Sunday morning for a little breakfast. The service bring organized and efficient is a nice improvement here. We had the #8 combo with biscuits, gravy, eggs and sausage patties. The biscuits were nice and fresh (I hate stale biscuits). We also had the breakfast sandwich and swapped out potatoes for cottage cheese. Everything was good.

I've been coming to this place for several years now. I really enjoy the food and the family that runs this diner is the absolute sweetest. The food is exceptional and that part luckily hasn't changed much. The service has always been wonderful here, but the last two times that I've visited, the service has been practically non-existent. I've noticed that the family hasn't actually been working on the weekends (which is when I usually come) and they've gotten a completely new staff. Kudos to them for being able to scale back and take some time off. However, the new staff doesn't care as deeply about the service as they do and it shows. Stopped by for breakfast today and it was moderately busy. I was greeted and I sat myself. The young gentleman who took my order seemed nice but he was very robotic. Nobody checked on me while I was eating but the young white guy made sure to deliver my check as soon as I was done eating. In fact, I had the same experience the time before that. They took my order, delivered my food, never said a word after that and then gave me my check. It's the like the friendliness is gone. Prices have increased a lot but so has everyone else's prices these days. The older Hispanic lady was the only one who actually spoke to me. She is the last one left of the original staff. She recognized me and we struck up a conversation. She told me that she was only working weekends now. I hope she doesn't leave. Right in the middle of our conversation, the white guy starts waiving his hands and motions for payment. I found this to be extremely rude. Once I made it to the counter, homeboy just stared me down like a hawk as I signed my receipt. Didn't say a word, just stared. So uncomfortable. I guess he wanted to make sure that he was getting some kind of tip even though it wasn't warranted to be honest. How ironic is that?! Providing minimal service but expecting to be rewarded for it. It's the "new" American way :/. So, I probably won't be back for a long, long while. Luckily, there are tons of other great breakfast places in this area that I can choose from. It just sucks because I know how great this place used to be. Hopefully the new staff can improve their service for the sake of the business reputation.

Yes! This deserves a 5 star! Not only was the food delicious. Every staff members customer service was impeccable. Derrick himself made the experience over the top, with his playlist of old school R&B classics. He was extremely friendly and attentive the entire time. He even opened the door as you were leaving. The food was promptly served. I had the crab cakes Benedict 10/10. I was torn between the hotcakes and crab cakes. Derrick can read a room, he knew I was torn because I wanted something sweet! lol I ended up getting the crab cakes. Very flavorful. It was my Mother's birthday and we were going there to get a waffle and she loved it. Good spot to stop by and enjoy some good food and the long lost customer service that's hard to come by these days.

Family owned and run little cafe offering American breakfast located in concord? The twist? They offer all various kinds of mimosas, including flights for you to try out! We visited this little cafe on our road trip out of town and we enjoyed our experience. The service was super friendly and nice and the portions were fairly large and generous. My wife ordered the Benedict and I ordered the NY Steak. Just a note, they'll ask you how you want your steak cooked and you may answer to them how you want it cooked, but it's going to come out well done. Food was hearty for breakfast and that hit the spot. There is a private parking lot right next to the restaurant with easy access.

1800 Cafe is a family owned diner located in the Plaza Concordia shopping strip across from Food Maxx on Monument Blvd. They're open from 7:30 am- 2:30 pm and serve breakfast all day. They have a nice array of breakfast and lunch dishes and have a ton of different flavor mimosas, including mimosa flights and beer. Have yet to try any yet. We've been here 3 times and the Cowboy Hash is our go to! SO good! The Cowboy Hash has chopped bacon, mushrooms, diced bell pepper mixed with home fries, topped with cheese and comes with your choice of 2 eggs any style as well as your choice of toast. I usually ask for the hash to be cooked well and it comes out crispy and delicious. Try this one, if you like breakfast hash, you won't be disappointed! I've also tried the breakfast sandwich which comes with hash browns and it was a little underwhelming. Haven't tried any of the other dishes, but I'm kind of a stickler for ordering the same thing if I find something I really like. Service is always really fast and friendly and I love supporting family owned restaurants. If you're looking for a new breakfast spot, 1800 Cafe is a good one to put in rotation!

The server, daughter of the owner is a young sweet beautiful lady. Polite and friendly. We came here on 01Jan2023, a holiday, because the place we planned to go to is closed. So I'm grateful. This is our first time so this review is based on first time visit only. We entered and got seated right away - choose which ever table is vacant was the rule. Place was clean. The owner and the daughter are both professionals. There was a table who was irate because of how slow the kitchen is moving (we did not experience that, to me it's reasonable given it's a holiday and they are not fully staffed). They both approached this issue professionally such that they did not let the customer's remark and actions personally and did not let their emotions control them. Good job! Okay on to the food. Well, shall we start with the mimosas? It got me excited with the plethora of flavors they offer! They also have mimosa shots, which composed of 3 shots of whichever flavor you desire - of course I got this: Dark Desire, True Love, Seashore. Dark Desire: I'd call this the summer drink, light and crisp. True Love: For the sweet - too sweet for me Seashore: The all season - not too sweet and so tart but not as light as Dark Desire Very Berry Waffle: I ordered this knowing it will come with cold fruits but I did not expect frozen fruits - a bit cold for a rainy cold morning. BUT I still enjoyed it. This would have been better with hot or warm fruits. Special #6 - We ordered over easy eggs. Done perfectly. Top of the egg was seared while yolk is cooked and still runny. The hashbrown? Oh I love. Crunch on the outside and definitely not wet in the inside. However, it lacks salt and pepper? I supposed that is a plus especially for people who watches their sodium intake. The sausages I preferred them a bit browned. But that's a preference. They are still good. Juicy. The French toast even it was already cold when we got to it, they were still delicious. At first I thought it was too sweet for my liking but it was my sense of smell that betrayed me, because it was not. I enjoyed it. The cinnamon is just enough to give flavor but not too much that it gets a bit bitter. The sweetness was enough to make me crave for more but did not leave me with diabetes. Bathroom: CLEAN. Parking: it's in a plaza so free parking but not much because there are other shops/restaurant in the tiny plaza.

Very Good Food !! Service was good and we got our food promptly, not a long wait time. So we search for good biscuits and gravy and this place scored. The dude and I came here on 11/12/21. Since it was a long week and pass couple of days were pretty emotional draining we looked for a place that had princess friendly cocktails and this place kept coming up. They have seriously like over 50 mimosa creations and i'm literally kicking myself of why I always passed this place up. Parking was pretty easy to find. The outside of the 1800 Cafe is nothing but class and vintage style. When we walked in we were immediate greeted by Staff or Owners who were very sweet and soft spoken. They informed us we can sit anywhere. The dude usually leaves seating arrangements up to me but since it was inside dining we sat by the door. My dad always said "Always make sure you know who is coming through the door" so 20 something years later I like to face the entrance so we can see who is coming in - habits. The booth we sat at was very comfortable and good observation of the how this place is ran. They were getting A LOT of Door Dash orders which warmed my heart as I like this place and want them to stay in business. The inside was kinda empty but picked up off and on. They are Open from morning to evening like 8pm or 9pm but the menu says other wise !! They stay open past 3pm. Which I think was the main reason we didn't come as we thought they were closed. Anywho, I am the most indecisive person ever when it comes to picking food or drinks and even cocktails so went for the Mimosa flight which consisted of 3 shot class of mimosa of my choice YAY! The dude picked out one and I picked out 2. The left one was something with mint which I didn't like "It tasted like tooth paste". I couldn't finish it so the dude liked it and finished the drink. I did like the other two mimosa shots which was Better Half absolutely my favorite and first kiss was good. I would definitely get Better Half again. Very delicious cocktails. The menu is very extensive and I was in the mood for CHEESE. I was craving the gooey goodness! The nice part is that you get to customize your grilled cheese. I got sourdough bread, along with cheddar, and fresh fruit. I loved the meal but I think I picked the wrong cheese as my sandwich was very dry. I forget Cheddar does do that. I should have selected American or pepper jack. But it was edible. The fruit was delicious the best part. I would rate the meal a 6/10. I did add bacon too. Still dry. Not the end of the world but American Cheese next time - now I know. The dude ended up getting the Chorizo Scramble which he rated 6/10. I was not sure if it was beef or pork chorizo so I didn't try it (I can't eat beef). The dudes pancakes were really good in my opinion but I can't eat pancakes or else I'll be sick but I did try a tiny bite and I rated it 8/10 but the dude gave it 7/10. Delicious and huge too! They gave him ample syrup too. Overall, This place was super low key, staff was busy but attentive, friendly and helpful. The place was very clean, smelled good and they do require you to show proof of vaccinated to dine in (There is a sign on their door) do they check? I'll leave that for your experience. It's an ordeal itself I can imagine for business owners. Looking forward to coming back to try more of those mimosas! And maybe a different meal - like an egg white scramble or something light. I would recommend to give this place a try.

My girlfriend recommended this restaurant for brunch and I'm a brunchhead all day long. Today, we ordered a corn dog for kids, a chicken fried steak and combo #6 with a Belgian waffle on the side. I was going to order a chicken and waffle but they have chicken strips and I was craving dark chicken meat. I was very surprised to see the menu have more options of mimosas than I've ever seen in my life. So, I had to get two different flavors to have a fuller experience. I was quite happy with the options of mimosas that I chose. I think the ruby red grapefruit juice is my new favorite. All of us were very happy with our meals, and were excited enough to come back and try something new. Overall, we are excited to return and super in love with the delicious and large portions!

Shrimps Omelet. Filled with regular sized shrimp, no baby shrimps here! With a side of fresh and sweet fruit. So good!

Wowza! Amazing breakfast place in Pleasant Hill and I wish I knew about it earlier! The restaurant has a warm and relaxed neighborhood vibe to it and the employees are very friendly. First off, your cup of coffee is AWLAYS topped off! I did not have to look for a waiter or have to walk up to someone to get a refill. A good strong coffee is a MUST HAVE at any breakfast establishment for me and if you can keep those refills coming, I know you are an on point server with eyes of an eagle! Thank you! An extensive breakfast menu i.e., eggs benedicts, waffles, pancakes, regular combos, omelettes, etc. (YAY!), big portions, and at a reasonable price equals WOOT WOOT for me! Must trys: 1. Shrimps Omelet. No baby shrimps here. No sir! This omelet has the regular big shrimps. With sautéed onions and cheese....SO GOOD! I'd get a side of avocado to complete it. It also comes with your choice of toast and hash browns or home fries. I got sourdough toast and a side of fruit which was a SWEET medley of banana, sweet strawberries, grapes, blackberries, and plump blueberries. 2. My mom devoured the Fajita Omelet plate. She ordered the hash browns and from the golden color, I knew it was cooked just right! Note: My mom doesn't eat spicy food so if you don't either ask for them to either leave out the salsa/pico de gallo or put it on the side. Can't wait to try a waffle or french toast here! I'll be back!

My boyfriend and I were looking for a different breakfast place and came here on a recommendation from our roommate. It took us a minute to find and then another few minutes to find a parking spot. It was packed! We were immediately greeted when we walked in the door and were able to find a table right away. I ordered a bacon, mushroom, cheese, and cream cheese omelette and it was delicious! We decided to come here on an early Sunday morning recently and when we walked in we were greeted right away by the friendly owner and staff. We were only the second party in the place so we were able to sit and enjoy our breakfast with our baby girl. My husband ordered the chorizo scramble and I ordered the country skillet with sausage. My husband said the chorizo was a bit greasy but there was a generous amount of it in the eggs. I really liked my country skillet. The flavor of the gravy was on point and a good consistency. I could've used more sausage in the skillet but it wasn't a big deal because the portion was already pretty huge. Definitely will be back again. 3 stars for the grub, an extra star for service. Got my typical hamble & shreddar (minced ham, scrambled eggs, and shredded cheddar), with home fries and sourdough. He got his typical eggs & chops, with fruit and sourdough. Got a side of biscuit & gravy. Eggs are cooked on the soft side. Scramble was wet, over-medium eggs were way closer to over-easy. Next time we'll know better. Country potatoes are well done, biscuit and gravy was good, pork chops were lightly breaded (yum), fruit salad was only watermelon and cantaloupe (yuck). All in all, we dug our meal and are adding 1800 to our diner rotation. read more

You would think that breakfast would be an easy meal to cook, I travel all the time and have to eat out regularly. I can't tell you how many terrible meals I have had on the road to start my days. Here at the 1800 Cafe, the breakfast was perfect, I had eggs over medium, sausage and an English muffin. The muffin was toasted and crispy, the eggs over medium were just right, I hate when they are undercooked. the sausage was particularly tasty, nothing fancy but of great quality and flavorful. The hollandaise sauce on my wife's eggs florentine was perfect and amazing! Her hashbrowns were done to perfection as well. I ordered what I think is a breakfast coffee shop barometer. Chicken fried steak and eggs with eggs over medium. CFS was chopped, chunked and formed. Let down. Eggs a bit undercooked but okay. Home fried potatoes were very good. Food over all pretty good. Good sized menus. Not too many choices but enough to keep everyone happy. Would recommend to all even vegetarians. We'll be back. read more

We found this place through a couple of friends that they had been coming in every weekend for years. We absolutely love this place! My kids love their Mickey Mouse pancakes, my wife and I have tried almost have of the menu. Every time we come here for our family breakfasts we had enjoy because food is so tasty. Waitress are so fast and consistent even though they are busy and most important that they always have a smile. Highly recommended read more

Visited for breakfast on a recent Sunday. The parking was a little tight for the burbs, looks like the lot is shared with a few other businesses. No wait for a table, friendly staff. The interior is odd, would describe it as unfinished or an afterthought. I suspect that this business was something else before the current incarnation. But that didn't really have any impact, the table and surroundings were clean, the dining room pretty full with happy looking customers. And they definitely pass the decor savings on in their low food prices! Eggs and bacon were fine, but pancakes (a little gummy) and waffle (dry, barely warm) were not great. Coffee was diner-ish. The specials looked really interesting and I wonder if they might be more inspired. They had pot roast sandwich and a hash on the list, both sounded great. Would be curious to see how they do outside breakfast standards. Grading on a curve, this place is a solid three stars. read more

I was looking for a local area that had food and also had Wi-Fi, and this was the most promising place that I could find. I drove over after work, ready to eat and work on my lappy. A nice girl (greeter/waitress) greeted me and I sat down. There was a handful amount of people sitting around, eating and seemed pretty happy. I decided to follow my no-gluten diet and go for the pork chops with apple sauce and went for the strawberry lemonade. It took a while for the food to come out, but for $9, I got a pretty large side salad, rolls (I didn't eat it! Gluten-free!) and two HUGE pork chops and mashed potatoes and broccoli. The pork chops were pretty awesome, especially for $9... instead of apple sauce, there were caramelized apple chunks in a caramel-esque sauce on juicy pork chops. It was pretty good, and I will definitely be back. If you have a night to work on your computer and want a nice meal with friendly workers, this is the place to be. Check it out! read more

Was in town for Peter Frampton, and came here for breakfast before heading home. The owners are very nice and attentive. The breakfast was really good and the service. Fiance and I both had the two eggs with linguica and bacon,respectively, english muffin and toast. We had great iced coffee that they provided as a special treat for the ride home. I docked a star because there were very loud children yelling and running around with little supervision and we were up very late. Ask anyone who's been to Concord Pavilion how long it takes to leave..I had checked in on Yelp for 10% off our order, but when the bill came the discount wasn't there, but shortly after paying, the owner came up and reimbursed us in cash for the discount! That was so special! I was very impressed with our breakfast and service, so if I come back for a show, that's where we'll go. I definitely recommend the 1800 Cafe. read more

This is one of my go to breakfast places. It's small and not fancy at all, but clean! The food and service are great! I don't think I have ever had to wait for a table for more than 10 minutes. If there's one thing I like about a breakfast place, it's a server with a great attitude. I found one this morning in spades. I don't know what her name was, but she made my day. I had the chicken fried steak, with hash browns and a side order of biscuits and gravy. Best tasting B & G I've had in a LONG time. I was really impressed with the food. But, better than the food was the service. My server was cracking jokes and singing while she was walking the floor. She was a pro, too...the diner had a good number of people in it, and she was the only server. No problem for her...she worked that floor like a surgeon. At one point a patron in the back started watching a youtube video on his phone. He had it up loud (one of my pet peeves...bring your earbuds, people!!) but our server was on him like white on rice. Nobody even had to say anything. She said, "Can you please turn that down, hon?" She said it nice and loud, with authority in her voice. Went to this place with my family for a late lunch. Parking was horrible. Had to park way at the end in a lot that wasn't even an official lot. Glad my car was there after lunch. The food was great. Got the Chicken and Waffles. They were both good and tasty. Everyone enjoyed their meals. After lunch, my son left his sunglasses on the table. This place really took us by surprise! My dad and I were trying to find a place to go to for breakfast on the 4th of July, but the first few businesses we tried were closed. We happened to drive by this one and saw it was open so we tried it out. It was amazing! I love the fact that they have many menu items to choose from, and customer service was excellent. I gvie this place a 4 star for the food, and the extra star is for the service. We came here for breakfast on Mother's Day. They had a special mimosa on the menu to celebrate. The staff is very friendly, and efficient. I couldnt clearly identify the owners but it gives off the impression of being a family-run restaurant. They have a good-sized menu, with breakfast and lunch (burgers and sandwiches) to choose from. I will definetly be coming back here. If this is the case, they need to remove themselves from ordering apps and better communicate with the customers. This restaurant has new owners and staff except the cook is the same. The previous owners were asian husband and wife. My wife and I went there several times to eat. The food was good and owners were nice. We interacted with the wife the most. One time i went in alone and the owner/waitress/wife took my order, breakfast for me always, i ate, she brought the check and because the place was empty we chatted. She asked me what i was going to do that day and i told her what ever i said, i dont remember. She then asked me if i would take her home with me, which threw me off guard. They serve brunch, lunch, and dinner, plus a happy hour Monday through Thursday with cheap bar bites and discounted drinks. Great experience start to finish. I'm afraid of sharing their specials that the place will start getting so packed where we can't get a table anymore lol but here it goes. I have came to the Hop Grenade for years and they have never disappointed. Their beers are delicious and always have a great menu to choose from. They have clean accessible bathrooms and parking is hit and miss since it is in the middle of downtown. They do allow dogs but only outside not inside. So they have their wing special on Wednesday's which is the big secret I didn't want to share. One because their wings are the best wings I've ever had. On top of that their flatbread pizza is amazing as well. Like they make their own dough or something. But this is the brewery to hit up if you want some delicious food and great beer. Put it this way, for me the wings and pizza are that good where I order take out lol. Oh ya and their service is top notch.

I've been coming here with my coworkers on Wednesdays for trivia night, and the taco truck is always a hit!!! Especially because they offer vegan options for my coworkers. Their beer selection is also fantastic. I've tried several, and the bartenders really know their craft. They always help you find something you'll enjoy. There's both indoor and outdoor seating, making it a great spot for your fur buddies, and you're even allowed to bring your own food if you want. I highly recommend this place for good times, great vibes, and plenty of variety.

Occasionally I get an idea that there must be good food somewhere in Concord around brunch time. Oh, SO wrong.. and it definitely doesn't help that the locals keep the bar so low by being way too easy to please, rave about crap i wouldn't subject any friend or family to and... check the pics here - How is this different from hospital food? I'm thinking diners during the weekend breakfast hour are out of their minds. Are they the burn outs that couldn't handle an active social life on a friday or saturday night? (they're probably also in heavy supply at the consistantly busy local 24 hour fit where obesity is hot!). I had to go for the crab/egg benedict since there was a couple nods towards it on Yelp and when it arrived to the table it was lukewarm, congealed, sterile looking (like the restaurants interior) and smelled like it had already gone through the digestive tract of a hospital patient.. This place does awesome Eggs Benedict! I went to this diner feeling skeptical, but it was convenient so that's where we landed. In the mood for Eggs Benedict, I decided to give them a try, despite having so many disappointing ones at other places (Hollandaise sauce must be tricky to get right). What a surprise! The sauce was creamy and tangy with the eggs cooked perfectly. The Canadian Bacon added just the right amount of smoky flavor. Excellent job. The waiter was very nice, warm and friendly. The only downside for me was that the home fries were rather bitter -- maybe charred too much? So I ended up "helping" my lunch partner with his french fries, which were good. Last night I had the Cheese Burger with Bacon and all the trimmings. French fries cooked to perfection. My Lady had a Spinach salad with Bacon, Chopped egg, red onion and chopped tomatoes. We both had a cup of Cream Spinach soup that was delicious and fabulous cheese cake for dessert. We eat here twice a month, breakfast, lunch or dinner and everything is always very fresh and very good. The service is excellent and the people are wonderful. I am not from Concord and needed Internet. I stopped in here after eating next door and they said sure use our Internet. I said I was more then willing to buy a soda or something and they said don't worry about it. Did take their menu to go and they offer some great deals between 7am to 10am for $3.99. I highly recommend this location. It is hard to find a business these days that will say sure come in and use our Internet for free. I will be coming back and eating here. read more

This is the best restaurant for home made style food. The owner " May" use very fresh vegetable and meat which makes the food so delicious and the owner have the speical home made sauce for the salad and the steak. the service was fantistic. the place is very clean and comfortable. if anyone is in Concord area. make sure u stop by. because this restaurant its definitely recommend!!! My Husband and I have been here about 10 times. The Waitresses are great and always friendly! We have liked almost everything we've ordered. I wouldn't say the food is amazing but it's good, and the prices are great! The only downside is parking. It's really hard to find, and it can get kinda backed up into the driveway area. So if you live close enough I would suggest walking instead of driving. read more

Was referred there by a friend and was pleasantly surprised at how clean and friendly thie staff is. Service was very prompt and the huge selection of items on the menu served my palate very well. I found the new American diner that I like to always come to! All food is made from scratch. Not too many places do that anymore. A recommended dive to visit! I've only been here twice, but the 1800 cafe has definitely won my heart. It's such a friendly house, just like at home! I went there for the first time to try $3.99 breakfast special. We went to the Cafe for dinner last Saturday. I ordered so called Little Shanghai Salad and Cajun Steak. My wife ordered a Crispy Chicken Breast Salad. From the reviews I see, i should have come for breakfast-not dinner. The server was not friendly. I understand that you cook a burger on a greasy grill, but the bun was saturated with grease, it was as if they fried the bun. Sorry, this is not for me. read more
