    Wedge salad

My company took me and several other employees out to dinner to celebrate our anniversary of 10+ years with our company. The food was exceptional. The service was out of this world like always. Some of us had dessert of us had cocktails. I couldn't have a cocktail because I was heading to work when I was done and you should be drinking and driving anyways or drinking and going to work. I ended up having the steak with the brussels sprouts and the wedge salad which of my favorite meal. If we go in there, the food is just as you can cut the steak with a fork it's never have to send it back never complaints about it. It's very tough for me to find a restaurant that actually has a perfect meal.

The flat bread was good. My salmon was on point. Wish the rice had some flavor and there was more Brussels sprouts but all and all good meal. My family loved there choices. The service was great very attentive even with it being very busy. The place was nice, loved the high top tables. Will be back to try the other options on the menus that caught my eye. See ya soon.

Stopped in for Father's Day lunch. Place was filling up on a Saturday around 1pm. We started w soft drinks, seated at High top booth across from kitchen. Had a large platter of nachos. Came straight out of the oven. Covered in cheese, sour cream, green onions and shredded chicken. Very tasty and the three of us could not finish before our entrees came out. Would recommend these nachos if you are looking for a great starter.

It's been a while since we had lunch at 110 grill. The menu seems to have been updated and they offered a wide variety of gluten free options. Went on a Sunday early afternoon with a friend that had gluten allergies. We started with the gluten free Bang Bang Cauliflower and spicy sweet chili sauce, it was good. I had the fish and chips with coleslaw, my husband had the kale salad with grilled chicken, our friend had the gluten free hot honey chicken sandwich with onion rings. Our waitperson was very friendly and helpful with describing meal prep for gluten free options. The fish had a crispy coating and was delicious, the fries were hot and well done which is how I like it. The coleslaw was creamy with a slight crunch. My husband's salad was fresh and tasty. Our friend said the chicken sandwich was delicious. I had a couple of the gluten free onion rings and they were nicely seasoned. We ordered the gluten free lemon beignets, they were fluffy and delicious. Meal costs were reasonable, but their cocktails seemed a bit pricey ($14 for a margarita) for the size (8 oz glass filled with ice).

I had no idea they do buck-a-shuck oysters on Sundays during football season. If I'd known earlier, I definitely would've been here all season long! We grabbed a dozen and they were fresh, cold, and delicious. Our server, Karen, was absolutely outstanding from start to finish. She convinced me to try the beef vegetable soup, and I'm so glad she did. She mentioned that the beef comes from the ends of their filet mignon -- and honestly, it was the best beef vegetable soup I've ever had. Rich, flavorful, and she even split it into two cups since we were sharing. Such a thoughtful touch! Before we left, my boyfriend wanted to gamble a bit, so I planned to take another glass of wine onto the casino floor. I told Karen I wanted to try something different, and she surprised me with a mini wine tasting of three options. I ended up choosing a wine I never would've tried on my own -- and loved it. Karen truly made the experience special. Stellar service, great food, and awesome vibes. We will definitely be back!

You cannot go wrong with anything on the menu, but I'd like to highlight one dish - Chicken Tandoori Fries! These fries are crispy, loaded with flavor with a bunch of chicken and cheese on it. I got this dish to share, but I truly needed my own to enjoy it thoroughly. The dining room is absolutely massive and I'm sure it could fit a large number of people, so I don't think making a reservation is ever necessary. It is strange that I never see many people dine in, but you could see they're very busy with takeout orders. The staff are always friendly, timely and knowledgeable about their menu. Decor wise, there's not much to write home about. Outdated with lots of wood but, hey, it's a pub. Which is why I didn't expect fancy restaurant prices. The evening started out fine. Our friendly young server brought us a basket of warm Irish soda bread with real Irish butter, which was delicious. Our water was served in cute logo glasses. Strangely enough, the beverage menu listed wine prices but not cocktail prices. And we wanted Margaritas, which weren't listed. When we asked our server, she immediately said they didn't offer them. Since they have a full bar, we asked why. I honestly don't think she knew what a Margarita was. She said she'd ask the bartender & came back to tell us they could make them. We asked the price. Again, she had to find out... $12. We agreed, but when she returned with two drinks in Old Fashioned glasses, I refused mine. The drink was literally 4 sips! My dining companion kept hers & said it was nicely made but not worth the price. I ordered a ginger ale instead ($3). We both ordered fish & chips ($21) and, again, were disappointed with what we received for the price. The chips appeared to be hand cut & were tasty, but the small, thin fish fillets were breaded in what I believe was cornmeal. Edible but certainly not what you'd expect from an Irish pub. Where's the beer batter? Neither of us liked the tiny cup of coleslaw. Afterwards, we asked for a dessert menu. Again, no prices. There were three desserts & several coffee drinks listed. We opted for Irish coffees ($13) and were pleased with the coffee, whiskey, brown sugar and fresh whipped cream concoctions. With tax & tip, the total bill came to $105.76, way too much for this kind of place. And, they ended up charging us $13 for that mini-Margarita. Whatever. We won't be back.

It has almost a cult-like following after reading the reviews. In my experience, everything I have ordered was okay ... but nothing incredibly amazing vs. the price. I have not seen higher menu prices outside of Manhattan. Two sandwiches and one beer came to $78 after the tip. You read that correctly ... a burger with fries, a pulled pork sandwich with side salad and the cheapest draft beer on the menu ... $78!!! The wings/tenders were over $20 ... in fact, other than the side upgrades, nothing on the menu was under $20. If you are charging $25 for a 'diner burger' and fries, it better be an amazing burger. Mine was no better than Five Guys and less tasty than a Shake Shack. Given the prices, one wouldn't expect that you'd get potato chips with your burger. In order to get French fries ... it's a $5 upcharge. A side salad is $9. I don't mind paying more for quality ... and Blackie's quality is probably high as their meats, vegetables, potatoes, etc. all list the origin place. However high the quality is, for me anyways, the food doesn't seem much different taste-wise, than anywhere else that is much less expensive. Having said that, the portions are huge. The nachos look like they are meant for an entire table and everything is served on metal cafeteria-style trays. Good for them though because the place is huge and always packed. The crowd here is very typical 'Rhode Island'. Expect to see a lot of anchor tattoos, lifted Jeeps with no doors in the parking lot, young 20 - 40 year old crowd who probably played high school football or baseball back in the day and still enjoy telling stories about it. There are no shortage of cross-fitters here. There is a nice buzz of conversation and energy ... but this is not the place you want to go if you don't like crowds. Inside is weird. The walls are painted black and the chairs/tables look like something in a boutique hotel. It looks a little more like a corporate hotel lobby or wedding function hall vs. a restaurant ... especially given the typical crowd. This is not the sports bar it appears to be on the outside. Overall, my 3-stars may seem harsh. But that's an average score ... and honestly, my food has always been average. Maybe I need to try the pizza. If you have deep pockets and like huge portions, you probably won't be disappointed in this place. The service is great, although 2 people working a packed bar, you will wait a bit if you need anything. Also, I came to watch the big game and for some reason they hung pendant lights which dangle down from around the bar. While they make everyone look better, the TVs are blocked by the lights. Very odd.
