Nice place with good cocktails and food. We sat outside and really enjoyed the music and vibe. Service was great, bussers coming by as soon as we were finished with our plates, constantly refilling our waters. Cocktails were fantastic. We ordered the coconut shrimp which I thought was a bit over cooked but had a great sauce. I had the mahi tacos which were very good; the mahi was cooked well. Husband got the Cubano which was phenomenal - cooked perfectly, fantastic bread and flavors. Would come back!

Don't bother making a dinner reservation before a show, awful experience. The food was mediocre and we got seated at a low top table near the front. On the surface, that sounds OK, but all the people who didn't pay their insane prices for food and drinks ended up standing in front of us blocking our view of the show that we essentially paid a premium to see. Seriously, save your money. If you really want to see a show here, go for the show only.

Went on a Wednesday night to see the Fabulous Arnetta Johnson! The show was Great! The atmosphere was comfortable & the food wasn't bad. Our waiter was attentive & checked on us frequently enough to my satisfaction. I definitely recommend 118 North to see a live show.

Although very over priced we were pretty impressed with our food. I read reviews ahead of time and did the research to know what not to order and what to order. The 118 burger did not disappoint. Surprisingly delicious and very filling. It's a double burger which is my favorite. And has Taylor pork roll on it which I've never tried before. I don't even like pork roll but this was delicious! The fries were also amazing. My bf loved his cuban - the bread looked great. We ended Up getting the last chocolate olive oil cake - it was really more like a brownie not cake. It was really big we shared it but I could've downed it on my own lol. It was amazing... the espresso beans and fresh cream and cherries were delightful. Such a good dessert. It was very rich so be aware. Overall we had a great experience.

Who's mad at this place. Music is always a good time at a bar especially when it's good music. You're gonna get a crowded spot and service is gonna be difficult the more crowded it gets. Yes they took a hot minute to clear the tables or flag em down for more drinks but it all gets done. Eat first before the show starts of you want a good spot and put up with the crowd once a show starts and enjoy the vibes. As for food we all enjoyed everything we orders. It's pretty great for a bar establishment. Prices weren't tooooo horrible for some good food. We got the brisket nachos, chicken flatbread pizza, coconut shrimp and sweet potatoes. All were winners in my eyes. Dudes especially loved the sweet potatoes and nachos. Me too. I liked the shrimp, the fillings were different from hawaiian but had a kick too it with something creamy added to the sweet chili dip. Loved the music and the vibes and the music

Excellent Gastro pub meats super cool music venue. Even if you are not a live music person you might want to swing in for a meal here. Let's start with food. The season inspired menu keeps their popular standerds while mixing it up with additions according to the seasonal vibe. Last night I tried a few new menu items. The deviled eggs with smoked trout row were simple perfection. Recently I've had deviled eggs elsewhere and I have noted that the egg white part has been rubbery. Not at 118 North, The whole egg was cooked to perfection. Yum! I highly recommend starting with an order of theses. And there is another new menu item called sweet potato fries. They are not exactly sweet potato fries like sticks and more like home fries? They absolutely outrageously, phenomenally delicious! The combination of the maple butter and bacon topped with the Remoulade and scallions made every morsel bite delicious. I literally licked the plate/Iron skillet that it came in. I would recommend getting these as an appetizer or even a dessert or just a snack. I will again, maybe tonight. They change the soup to a butternut squash that is reminiscent of their fantastic broccoli cheddar soup in the best way. I love their soup! In the past I've devoured their epic cheeseburger and recommend their short rib nachos and Brussel sprouts as well. They've added a Bavarian pretzel and also offer actual entrée dishes Like roasted chicken with sweet mashed potatoes, Bronzino, filet mignon salad, Poor boy catfish and so on. There's so many good choices in wayne and 118north totally competes. We have seen many bands at 118North ranging from funk, Rolling Stones, reggae music and Thursday night Grateful Dead tribute bands. we've even seen a couple opening acts with cellos and such. This is a very intimate setting to see live music and while I can be tight sometimes it's always has a terrific vibe. If you are afraid of super loud music please bring earplugs. I did last night and they seem to help. It's not death threateningly loud but it wouldn't hurt. It's also nice note that the women's powder room has some stock items and is kept clean. The bar is great with delicious drinks it's priced fairly and stocked nicely. The servers are super great friendly and talented. I love this place!

After a couple 'okay' experiences, I recently went back to Triple Crown with my wife for a Saturday…read moreevening dinner and was genuinely impressed by the improvement in service--attention, speed, and energy. From the moment we walked in, the hostess greeted us with a smile, another welcomed us in by holding the door, and a third (a waiter) said good evening and welcome! These may seem like insignificant gestures but when going out to eat, no matter the restaurant (chick fil a knows haha), the treatment of patrons is important. Especially with the costs of dining out. Our waiter, Aladdin, was exceptional in every sense--energetic, kind, light hearted, and treated my wife and I with the upmost care. This should be the norm everywhere but sadly it is not. Dead Fearless management, take care of Aladdin--he is a national (Triple Crown) treasure! Food was delicious--highly recommend the Delmonico and potato puree! Can't go wrong with the apps and salads of course. We'll be back!

It was brutally loud as well; couldn't hear anything people were saying at the table. First, the total bill was about $500, and no one even ordered cocktails. That's a lot of money for what you get. I ordered the salmon, and it was microscopic, barely warm, and nothing special. It was literally a tiny piece of fish with almost nothing else on the plate. It looked more like a prison meal than something from an expensive restaurant. I've had salmon at many other restaurants where it arrived hot, was a generous portion, and was actually enjoyable. This was a real disappointment. The service was just okay. The staff clearing the plates seemed to have no idea what they were doing and actually asked us to pass our plates to them. Patrons shouldn't have to help clear the table, especially at a restaurant charging these prices. The servers constantly came by asking how everything was, but I wasn't interested in spending my wife's birthday complaining or sending food back. I shouldn't have to say, "My salmon isn't hot--please take it back." We also asked for a doggy bag, and they left items out of it. We reminded them three separate times, but they didn't seem to be listening. Someone else at the table complained that the Caesar salad tasted off. I could go on, but that's enough. Overall, the experience was disappointing, especially given the prices. I would not go back. Last thing. They have bread on the menu for $12. it is nothing more than about five tiny croissant rolls - nothing special. They don't offer free bread. Talk about taking advantage of patrons.

And the ambiance is really nice -- fancy farm to table with plush seating and pillows. If you're going to get an appetizer, I would highly recommend getting the snack board to share (unfortunately this was eaten before I got to take photos). It includes delicious biscuits paired with the most perfect sausage gravy, thick cut bacon, fruit, croissant, warm donut holes, deviled eggs, and dips/jams. THEY ARE INCREDIBLE. The gravy is jaw-dropping and perfect with the texture of the biscuit -- trust me, you have to try it!!! The donut holes are fluffy and soft fritters. I also really loved the deviled eggs' flavor. For my entree, I got the breakfast pot pie (in the photo) which had the same incredible gravy and biscuit crust as the appetizer, topped with a crispy fried egg. My sister had the Challah French Toast (peach compote) which was also incredible -- perfect without being too sweet. Both were huge portions. Service was also excellent -- our waitress very kindly brought out our toddler nieces' kids' meals first along with our appetizers. She even brought out a little sorbet on the house for my sister's birthday (which also was very very good!)

There was…read morea lot of snark and attitude detected, and we were a big party, which means she's automaticaly raking in 20% on a substantial bill. And we all got alcoholic drinks, and many with desserts. The Smoked Old Fahioned was very not good. It smelled nice, but tasted like cherry cough syrup. It was like smoked cherry cordial with a splash of well-shelf bourbon. It's probably not literally well-shelf... just an emphasis on how unpalatable this was and therefore expensive for what it is. I didnt pay $15+ for some cherry cordial. Waitress vocalized distaste when we wanted to spit checks - which we told her before placing orders. Then she gave sh** about seating arrangements; since we wanted to split checks she ordered us to sit by how checks are being split. That's a new one... She said she would have to write separate checks... an obvuous approach... I endorse that plan smh. Wouldn't that be easier when it comes to "splitting checks" when all is said and done? To treat us as separate tables but still tack on 20% per check? As we are wrapping up dinner and everyone else was looking over dessert, I told her she could bring mine now since I have a 45 min drive back to CC and I have perishables. People are now eating their dessert and she's still fussing aroundat her kiosk. I eventually approach her and asked for mine again. She got super frustrated and unprofessional, and said us wanting to split bills is (exact words) "tumultuous." Does she even know what that word means? "I thought you wrote separate checks?" But she's trying to figure out how to split like $8 rolls among like 12 people. She was like, "Then who is paying for the rolls?" That is her job to find out. I am a guest, not the host of the party. I only know three other people there. She walks to the table and says (again..exact words), "Who's paying for the rolls?" As if we are planning on dining and dashing with basic dinner rolls. Why? Because we are a table of minorities? Had we been a table of all white, would she have asked HOW we would like to have it split? I was in the dine-in food service industry for several years. I had thought splitting checks was a very common practice, and I absolutely did NOT ask patrons to sit in specific order. White Dog in UC didn't do that either (or anywhere else). Perhaps White Castle is more within her playing field. Some courses in sensitivity training may aid in her professional development. And they wanted to charge like $4 per person since someone baked cupcakes.... reminder that most people also ordered dessert on top of all this. They can go pound the sand.

The experience was a little bizarre. Their website says "Rosalie doesn't allow reservations for 1,…read moreplease just walk in". I walked in, as directed, just for a very flustered man at the front of the house to fumble with his system for a good 10 mins. Telling me there was a table, then taking it back and saying there were no tables for the night, then saying nevermind and making me a reservation for two (which I would have done if not discouraged by the website) for half an hour later. At this point I already had a very bad taste in my mouth from the level of chaos. I waited outside for my table. When I got to my table I will say my server was very nice until a strange comment came up at dessert. Once I ordered my dessert, he left and came back with two spoons, saying "I brought two spoons for us." It almost seemed implied he'd join me. I dine a lot alone, voluntarily. Most of the time it's after work and I really don't want, let alone need, company. His comment gave me anxiety as I wondered how I would politely tell this man I wanted to dine alone. When he brought the dessert he did not join me but made sure to say "I'll be back for a few bites." Maybe it was a joke but to me it was very odd and made me pretty uncomfortable. I gave three stars just for the Cacio e Pepe. It was very good. I did (without giving tmi) have a very sick stomach after the meal and the morning after so I wouldn't return just incase that was the cause. Like a said... a weird experience.
