, but upon walking in the front door, we noticed the noise, although this was the dinner rush hour. The food was okay. We both had the salmon which was great but there was no indication that it was spicy. It was as if the julienne veggies were tossed in a jalapeño lime dressing of some sort. The beer selection was plentiful as well. The climate was freezing! I'm so glad I didn't wear a sleeveless dress as I was very cold. The ladies who were patronizing the bar were all wearing jackets/sweaters if they had them so I know it wasn't just me. Overall okay experience. read more

Awesome!! Great variety for kids meals. Husband had the burger. Loved the fresh cooked bacon on it. I had perch sandwich. Just right amount of fish and fresh bun. I arrived with my mother for dinner. We were quickly seated and introduced to our server, M. From there it went quickly down hill as far as drinks. The chalkboard advertised an Irish Red Ale, I tried to order one, was told that was just for advertisement only. Asked for an Amber Ale, M pulls out her list and says that is not available. I ask for a Guinness, or something similar, it was suggested an Nitro Canadian Stout. Received my drink fairly quick, tasted horrible. After waiting some time, we place our order. I managed to consume the stout. And then reviewed what is on tap in the small book. Saw many IPAs and seasonal beers, not what I'm wanting. Then saw a Belhaven Scottish Ale. Our meals arrive, and i ask for the Belhaven, I was told it was not available. Also noted during our wait other patrons who were seated after us had received drinks and meals way before us. Server asked me if I wanted another stout? I declined. The meal itself was excellent. Nicely prepared and tasty. The server was horrible, never checked on us to see how we were doing. Arrived when we were finished asking if we wanted dessert. Again declined. Paid our bill and tipped accordingly. On way out, bumped into manager, and voiced our displeasure of the poor brew selection. He said he would look into it. Don't know if it was M's first night as a server, but they need some more training. Not sure I will be going back anytime soon. read more

We walked in, well I walked after my friend who drove her wheelchair in.The man at the hostess station totally ignored her, looked over her and asked me how many. He then sat us in an obviously closed section as no one else was ever sat there and our waitress had to come from a different part of the restaurant. I will say our waitress Heather with a B was phenomenal and helpful and attentive. But she was the only highlight. We enjoy trying different restaurants and venues and have never felt more segregated and prejudiced against than we did here. Even at restaurants that we couldn't go inside and had to eat on the patio. You need to train your staff that just because you are in a wheelchair or have a disability doesn't mean you should be hidden or ignored. We have never felt so segregated when going out to eat.. The owner reached out and apologized for our experience and I appreciate that so raising the stars to 3 because we loved our waitress and thankful the manager is aware read more

Definitely good at happy hour and they always have at least one witbier or wheat ale on tap! Be careful because happy hour is only good in parts of the bar ( I can't stand that fine print BS). This is our 3rd time here. First time was just me with my sister and we went to the sawmill location. Absolutely, loved it everything about it. 2nd time was with my husband at the Polaris location. I couldn't wait for my husband to try it. Atmosphere and food was amazing. My husband said "best food he's had since we moved here" (back in Jan). Tonight, we both worked a long day and didn't want to cook. So I suggested 101. Wow, I really don't know if we will be back to this location. We sat at the bar no one said "hi" or "what are you drinking" for about a good 20 minutes. People sat down right next to us and got their drinks before anyone acknowledge us. Now,I'm not one to complain but I feel like you need to let people know what's going on in their business. Otherwise, how can they grow or get better? Just my two cents. When I go to places like this, when nobody acknowledges you, it makes believe that customer service is dying. I've been in the customer services industry for 25+ years so I know what I'm talking about. It really hits me the wrong way when the customer service is horrible. I think people just "deal" with it. I've always enjoyed this restaurant but our experience on 3/18 made me question if I would return. We were seated in the bar area for close to 2 hours. Ordered starters, drinks, and then no one came back to reorder drinks or a meal. It was over 30 minutes before our server came back to ask if we wanted more drinks and even then didn't seem interested in our table. We order food which was good, but again no one came back for more drinks, or to acknowledge we might have been ready for checks. When another server came by he helped us and brought us our checks, all which were wrong. That's when the original server came back with the right bills but still just acting like we were wasting her time because she hadn't rang in all of our drinks correctly. The entire time we were there she served the table next to us but never even made eye contact with our group. Like I said, I've always enjoyed this restaurant but maybe next time I will recommend going to a different 101 beer kitchen. read more
