On our way to Mendocino stopped here for dinner. The rating and reviews were great; without hesitation we decided to try this place. Small Thai place, not many indoor seating, but do have outdoor dining. Welcomed by the two staffs there. They were very nice to us and made sure we are comfortable. This place has a nice ambience, very neat and well maintained. Chef came out to take our order. We ordered the Classic Thai Fried Rice - Chicken, Spicy Fried Rice - Tofu and Japanese Eggplant - Chicken with steamed rice. We requested for the medium spice level. She just memorized the order and walked away. We were a little worried that whether we are going to get the food we ordered or not. When the food arrived, all those worries went away. The order was spot on. Classic Thai Fried rice was kind of plain in taste, but with the sauces it was really good. Spicy fried rice wasn't spicy for us because we opted for medium spicy and the chef suggested to try their hot sauces along with it to adjust the spice level. The best among the order was Japanese eggplant. Totally loved it. They haven't used much soy sauce in their food and that made a big difference in taste. Absolutely loved and enjoyed the service there. May that be the chef or the other lady who was assisting her. And the food, delicious! Really enjoyed it. May be it's a small place, the food and service are great. No wonder they have such high rating! If you are passing by this area, please try this place. Recommend it! read more

Was looking for a place with vegetarian options after a long drive and this was the closest one to us. The server was awesome, very responsive. We ordered green curry and Vegitable soup. There were two Thai places across from each other. This was near Starbucks so it seems to be the busiest of the two and had hihmgher yelp reviews. Plus they had crab fried rice. Excellent portion of crabs. The rice wasn't Jasmine rice, which is disappointing. It seemed like Calrose rice which luckily I like too but I prefer Jasmine. Great service. I'll just pile on to the pile-on of praise! We stop in Cloverdale virtually every time we pass through. We used to go to Thai Spice, but since it was sold to a new person, we found it very disappointing. (Stinting on the protein but not on the prices; last time through, when 101 was closed, the chicken satay was totally dried out and flavorless. No thanks!) But THIS place is so good that I'm finding I don't want to pass through Cloverdale on a Tuesday because it's closed. I'm planning my trips around this restaurant's schedule! Sounds crazy, until you taste the food. They take special requests (I wanted pad Thai with lots of vegetables, but no onions or bell peppers) and serve them up accurately, as another poster noted. All the food is succulent, tasty, and cooked just right. I'm so glad we don't live in Cloverdale, because I can't get enough of this restaurant's food! It's not cheap, but the portions are generous -- two people could probably be happy having one dish and and an appetizer -- but why not buy a dish each, and take it home for later? Enough said right there because that place is off the chains delicious.Thai Way has been on my radar for 5 months now and it was worth the drive up there. This establishment sits in a small shopping center next to a gas station and a Starbucks. It holds a small and intimate dining room. The food preparation is open and flowing. There is a warm and kind greeting. The owner and staff is humble and sincere. They really busted their butt! THE FOOD..... HERE WE GO! Its flippin amazing! We ordered a variety of food that came out quickly and efficiently. The fried wonton has a tasty cream cheese within and a fresh bell pepper that popped! The Spring Rolls had the best side of warm peanut sauce ever. It was mind blowing. My pumpkin curry blew me out of the water and their Pad Thai was one of the best we've had in ages. The food here is always amazing. I recommend the cream cheese wontons, yellow curry, pad Thai, drunken noodles and of course Thai iced coffee. A few cons are that the restaurant is very small. When I placed an order for pick up I was informed they were very busy and there would be a long wait time. It seemed that they didn't want my business. I didn't mind waiting so I proceed with the order and when I arrived to pick it up they only had 2 tables filled. I would recommend avoiding busy times and try to go for lunch. read more

On a recent trip to Wine Country, Anderson Valley, we were already becoming wine saturated and were in dire need of a lunch break. Our partners in crime had been raving about this little Thai restaurant they loved. So, it was a stroke of luck when the "other place" we had already chosen let us down. Our collective "let down" was short lived. This is a small cafe in a non-descript location, with no particular finesse, just good food and pleasant service. We took advantage of the Lunch menu, a filling meal for exactly $10 that included a salad and rice. I was craving soup, and the Tom Yum soup "lunch special" was exactly what I needed. A good sized bowl, full of chicken and mushrooms, with just the right amount of spice for my otherwise timid tongue was quickly set in front of me. For an additional $3, I could add a shrimp roll appetizer, 2 whole shrimp individually wrapped in wonton wrapper with their little tails still sticking out, then fried just enough to get the wrapper crisp while the shrimp stayed wonderfully tender. Well, heck yeah, why not? Nice surprise, the shrimp came with a Thai cucumber salad. I was extremely happy with my choice yet had plenty to pack up for another meal. Mr. B ordered the Red Curry Pork, medium hot. It was not that spicy, really, and the coconut red curry was delicious. Portion size, perfect. Thanks wine buddies for the suggestion! A very nice surprise for such an easy-to-miss cafe. The price for our meals were great, especially considering the fact we were in wine country. read more

Located behind the Starbuck's coffee at the busy traveler's service station area in South Cloverdale. Excellent authentic Thai food. Low prices. $10 lunch special filled me up. I have amazingly large food consuming capacity. Owned & operated by cheerful Thai immigrants. The culinary concession they make for their mostly Anglo clientele is the significant reduction of chili spice & heat. Nice lady, the owner was very friendly. At the time her helpers were not there so she's the only one doing everything. And she was very apologetic. We wanted a decent meal after a day of wine tasted and found this place on the way back home. It's a small little place, but they were able to seat us right away for dinner. I got the bruschetta, coconut soup, and chicken pad si eiw. I started with the soup and it was pretty good - not the best I've had but decent. Then we got the chicken pad si eiw and it was pretty good as well. Nothing spectacular about this dish, but nothing to complain about either. And then we got our bruschetta, which I thought was an appetizer, but I didn't mind that much. It's pretty much shrimp with avocado on top of bruschetta slices with a peanut sauce on top. Sadly, this wasn't my favorite as the shrimp wasn't super fresh and the peanut sauce tasted kind of weird. Overall, it's a decent place to grab a bite to each when heading back home to the bay. read more
