Interesting spot in the middle of Wayne. Lots of character, live music was decent. Apps were solid, drinks were ok, and our food was on the south side of ok due to bad service. We were a party of 4 and our respective meals were delivered separately, 1 at a time over 30 mins. So by the time we ate together, everyone's food was cold. read more

Recently got take out from 118 North. The babaganoush was a perfect consistency; the charred bread was a spectacular accompaniment. Impressively, the Mahi tacos kept the crispy texture despite take out status. It was paired with a perfectly ripe avocado. Would have personally liked a little more slaw and sauce, but the taste/texture was really good. But most of all, try the brookie! Holy cow. The brownie part of the brookie was one of the best I've ever had. (And I come from generations of scratch bakers). The brookie was warm with cold vanilla ice cream on the side. Well done, 118 North. This place is an awesome spot. They have a wonderful food selection, with nightly rotating specials. The service we had last night was TOP NOTCH. The place was slammed packed, and there was not a single misstep. The waitress, Lily, was a rockstar. She was just spectacular getting us drinks, bringing food promptly, and helping suggest top choices! The food was delicious, and the drinks, too. The live bands are so so fun. We loved it! Very cool restaurant and venue. We came here for drinks and to watch a show. The place gets pretty crowded and they try to serve food at the same time which makes the place that much more chaotic. We had a terrible experience with a waitress with dark brown curly hair who kept barreling into the crowd to serve the tables in the front. We go to crowded bars often so we're used to waitresses getting frustrated having to work their way through a crowd but there's a polite way to do it and a rude way. She pushed us countless times out of the way and we watched her do the same to an older crowd in the front. Other than that experience we had a fun night. read more

Have hardly ever been more disappointed in a bar. Measured pours for a 19 dollar cocktail? 8 dollars for a can of michelob ultra? Blow me. This is the inverse of "champagne taste on a beer budget". okay. the food was not bad but was not the greatest. we got brussel sprouts (Asian sauce but salty), brisket flat bread (too small for price) and mussels (little expensive but worth). i'd go back to try a couple other things if i happen to be there for an event but i wouldn't voluntarily go there again for food. perhaps more for live music and vibe. read more

Went to check out a band and have dinner- small menu but great choices. We had the pork belly and short ribs, both were done perfectly. Drinks were great too- I think I had the muddy water which was whiskey lilac and lemon. The venue is small but set up the right way. Well def be back! read more

I went to 118 N in Wayne PA with my team mates. They had a decent live music scene. We had a couple of bitters and an avocado cocktail. It was worth trying, but I'd say that the avocado cocktail was so-so. The waitress, Andrianna did a good job practically ordering for us with the popular dishes in the restaurant. We had the filled garlic bread and the fried chicken - they were good ones! The only reason I knocked off a star was because of the prices, which did seem a little too high for the quality and ambience. read more

Im 24 and they took my Drivers Liscense, accusing me of it not being real. They then googled [my] address and questioned me about my personal home and neighborhood, which made me feel extremely violated and uneasy. After the questioning, they still continued to refuse to serve me. It makes me uncomfortable that these men now know exactly where my home is and what it looks like. I am unsure of what provoked this aggressive behavior on their part. I will never go back. I made this account just to warn people. read more

My friends and I, 3 21 year olds, a 22 year old, and a 25 year old were excited to try some new restaurants on North Wayne recently and were especially enticed by the promise of live music. Unfortunately our experience was marred by an overprotective and rude manager who accused us of possessing fake Pennsylvania IDs based on "misaligned holograms" and kicked us out of the bar and continued to accost us outside on the sidewalk. I believe the owner needs to reconsider this persons employment as they are costing their restaurant money and customers. And by the way, no live music in sight :( read more

They moved tables against the wall to allow people to stand to watch the show. WTF? Where are you supposed to put down your drink or better yet sit down? We live nearby but never visited or ordered from 118 North. Our county (Delaware) had advanced to the yellow stage during the Coronavirus pandemic which means there was no indoor seating but we could take out. Wayne Avenue was very festive as many of the restaurants had outdoor seating, there was music playing and everyone was so happy to be outside. We ordered fish and chips and an old fashioned, and they did not disappoint. The staff was very helpful and worked hard to make sure all guests were accommodated. We will be back soon and look forward to when we can eat inside. read more

A real GEM for Wayne PA. Great music...Great food. The Charcuterie, Pork Belly, Flatbreads, Short Ribs... all outstanding. The unique blue cheese wing sauce is also worth the trip. On top of that a different style of music every night. Mostly original bands. I've heard a lot of great music in the last several months. read more

Table for four last night. Terrific atmosphere, great music on stage inside (two different solo acts - pianist and then Acoustic guitar/singer). Brought another couple with us that had never been to 118. They've really upped their game on the specials. Mushroom and artichoke pizza, steak salads, lamb burger, and a few apps were all delicious. The cocktails we prepared perfectly. The service was outstanding. Not sure who our server was, people just kept coming to attend to us - very well coordinated. This was our first visit here after hearing how good it is. After getting an unpleasantly warm draft beer we were served our food which was somewhere between mediocre and blah. Sadly, the waitress was on a par with the food and beer. In fairness, the beer was replaced cheerfully by the bartender as we couldn't get the attention of our waitress, even though the place was mostly empty. Not sure what the attraction is here. The hottest new music venue on the Main Line. We went for the opening weekend performances which were fabulous... great ambience and energy. Powerful and fun. Decent beer and food options. They just opened and didn't have dessert options yet, but wee were promised dessert is in the plans. Not the most inspired specialty cocktails, but they have a full bar. So, this place used to be a great place to come hear music. Apparently there is new management and everything has changed. The menu is now super expensive and, unless you have a reservation for dinner, there is no place to sit down. (unless you are lucky to get a spot at the bar) This is not my kind of place anymore. read more

I step outside for 3 minutes and they want to charge me a cover charge? I'm their best customer today and they give me beef? Bad service. My jacket is still at the bar 6 feet from you. Thumbs down. This is a review for the Tailgate Under the Tent music event in which 118 north was "serving" drinks and food at. Besides the terrible acoustics (couldn't hear each other at all and we were sitting at the back) and the lackluster seating arrangements, the service was well below par. We waited an hour for two simple glasses of wine. They never entered our order of a pizza but we got my fish tacos a hour later- cold, small, and very blah for what we paid. My husband had to go up to figure out our order three separate times and the kid ringing up the orders seemed very lost. The manager did come over and hurriedly apologize for the wait for our drinks but nothing about the food. For that super quick attempt at remedying it I bumped them up a star. I felt bad for the one server they had working having to walk across the street multiple times with orders and then with the most confused look on her face try to find the minuscule table numbers to deliver them to the right place. Nice thought to have music and food to support local businesses but I have definitely seen it executed a lot better elsewhere. read more
