I had a wonderful lunch at 1803 where everything I ordered tasted very good. The Cup Signature Gumbo was amazing and the absolute best part of the whole meal was definitely the flavorful jambalaya rice inside it. I also really enjoyed the Cajun Fried Chicken Sandwich, which was cooked perfectly. It was an excellent meal from start to finish. The bar has a lively and tropical atmosphere.
Stopped in for a late night dinner at 1803 and was pretty hairy with my experience. As someone who didn't eat seafood, I was a little more limited than my friends. But that's on new, it's NOLA inspired, so you're going to have plenty of seafood options. The burger I had was pretty good, we were happy with the service, and the restaurant itself was very cool looking. I'm rarely in the area, but if I was again, I'd be happy to try some more of their food.
Amazing place for hanging out and eating good! To start off we ordered the Cajun Hot Corn and it came with some of the best chips we've ever had (amazingly seasoned)!! My husband ordered the shrimp po-boy sandwich and I ordered the dirty dirty duck bowl. Both were great both were delicious. I don't typically like going to NYC restaurants twice since there's so many to try from but we'd definitely come back here again! Qualify service and cute postcard on your way out.
Great Creole restaurant with an awesome vibe! Came here on a weeknight. I made sure to make reservations ahead of time, since the restaurant tends to be busy. The place was crowded, but we got a table on the second floor right away. For appetizers, we ordered the Honey Chili Brussels Sprouts and the Cajun Shrimp Skewers. Both were delicious with a ton of flavor. 5/5 for appetizers. For my entree, I had the Cornmeal-crusted Black Sea Bass. It was also really good. The fish was seared perfectly, the vegetables and lemon butter sauce combined with it perfectly. 4.5/5 for entree. For dessert, we shared the Hummingbird cake. I enjoyed the cake filling, which was coffee flavor, more than the rest of the cake. 4/5 for dessert. I think next time I might order the Beignets or Bread Pudding. The atmosphere gets a 5/5 for me. And the service was very good. I think this is a great restaurant to experience the New Orleans vibe without leaving NYC.
Another one of those spots I've had bookmarked for a while and needed an excuse to be in the area to be able to go out of my way to try them out. That excuse was finding a new primary doctor and was in the area. So here we are. Someone told me that this was the best creole restaurant in NYC and I have to say they might be onto something. I came in for brunch alone, so I was able to get seated by the bar. Otherwise it sounds like you really need a reservation to be able to get a table. I can only imagine how busy they get for dinner. They had a jazz band playing on the mezzanine level, so you really feel like you're in NOLA. I started off with a cup of their Signature Gumbo ($13), which was a great way to start my meal and a way to warm up from the cold winter. This consisted of oysters, crab, shrimp, andouille sausage, tomato with cajun rice on the side. For entree, I ordered the Crawfish Cake Benedict ($24), which tasted amazing. Unlike your typical Eggs Benedict, which is on an English muffin, sub that muffin out with a crawfish patty and yeah...I'm not eating regular eggs benedict again. This comes with a side salad and home fries. And yes, I was very full and satisfied afterwards. Definitely am coming back again to try out other food items and their dinner menu.
The vibe of 1803, at night, was amazing. Great spot to hang late night with a friend or two. Great service, and an all-around good time. As for the food, I have to give it just an okay. We weren't impressed. The food was ultra salty, the salad was mediocre, the jambalaya was average, and the beignets were fairly subpar. It wasn't a great food night for us, but the drinks, vibe, ambiance, and service were amazing. That said, not sure how I'd rate this spot. I wish Yelp had an "I'll let you know the next time I return" button. I wanted to LOVE this place, but I don't want to shoot it down because our food could've been a very off night. You know how sometimes it's a fluke? That's how I somewhat feel. I'll rate it a 3.5 because I want it to be a 5. We'll reconvene when I return for my second review. I need another opportunity to assess. Meanwhile, gone fries and drinks! That's all I can vouch for right now. Happy 2026!
This is a 4.5 star review I've now been to 1803 twice: once for a work happy hour and once for a friend happy hour. I genuinely can't believe I didn't know this place was so close to my office. It's so funky and classy. The bar is beautiful and there's a good amount of space, with two floors. For happy hour, which goes until 7pm, I've had a number of spritzes and white wines. Both were good and were ($10-12). I also had a slider, which I really liked. It was nice and juicy/flavorful, although a bit undercooked. I also had some vegetarian nachos which were really good with beans and peppers and cheese etc. These were both around $12 each as happy hour items. Staff is always super nice!
Came for brunch on a rainy Saturday. Loved the decor, there was a live band doing covers of top hits, the staff was very friendly and accommodating. We both got a full rack of ribs, Mac and cheese, and brussels sprouts to share. The ribs were so tender. We also partook in the bottomless margs. Very strong!
Came for a quick dinner since we were in the area ... The Knick's playoffs was in full swing so we just decided to grab a bite on a Saturday night without a reservation. We were immediately seated upstairs with a view of the game. The downstairs was full and there was def a vibe with Knicks fans in house. Our server was nice and checked on us throughout our meal. For the appetizer we tried the charbroiled oysters with the sourdough bread and finished those in seconds. That was good but that's pretty much where the good food ended. The jambalaya had a great amount of protein but it was dry and flavorless. I was thoroughly disappointed. Hubby tried the salmon and that was lacking flavor as well. New Orleans food is supposed to be robust and rich in flavor. The food was just bland. Food doesn't necessarily need to have a lot of salt to be good but there was just no salt or that great New Orleans Cajun flavor that I adore . I would say the portion size was decent. I remember coming here a very long time ago and I don't recall not liking it. Maybe because I hadn't been to New Orleans yet. The drinks were tasty but the liquor was minimal. I usually order 2/3 rounds of drinks but I was so disappointed with the food we just decided to head home.
My friend and I wanted to try somewhere new for brunch and came across 1803 NYC on TikTok. Definitely glad we did! We started with the charbroiled oysters and spinach dip - both were so good. The spinach dip especially caught our attention because the texture was different from any other we've had. It seemed like the spinach and artichoke were blended instead of chunky, which actually made it super smooth and flavorful. For drinks, we ordered a pitcher of French 75, which gave us about 8 glasses total (well worth it ). For our entrees, we shared the pancakes and jambalaya - both were amazing and the portions were generous. What really sealed the deal was the service. Everyone from the hosts to our server was incredibly kind and attentive. Once they found out it was my birthday, they surprised us with frozen watermelon margaritas - and I don't even like watermelon, but this drink was actually good! The space itself isn't huge, but it's a nice size for the area, and there's even an upstairs balcony with extra seating. Prices were also really fair considering the portion sizes and quality. These days, too many restaurants are overpriced with average service, but not here. I've already told all my friends about 1803 NYC and will 100% be back. Highly recommend for a fun, flavorful brunch spot in the city!
My sisters and I had an AMAZING experience on Friday night thanks to Bridget and the manager, whose name slipped my mind (I think it was Francisco). I'm so sorry if not but I do know they were both so lovely to the three of us. We loved everything we got especially the chasing goat cocktail, steak frites and charbroiled oysters. We also enjoyed the coconut bread with jasmine butter. Bridget and the manager also tried their best to accommodate us in terms of moving our table. It ultimately didn't work out but it didn't matter to myself nor my sisters because we thoroughly enjoyed the vibes the food and the drinks. The entire staff was welcoming and made sure we had a great experience. Thank you so much for celebrating our birthdays and making sure we enjoyed ourselves. I will definitely return.
The food here was pretty good but the star of the show to me were the grilled oysters. They were so good and packed so much flavor I had two orders of them. My only complaint was that they were very small. For my entree I had the shrimp etouffe it was pretty good but didn't have as much flavor as I was expecting especially since this is supposed to be a cajun restaurant. The beignets were a disappointment - they had no flavor and was on the dry side. I found the service to be a little slow and the drink prices were on the higher side but overall it was a pretty decent experience.

I came to 1803 NYC looking for some Cajun flavors and had a nice dinner overall, though a few things could have been better. The baby back ribs were definitely a highlight -- super tender and slid right off the bone. I just wish the sauce had been a little thicker so it stuck more, but the flavor was still really good. The fried chicken sandwich was tasty, and the jambalaya packed a lot of spice (so if you love spicy food, you'll enjoy it!). Just keep in mind it's not exactly a traditional jambalaya. The Caesar salad was pretty average, so I'd probably skip that next time. Service was a little hit-or-miss, but the vibe of the place is fun, and for the area, the prices are pretty reasonable. I was really excited to try it, and while it wasn't a "wow" experience, it was still a good night out with some solid dishes. read more

First time here & it wont be my last ! Ive walked past this gem several times and instantly regretted it once i entered. The staff was welcoming and they know a new face when they see one. I instantly went for their grilled oysters and babieeeeee you wont regret it . I was MOANING with every slurp of this oyster. I wanted to lick the plate !!! Dip the bread in the sause !! Im sorry but thy best oyster i ever had... hands down ! $21 worth it !! Just get it please. My waitress Marie was so sweet and recommended the gumbo soup . My GOD ! Why ?! I went for Valentine's Day with six other friends. We sat in the basement level and it was not crowded. Half my friends are veg and they had plenty of options. The cocktails were very delicious and innovative. My friend had a drink with a wine infused ice cube and everyone really loved their drinks as well as their food. I had the jambalaya and fried chicken. I was a bigger fan of the fried chicken but have never been a big jambalaya fan but my friend liked it. Everything was very pricey however the main entrees were pretty large portions. The appetizers were good - got deviled eggs and escargot - but pricey and not a large portion. Cocktails are $16-18 and mains were about $25-35. Great place for a large party. Made reservations easily for 7 people and we could've made space for 2 more people at our table. Food and drinks are good but quite overpriced. read more

I came here for brunch one day with my Fiancée and her dad and it was awesome. I've already taken my mom here for dinner with the live music so I wanted to try the brunch this time. The service was quick and kind! We ordered the charbroiled oysters, crawfish cake Benedict, croque madame, the gumbo and the bread pudding. I have to say... those were some of the best oysters I had in my life. I would come back for that alone. The Gumbo was also delicious and had a good balance of flavors. The bread pudding honestly blew me away as it wasn't too sweet and each bite left you wanting more. Overall, amazing brunch experience and I can't wait to return! read more

We found ourselves @ City Hall after the M103,was diverted; we were planning to have brunch in Chinatown. We remembered 1803 from about 3 years ago and decided to go there. Without a reservation, we waited 15 minutes for a table. The Latin trio was just startng a set as we were seated. We ordered Margaritas, char-broiled oysters & Cajun baby back ribs. What Serendipity! Great atmosphere at the bar where they have live music on a Friday night. The cocktail menu is small but solid. The food was tasty - we ordered a few plates to share including the mussels in curry sauce, fried green tomatoes, crusted catfish and shrimp wrap as appetizers, and jambalaya, gumbo, ribs as entrees. Everything was full of flavor. However, despite the music and cocktails, the service could be improved - we had multiple servers on our table and felt as though we were being rushed though. Our entrees arrived at the table before we were even half finished with the appetizers, and we had no room on the table so we had to hurriedly move things on to plates. We were also asked by servers if we were done with our food (even when we were clearly still eating/ as my friend was spooning food into her mouth). When we finally finished, we had to ask for the check multiple times before we got any help. Expect a bit more from a restaurant in the Tribeca area, maybe they had an off night. read more

We tried the baby back ribs, mac and cheese, and fish tacos, each dish flavorful and perfectly executed. While the oysters were unavailable, the gracious manager offered us a complimentary bread pudding (rich, comforting, and absolutely worth ordering on its own!). The ambience is warm and inviting, and the food was even better. Definitely a spot I'd return to. read more

Came the first time and liked it but that was a year ago. Wanted to come back and try it again but everything was different. The food, the ambiance, the music and the service. I was very excited about their biscuits which I had before and made me want to come back. However, they decided to put cold toast as replacement instead of letting us know they didn't have biscuits and give another option to choose from... when we asked the waitress about it, she never came back to follow up. I came to 1803 for a Meetup event after work. The outdoor seating is spacious and long, with a covered terrace with artwork and additional seating near the entrance. Inside I was greeted by the hostess who asked if I wanted to sit upstairs or downstairs. They entitled it was like a speakeasy, so of course I said yes. It's a dimly lit area except for the bar, which was fully stocked and presented beautifully. It has an antique feel downstairs, with the various mirrors and clocks. Even the furniture gives way to a classy lounge feel. They have happy hour until 7, which is $2 off all drinks and there is a happy hour food menu. I ordered The BC French 75, and what intrigued me were the ingredients: Dorothy Parker Rose Petal Infused Gin, Boulard Calvados, Cognac, Grenadine, Absinthe, lemon garnish, Faire La Fete Crémant Brut, lemon Juice & lemon garnish. I had to ask the bartender and waitress what some things were, but the drink was spectacular. Each sip made you realize that you were drinking something unique and well-made. It wasn't too sweet tasting, nor bitter. For dinner, I ordered cajun rice and buttermilk fried oysters. The Creole spices were prevalent and thoroughly enjoyable. The fried oysters paired nicely with the aioli sauce. I look forward to trying more of the menu when I finish my vegetarian summer. read more
This is such a cute place with both indoor and outdoor dining. I was here celebrating with a group of colleagues and the food was amazing. They have an extensive happy hour menu and impressive cocktail list. I took away one star because the service was friendly but a little slow in terms of ensuring we had refreshments and refills. we also tried the escargot and the grilled oysters both of which were good but not the best I've had. we also tried the spinach artichoke dip that had a little kick to it, but before we could finish the waiter removed the chips leaving us just the dip. I loved loved the bouillabaisse with all the clams, mussels, shrimp and pieces of fish. If I weren't with colleagues I would have drank all the broth and licked the cast iron pan. I ironically booked a reservation here to take my guests that were in town & realized it was in my Yelp collection but more importantly that I accidentally came here with the gals late one night after my show right before they closed so super happy to mark it off my list! Soooo cute outside & in. We were seated immediately. We were surprised by live gumbo jazz & then the dj who transitioned in was great. I decided to order the gumbo this time & it was amazing! Perfect level of spice. I also ordered the beignets because how could I not?! And, yes did I stuff a couple of them with the strawberries served with it...so yummy! 1803 NYC was a nice restaurant. I expected more as far as ambience and decor because social media definitely has its way of making things seem very grand. Nonetheless the service was very good and so was the food. For Appetizers the table had the brussels sprouts and they were pretty good. It was the perfect amount of seasoning and crunchiness. I was satisfied because soggy Brussels are not it lol. I had a the sweet and spicy chicken and it came with mashed potatoes and green beans. The green beans were very bland and had no seasoning or taste, but I guess with the mashed potatoes and the sauce from the sweet and spicy chicken, It helped the green beans taste good. I didn't partake in any alcoholic drinks just was it in the mood, but I had a mock tail called the lavender lemonade and it was very good and really refreshing. The location is Lower Manhattan and parking can be very hard depending on what time you go. if you go after 6 PM you can definitely find street parking for free. Would love to revisit brunch. read more

Wow , what a great place to stop in on a cold February night with a friend. This is a charming New Orleans inspired restaurant on Reade Street in Tribeca. Layout is a bit weird but it was warm inside and staff are nice .We got 2 cocktails each. The Flight 1803 gin drink with cherry flavor was my favorite and a perfect Winter drink . The Jean Lafitte is gin with dragon fruit and was good too . The 'Oh The Places You'll Go ' drink is a complex but delicious bourbon drink that's perfect for Winter too. The Mississippi Delta I didn't get as big a flavor from but this is a serious cocktail place that's popular with locals for Happy Hour with $2 off drinks. Get the Prawns appetizer! This was so delicious and the sauce was great for dipping bread . Caesar Salad was ok but next time I'd get the Escargot or Grilled Oysters . For mains I got a Shrimp Po Boy with fries. The sandwich is definitely tasty and filling and they give you hot sauce to put on it if you like. The fries weren't very crisp though. My friend had Jambalaya and thought that was really good , we wanted to try New Orleans food . Dessert was the Bread Pudding served warm . Wow ! So delicious, definitely get that . This place gives Tribeca some much needed fun. It's a Cajun New Orleans themed restaurant (with a secret speak easy) that has great raw bar, cocktails, full entrees...and a happy hour? It may only be $2 off drinks and apps, but it's still helps when you live in NY. Drinks: 4/5. Tasty and decently strong, and most come with a giant Ice cube. The small touches stand out. However, they are still close to $20 so you remember you are in Manhattan Food: 4/5. My wife liked their jambalaya and I enjoyed all the apps I tried. Oysters are fresh and big, worth having as you sip cocktails Value: 4/5. Not cheap but an excellent value for that upper middle meal. Think it would be a nice happy hour pick or second date kind of place. Ambiance: 5/5. we went a few times in 2021 during Covid and enjoyed both the outdoor heated seating and the indoor vibes. although it does get crowded, it's not overwhelming with people bumping you. Since I'm no longer a New Yorker I asked a local friend for a good brunch recommendation and I must admit I wasn't quite sold on 1803 NYC but the location worked for what we needed that day so I went with it. Let me tell you, I unlocked a new level of trust in food with my friend this day! We had a great experience. The drinks were gorgeous and delicious, food was impeccable, flavors on point and service was great especially for a city like NY when it can be so bad. The ambiance was super chill even with the live band playing from the mezzanine. Their website has photos of every dish and cocktail and the pictures tell no lies. I will concede that Cajun cuisine is perhaps not the easiest to make vegetarian friendly, so I applaud the effort. The environs are lively on an otherwise desolate portion of Church Street that used to host the much-beloved Pakistani Tea House (R.I.P.). The appetizers of the meal were the highlight for me. The cauliflower tacos were an excellent rendition of the dish - I hate when restaurants bring a sad piece of roasted cauliflower sandwiches between a tortilla, and these were deep fried as they should be. The brussel sprouts and artichoke dip were also delicious. As for the vegan jambalaya, it left something to be desired. For starters, I'm not certain why a vegan preparation necessitated substituting cauli-"rice" for actual rice. Vegetarianism is often mistakenly conflated with a distaste for flavor and calories. The spices also seemed a bit underwhelming, and I couldn't help but feel disappointed. The bread pudding for dessert was probably the best item of the night, so save some room for that. read more

This place is absolutely stunning! You walk in and the atmosphere is beautiful, my bartender was so nice and maybe a perfect French 75. They have good ambient music and midday the lighting is absolutely stunning. They also have outdoor seating. I ordered the jambalaya without sausage, my server let me know that they can substitute all meats within the dish which was perfect because I don't eat red meat. Nice place to hold celebrations or to have a fun brunch with friends, they offer live music during the weekends and a nice variety of dishes all well made. We came to celebrate a birthday and they were very accommodating with all of our requests. The band plays at the second floor balcony but I wouldn't recommend sitting here, first floor decor light and ambiance enhance the experience 100%. My only complain was the restroom which was really filthy, other than that good food, drinks, service and ambiance. read more

One of my brothers friends suggested this place after we walked the Brooklyn Bridge. The place was packed and I did not think we would get a table as most people had reservations but they found us a table upstairs. 1803 is a great place for a date, after work, or a casual dinner. I really enjoyed our waiter as she was knowledgeable but also had a sense of humor. The food was amazing but I think my favorite was the Brussels sprouts. There is something about NYC and how they can not only make great food but amazing drinks as well. All of our drinks were made perfectly with the I don't taste liquor but oh my this drink is strong lol. Next time I'm in town I will stop by again to try out the rest of the menu. read more

Ambiance was great, place had live music and dim lighting perfect for a date night. The restaurant was a little cold so bring a sweater. We are a regular restaurant and we cater (food only) to people that are younger then 21

No. Monday is the only day we don’t have live music.
