Super yummy!! Wings are great crispy- we had buffalo & dry rub. Burgers were blue cheese, mushroom Swiss & pimento cheese. The pimento cheese burger is fantabulous- and they make it in house!! Just ok, not fabulous... We made an online reservation for 6:30 on Saturday evening, when we arrived the hostess had no idea what I was talking about. I did receive a email confirmation, but she didn't want to see it. She said, how many? I told her 2, 30 seconds later she looked at me and said party of 6? No, just 2. We were sat close to the bar. Next, our waiter was very abrupt and didn't seem pleased when we ordered water. Not everyone can drink, pretty sure he was also working the bar. I realize that helps their tickets and tips be higher, but I try tip extra with that in mind. When I asked about gluten free options as mentioned on the website? That somehow seemed like an insult to him and snapped back that you have the option of a gluten free bun on any sandwich. When pressed he did say that a couple of the meals were as well. The menu had a notation for meals without gluten, however nothing was marked. My boyfriend ordered the chicken fried steak with mashed potatoes and pinto beans. Waiter said the beans were homemade and very good. The chicken fried steak and potatoes were very good, but the beans tasted straight out of the can. I ordered grilled red fish and asparagus with a salad. The fish was very good but needed to be served on a bed of rice and was a pretty small serving. There was no thought of presentation and there was nothing warm and inviting about the whole experience. Honestly, we can get the same level of food just about anywhere and be treated better most any place. Overall it was a disappointment and I doubt we will go back. We came here for a Galentines day date night. It was hard to hear because it was so loud but the food made up for it. For an app we got the fried pickles and jalapeños. Honestly I've never had friend jalapeños. The breading on these was SO GOOD, and there was a tiny bit of heat. For my entree I got the chicken fried steak with potatoes. The only complaint was the meat was over cooked and chewy, but the breading on it was really good. The gravy they put on top is also Smokey not like normal gravy. If you give this place your money, make sure you dine-in. Do not order delivery or take-out, as you will likely be disappointed. This place has really gone downhill, in my opinion. Been eating here for years, and used to be a good local option. Every time I order delivery the order is completely wrong or the quality of the food is absolutely sub par for what you're paying. $20.53 for a club sandwich. I included a photo. There was mayo on every piece of bread, it was literally dripping mayonnaise. The bacon was mostly overcooked and solid fat. Very disappointing. It was an okay experience. We wanted to try something new so decided on this place. It was smaller than I expected. The seating seemed a little too close for my comfort but maybe not for most people. The food was decent but I don't see us making the drive from Frisco to go back again. I rated it 3 stars only because I'm neutral about my experience. Came in on a weekend and the place was empty. Sat outside and waited for service. Food was ok, although they upcharged everything without any notice. When we got our bill we found they had added dollar charges for condiments and extra charges for substitutes. I have no problem with extra charges provided I know of them when ordering. The drinks had an added up charge for extra alcohol although you couldn't tell they had it. The surprise up charges were brought to the attention of the waitress and she did nothing to resolve them. It's great to see an independent eatery on west 380. I love to see a mom and pop restaurant verses a chain. We came in on a Wednesday night, it was busy but not on a wait. The place is definitely family casual. There were lots of families inside the restaurant. Our server was attentive and quick to greet us. I had the blackened Catfish with a side salad and green beans. The Catfish was flavorful and cooked perfectly. The side salad was crisp with fresh greens. The green beans were cooked with bacon, that's my favorite way to eat them. The hubby had the chicken fried steak. He has found it lately hard to find a hand battered chicken fried steak verses a frozen fillet. This was spot on perfectly cooked homemade chicken fried steak smothered in cream gravy. 11/17 is our new favorite place! Not only is the atmosphere so relaxed, quiet, and super clean but the food & service is beyond excellent! Best pot roast I've ever had, amazing meatloaf, the hubby loves the blue cheese burger. Their fried green tomato appetizer is phenomenal! Queso, salsa and chips are super tasty too. My son had the chicken parmesan last time we went and said it was great as well! We cant wait to go back every time so we can try more of this fantastic food! Let's face it, mose of us are ordering more take out because of the continued covid and now we got the monkeypox outbreak so it makes more sense to just do take out or delivery. Before talking about the amazing food, I have to applaud the service. We have not had such good service in almost 2 years. From the friendly greeting when we walked in to the outstanding service by our waiter Rishi. He recommended some of his favorite menu items, checked on us several times, and smiled each time. He seemed to truly love his job. About our food: we started with the cheese sticks. They were very flavorful and a huge portion. I got the fried chicken sandwich with sweet potato fries and my husband got the pot roast with mashed potatoes and green beans. Everything was delicious and filling. We will have dinner for tonight with the leftovers. This place made such a good impression that even though it's a 45 minute drive from us, we will be back. You should try it too! read more

I truly really thought we loved this place... after eating here 50+ times I thought this was my go to place for quick easy bites. They had hiccups because, ya things happen- and from one business owner to another shiz happens. But after multiple times of door dash being cancelled we realized something was up? Could we of made a payment error? What about did we order food that was out of availability? Mmmm.. maybe they had a temporary issue? Nope. They admitted they KNEW the issue was the time needed to be adjusted but they hadn't. So, even though our system ordered before hand, it was our problem they got it later. Either way, they haven't changed their DoorDash times and don't seem to plan to. The manager seemed pretty "meh" about it. Between that and the disgusting food handling with ice cream coming in a plastic bag, food missing left and right, and my desserts coming at 50% capacity- it was the straw that broke the camels back. I really like this place and have been many times. Last Sunday was a big letdown. It began with our waitress coming to our table and apologizing about how she looked because she had just dropped a ticket? so she was having a panic attack. Poor thing. I try to be sensitive but if you are prone to panic attacks, the restaurant biz is not a place for you. Also nothing says "I'm your server and the service will be subpar tonight" by starting your greeting Iike this. We ordered drinks and an appetizer of chips and salsa/queso. Had to ask three times to two different servers over half an hour about our easy appetizer, as I watched others after us receive theirs. We ordered our dinners and the salads came out even before our appetizer. As the evening went on our server looked more "buzzed" and kept addressing us as "friends". She was sweet but kinda out of it. Our app came finally followed swiftly with our dinners. The dinners were all pretty good as I recalled in previous experiences. All and all it was fine, but nothing like previous visits. I saved the ticket so that next time I will ask not to be seated in her section. Also maybe the kitchen was off that night? I don't know. My husband and I were having drinks and a meal at the bar this past weekend and from what we witnessed from the owner and the way she treated a guest who had a glass of wine spilled on her from a server, we won't be going back. She yelled at the guest like it was her fault and made quite a scene when the guest was actually very calm about the whole situation. Needless to say, she was very unprofessional and made herself look foolish to everyone in earshot. Food is mediocre at best so no love loss here. McKinney has too many other great options with more coming in every day. Ambiance in a restaurant is just as important as the food. I remember doing a review on this place when they first opened because their food, no matter what you ordered, was to die for! I mean to the point that when they finally joined DoorDash we would order it almost every day. We haven't eaten there in a while but decided to order them for Mother's Day and I'm not sure if they were just busy today, which is very likely, or if they just have a different chef? Ingredients? I don't know but the food was a 2 star rating at best. The wings were so dry that I could barely get good chunks of meat off them and was spitting out dry, unchewable pieces. Hubby even said his salad was bad and the queso was alright? But used to be better. Just kinda sad that this was my Mother's Day dinner. Hopefully it's just a rare occurrence. We will eat there one more time and if nothing has changed we will not come here anymore. If they are better, then we are back in business. How refreshing to have a Neighborhood restaurant literally 4 mins from my home for a hearty comfort food. The atmosphere is welcoming to all ages and very relaxed attire. The menu avails to any appetite you may desire and I must add very tasty. They are known for the Pineapple Martini which I is quite tasty in addition to the Chocolate martini and Mules. For appetizers we selected the loaded fries which were so Delicious that I forgot I was only supposed to eat a couple. LOL! I selected the Wedge Salad w/ grilled shrimp for dinner and my husband ordered the Catfish w/ Greenbeans...needless to say we only took home a portion of the Wedge Salad because I filled up on fries & cocktails .
